A Little Chat (an MCU Fanfiction) by Seth's Kiss:

A/N: Heyo, everyone, tis me, KiSS-san, more commonly known on FFnet as Seth's Kiss, ayup! So, I wanted to do something different, and decided I wanted to write fics for my closest friends, and thus was born, the Gift Series! Woo! The fandoms will be super different from one another, but this will be fic six out of...uh, eleven, I think? Might be more? Anyways, hope ya'll enjoy! Bella Ciao!

Disclaimer: I do NOT own anything MCU/Marvel or any of its characters. I do own everything else however (plot and ideas, all the mundane stuff); it all stemmed from an idea, suggestions, and an eccentric imagination. I'd also like to apologize beforehand if any of the characters are O.O.C, so let me know when you believe they are. I mean, I try as hard as I can to keep them in character, but I tend to allow my writing take over my imagination at times (true story T_T).

Warnings: Like the majority of my works, this will be Rated M, out of pure simplicity of not wanting anyone underaged or the like to stumble on my other darker fics/stories because my writing repertoire centres majorly in the dark, twisted and bleak (dead doves, if you will), and it ain't everyone who's a fan of that (of course and quite understandably). So, for safety, yes? All my fics are rated M – tis my default rating at this point, LOL (I mean it, most of my fics are NOT for the faint of heart, please don't venture there or say that I didn't warn ya'll or anything).

That being said, this oneshot here is a bit on the melancholic side? I never did fully come to terms with...most of what happened in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Bruh. Why did all the best ones die, huh? WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO US?! I SHALL REBEL. I REFUSE. NO. Ahem. I am fine. Anyways, this little fic here is just overall another one of my What If Scenarios, cuz I wish Loki and Peter Parker/Spiderman had some screentime together - it would've been sick and I stand by that statement (read the Comics if you don't believe me).

Any advice within your reviews is, as always, warmly welcomed. However, if this story isn't in any way to your liking or if you sense something off, or if these themes or literally anything else doesn't appeal to you, either because it offends you or you are still underage, please, please, DON'T read. Kindly go back and browse for other fics. There are plenty of them, I assure you. Bella Ciao :3

Note: To give a timeframe for this, it would happen sometime after Spiderman: No Way Home. Also, I really recommend checking the flower symbolism for Chrysanthemums - it's worth it, check it out.

Summary: Immensely Canon-Divergent. Peter Parker's entire life had been turned upside-down as of late. Nothing was ever going to be the same. And yet, after the most random of meetings with the last person Peter thought he would ever meet one cold Winter night, just maybe, he'll be alright. Gift Fic Series. Gift Fic. For Asgardian-san.

It was cold. Colder than most of the Winter evenings this month, Peter Parker noted to himself, as he crunched his way through a path of snow. He burrowed himself deeper into the warmth of his coat, wondering if there was ever an option of hibernation for humans, should he take it?

Deciding that was but one of his many odder thoughts, Peter opted against thinking more on the matter and trudged onwards, quietly making his way inside the local, near empty cemetery. It wasn't usually this empty, typically having crowds upon crowds of visitors, all with bouquets. But considering the cold, Peter wasn't that surprised to see no one else around besides himself. Letting out a puff of warm breath into the cold air as he sighed, the young man made his way down an all-too familiar path, knowing it by heart now given the many times he had come here.

If he was going to be honest, Peter had some level of guilt. Because he wouldn't visit his Uncle Ben as much as he did Aunt May. And he visited Aunt May even less than he did Mr. Stark. He didn't...know why. He had no rational explanation for this. Then again, was there anything rational about his entire life as of late?

Peter hadn't had a moment to actually sit down and think about it. From mere highschooler to being a radioactive-bitten-spider-powered superhero, to being under Mr. Stark's wing, to being in the Avengers, to meeting other superheroes, vigilantes and villains, to going to outer space, to fighting a giant purple alien set on eradicating half of the entire universe... Peter blinked then. Damn, his life was pure madness.

Exhaling softly through his nose, the young man lowered his gaze, quietly maintained a moment or so of silence, before setting down a couple of white roses at the bottom of Mr. Stark's grave. And with that done, where would Peter go from here?

"Do you mind if I joined you?"

Blinking away a couple of tears he hadn't realised he had shed, Peter glanced over to his side, only to find a lean, tall, pale man, clad from head to toe in black, and with dark hair held up in a loose ponytail, and a bouquet of chrysanthemums in his gloved hands. Peter stared. He hadn't sensed this guy approached at all - his spider sense hadn't gone off at all. But for some reason, this man looked super familiar to him, and yet, he was quite certain he had never met him either. Realising he was gawking, the young man politely smiled and nodded, skittering off to the side.

"Nah, sure, no pro-" began Peter, before he froze, recognition finally sinking in "OH. My gosh, you're YOU! You're...Mr Loki, sir!"

The man's brilliant, green eyes slowly slid his way, before a small, soft smile touched his lips, not seeming surprised nor bothered at all that he had been recognised.

"Hello, little one," uttered Loki as gently as he could, raising his hand up placatingly "Fear not, I will not harm you."

Peter immediately waved his hands, as if to brush off the thought of being wary of the other; Well, he was. It was Loki. But since his spider sense wasn't going crazy, he was fine for now.

"Oh no, I- Hi, oh wow, hi, I'm Peter. Peter Parker," fumbled out the young man sheepishly as he stiffly thrust his hand out for the other to shake and tried to smile more "Nice to meet you?"

Loki's face was entirely blank now, as he slowly lowered his gaze to Peter's outstretched hand, leading the latter to feel even more nervous. Did he say something wrong? Was he not supposed to shake his hand? Was he going to have to fight Loki of Asgard? Peter really didn't want that. It had been a long day, and- Oh no... He had just given Loki, his full name. Uh-oh, wrong move. Peter was going to die today, what with Mr. Loki dressed up as the bloody Grim Reaper, right?

Instead of all of that however, Loki merely returned the handshake, nice and firm, before inclining his head towards Peter ever so slightly, and then redirecting his gaze towards the grave of, oddly, Mr. Stark. And to say that Peter was just confused would be a severe understatement. What was happening, right now?

Watching with wide eyes, Peter observed as Loki placed the bouquet of chrysanthemums upon Mr. Stark's grave, right beside the white roses he had brought, before Thor's younger brother closed his eyes and stood there quietly. And Peter- Well, he was super tempted to pinch himself at the moment, because no way any of this was real, right? Did Loki not despise the Avengers?

"Why are you-? Um."

Going quiet then, because Peter had no idea how to voice his question without sounding rude, he tensed up a bit, when Loki opened his eyes again to them towards him, smiling mysteriously.

"Why am I here?" offered Loki, as if he had read Peter's mind, though the latter could only nod which prompted the Asgardian to ponder for a moment or so "Paying my respects, I suppose - one of many I shall be visiting today, actually."

"Even though you all fought and...? Uh, I mean-! Sorry, ahem."

"Worry not, you haven't offended me," laughed Loki lightly, before he hummed thoughtfully, and then shrugged "In this world, no matter what we fight for, we...all have our differences, but in the end, death is an immense tragedy for all of us. Only the heartless would say otherwise."

Peter gaped at the other, jaw slightly parted, teeth showing. He hadn't been expecting that reply. Heck, overall, Peter genuinely didn't know what to expect at all - he had only heard of Loki, and that wasn't enough for him to build an opinion, no matter what others thought and had said.

"Oh. Right on, actually. Yeah," drawled out Peter in agreement, before losing him in thoughts 'I lowkey still want to pinch myself, not gonna lie.'

"You knew Tony Stark well?" asked Loki after a moment of comfortable silence between them.

A tad taken aback by the attempt from the other at small talk, Peter stuttered: "Uh... Yeah. Yeah, I did, I-"

Peter realised that the once-villain probably didn't even know who he was. Should he tell Loki? Well, it wasn't like any harm could be done now, could it? He didn't have anyone or anything to lose now. Yet he wouldn't risk it. However, he didn't see the harm in talking about Mr. Stark.

"He was my mentor," shared Peter softly, smiling sadly "He took me in to be his, uh, intern, yeah. He was like the dad I never had, I guess, but not really."

While he remained respectfully, Loki looked somewhat amused: "Stark, as a father figure? Now that, I would have given much to see. I figure him to be over-protective type, but horribly bad at conveying his affection and warmth towards you, no?"

"Whoa, that's exactly it!" exclaimed Peter with a stunned and startled laugh, somewhat in awe "Wow, you're like, really good at knowing people, Mr Loki."

Grinning pleasantly at the wonder in the younger man's eyes, Loki stated: "Well, I have to be. And Loki is quite fine."

Nodding at that, Peter frowned faintly, focusing on something in particular the other had said: "Why do you have to be, what do you mean? Oh, only if you want to reply though, no pressure."

"Because it's easier to be others than myself at times," whispered Loki wistfully, before clearing his throat and looking up at the sky, the ghost of a smile to his thin lips "But I don't expect that to much make sense to you, little one."

"You know, I actually can understand that, Loki."

Those green glittered at that, before Loki's thin, elegant eyebrows arched up high: "Can you?"

Ignoring the other's palpable scepticism, Peter nodded, his whole demeanour more alive all of a sudden: "Mhmm. It's a bit like, when I get close to people I love and care about, I always self-sabotage, 'cause it could go horribly wrong one day, you know? So, before it comes to that, I walk away."

Loki's eyes slowly went wide, disbelief colouring his features, which caused Peter to flush: "Aaaaaaand that, has nothing to with what you just said, hasn't it?"

But rather than contradict him, Loki smiled warmly: "...Well, look at that. You do understand."

Peter just smiled sheepishly, unsure by what the other meant, but also secretly proud that he, of all people, had come to some sort of understanding with none other than THE Loki from Asgard. That felt like a life achievement of some sorts which needed a medal and gold YouTube plaque. Wait, wait, wrong, he wasn't some content creator, what was he on about? His brain was weird. Then again, that shouldn't be as surprising, because WHAT was his life?!

"Well, this was quite nice, little one," said Loki gently, with a tip of his head as he held out his hand "But I need to be on my way now. Like I said, lots of visits to do today."

"Oh, of course, sure thing," smiled Peter warmly, as he happily returned the offered handshake "Good luck with that, by the way."

"Thank you kindly. Have a lovely rest of your night, Spiderman. Take care and be safe now, alright?"

"You too, have a great one!" called out Peter with a wide grin and a wave, as Loki smiled and walked off then and away into the distance, gradually and slowly disappearing into the night, as though had never been here in the first place.

Waving still even though Loki was nowhere to be seen, Peter was pretty dumbfounded. Baffled. He had spoken to Loki. Wow. Now that just made his life crazier, didn't it. But then it hit him.

"...Ayo, did he just call me Spiderman?!"

The End.

A/N: I am pretty sure Loki knows...everything, but pretends not to - a headcanon, allow it XP And here we go, the second one, WOOOO! Again, Asgardian-san, sweetheart, wishing you a wonderful and lovely Birthday! May all your dreams, resolutions and more come true! I hope you'll enjoy this fic too! It was a bit introspective? Kinda, sorta, but I lowkey want more Loki and Peter Parker/Spiderman moments in my life, please, I plead, I beg - why is it the best dynamics that are NEVER explored in media, I will cry. I might write more in the future though, I will try, fingers crossed X3

Anyways, thank ya'll SO much for giving this fic a moment of your time, hope you enjoyed it! Until next time, take care and be safe, everyone! Bella Ciao!
