(A/N: This is where I'm putting scenes I want to eventually include in Pokémon: Quartz and Gravel, to guage interest. Don't read if you don't want spoilers.)
From a book on the pokedex at the library:
The dimensional space enlargement feature had the most boring story of all the features, which is why we're going to include it now.
About 2 months before release date, a man wearing a fez walked into our building. He handed our top engineer the blueprints for adding the feature and refused to elaborate.
Before leaving, the man looked the engineer in the eyes, and said one word: "Geronimo." That has been our unofficial slogan ever since.
Meeting a kadabra:
Russell looked behind the rock and found the source of the crying.
There was a kadabra, sitting in fetal position. It had no spoon.
He reached into his backpack, hoping to find what he hoped he'd find, and found what he had hoped to find: a spoon.
Russel showed the spoon to the kadabra, who looked at it longingly. It hesitantly reached its hand out, then immediately pulled it back.
"It's all right," Russel said, smiling. "You can have it."
He placed the spoon in the kadabra's hand and closed its fingers around it.
Russell stood up, and began to walk away, feeling pleased with himself.
After he had gotten a few feet away, the kadabra leapt up, ran over to him, and hugged his legs from behind.
Russell froze. The kadabra let go, and started nudging his right water bottle holder, where his pokeballs were.
