Tess knew that she would have to come clean to Luke about her crush on him. Sooner or later, it was bound to happen. But during a rehearsal? Out of all places? And during an argument?
"Stay out of my way and do what you gotta do Tess."
"I would be able to do that if you could stop stepping on my feet!"
"You're the one who can't do what we practiced a million times though."
"Here you go with the practices! I would be able to do everything right if you weren't distracting me every single time!"
And how do I distract you?"
"BY BEING SO FREAKING CHARMING, HANDSOME, HOT, AND A MILLION OTHER WORDS!"
"...What did you just say?"
Tess was still going to argue back with Luke, not realizing what she just said until it was too late.
"I SAID...oh. I just admitted something, didn't I..."
"Sounds like it."
"I can't believe I came clean to you during a freaking argument. Why am I so stupid, why—"
"Don't talk about yourself like that. And come here."
Luke wrapped his arms around Tess's waist and started to practice their upcoming song, going through the full dance in one take.
"There. You finally did it."
"I know. I'm not stupid."
"But you just said you were not too long ago."
"...Shut up—don't actually, because you still haven't responded to what I said about you."
"About you complimenting me and basically admitting that you had a crush on me?"
"Have, to correct you. And yes, about that."
"Do I have the same feelings for your cold self? Mhm."
"...Are you telling the truth?"
"If I wasn't then would I be doing this?"
Luke got close to Tess, bringing her head up for a kiss.
