Hello! It's Lostgurl here! It's been a while since I have written or published anything. The last time was in 2015! I said that I was going to rewrite The Loves and Lies of The Potter Twins which I have started to do. I am happy to get this first chapter out. Though I have made several changes to the story that has it has completely changed. Which I want to explain.

Lucy Rose Potter is now Aster Sophie Potter. I love the name Lucy but it was too close to the other name from the original story. Don't worry it will be still used in this story. Aster (or Lucy) has been reworked with a new personality that I like very much.

I had a decent plotline now and clearly know what I want out of the story. I have given the story a new title as well. Bréag and Grá which mean Lies and Love in Irish.

I would also like to think that my writing changed since the last time I wrote and I hope everyone enjoys this fanfic.

This is Au for Sixth year and forward.

Warnings: Abuse, Past Mpreg, Depression, Past Character death, Swearing, and other heavy subjects if they come up.

Pairings: Severus Snape X Remus Lupin, OC X Theo Nott, Harry Potter X ?, Hermione Granger X Ron Weasley, Neville Longbottom X Luna Lovegood

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. But also I do not agree with the views of one Joanne K Rowling (May karma come back and bite her in her ass.)

It was a warm night in Little Whinging, Surrey. The neat, identical houses on Private drive was quiet...Except for one, that house was number four. "Home" to the Potter twins, Aster and Harry Potter. Only, it didn't feel like home to the twins.

*in the cupboard under the stairs.*

The cupboard always felt bigger when they were younger. Aster Sophie Potter tensed up when she heard her brother scream. Tears ran down her pale cheeks and she bit her bottom lip. Her brother was out there with...that monster, while she was locked in the cupboard. Her body was tense and knees were drawn up to her chest. She was the one who broke the priceless family heirloom vase and Harry had taken the blame for it. The latch on the cupboard was unlocked and the door opened. Aster's head shot up to see her aunt Petunia, who looked sick to her stomach.

"Quick! You must get someone to come to help you two leave! I am afraid that your uncle is going to kill him!" She said to her.

"But Hedwig hasn't come back yet, Aunt Petunia. And if she did, Uncle Vernon will try to kill her. I sent a letter to one of my friends but I am not sure if he can help. " Aster said with a soft, but serious voice.

"I pray that they can...because I am not sure if either of you will be able to survive this summer." Petunia told her.

June 27, Thursday.

Malfoy Manor's Library.

Draco Malfoy was in the library when Hedwig came to the window. Draco raised an eyebrow before walking over and taking the letter from Hedwig's beak. Normally, he would send Aster a letter first and she would reply back within a week or so. He gave her a piece of bread before reading the letter. Draco's eyes widen as he read the letter.

Draco,

I know normally that you write me first but something is telling me to write to you. Something doesn't feel right here. Uncle Vernon seems more hostile than normally... Dumbledore told him that Sirius has died. I know that there's little possibility that you can help but maybe you can get your father to send someone from the Ministry here. I know that Remus' hands are tied and that the Ministry wouldn't listen to him. I am glad that he didn't go to Azkaban for your sake. I fear that something horrible is going to happen and that Dumbledore does not care if it does. Just pray that I am able to write back soon and that I am wrong about this feeling.

With Love,

Aster

Draco noticed that this was from a couple of days ago. He bit the inside of his cheek. He decided that he would talk to his Father. He looked at Hedwig.

"You can rest in the Owlery or here. I don't mind and I think Potter would want you to be safe." Draco said softly to the snow-white owl. Hedwig gave a soft hoot before Draco headed out to his father's office. Luckily, the office wasn't too far from the library. Draco knocked on the door and waited for his father to say it was okay for him to enter. It was only a couple of seconds before he was given the answer he needed. Draco entered to room to notice that Severus Snape and Remus Lupin were there as well. Draco softly cursed inside his head. This was going to be harder now.

Lucius Malfoy, by far, is a man of honor and respect. When Draco knocked on the Office door and entered the room, when he was talking to Severus and Remus, he notice something was bothering his son deeply. Something Severus and Remus noticed too.

"Draco? Is something wrong?" Lucius asked, standing up from his chair and moving over to his son. Draco's hand tightens onto Aster's letter. His sliver eyes shifted to the other two in the room before looking back at his father.

"Yes, Father. There's something I need to tell you." Draco mustered up the courage. Lucius placed a hand on Draco's shoulder as if he was telling him to go on. "I got a letter from Aster Potter. We've been writing since third year and I normally write first but she wrote to me first this summer." Lucius stared at his son but didn't have anything but curiosity and worry in his sliver-blue eyes. "She asked if you get the Ministry to do a home check for them. She thinks Dumbledore told her uncle that Black died and has been more hostile towards her and her brother. She said that it's possible that Dumbledore won't care if something happens to them."

Remus tensed up when he heard that. Aster and Harry always brushed off his and Sirius' questions about their home life. When they went to Dumbledore with their questions, he assured them that the twins were fine. It never sat well with them but they didn't push further. Severus held onto Remus' hand and stroked the back of it with his thumb.

Lucius' eyebrows raised up from what Draco told him. "Draco, are you telling me that Potters are being abused?"

"Aster has always told us that her family doesn't like magic and suggested something wasn't right. But she hasn't said outright that they're abused." Draco told his father. "Please, Father. Tell me you can do something?" Draco pleaded with him. Lucius looked at Remus and Severus. Remus had look that was also pleading. Severus' face looked like it was unreadable but there was worry in his onyx eyes.

"I'll see what I can do. Luckily, Madame Bones is acting Minister until a Replacement is voted on. She will be more willing to help than Fudge ever was." Lucius rushed to his fireplace hoping to be able to get through to Amelia Bones. Hopefully, the Twins could hold on a little longer for help.

Privet Drive #4

Harry and Aster's room

The beating had stopped before Harry was at the point of death. Vernon had left for the pub and won't be back for a while. Petunia and Aster did their best to take care of Harry. Luckily, they were able to stop the bleeding. Harry's breathing was rough but he was breathing. She fought back the tears even though they stung her eyes. This wasn't fair! Their godfather had just died, killed by his crazy cousin, and all they had left was Remus. Dumbledore wasn't going to help them. Aster thought that Remus could help them. But he was on a mission for Dumbledore and his hands were tied by the ministry. Just then, Hedwig came to the window with a letter. Aster quickly opens the letter as soon as she got it.

Aster,

I have spoken to my father as you ask me to. Madame Bones has agreed to have two Aurors and a ministry official come to you tomorrow morning. Hopefully, they will get you two out of there.

Best of luck,

Draco.

Draco's handwriting was messy. Like he rushed to write it. Normally it had an elegant flare and Aster took note of this. Aster let out a sigh of relief and moved her eyes toward Harry.

"Hopefully we'll be out here by tomorrow morning, Harry." She said softly to him. Petunia watched her niece and nephew with heartbreak. She should have done better. She really couldn't take Vernon on physically but she should have done something more for them. She allowed Aster to pack hers and Harry's things just in case they were leaving. She watched Aster pull a loose floor broad up and pull things out. She could see their wands and a few things of importance to them. She left them to make sure the guest room was ready for Aster. Vernon wouldn't notice since they kept the room closed off unless Marge came to visit them.

Dudley was standing in the doorway, watching them. After the Dementor attack, Dudley had a different outlook on life and what dangers his cousins experience from the wizarding world.

"Aster?" He got her attention. Emerald-green eyes meet his blue ones and study them for a second. "Mum said that you can have the guest room for tonight. Me and mum are going to take turns watching over Harry. Dad shouldn't be back anytime soon." Aster bit her bottom lip in worry. She really should take Dudley up on that offer and get some sleep. But, on the other hand, she didn't want to leave Harry at all. Dudley made his way other and placed a hand on her shoulder. Aster flinched away and Dudley pulled his hand away.

"Sorry, old habits die hard." Aster said softly. Dudley shook his head.

"It's fine. Go, I got him and will make sure dad doesn't try anything." Aster hesitated but made her way to the guest room. The room didn't bring her comfort or any sense of security. She easily could have stayed in the room with Harry but she knew that no rest would come to her if she did. The guest bed was way too firm for her liking. It smelt like dust and soft touches of jasmine. Laying her back and staring at the ceiling, the tears made their way back to her eyes. For a moment of weakness, Aster allowed them to spill over and run down her face. She has gotten used to crying softly.

"Please. Please to whosoever listening to me. Please allow help to come and take us away from here. I fear that we won't make it through this summer." Aster prayed in her head before allowing sleep to take her into a restless sleep.
