Chapter 4

Eric lived in a giant house, not very surprising. She walked in and nothing seemed to be from the century. She couldn't help but look in amazement.

"It's nothing much" Eric said

"To you maybe but it is like museum of some sort, but fun stuff instead of boring documents"

"You collect wonders when you've been here a thousand years"

"A thousand years" Sookie said shocked and amazed

"More or less"

"Wow, having lived a thousand years. Having so much memories. That must be truly amazing"

"Let's sit" Eric said while leading her to a couch.

" It must be hard, living so long. Leaving everyone behind."

"You learn not to get to close to people with time. I have Pam so I am not completely alone"

Sookie got closer to Eric. Kissed him, looked him in the eyes and felt sorry for him. She then began to lean on him.

"You really aren't scared of me are you?"

"No I am not. You are probably the only person I have met that I can related to"

"How can you relate to me?"

"I have to hide who I am to most people. Some people do suspect I am crazy or that I am physic but either way I hide my true self from most people. The only person who really knows is my brother" She said starting to tear up

"Hey it's alright don't cry. You don't have to keep anything from me."

"Thanks, that actually reminds me my brother wants to meet you." she said wiping her tears

"We will schedule something" he said smiling

She kissed him. Eric got on top of her and started kissing her. Then suddenly his fangs popped out. Sookie didn't look scared just a little confused.

"Oh I am so sorry it just happens sometimes"

"You can do it"

Eric looked at her in shock. Did she just give her permission? But he didn't question it. He gently moved her hair away from the left side of her neck. Then, he pierced her neck with his taking just a little blood. Then he looked and smiled at her. She smiled back. There is something about her, he can't describe. It still shocks him that she didn't run away in terror.

"Let's take this to the bedroom" Eric said

"Okay" She smiled and nodded

The next morning

Sookie's eyes fluttered open. Eric still asleep, not that she expected him to be up soon. His bedroom could be mistaken as a dungeon with the lack of windows. But the light could kill him so she will eventually get use to it. A california king bed, she never really got the point of the oversized bed. It was comfortable at least. The bedroom must be the most modern room of his house. She looked at her watch, 4pm she would be stuck in here for 3 more hours. Not that she is complaining. This is the first good relationship she has been in. By appearance he may look four or five years older than her but in reality he's a millenia older. It is weird to even think about. She did love him, more than anything. She doesn't know if things are moving fast or if it's true love at its course.

Sookie forced herself out of bed. She wasn't wearing anything. She looked at her clothing but they were torn to shreds. Well luckily I bought that on sale she thought to herself. She walked over to Eric's dresser. She opened and found a drawer of tee shirts. Perfect she thought to herself. She grabbed the one on top and put it on. She looked at herself in the mirror. Then she noticed she had large purple bruises everywhere. She didn't feel pain at that moment but she guaranteed she would. Well I guess that is part of the price. But how am I going to explain this off? I fell down 4 flights of stairs, somehow didn't break a bone, just bruised my whole body. Like anyone would believe that. She took a deep breath and then layed next to Eric. She leaned close and then whispered I love you.

Eric heard it loud and clear. He slowly got up and then said

"I love you too"

Sookie smiled. Eric looked at her and saw how bruised she was. He felt bad knowing he was the cause. If people saw them together they would assume he was an abusive partner that she couldn't get rid of.

"Sookie" Eric said concerned

"I am so sorry I didn't mean to"

"It doesn't hurt, it probably will though. Won't it? Does it look bad"

"Come here, drink" Eric said while biting into his wrist

Sookie obeyed. Her bruises faded and vanished as well as the bite mark on her neck.

"I don't want to do this every time I have a scratch on me" Sookie said

"That was way more then a scratch"

"I know" Sookie said a bit sad

"What is the matter?"

"Nothing, I knew all that books and movies probably held some fact about the strength but I didn't think so much to the point I looked severally beaten"

"Hey, I am sorry, but don't blame yourself. It is my fault."

Eric went over and embraced her. He has never loved anyone as much as her, but he didn't realize how fragile she was. He is going to have to be careful with her, but it is easier said than done. He let her go.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I am fine."

And then they just smiled.
