"I can't believe the nerves of him," Charlotte said.

Adria looked towards Seth standing close by the coffin being lowered into the ground. The Flair sisters kept their distance. Adria didn't know why. She wasn't even sure why she was there. Becky had been Charlotte's friend. Her sister had asked her to tag along to the funeral as her support.

"Look at those fake tears," Charlotte continued.
"He just lost his girlfriend. Of course he's sad," Adria said.
"Are you seriously defending him?" Charlotte snapped. "It's his fault she's dead."

Adria didn't know much about Seth and Becky. She only knew what Charlotte had told her. Becky had been drunk driving and crashed the car which had led to her death. Charlotte was angry with Seth for letting Becky leave his house in that state.

"He can still be sad," Adria mumbled.
"What was that?" Charlotte asked.
"Nothing," Adria sighed. "Bad man. I get it."
"Don't fucking get an attitude with me right now. I'm watching my best friend get buried," Charlotte said.
"Sorry," Adria said. "You really should be up there with the family. They know you. You should support them."
"In a minute," Charlotte said.

They watched as people stepped up to the grave and threw roses down into the hole. Once people started moving away, Charlotte nodded.

"Go wait in the car while I go talk to them," Charlotte said.

Adria turned around and walked back to the car. She still wasn't sure why Charlotte had brought her there as support. Charlotte had never needed her before. If Charlotte ever wanted anything from her, it was for selfish reasons. And she would give her big sister what she wanted everytime out of guilt. Adria owed Charlotte a whole damn lot. It took about 15 minutes before Charlotte returned to the car and got in on the driver's seat.

"Are you okay?" Adria asked.
"I will be once I get my revenge," Charlotte smirked. "And you're gonna help me."
"What?" Adria asked.

Charlotte started the car and drove away before anyone else came back to their cars and saw them there.

"Revenge? What the hell are you talking about, Charlotte? Revenge on who? For what? And why?" Adria asked.
"Seth!" Charlotte growled.
"The man just lost his girlfriend and now you wanna hurt him further? What's wrong with you?" Adria asked.
"He killed her!" Charlotte screamed.

Adria kept quiet. She knew better than to say anything when Charlotte flew into a fit of rage. It was better to wait a couple of minutes for Charlotte to calm down again and start the conversation again. They drove in silence for a few minutes, and then Charlotte looked over at Adria.

"He's never met you before," Charlotte said.

Adria just nodded. Becky hadn't been her friend so there was no reason for her to have met Seth. It wasn't like Charlotte ever invited her anywhere with her friends. Not even Charlotte's own birthday got Adria an invite. They were sisters but they weren't friends. Something Charlotte had made sure Adria understood from an early age.

"I need you to put on your best act. Become his friend or even make him fall for you. Get some dirt on him that I can use. Find his deepest, darkest secrets," Charlotte said.
"Charlotte, no. That's insane. You're hurting. You need to take a step back and heal yourself," Adria said.
"You fucking owe me!" Charlotte growled. "Do I need to remind you about everything I did for you? I put my entire life on hold to raise your bratty ass, and this is how you repay me? You owe me your life!"

Adria turned her head to look out of the side window so that Charlotte didn't see the tears running down her cheeks. For some reason their parents decided not to bother once she arrived to the world 7 years after Charlotte. Charlotte was forced to take care of Adria from a young age while their parents pretended to the world to be good parents. They had both suffered at home but Charlotte had it worse since she was the one standing with the responsibility of a child when she was a child herself.

"Do this for me and we're finally even," Charlotte said.
"Okay," Adria said lowly.

Charlotte stopped in front of Adria's apartment complex and looked up at the windows on the third floor.

"I wouldn't be caught dead living in a place like this," Charlotte said.
"It's not that bad," Adria said.
"It's bad and you know it," Charlotte said.

Adria sighed and nodded. There was no point in arguing with Charlotte about how she lived. She would have told Charlotte her plans about buying a house soon but she knew that would only make Charlotte belittle her and tell her she wasn't ready for such a big responsibility.

"I'll contact you when it's time," Charlotte said.
"Time for what?" Adria asked.
"Seth," Charlotte said. "I'll let him be for now until he's ready to face the world again. Once he's out there again, we move in. That's what we Flairs do best. We play dirty and we always win."
"Okay," Adria said. "I'll see you when I see you."

Adria got out of the car and walked towards the front door of the building. She could only hope Seth took his sweet time healing so that Charlotte would get over this whole crazy idea as well. She took the stairs two at a time up to the third floor, unlocked her front door, and got into her apartment. She moved over to the window to see Charlotte was already gone.

"This is fucking insane," she mumbled to herself. "Charlotte, you're fucking insane."
