Notes:

To those wondering why is Goten acting like that in the previous chapter, here's his point of view. This is very short but I promise to finish this one, this year.

To not shock anyone, this story is basically inspired by the song "In The Stars" by Benson Boone, so if you have listened to that song, you probably have an idea how the story folds.

In Beerus Planet:

Goten was sitting - leaning against the tree near Beerus pond. He watched as the visible fishes in the pond swim. He grabbed a stone and threw it in the pond which created a bouncing effect. Gohan is out there - probably sparring with his dad. They'd been training for 2 weeks here in Planet Beerus. 2 weeks and he was bored as hell. He felt like he was suffocated and he doesn't understand why. Seemed like, his mom is thinking of him right now.

Goten knows how his mom affect him. He knows this kind of feeling. He only feels like this when his mother is thinking about him. You can call it, son's instinct. He sure knows, he ain't the only one having this kind of feeling. In fact, it was Gohan who told him that whenever they feel suffocated, it's either, their mother is thinking about them. He smiled sadly - remembering the last talk he had with her. He wanted to apologize for raising his voice on her, but his pride tells him no. So, he decided to shut her down and went up here - without even looking back at her.

That day, Gohan talked to him and told him to apologize to their mother once they're back on earth.

"You know you're not supposed to say that to her."

Goten just looked at Gohan. He knows what his brother meant. He knows, it was a wrong move to mention that one single moment when Gohan was kidnapped by Piccolo. Gohan wanted to go home, in fact, he was already near their house. Just a short meters and he would be home to their mom, but he decided not to. Their mom would always retell how lonely those days were for her. Gohan was just 5, and every parents in the universe would have reacted the same thing. No mother would be calming down - knowing that her 5 year old son was kidnapped and who knows where he was. She was worried sick but she had to be strong for her family. Obviously, no one knows what their mother had felt during those days. People thinking of her reaction as ridiculous are dumb.

"I didn't mean it, okay? I was just so mad! Admit it Gohan, sometimes mom would go overboard. Her over protectiveness nature won't even let us survive if the world would collapse."

Guilt washed over him. The guilt is eating him alive. He really shouldn't have said those words. That was a very sensitive moment. But what's done is done. There's no way, he can undo it.

"No matter how nagging she is, you have to be thankful that you have her, Goten. Some people out there was never even given a chance to meet their mom. Remember, mom's mother died when she give birth to her? Dad don't even have an idea what a mother is. It was mom who gave him home and made him understand the concept of a family, parenthood and fatherhood."

He nodded - finally, regretting those words he had said to their mother who would probably crying as of the moment.

"Yeah! I was really an asshole back there." He admitted.

Gohan tapped his shoulder.

"We should always be grateful that we have her. Life without her will never be life. I'd rather die." His brother laughed after that.

He had to admit, despite their mom getting on their nerves most of the times, their life would mean nothing without her.

He chuckled. "Yeah, I'd rather die than live a life without her." He uttered - eyes looking at the stars, wondering if their mom is looking at the same stars. Do stars in Beerus Planet and the stars on Earth the same?

He shook his head and grabbed another stone before throwing it in the pond again. He had been doing that for an hour and he felt stupid. The boredom he felt here in this planet sucks.

His thoughts kept drawing back there - when he had reminded his mom of the reason why Gohan had decided to wonder alone on his 5 year old days. He had already said those awful thing, guess, he'll just apologize later.

"You okay, Goten?"

Goten felt Trunks' presence next to him but he didn't bother looking at him. He stared at the pond. If there's another person who would always nag at him, that would be Trunks.

"What are you doing here? Your Dad's been looking for you."

That caught his attention. His dad's looking for him? He thought, he was too busy training.

"Don't you miss Aunt Bulma?" He asked Trunks instead, who looked at him weirdly.

Goten felt like talking about stuffs related to their moms and that alone. Since they arrived her in Beerus Planet, Trunks had never talked about Bulma. He was wondering how Trunks thinks about staying in this planet. The reason why he wanted to go here in the first was the thought of "battle" and it's with the Gods. The excitement he felt when his father told him about this was very surreal. He had never been into fights for years cause his mom kept one bugging him of school stuffs and so he got rusty. Sure, he was training sometimes, but those were never enough. He needed a pure release of energies. Imagine, how his excitement died down when he found out that they would be training for awhile, before the real battle comes out? It's frustrating! He could have finished his thesis here!

It was not like Lord Beerus lied to them about the battle, more like some of the Gods got their coward ass at the end of the day when they found out that his father was recruited by Lord Beerus, and that Vegeta have mastered Ultra Ego as well. The battle halted and they decided to settle it in one fight if Zeno will approve. The proposition about that one single battle will determine the future of the galaxy. So, at the end, they're stuck here - training while waiting for Zeno's response.

He had asked one time if he can go home and train on earth, but everyone got mad especially Vegeta who had thrown insults to him about being his father's son.

"Of course, I miss my mom. But we're doing this for them, so I don't think about her that much. I just wanted her safe."

Goten snorted. "Do you really think we're doing this for them?" He asked - almost sounded as if he's insulting Trunks.

"The Gods were the one involve in this battle. In fact, we are not even related to it, but here we are - acting so cool, helping these Gods in their mess when they can handle it themselves."

Trunks looked at him incredulously. It's as if his best friend can't get him at all. Goten can only glare at Trunks.

"Goten, are you for real? You sounded like your mom." Trunks shot him a glare before looking away.

Goten raised his brow. "Look, this mess is not our fault. In the first place, those Gods know their laws. They're not stupid. This shouldn't have happened if they're only following their laws. But what do you expect!? The Gods are as stupid as their laws."

Goten would never understand the laws of the galaxy. It's plain stupid and nonsense. The Gods were not allowed to fight because it's taboo and can have the universes to collapse. But still, the rivalry in Gods arises as superiority and inferiority arises. It's already stupid to think that some Gods are taking advantage of their powers and even destroying planets out of boredom. When he was a kid, he was enjoying the fights of his dad with the other warriors outside their universe, but he realized now, how stupid those fights are.

The rivalry between universe 7 and 6 is nonsense in his own perspective. Both universe are identical, so what's the point of having the rivalry? Huh, it's because Lord Beerus and Lord Champa's pride. They're not even Saiyans, but why are they prideful!?

Trunks didn't say anything. He stayed silent.

"I know, you don't always agree with me, but don't you think the Gods should handle themselves? The Gods can't fight one another, and so they're treating us their dogs to fight for them?"

Still, Trunks didn't talk. He sighed. Okay, fine! He won! He rolled his eyes before continuing his stone bouncing activity awhile ago.

Minutes have passed and he felt Trunks' eyes on him again. He looked at him - brows raised. Now, they're staring at each other's eyes. No one wanted to give up this short staring contest. Saiyan instincts.

"You should have apologized to your mom if you're just going to nag at me like that." Trunks chuckled before looking away - admitting defeat.

He shook his head before laughing with him. Well, if there's someone who understands him the most, that would be Trunks. They've been together for years and so they know almost everything about each other. They don't keep any secrets to each other. They are open to each other. He knows when Trunks' lonely, or even when he's in pain. He can tell when he's lying. Those stuffs. He knows everything about him.

"So, why didn't you apologize to Aunt Chichi when you wanted to? You're hesitant to come here cause you're worried about her."

He sighed. "I do wanted to go home and apologize. I will even let her hit me a thousand times but it happened anyway, so I just let it go. I'll just finish this mess, go home with her safe and sound."

He looked at Trunks intently. He doesn't have an idea but he always love Trunks' eyes especially when it stares at him like this. It feels like he is seeing through his soul.

"I refuse to die. Not here, not yet. I have to go home with my mom alive." He said lowly. He feels like he was only convincing himself.

Trunks looked away as he shook his head. He followed Trunks when he stood up.

"So, let's get this done Goten! Win this fight and come home to our moms alive and kicking."

With that, he and Trunks ended up sparring.

I am enjoying writing Goten's point of view cause why not? I love him so much. The story revolves around Goten's resolve actually. I ain't sticking to that but who knows?
