ALL THOSE LITTLE DETAILS
Hi everyone. Hope your week was a good one. Mine was pretty good, although unfortunately yesterday, I had to face a great emotional stress, of losing someone who has been a constant part of my life. As a way of dealing with it, I decided to write a story, which will be like a second chapter (or a sequel) to my last story: "Valentine's gift". Hope you will like it.
Story summary: Elsie being impressed by a wonderful gift, that she received from her husband on Valentine's day, is thinking about all the reasons why she loves her husband so much.
Legal note: I do not own any of the DA characters, I only use them for fun.
Normally Elsie didn't have a lot of time to herself and those, rare, precious moments, when she had a day off, was her most favorite time. She loved spending time with Charles in their cottage, but she also loved being alone from time to time, like today, when Charles was working and she had a whole day to herself.
Usually she was so self-disciplined, that she used this time to catch up with some cottage duties- like cleaning, but there were also days like today, when she decided to have a time to herself and only do things that she liked.
After she had a long, night sleep and she woke up, when Charles was already at the Abbey, she treated herself with simple pleasures like a long, hot bath, washing her hair and enjoying a delicious breakfast. She read newspapers, took a little walk through the garden and later, she decided to go to the village and do some shopping for their dinner tonight. Charles promised, that he will go back earlier, so they could have some quality time together.
When Elsie came back to the house, she did some preliminary preparations for dinner, she made a humble lunch for her and when she ate it and cleaned the kitchen, she decided to continue her day off, doing only pleasurable and nice things.
She prepared a teapot and some snacks and sat herself comfortably in the armchair, close to the window.
Her thoughts driffted off to the events of the last few days, especially Valentine's Day. Warm smile brightened her face, when she remembered, that wonderful gift that she received from Charles.
Not the flowers and chocolates (which were wonderful too), but this surprising list of the reasons why Charles loved her. It was so unusual and so not in his style. Charles was a man who was very private, not only to other people, but also to her at times. Often she had to go throuh this thick shell of his, to figure out what was going on inside his mind. And even though Elsie was the one who liked to described herself as "a woman of mystery, if ever there was one", Charles was the one who was mysterious in their marriage.
He was reserved, distant and unwilling to show his emotions, although it depended from the situation, one way or another, this list was a total surprise for Elsie, as she would have never figured it out, what Charles valued her for...
She started to wonder, how would it look like, if she was to make a similar list for him, giving the reasons why she loved him. He was not an easy person to love, but Elsie loved challenges. All her life, she liked to have a goal, preferably a difficult one to achieve. It gave her inner satisfaction, to know, that she has reached something that she wanted to reach.
She decided to take a pencil and a piece of paper and capture all those little details, that combined, made her Charles the most wonderful man and her beloved husband.
Things that I love Charles for:
I love how he keeps me warm all night, especially during cold winters, he is like a little wood burner, but better, because it feels so good to snuggle into him...
He can be a little grumpy in the morning, which on some days may be annoying, but on times like this, a little magic trick will do- a good breakfast, with his favorite food, or a sweet, prolonged kiss, which make his grumpiness disappear at once
he is a real gentelman, who never forgets to give me his hand, when we are walking to the Abbey, I will never forget, how he was walking me to work everyday, in the time when he was not the butler anymore. I often asked him to sleep longer, when he can, but he answered, that he must protect his most precious treasure all the time. After hearing something like this, I knew, that my day will be a good one.
When we are working together at the Abbey, he knows perfectly how to distinguish our professional life from our private life. Even now, after all these years of working with him, I still admire his ability to running such big house, without any mistakes
he is a butler in the house, but he never forgets, that he is also my husband, when I'm doing things that are too heavy, or to difficult for me, he is instantly there, to give me a helping hand, just to make sure, that I will not strain myself in any way
I love his smile, when I'm paying him an unexpected visit in his pantry, especially when I know, that his mood is not the best. His severe face expression changes radically, when I'm there for him, to give him some treat from Mrs Patmore's kitchen, or to whisper some sweet, private things to his ear, which will made him blush, in that cute way, or evoke this smile of his, that he knows I adore...
all those little surprises, that he lefts on my desk, when I'm somewhere around the house, knowing how much joy they will bring me- chocolates, small boquets of garden flowers, or little precious things-like the porcelain cat figurine, that he bought for me in the village
his unbridled joy, when he knows, that the day of work is over and we can go back home together. Nobody but me knows, how much he enjoys our evenings together
his chivalry towards me, when he sees how tired I am and he wants to do something nice for me- bring me a cup of tea, surprise me with a piece of cake from Mrs Patmore, or massaging my sore back, when it hurts so much, that I can barely sit
his strong arms, in which I can always hide, when I'm exhausted, confused, sad, disappointed about something. Nothing in this world is so wonderful, as this feeling when he is holding me close...
his tenderness, that he hides very deep and only shows it to me, when we are alone, delicate touches, sweet kisses into my hair and words of love, that he likes to tell me, when we are resting on the sofa together, after a long and tiring day
the sight of his eyes, so much in love with me, when he is looking at me the way that makes me blush, like I'm the most beautiful woman in the world, even though it's far from truth. When I once told him that, he whispered that in his eyes I am one...
his deep, baritone voice, which made me shiver, although I'm listening to it for so many years, but it's still like the music to my ears. I have heard this voice makind severe commands to the subordinate servants at the Abbey, but I also heard the same voice, whispering all the wonderful things meant just for me...
the silent question in his eyes, when he wants to know, if I'm as willing as he is, to spend night not only sleeping...
the shivering of his body, when he undresses me, which is still there, although we are married for few years now, which makes me feel the most desired woman...
his slow, sensual kisses, planted all over my body, causing sensations, that I had no idea about, till we started to be intimate...
his tenderness and delicacy, mixed with a perfect doze of passion, when we made love, which make me a happy woman and a satisfied wife...
all those touches of his and the ability to give me all of his love, tight embrace, that he helds me in, after another delicious lovemaking...
the fact, that he decided to marry a middle age woman, with no money, no ability of cooking, and no real knowledge how to be a good wife and he still believes, that he is the luckiest man in the world...
Elsie put away her pencil, smiling widely...She made it, she made the list for Charles and she simply couldn't wait to show it to him...Unfortunately for her, she had to be very patient, as Charles came back from the Abbey, outraged by something that the footmen did and she spend all their dinner, listening to this story. After they both took their evening baths and lied in bed, Elsie reached for the drawer of the night stand, in which she hid the list.
"Charlie...Sweetheart...I made something for you.."
"Oh? What is it Elsie?"
"Do you remember the list that you gave me for Valentines?"
"Of course I do Elsie...You loved it so much..."
"I did...Today, when I had my day off, I decided to do a similar list for you..."
"Elsie, really? That's wonderful...I would never expect that..."
"Do you want to read it?"
"I have a better idea..Why don't you read it to me Elsie?"
"If you prefer it that way..."
"Yes, I really do..."- Charles put the book that he was reading on the night stand, neared Elsie and put his head on her chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and she gently kissed his hair and started to read...
When she finished, Charles looked at her with pure love in his eyes...
"Elsie...That was so beautiful...I have never received such a wonderful gift from anyone before..."
"I simply stole your idea, that's all...Did you really like it?"
"Very much my love..."
He kissed her and she willingly prolonged the kiss...
"Mmmm...Charlie...That was such a wonderful kiss, I think, that I should add one more point to the list, about your amazing ability of kissing..."
"Why don't you wait till the morning Elsie, because after this night, I'm sure you will have few more points to add to the list..."
"Well, well, you are a bit show-off, aren't you Charlie?"
"I will show you what this show-off can do!"
That's all for this story. Another piece of fluff, that I so much enjoy to write...I just hope, that you will have a good time reading it too. Our dear, old boobies have a full list to be thankful for now. Thank you for reading, let me know what you think, if you have a moment or two. Have a great weekend everyone.
