Many Legendary Pokemon resided in the Box. They ranged from powerful Pokemon like the sky serpent Rayquaza or the frozen heart, Kyurem, but today, one of those Legendary Pokemon was doing a bit of training, as another training dummy was torn apart by a powerful Mist Ball blasting through its core.

"Alright, another one broken apart in a single blow! With this kind of power, I'm sure to be the star performer in our next battle!" One very excited Latias was flying loop de loops around the lake she was practicing at. Seemingly, battle training was going well. Latias turned towards her training partner, Slowbro, for a response. "...Well, cmon, that was good, wasn't it?"

Slowbro scratched his head, seemingly only having just registered the fact Latias was training in the first place. "It was… cool. I enjoyed when you… attacked it…"

"Cool!?" Latias flew right up into Slowbro's face. "Only cool !? Cmon Slowbro, that was more than cool! That was terrific! Excellent! Look at that dummy over there!" Slowbro moved past Latias' overbearing face, looking at the now thoroughly demolished training dummy. Despite the resemblance to Wobbuffet, it certainly wasn't able to take that hit.

"...Yeah, it was… terrific… excellent…all of that times… yawn , five…" Slowbro trailed off, seeming satisfied with that response, scratching an itch on his stomach, going back to what he loved most: Staring off blankly into space. However, Latias was having none of it.

"Come ON Slowbro! How are we ever going to prove ourselves if we don't get as strong as we can!?" Seeing as he wasn't paying attention, Latias attempted to corral him into action a bit more thoroughly. "Look, Slowbro, just… work with me a little, alright?" No response came from Slowbro. Latias sighed, welling up her voice to yell as loud as she could. "Sharpedo on your left!" Slowbro immediately snapped out of his daze and glanced around absentmindedly.

Slowbro paused for a moment. "Where?" Slowbro seemed as confused as ever. Latias facepalmed.

"That was a bluff you doofus. Help me out here, I need you to listen to me."

"Sure. I'm all ears. What is it?"

Latias took no time explaining the problem. "Look, you know how our trainer uses Latios to completely clean house whenever we battle in the Battle Tower?" Slowbro nodded. "Well, I figured, if I could train my attacks to be as strong as they could be, maybe I could, you know, get into that same kind of position as him: Super strong and dependable and all that. And then I'll outclass him completely, and then all of the Legendaries may finally start respecting me as being as strong as them! And then I'll be super cool and-" Slowbro blinked a few times, before choosing to interrupt her rambling.

"But you're pretty cool to me Latias. Aren't you overreacting a bit?"

"They didn't invite me to the Legendary Pokemon Battle Bash! They told me I did attend the party, but I never received an invite! It was obviously them singling me out! Seriously, first that green Latios doesn't like me, and now this! Clearly a lack of respect, and-"

"Who was delivering the invitations?", interrupted Slowbro.

"Ditto, why?" Latias paused for a moment, seemingly realizing something. She muttered some curses under breath before continuing. "Ok, so, moving on, as I was saying, I need to one up that Latios!"

"Didn't that Latios say he didn't like you because you kept bugging him about his family life?"

"Look, how else do you expect me to start off a healthy relationship with him? That guy's just overreacting"

"This relationship is anything but healthy…." Slowbro yawned.

Latias turned around. "What was that?" Slowbro feigned ignorance as Latias continued what she was talking about before. "Well look, you saw my power, there's no topping that! Why won't anyone see that? Maybe next time our trainer looks in this box, he'll see that I'm fit for becoming the next offensive machine on his team, not that cucumber wannabe."

"But aren't you our support?"

Ignoring that comment, Latias continued. "And then one day, we'll receive the proper praise we deserve."

"But do we really need that?"

"What do you mean? Isn't that kind of the point of us battling?"

Slowbro yawned again, sitting down. "That's something you should ask Gastrodon, I'm sleepy-"

"Come onnnnnnnn Slowbro. Just sit me down and explain it to me, alright?" Slowbro looked to her and back. He yawned again.

"Well, you see… what Gastrodon always says is to have fun, and that's always been my philosophy. When I battle, I find it fun. I just don't see the point in getting all worked up over something like this when you could be yawn …. Sleeping, or relaxing."

"There's no time to relax while that pasty skygrazer is stealing my thunder, Slowbro! I'll only rest once I manage to usurp that top spot."

"Well, if that's the case… then have a good time being support in your next Battle Tower…. attempt…" Slowbro began snoring, signaling that he had finally fallen asleep.

"Slowbro? Was that sass I detected there? You better not expect me to… Slowbro? Slowbro! Slowbro!? Can you hear me…. Wake up you dolt!" She began lightly battering Slowbro. "Give me actual answers here! Slowbro!"
