When Shuri awoke, she was in Namor's bed. She was still wearing her clothes from the previous night. She felt a warm form against her, playing with her hair. This new gentle side of Namor scared Shuri more than when she saw him in battle. "You didn't tell your brother or mother you were coming," he said.

"They would've stopped me from doing what needed I had to do," Shuri explained. Namor pressed a kiss into her shoulder. His lips traveled to the top of her ear. Shuri slightly relaxed under his touch.

"You're beautiful," Namor whispered. "Like a pearl at the bottom of the ocean. I know you made most weapons your brother uses in battle. You're intelligent. Beautiful and intelligent. You will make a great Queen for Talokan."

He kissed her shoulder again. "Imagine what our children will be like," Namor whispered.

Shuri quickly got up from her bed. I guess this topic was going to come up sooner rather than later. I know the importance of heirs. It's not a council meeting if the elders don't bother T'Challa about when he would take a wife and produce one.

"I want my room," Shuri said.

"This is our room," Namor responded.

"A room of my own," Shuri corrected. "Until we get married."

There was silence for a moment. "Very well," Namor said. "I will arrange you a room."

"Thank you, Namor," Shuri said.

"About that," Namor said. "Namor is the name my enemies call me. You and I are no longer enemies. You are to be my wife. It would be best if you addressed me by the name my people address me as K'uk'ulkan."

"Okay," Shuri said. "K'uk'ulkan."

"Now, let's grab breakfast," K'uk'ulkan said.

A handmaiden brought Shuri a dress. It was white with green jewels. It wasn't her usual fashion. She wore dresses, but they were usually short. Those were more convenient to wear around the lab. This dress was more something her mother would wear.

Shuri entered the dining room. She pulled out the chair on the opposite end where her fiance sat. "No," K'uk'ulkan said. He patted the chair to his left. He sat at the head of the other end of the table. Shuri reluctantly sat beside him.

Their food came not long after that. The two started to eat. "I have a gift for you," K'ul'ulkan said. He held a bracelet in his hand. "This is my mom's bracelet. I promised her I would give it to the woman I'm to marry."

"Oh," Shuri said. "Thank you."

Shuri slipped the bracelet on. "It's beautiful," Shuri said. Shuri felt incredibly awkward. She compared it to the dates her mother would set her up on with her court lady's sons when she was a teen in her head. It didn't feel like a meal with the man she would marry.

"It is," K'uk'ulkan said.

"So, what's planned for today?" Shuri asked.

"You need to get suited up," Namor said. "I want to take you on a tour of Talokan."
