"So this is the location of the temple of the Aeon, Valefor," the voice of a young man said softly to himself as he looked towards the approaching island.

The isles of Besaid, after years of training this, would be the young man's first step on his road to defeating sin. The traveler was slowly making their way towards the island, allowing the wind to fill the small sail of his boat that pushed him along. Having left the calm lands two weeks prior, he prayed to the fayth that he would make it to the island unharmed. The simple plan had been to gather as many supplies as possible in the small boat and sail north, eventually reaching Besaid. It wasn't the best or brightest plan, but it worked out in the end.

It was still very early in the morning, so when the small sailboat finally reached the dock that had been built on the side of a long beach, no one was around to see the new arrivals. Stepping foot on the dock was a twenty-two years old with tan skin, whiskered cheeks, and bright blue eyes. This blonde cut a handsome figure. He was dressed in black sandals and blue pants with black flames at the bottom. His open white long-sleeve summoners gi slightly exposed his torso. The ends of the two-foot-long sleeve were decorated with blue flames.

Across his back, he carried a simple-looking black staff; it was a Shakujō. It was almost as tall as its welder; at its bottom was a crescent, while at the time was circular with several metal rings connected to it. At his side, attached to his hip, was a katana. Currently, in his purple scabbard, it was the famed Sakabatō. This impressively dressed and well-armed man was none other than the third guardian and apprentice to the late high Summoner lord Braska, Naruto Uzumaki.

Stepping onto the dock, Naruto quickly tied off his small sailboat before beginning to walk towards the beach, the sound of his life footsteps being quickly muffled by The gentle swing of the sea. This was the first time he would set foot on the island, Admiring the place's natural beauty. Braska had told him about this island during their travels, but seeing trumped hearing any day. As he walked along the beach towards the path that led up into the cliffs and the rest of the island, Naruto couldn't help but smile a bit.

As the vast majority of islands spread all across Spira, the Isle of Bisaid was a small tropical paradise—Crystal clear ocean waters, white sand beaches lush green vegetation. Continuing to walk towards the dirt road that would lead to a small town that houses the temple, Naruto released a steady amount of killer intent. The blonde did this to ensure that no weak fiends would be trying to attack him. However, this would not work against much stronger opponents. Luckily the Isle of Bisaid did not have any high-level fiends.

"Yuna, Braska sent his only daughter to this island with a Ronso to keep watch over her," Naruto thought. He had been made aware some time ago that his late master's daughter sought to follow in her father's footsteps and undergo the trials to become a Summoner. He could understand why she thought this would be a noble effort. However, Naruto did not feel that willingly trying to throw her life away was not the best way to honor her father's sacrifice.

Pushing those thoughts aside, Naruto continued to make his way along his path until, finally, he reached a fork in the road at the top of the cliff. The three routes, including the one he was on, a second that led towards the interior of the island, and finally, the last, which from his spot atop the cliff, Naruto could tell this path would be the one to lead him down towards the village that housed the temple.

Not wanting to prolong this any longer, Naruto moved along the road that would take him down toward the village. Luckily thanks to his earlier arrival on the island, it appeared that all the residents of the town were still fast asleep. And as Naruto arrived at the entrance and began to head towards the large stone temple entrance at the far end, he took a moment to look around at all the simple circular roofed huts on either side of the past.

When he finally reached the temple itself, Naruto saw that it was built on the top of a slightly elevated stone pedestal, and overhead was another large Stone overhang that was held up by several pillars and outreaching arches sled towards a pair of large wooden engraved doors. Pushing past the doors and stepping into the temple itself, Naruto saw that he was now standing inside a large circular room. All around the supporting pillars, Naruto saw that each was decorated with a large Stone statue of previous high summoners. The entire inside was lit by torchlight as the walls and the floor in the ceiling had been decorated by ornate rugs hanging tapestries, and elegant wood carvings.

Looking to the far end across from the stone doors, Naruto spotted Stone steps on either side of which were pair of doors. And at the top of the steps, Naruto saw a stone door that he could only assume was the entrance to this Temple's cloister of trials. Glad that there was nobody inside the temple yet, Naruto began to make his way towards the stone steps but momentarily stopped when he saw the stone statue of his former master Lord Braska. as he supported a small smile overthinking back at his past Naruto gave the traditional prayer in respects to his dead friend.

"A summoner," it's just Naruto finished the prayer, his attention was drawn to the voice of an elderly man, and looking to his left, he saw that one of the pair of doors had been opened and now stepped would look to be an acolyte and this temples resident keeper. Turning towards the older man dressed in traditional robes colored in various shades of white, brown, and yellow, Naruto remembered his manners and gave the older man a proper prayer and not of respect.

"Yes, I am summoner Naruto Uzumaki, and I've come to perform the cloister of trials and pray that the fayth allows me to call upon the power of this Temple's Aeon," Naruto said, and at the sudden realization of who was standing before him the elderly man quickly dropped into another prayer.

"Lord Braska's apprentice, it is truly an honor to have you here at our Temple, my Lord summoner," the elderly man said, his voice laced with excitement. Naruto, for his part, could only just give a polite smile and nod of the head, having gotten used to this sort of reaction in the past.

"Are the trials available, or is there another already inside?" Naruto asked as he began to walk away from the statue that had been standing in front of and begin to move towards the steps.

"There currently isn't anyone attempting The cloister of trials. Will you in your guardians be entering together," the elderly man asked as he began to look around the temple, wondering where the young summoners' protectors were.

"No, it will only be me going into the cloister of trials; I do not need guardians," As Naruto stepped away from the old man and headed toward the stone door at the top of the stairs, he completely missed the look of outer shock that appeared on the elderly man's face at the revelation that there was such an important summoner going on his pilgrimage without any guardians.

"But, my Lord summoner," However by then it was already too late it's Naruto had entered the inner sanctum of the Temple. The elderly man was left there standing there unable to do anything but watch the stone door closed.
