Chapter 4 Team Weather and Kanto Starters

Lillie and Ash are on the boat as they are going to Kanto. Lillie asks, "Ash... I have a question if you have Arceus already, shouldn't you already win this battle without any problem? And didn't Arceus have the power to revive the Pokemon from the dead?"

Ash frowns and says, "Arceus might have the strongest base stat of all Pokemon, but he can't interfere with what our world is doing. It's the same as my Pokemon, most people think Arceus is a god who can do anything, but that is just them overreacting. If he interferes with something that he shouldn't interfere with, the timeline will be messed up and the universe might be destroyed. I can't just tell Arceus to send me back in time to get my Pokemon back because of it, and I can't ask Arceus to immediately revive my Pokemon as well."

"I... I never thought about that before..." Lillie frowns. "So it takes 2 years for your Pokemon to be reborn..."

"Since I only have Arceus and myself to fight, I was forced to stay in Sevestar while coming up with strategies for the 18 teams. During this time, I also decided to help the victims who now live in Sevestar Region with some things to do. I created my own company: RPA Company."

"RPA Company..." Lillie asks, "What does it do?"

"It is similar to Macro Cosmos, they provide all kinds of welfare and jobs for people and Pokemon alike." Ash says with a small smile.

"I see..." Lillie says, "I definitely want to check it out."

After arriving at Pallet Town, Lillie can't believe what she sees, the town looks really destroyed and houses have become ruins. Ash feels pain in his heart and mutters, "This is the place... where all of my Pokemon, my family... were killed..."

Lillie sees the darkness in her heart and she hugs him, she says, "Ash... it's not your fault... if anything, it's those people's fault..."

"But still..." Ash mutters, and just then, he hears a voice, "Ash... is that you..."

Ash and Lillie also hear the voice as they turn around to see a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle walking toward them. "B-Bulbasaur? Charmander? Squirtle? Is that you?"

The three Pokemon nod as they jump onto Ash's arms, Ash has tears in his eyes and says, "Bulbasaur... Charmander... Squirtle... I missed you so much... but how..."

"After I was reborn, I still remembered memories of the times when we traveled together, I managed to escape all the evil teams and get to this lab. But nobody lives here anymore..."

"And eventually we found each other once again." Charmander says, "Although Squirtle wasn't reborn like us."

"But my partners were killed by Team Rainbow Rocket as well." Squirtle says. "I was able to escape..."

"I'm sorry..." Ash mutters, "I swore to eliminate Team Rainbow Rocket, I wonder if you want to come with me again? I won't blame you if you don't want to, you've suffered enough..."

"Are you kidding me? We're coming with you." Charmander says. "You'll be able to make me back into a Charizard again."

"And I don't think I'm going to be just a Bulbasaur to help you. I guess it is time for me to evolve even further." Bulbasaur says.

"Same here, I'll also become a Blastoise to evolve even further as well." Squirtle says.

"Of course, I'll train you so you'll evolve." Ash says. "But first, we're going to find the remaining Pokemon."

The three Pokemon nod as Ash recaptures the three Pokemon. Lillie says, "So you manage to find one Pokemon back."

Ash says, "Indeed..."

"What are you doing here?" Ash and Lillie flinch as they turn around, they find that the ones who are approaching are members of Team Weather. "Wait! It's Ash! Lower the weapons!"

After the grunts rush to Ash, one of the grunts asks, "Ash, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you stay on Sevestar Island?"

Ash says, "I'm not going to stay back on the island for a while now that I learned about my Pokemon's revival. Anyway, is Team Weather's camp nearby? I have a meeting that I need to inform the boss about."

"Of course, the base is nearby in Viridian City. We were still fighting Team Rocket who are at the gym." The grunt says.

Once they enter the camp, Lillie notices three people who are the ones leading Team Weather, their names are East, Melody, and Leaf.

"Ash, what a surprise. What are you doing here?" East asks after shaking hands with him.

Ash says, "First of all, I want to know how is the battle with Team Rocket, I heard you have some trouble fighting them back in Viridian Gym?"

Leaf says, "It was led by a man named Petrel. He's a master of disguise. He disguised himself as the deceased member Proton, who we killed during the raid in Celadon City's Casino."

Melody says, "And no need to worry about him anymore, a few minutes ago, we still manage to defeat him and get him killed no problem."

Ash says, "I see. Let me introduce you to my future wife, Lillie. She is accompanying me while I'm traveling around the 9 regions again."

"Future wife." East says, "It is nice to meet you, Lillie."

"Thanks..." Lillie says with a slightly nervous tone. Ash says, "East also serves as a Flying Type Gym Leader in the Sevestar Region when he's not on boss duty. He is the boss of Team Weather, and he is also the one who teaches me how to fly a plane."

"You can fly a plane, Ash?" Lillie is surprised.

"Of course, I can." Ash says, "And this is Leaf, if you have Serena's memories, you should remember her, right?"

Leaf widens her eyes and asks, "Wait, she has Serena's memories?"

"Yeah... it was like a memento for Lillie." Ash says. Lillie says, "I remember... you also lived in Pallet Town and you were also close to Gary and Ash as well."

"Wow... you're not kidding that she has Serena's memories..." Leaf says, "Yeah, when I heard that Ash massacred the whole Pallet Town, I refuse to believe such a thing and I knew the Kanto Government was lying, and after learning that they are the ones who massacred my home and my family, I joined Ash for his quest for eliminating Team Rainbow Rocket."

Ash says, "And this is Melody, we met in Shamoutti Islands. She helped me back when we were trying to stop the Legendary birds fighting each other."

Lillie nods and asks, "So what is Team Weather's goal? I mean, Team Rocket wants to rule the world, and Team Alpha wants to stop the evil teams from taking over the world. But what about you?"

East says, "Team Weather's goal is to control the weather. I was a pilot, but I met a lot of my comrades dying because of the terrible weather. I want to make sure that the weather won't affect our flight and also help the victims of the harsh weather."

"That sounds like a noble goal, but isn't weather one of the natural laws? Are you sure you can break them?" Lillie asks.

"We can try, but we are not like those evil teams in Team Rainbow Rocket. We are not going to force Legendary Pokemon to help us." Melody says.

Ash says, "As for why we are here, let's say that we were informed by Arceus that the Pokemon that Team Rainbow Rocket and the government killed were all reborn, so I want to find them before Team Rainbow Rocket does, and I guess it is time for me to start training my Pokemon so I can fight as well."

East says, "That sounds like good news. You were the World Champion after all. So how many Pokemon did you find just now?"

"We only manage to find Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. We're going to spend some time in Kanto to train and find our Pokemon." Ash says.

"Very well. If you need our protection, you can ask us. We'll be there for your rescue." Leaf says.

Ash nods and says, "We will definitely need to have a place to rest."

Then they provide Ash and Lillie a tent for them to rest, and they decide to help Ash train his Pokemon. Eventually, all three of Ash's Pokemon evolve into their final forms, and Ash also expands the moveset of each Pokemon into six moves.

Ash's Venusaur (Gigantamax Factor): Ability: Chlorophyll (Mega Ability: Thick Fat) Moves: Solar Beam, Double-Edge, Leech Seed, Sludge Bomb, Amnesia, Petal Dance

Ash's Charizard (Gigantamax Factor): Ability: Blaze (Mega X Ability: Tough Claws, Mega Y Ability: Drought) Moves: Shadow Claw, Slash, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower, Counter, Wing Attack

Ash's Blastoise (Gigantamax Factor): Ability: Rain Dish (Mega Ability: Mega Launcher) Moves: Skull Bash, Hydro Pump, Iron Defense, Crunch, Aqua Tail, Flash Cannon

They spend 9 days staying at the camp, they also help fight against Team Rocket grunts. "Venusaur! Use Petal Dance! Charizard! Use Flamethrower! Blastoise! Use Flash Cannon!"

With all three Starter Pokemon in their Mega forms, for Charizard it is Y, they manage to destroy a lot of Team Rocket's Pokemon.

"Oh no! It's the World Champion!" "He has returned! This is not good for us!" "Retreat!"

The Team Rocket grunts are retreating, and all three Pokemon return to normal forms. East says, "Looks like the training really pays off."

"Indeed. Thank you for your help." Ash says, "And I guess it is time for us to continue moving to capture some Pokemon."

East says, "I wish both you and Lillie the best of luck."

Then they spend 3 days in the Viridian Forest, and eventually, they find two Butterfree approaching them. One is a pink Butterfree, and the other one has a yellow scarf. The two of them find Ash and Lillie as they fly around them.

"I miss you two as well, Butterfree." Ash says with a smile, and Lillie asks, "Ash, you know those two Butterfree?"

"Yeah, they are a couple, and the male one used to be my first capture besides Pikachu." Ash says.

Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise also greet the two Butterfree, and the two Butterfree also want to join Ash and Lillie because of Team Rainbow Rocket. So Ash captures the male one while Lillie captures the female pink one.

Ash's Butterfree (Gigantamax Factor): Ability: Compound Eyes Moves: Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, Tailwind, Air Slash, Safeguard, Giga Drain

Lillie's Butterfree: Ability: Tinted Lens Moves: Quiver Dance, Rage Powder, Defog, Gust, Psybeam, Poison Powder

"Looks like the pink one doesn't like to fight that much, and your Butterfree also has a Gigantamax Factor." Lillie says.

"That might be nice." Ash says. "I think we should spend more time training those two as well."

While training, they also find a Weedle with the Arceus Mark, and due to it, he gets close to Ash, and eventually, Ash captures the Pokemon. Then they also spend 3 days in Viridian Forest battling Team Rocket grunts and also evolving his Weedle into the final form.

Ash's Beedrill: Ability: Sniper (Mega Ability: Adaptability) Moves: Outrage, Twineedle, Endeavor, Agility, Poison Jab, Assurance

"So where did you get the Mega Stone for Beedrill?" Lillie asks.

"Do you forget I owned the RPA Company?" Ash asks, "I can get any Mega Stone I want because I'm the president there."

"Oh right." Lillie says. "So where are we going next?"

"We've been staying in Viridian Forest for 6 days, and I have an old friend that I also want to find at Route 1."

"So we're heading back." Lillie nods as they all head back to Route 1.

And here is a new chapter, as you can see, Ash manages to reunite with Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, and Butterfree, Lillie also learns about the goal of Team Weather. I hope you like this chapter.
