One month has passed since the Eds returned from Sinnoh and things haven't been the same for them. At Ed's house, Ed was sitting on his chair in his basement bedroom with a bored expression on his face, watching a movie called 'Class Turtle Rampage'. Apparently, it was about a school's class turtle that got doused with some chemicals during a science fair and it turned into a forty-foot-tall collousus that fires energy beams out of its mouth and it began destroying the city. As Ed watches the movie, he suddenly imagines the giant turtle as his Torterra. Sighing, he looks at his handmade shelf that held his third place trophy he won at the Lily of the Valley Conference, his badge case that held the eight badges he won from the gyms in the Sinnoh region, and most of all, his picture of himself, his friends Edd and Eddy, and their Pokemon. Ed walks over to the shelf and picks up the picture and looks at it. He hears laughing coming from upstairs. He puts the picture back on the shelf and walks upstairs and to the living room where Sarah and her Happiny were having a tea party. Happiny picks up a plastic teacup and pretends to drink from it.

"Happiny!" Happiny happily said, making Sarah laugh. Ed walks back downstairs to his room and plops down on his chair. Ever since returning from Sinnoh, things that Ed usually likes to do, don't seem to thrill him as they used to. We mean, compared to travelling in a land with mysterious creatures that are capable of many things and capturing them and training them, everything else seemed dull. Ed lets out another sigh and continued watching his movie.

At Edd's house; Edd was in his room on his bed, reading a book on arctic wildlife. Usually, he was up for a little studying and reading; but after his adventures in Sinnoh, his usual interests don't seem that fascinating to him anymore. When he got to the chapter about penguins, he couldn't help but think about Empoleon. He looks up at the top of his bookshelf at his second place Lily of the Valley Conference trophy, then at his nightstand at his badge case and framed picture of the Eds with all their Pokemon. Sighing, he thinks back on all his memories of his time in the Sinnoh region. Hearing running coming from outside, he looks out his window and sees Jimmy, who was wearing a purple tracksuit, running alongside his Riolu. After another minute of running, Jimmy and Riolu stop to rest under a tree. Jimmy takes out a water bottle he had and sprays some water into his mouth and hands the bottle to Riolu who sprays water into his mouth as well.

"Gee, Riolu. I'm glad we're friends. Ever since we started working out together, I've gotten into better shape." said Jimmy. Riolu looks at Jimmy and nods. After a few minutes, they get up and start jogging some more. Sighing with sorrow, Edd closes his window blinds and plops down onto his bed, tosses the book he was reading aside, and puts his face on his pillow.

Somewhere in downtown Peach Creek, Eddy was walking down the sidewalk with an upset expression on his face. He was upset because he once again failed to find a store that would accept his pokedollars.

"What a rip! Not one store here will take my pokedollars!" says Eddy with anger. He would've tossed the pokedollars in the trash a while ago, but having it reminded him of winning it in the Pokemon battles he had in Sinnoh. As he continued walking, he notices an organ grinder and his monkey on a street corner. Looking at the monkey reminded him of Infernape. The recollection of his first Pokemon brought a tear to Eddy's eye. He soon reached the Cul-De-Sac and sees Jimmy with his Riolu. He sighs with sorrow as he walks to the door at the back of his house that goes into his bedroom and walks through it. Once he was in his room, he plops down onto his bed and looks up at his badge case, his first place Lily of the Valley Conference trophy, and his picture of him, his friends, and all their Pokemon. "Man. What I wouldn't give to have another Pokemon adventure." Back at Edd's house, Edd was walking to the living room where his father was sitting on a chair, reading a newspaper.

"Hello, Edward. How are your studies proceeding?" asked Edd's father.

"Very well, I suppose." said Edd without much enthusiasm.

"Is something wrong, son?" asked Edd's father.

"I don't know, Father. Ever since my adventures in the Sinnoh region, I've lost my ambition to study." said Edd.

"I understand that after such adventures that your daily routine here would seem kind of dull. But you have to move on." said Edd's father.

"I know, Father. But it's rather difficult to." said Edd. Just then, Edd's mother walks in through the front door with some mail.

"What did we get in the mail today, honey?" asked Ed's father. Edd's mother starts to sort through the envelopes she was carrying.

"A few bills, some letters from colleges we sent applications to for our son..." said Edd's mother as she sifts through their mail. She stops when she sees a flat package addressed to Edd. "And it seems our son has gotten a package."

"A package? But I don't recall ordering anything, Mother." said Edd. Edd's mother walks over to him and hands Edd the package. Edd examines the shipping label and his eyes widen when he notices a pokeball symbol on the corner of it. He immediately rushes to his room after that. Once he was in his room, he sits down at his desk and uses the scalpel he has on it to carefully cut the package open. Inside was a tablet with a sticky note on it that instructed him to turn it on and play the recorded message on it. He does so and after he hears the message, he runs out of his room and out the front door, much to his parents' surprise.

"Edward! Where are you going?!" asked Edd's father.

"To Eddy's house!" Edd responds.

"What's gotten into him?" Edd's mother asked.

"I haven't the slightest idea." Edd's father replied. A minute later at Eddy's house, Edd knocks on Eddy's back door. It opens to show Eddy staring at him.

"Hey, Double-D. What brings you here?" asked Eddy.

"This!" said Edd as he holds out the tablet he got.

"So you got a new tablet? What's so great about it?" asked Eddy.

"It's not the tablet, but the message that's on it!" said Edd.

"What's the message about?" asked Eddy.

"I'll show you once we get to Ed's house! Come on!" said Edd.

"All right, all right!" said Eddy as he steps outside and closes his door. A minute later, they arrived at Ed's bedroom window. Ed was sitting on his chair, watching TV where the end credits of the movie he was watching were scrolling up with a bored expression on his face. Edd knocks on the bedroom window. Ed looks over to see Edd and Eddy looking in. He runs to the bedroom window and opens it.

"Hi, you guys!" said Ed. Edd and Eddy climb inside.

"Hey, big guy. Double-D got something in the mail he wants to show us." replied Eddy.

"What?" asked Ed. Edd turns on the tablet he got, showing a video message. He taps the 'PLAY' button and it shows a big man with tan skin, gray hair and mustache, a yellow jacket with a flower pattern on it over a blue shirt, white shorts, and blue and white flip flops standing in the center of a small village.

"Greetings. My name is Kahuna Hala of Melemele Island here in the Alola Region." said the man now known as Hala.

"Alola Region?" says Eddy.

"Quiet, Eddy." said Edd.

"Alola is another Pokemon region just like Sinnoh where you boys were a while back." said Hala.

"Pokemon?!" Ed says with excitement and interest.

"I am sending you this message to tell you that the Alola region has decided to start its own Pokemon League. Unfortunately, not a lot of people are trying to qualify for it." said Hala.

"Why not? Competing in the Sinnoh League was a marvelous experience." said Edd.

"I've heard of you, the famous Eds from the recent Lily of the Valley Conference in the Sinnoh region a month ago and I decided to send you this invitation to try and qualify for our Alola League in the hopes that your reputations can motivate others to try qualifying as well." said Hala.

"Oh boy!" said Ed.

"And to help you boys get started, we will provide you with new starter Pokemon." said Hala.

"New Pokemon?!" Eddy responds.

"Just so you boys know, there are some Pokemon here that you probably never seen in the Sinnoh region so we'll provide you with a Rotom Pokedex with information on the kinds of Pokemon that can be found in Alola." said Hala.

"Intriguing." said Edd.

"Now I would like to show you what the Alola region is like." said Hala. A video played to reveal that the Alola region consisted of five islands. The video then showed the many tropical jungles of Alola, the shopping districts, and most of all; the beaches. It showed a man surfing on a manta ray like Pokemon (Mantine), then a boy and a girl floating on inner tubes in the ocean, then it showed girls in bikinis lying on beach chairs, making the Eds eyes widen.

"It's like Hawaii!" said Eddy.

"But with Pokemon!" said Ed. The video ends and it once again showed Hala.

"So now you see what the Alola Region is like." said Hala. "Now if you would like to accept our invititation to compete in our first Alola League or not, please make your selection." Two buttons appeared on the lower corners of the screen. One marked 'YES', and the other marked 'NO'. Ed quickly pushes 'YES'.

"YES!" said Ed.

"Ed! Oh well, I guess I would have done the same thing." said Edd. "After all, I do miss Pokemon." Just then on the screen, Hala appeared back on it.

"It seems you've decided to compete in our Pokemon League. I am delighted you have chosen to do so. Your first class plane tickets to Alola will arrive in one week. I look forward to meeting you in person." said Hala. The video ends there.

"Oh boy! We're going on another Pokemon adventure!" said Ed.

"The sun, the beaches, the babes! I can't wait!" said Eddy. "Good thing I still have all my pokedollars."

"Same here." said Ed.

"I as well." said Edd. "We should tell our parents about this first. We don't want them to be worried."

"Fine. Let's go, boys!" said Eddy. What the Eds didn't know was that outside Ed's window, Sarah and Happiny were listening in on them.

"So my brother and his friends are going on another Pokemon adventure?!" Sarah asked herself. "Well if they think they're going on a Pokemon adventure without me, they had better think again! Come on, Happiny; let's go tell Jimmy." She picks up Happiny and runs off. Back at Ed's bedroom, the Eds were excited about going to Alola when Ed hears his father calling.

"Ed!" said Ed's father.

"Yeah, Dad?" replied Ed.

"You have a video call from someone named Professor Sycamore." said Ed's father.

"Who's that?" asked Ed.

"He says he's a Pokemon professor from some place called the Kalos Region." replied Ed's father.

"A Pokemon professor? I wonder what he or she wants?" asked Edd.

"I don't know." said Ed. He, Edd, and Eddy run upstairs and to a computer. On the screen was a man with black, curly hair, a blue shirt, and a lab coat.

"Hello, Ed, Edd, and Eddy. My name is Professor Sycamore." said the man now identified as Professor Sycamore.

"What can we do for you?" asked Edd.

"We here in Kalos have heard about your exploits in the Sinnoh Region and were wondering if you would like to compete in the Kalos League." said Professor Sycamore.

"I'm sorry. But we just accepted an invitation to participate in the Alola League." said Edd, much to Professor Sycamore's disappointment.

"That's too bad. I already have three first-class plane tickets to Kalos ready and I'd hate to see them go to waste." said Professor Sycamore. Edd thinks for a second before he gets an idea.

"Professor. Would it be possible to send three other kids in our place?" asked Edd.

"I suppose that would work. But do you know three people there who would be interested in being Pokemon trainers?" asked Professor Sycamore.

"Oh I do believe we know three boys here who would love the opportunity to do so." said Edd. "We'll be back in a few minutes."

"Very well." said Professor Sycamore. The Eds run outside and to an alley where Rolf and Jonny with Plank were watching Kevin doing wheelies on his bike.

"Excuse me, fellows." said Edd, getting Kevin, Jonny, and Rolf's attention. They look at the Eds.

"Hi, Eds." said Jonny.

"Hello, Ed boys." said Rolf.

"What do you dorks want?" asked Kevin.

"I'll get straight to the point." said Edd. "How would you three like to go on your own Pokemon journey?" A minute later; Kevin, Jonny, and Rolf were looking at the computer screen at Ed's house with big smiles on their faces.

"So these are the three boys you wish to send in your place to the Kalos Region?" asked Professor Sycamore.

"Yes. Ever since watching the Lily of the Valley Conference on television, they have expressed desires to become Pokemon trainers." said Edd.

"Is this true, boys?" Professor Sycamore asked Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny.

"Definitely!" said Jonny.

"Rolf also wishes to be a Pokemon trainer!" said Rolf.

"It would be so cool!" said Kevin.

"Very well. I will send the plane tickets to your homes. I'll just need your addresses." said Professor Sycamore. The boys gave Professor Sycamore the information he asked for. "Excellent. Your plane tickets should arrive at your homes in one week. And I will provide each of you with a starter Pokemon, as well as a pokedex to help you get started on your journey when you arrive."

"Radical!" said Kevin. The call ends and the boys look at each other.

"This is so awesome!" said Eddy.

"We're all going on Pokemon journeys!" said Jonny.

"Rolf is also delighted to go on a Pokemon journey!" said Rolf.

"This is going to be so cool!" said Ed.

"Since we have a week before our plane tickets arrive, my friends and I can spend the week teaching you three the basics of Pokemon training." said Edd.

"Good idea. Plank and I barely know anything about Pokemon except you keep them in pokeballs like we see Sarah and Jimmy do with the Happiny and Riolu you gave them." said Jonny.

"We'll meet at my house starting tomorrow at 10:00 AM and we'll teach you everything we know concerning Pokemon for two hours a day." said Edd. "And we should also let our parents know as well so they don't get worried."

"Okay. I guess we'll see you tomorrow then." said Kevin as he, Rolf, and Jonny leave. Jonny puts his ear up to Plank's mouth.

"I'm excited also, Plank!" said Jonny.

"The dorks are lucky those Kanker sisters are locked up in the Lemon Brook Juvenille Detention Center for the stuff they did to us over a month ago or they would've stopped them from going." said Kevin.

"Rolf feels we are all lucky that those infernal Kankers are imprisoned as well." said Rolf.

"Yeah. We're all glad that they're gone." said Jonny. That night at dinner, Edd was telling his parents about the invitations he and his friends recieved from Kahuna Hala.

"Are you certain you want to go on this journey?" asked Edd's father.

"Yes, Father. I developed quite the fascination with Pokemon ever since my Sinnoh adventures and I would love the opportunity to increase my knowledge concerning them and the many different kinds of Pokemon that I learn about in Alola." said Edd. Edd's parents look at each other.

"Well, son. If you really want to go, then you have our support." said Edd's father.

"At least this time we'll know where you and your friends are." said Edd's mother.

"Thank you, beloved parents." said Edd. Ed, Eddy, Rolf, Kevin, and Jonny told their parents about their plans to go on Pokemon journeys and they have permission to do so. And since their school was still closed for the summer, they didn't have schoolwork to worry about. The next day and every other day that week, Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny went to Edd's house where the Eds taught them the basics of Pokemon training like they promised, as well as show them how a pokedex works. Edd, being the generous Ed, decides to give Kevin, Jonny, and Rolf each some of the pokedollars he had remaining from his Sinnoh adventure to help them get started on their journeys. One week later, the Eds, Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny got their plane tickets in the mail. In Ed's room, Ed was packing the backpack he got back in Sinnoh. He finishes packing and zipping the backpack closed when he hears Ed's mother calling.

"Ed. Your friends are here." said Ed's mother. Ed quickly runs upstairs and to the door where Edd, Eddy, Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny with Plank were waiting. They each had a backpack and small bag with them.

"Hi, guys!" said Ed. Edd and Eddy were wearing hawaiian shirts (a/n: the ones they wore at the beginning of the episode "Brother. Can you spare an Ed?"). Eddy throws a light blue hawaiian shirt with yellow pineapple designs on it to Ed and he catches it.

"Here, Ed. Since we're going to a tropical paradise, you might as well dress for it." said Eddy.

Thanks, Eddy." said Ed.

"Do you have what you need?" asked Edd. Ed's eyes widen.

"Oops. Almost forgot my backpack." said Ed. He turns and runs downstairs to his room. Once inside, he takes off his jacket and shirt and puts on the hawaiian shirt. He then grabs his backpack and puts it on. He also sees a large, beige travel bag on the floor that was next to where his backpack was with a note taped to it that said 'SUPER IMPORTANT, DON'T FORGET!' written in pink crayon. Shrugging, he picks it up, using his incredible strength, and runs back upstairs to the front door, the note falling off the bag along the way.

"Ready." said Ed. Eddy looks at the beige travel bag Ed was carrying.

"Geez Louise, Ed. Did you pack enough stuff?" asked Eddy. Ed looks at the travel bag he had.

"I think so." said Ed. "I forgot I packed this bag."

"Whatever. Let's get going!" said Eddy. Ed runs to the airport shuttle that was parked in the road and he along with the others put their bags into it. They all then get inside and they start heading for the airport with the boys' parents waving goodbye while wishing them luck on their Pokemon journeys.

"Well, honey. There goes our son on another Pokemon journey." said Ed's father.

"Do you think he'll be okay?" asked Ed's mother.

"He and his friends did just fine during their time in Sinnoh. I'm certain they'll do just fine in Alola as well." replied Ed's father. Ed's mother looks around.

"Where's Sarah? I figured she'd be here to see Ed and his friends off." said Ed's mother.

"She's probably at Jimmy's place, playing with the Pokemon our boys gave them last month." replied Ed's father.

"I suppose you're right." said Ed's mother. An hour later, the Eds, Kevin, Jonny, and Rolf arrive at the airport. Once they get their bags out of the airport shuttle, they go to the airport terminals where their flights were boarding. The two groups look at one another.

"Pleasant journey, gentlemen." Edd says to Rolf, Jonny, and Kevin.

"Rolf wishes you luck in your journey as well, Ed boys." said Rolf.

"This is going to be so cool!" said Ed.

"I can't wait!" said Jonny.

"I can't wait to hit the beaches!" said Eddy.

"This is gonna be so rad!" said Kevin. With that, the two groups boarded their planes and got into their seats. In the plane bound for Alola, the Eds were enjoying their first-class accomadations.

"Gotta love the leg room, boys." said Eddy as he stretched out on his seat.

"Indeed." said Edd. "This is better than travelling while cooped-up in a crate with no bathroom."

"These seats are so soft and cozy." said Ed.

"You bet, lumpy. So let's kick back and enjoy the flight." said Eddy. In the plane bound for Kalos; Kevin, Jonny, and Rolf were also enjoying their first-class accomadations.

"This is so awesome." said Kevin.

"Rolf is also enjoying the seats." said Rolf.

"Plank and I like our seats too, Rolf." said Jonny who was looking at Plank who had his own seat.

"The dorks actually did something cool for us for a change." said Kevin.

"Plank and I can't wait to start our Pokemon journey." said Jonny.

"Rolf is also eager to start his journey." said Rolf.

"I wonder what our starter Pokemon will be like?" asked Jonny.

"Don't know, dude. But for now, let's just kick back and enjoy the flight." said Kevin as he leans his seat back. The two flights soon took off towards their destinations, sending the Eds and other boys off to start their new adventures.

The End

Authors' Note: This story is a prelude to two future stories: "Alola, Eds", and "Kalos Quest." We'll get started on them soon; but in the meantime, we'll be focusing on our Galar gets Loud fanfic and our Paldea fanfics. And we will also be doing a poll on which Kalos starter Kevin, Rolf, and Jonny should each have.
