I made sure my mind is focused on the Southern wars to keep golden boy outta my head. She's absolutely stunning with her long hip-length hair, chocolate brown locks, large brown eyes and perfect heart-shaped face, and skin that could almost be the same colour as mine. I'd finally found my true mate and there wasn't a darn thing Alice or Edward could do about it. I hadn't locked eyes with her yet, but I just knew deep down she is mine!
I had to keep it from the manipulative duo though, because they thought she was Edward's mate, due to some fucking vision Alice had. How very wrong were they? My mobile suddenly rang, and Alice leaned on my arm saying.
"Don't answer it, babe," I roll my eyes and ignore her. I felt a strong wave of jealousy coming from someone, and I think I know who. I see Rosalie smirk at me as I get up and answer it.
"Captain?" I say in a low tone.
"Charlotte wants to say something Major," he had an amused tone and I rolled my eyes.
"Why couldn't she have phoned me on her phone?" I asked them both knowing Charlotte was listening.
"It broke, and oh go on then Char, tell him." I was outside of the cafeteria now and started to walk down the corridor away from everyone.
"I told you so! I told you I was right... have been itching for this moment for the longest time," she said smugly, but also cryptically.
"Give us a shout if you need any help, Major with that surprise!" Peter said.
"Mike, I've already said no a million times!" A beautiful but exasperated voice said, and I breathed in her delicious scent and almost melted.
"But, come on Bell... me, you. You know we look hot together baby!" He felt his anger flare.
"It's Bella, and the answer will always be no! Go pester Jessica or Karren, whatever the scowling one's name is. It's obvious they like you in that way," she said. They are so close now!
"I've got to go!" He hung up on Peter and Charlotte and listened in on their conversation. He decided to keep his phone out to make it look like he'd just ended the call.
"I don't like them like that, and your way prettier and much more my type." He hears a slap.
"Ow, you crazy bitch!" She growled at him, and his dick actually hardened at the sound.
"One more wrong move Mike and I've got pepper spray in my bag, that I'm not afraid to use." I hear her digging around in her bag.
"I only want one date," he whined.
"That's all you've asked me since I arrived at the first lesson today is my first day. I'm sorry, not sorry that the answer will always be no!"
"Is there a problem?" I ask rounding the corner, and putting my phone away. Newton looks stunned I even spoke, and his jaw dropped in shock.
"No, Mike was just leaving," Bella said, now clutching the pepper spray, she had threatened him with. I felt her eyes on me, but I didn't look because I stared Newton down, who reluctantly walked away.
I only looked in Bella's direction when I knew he was out of sight and hearing range. That is when it happened, and the mating pull took place. Her eyes glazed over and as I got sucked into her emotions she gasped. I took a step closer and my body seemed to move on its own, as my hand found its way into her hair, and my arm wrapped around her waist. Neither of us could look away, and everything around us faded around us. All we could see, feel, smell and hear is each other.
"Jasper," I say softly my southern accent coming out and her lust spiked.
"Bella," she whispered, her hand coming up to rest over my dead heart. Her eyes widened, but she didn't comment on it.
"I've waited a long time for you darlin'," I whispered so low that only she could hear and above all the noise my family wouldn't be able to hear. I couldn't resist and placed a soft kiss on her lips, and she melts into me again. I breathe in her delicious scent, and she reminds me of home, when I was a human living on a farm, surrounded by warm sunshine, wildflowers and forest that surrounded the farm.
"I'll explain everything later," I say. "People are coming," I pressed my lips to hers one last time, and disappeared from sight. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I sent her calm through our bond when I felt her confusion, hurt, longing, lust and love all hit me at once. I think she is testing the waters as she bounces emotions back to me, and I back at her.
Thankfully there were only a few more lessons left, and I had to play my cards right. Alice obviously hadn't seen this coming or else she'd be glued to my side. I sent Jenks a quick text in code as I walked to the last class of the day, with Emmett and Rose. I had to keep thinking about all of this as a surprise, to throw Alice off the path I'm really going down and I didn't even feel bad about it either.
I got a text from Peter, with an unknown number and knew instantly it is Bella's. How Peter got this I'll never know, but then again Peter just knows shit. It's more accurate than Alice's visions sometimes.
"What's going on with you, bro?" Emmett asks me.
"Yeah, you've been rather distant since you got that phone call from Peter," Rosalie's voice is filled with suspicion, as we walk out of the school and to the jeep.
"I missed you Jazzy." Alice comes bouncing up to me as we reach the cars, and wraps her arms around my neck, kissing my lips, I can't help my reaction. I don't return the kiss and remove her arms from around my neck taking a step back, and I see the hurt look on her face as I step away.
"You disappeared from Alice's visions after your phone call with Peter, and have been thinking about the war for a while now," Edward said.
"We are entitled to privacy, Edward!" I said.
"He's right Edward, I don't know what's going on with you Jasper, or why you've suddenly vanished from Alice's visions... but we are entitled to space and privacy," Rosalie said getting into the jeep. Em, and I followed her as I see Bella's truck drive off. I have been sending her reassurance through our bond after I felt her hurt and confusion, after clearly seeing me with Alice. She felt better when I stepped away and that confused her even more.
"I'm going to go hunting as soon as we hit the drive I'm out," I say to Em and Rose.
"Alice was never your mate was she?" Em asks.
"No! I'm fed up with her trying to change me into something I never was and watching every move I make. I think she forgets sometimes that we aren't actually real mates, and have lived a lie for so long. In her eyes, this was the only way you guys would accept us," he explained.
"What else are you hiding brother?" Rosalie asked.
"All in good time, Rose. I'm not spillin' all me secrets in one go, but you can't think this around Edward." We are talking in low tones so that the others a few cars behind us couldn't hear.
"So there is something? Does it have to do with you vanishing from Alice's visions?" Em asks.
"I don't know why that is, to tell you the honest truth. If you guys can let me out here, I can make a dash for it before Alice and Edward can blink." I say making. A split-second decision. There were no other cars now, as we turned onto our private drive.
"Be careful brother, we will support you no matter what is going on, just tell us when you're ready."
"Thank you, Rose, Em. I feel closest to you two the most in this family, and you judge me the least."
"As I said, tell us when your ready Jazz, but don't leave us hanging too long."
I get out of the car and only take my phone with me, as I run off to hunt far away from the house. After I take down a couple of mountain lions I call my girl, who picks up on the second ring.
"Hello?" She asked, I can feel her confusion.
"Hello, darlin'," I say to her.
"Jasper?" She whispered. "I don't remember giving you my number?" She felt confused again.
"You didn't darlin' I have a friend who just knows shit, don't ask how. None of us does!"
"Interesting, what's going on? I wasn't daydreaming earlier was I?" She asked him.
"No, Bella. I'd rather speak with you in person about that, and the special connection we now have between us," I say to her.
"I've never felt anything like it before," she whispers.
"Are you free to talk darlin', in person?" I ask her.
"Yes, Charlie is on a double shift this week and won't be back until after I get to school, so I'll hardly see him." I feel hope flare up within in her after I asked her if she is free.
"I'll be there darlin', I'll tap on your window. Don't let anyone else in, I'll text you when I'm there."
"Okay," she seems to hesitate.
"What is it darlin'?" I ask her.
"That girl?" She asked with a hint of jealousy.
"I'll explain everything later. But you got nothing to worry about darlin'," I assure her.
"Hmm, we'll see. Jessica said you are together."
"I'll tell you later darlin' I can't say much now, sorry if I'm being so cryptic."
"It's okay, I will see you later?" She questions.
"Later darlin'," I promise hanging up and deciding to find a bear to wrestle and have to end dinner. I needed the others as far away from Forks as possible when I go see my girl. They all tend to hunt at the same time every evening, so hopefully, this will work out in mine and Bella's favour.
Had this idea on my mind for a while, and decided to write it out in word, before joining this place, after being a reader for the last few years.
