"What's wrong Corviknight? You're looking rather nervous for some reason." This statement came from Lugia, who's amethyst body had fluttered down from the sky after noticing Corviknight sitting on a log, seemingly in distress.
Corviknight, the other half of the equation, was looking half petrified, straight ahead, towards the beach. She was half scared out of her wits. Lugia sat down next to her and tried to inquire as to what was wrong.
"Hello? Earth to Corviknight? Anyone home?" Lugia lightly nudged her, seemingly snapping her out of her trance briefly. She frantically looked about everywhere before noticing Lugia.
"Er, uh, Lugia. Sorry about that. I was… well… see for yourself." She pointed at what she had been staring at with her wing. Lugia glanced towards it and saw something it never could have expected.
"Tinkaton? You're scared of Tinkaton? What's wrong with her?" Tinkaton was standing idly about on the beach up ahead, its pink form not moving an inch, but was staring straight at Corviknight with an innocent smile that Lugia could only determine as some form of malice.
"Let me start from the beginning, Lugia." She turned to it, beginning her recital. "...Way back when I was a small Rookidee in Galar, I'd heard legends about the Tinkaton. The hammer beasts, and pink devils. They're like boogeymen to us, even if they aren't native to the region from whence I grew up. They'd knock us out of the sky and relentlessly assault us, for no reason other than they found it fun. They were the most perfect predator to our kind. I dismissed it as superstition for some time, but then I heard the horror stories from that gray Corviknight who came over from Paldea recently…" Corviknight shuddered. "I don't think I wish to repeat verbally what it had to experience from that pink menace. And that's not to mention the fact that it's been following me and pelting me with rocks every which way… and giving me that look… it's disconcerting."
Lugia chuckled. "I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding. Tinkaton most likely doesn't realize that you two aren't natural enemies here. If you talk to Tinkaton, you might be able to clear things up. We are all friends here now, and the Paldean Pokemon are rather new to the Boxes… so if you could explain your side, it might stop pelting you with rocks."
"It won't. I know it won't. Those eyes are that of a cold hearted killer."
"Well, how about, if I come with you, I can protect you if things do go wrong. How does that sound?"
But before Corviknight could respond, something caught both of their attention from the beach.
"Is that Garganacl over there?" inquired Lugia.
"Wonder what he's here for…"
Garganacl seemed to stop and converse with Tinkaton for a moment, before seemingly raising its arms up in some form of panic. Tinkaton raised its hand and closed one eye, seemingly trying to figure out an angle. And before any of Garganacl, Corviknight, or Lugia could react, Tinkaton sent it flying.
"Dear goodness! It sent that hefty Pokemon catapulting away! I suppose you may not be half incorrect with your assertion, Corviknight."
"..."
"..."
"Is it just me, Corviknight, or is Garganacl getting closer towards us?"
