A Walk To Remember

Plot: Hermione was not popular Draco was most popular guy in school, Hermione's heading toward valedictorian Draco's always on his way of being expelled. After a tragic accident caused to another student, he has one last chance he has to volunteer with tutoring kids, help the janitorial team, and volunteer in the school play. Hermione had little tolerance for Draco what's going to happen when he starts studying his lines with her. Will they kill each other or will something more happen?
It has the love story from a walk to remember how Jamie and Landon got together but there's no death or sickness with a hint of Nathan and Haley from one tree hill so you'll see a lot of quotes and lines. But my own story in there as well

Chapter One: Peer Pressure
It was a pretty cold night Draco and his friends all hanging out at the cement factory by the lake. Blaise his best friend was sitting their drinking with other friends plus his ex-Pansy, Cormac and his girlfriend Asteria. Pansy was still pinning after him which annoyed him to no end. They were waiting for Neville Longbottom (please don't hate me) he's been trying to be friends with the group for a while and they decided to give him a chance or so he thought they were. About 10 minutes later Longbottom appeared.
"What's up Longbottom!?" Blaise said walking over to him handing him a beer.
"You ready to do this?" Cormac said
"Ye…yeah" Neville said nervously
"Don't worry about its nothing crazy you're just going to jump into the lake" Blaise said not drunk but definitely feeling it
"All the way up there? Is it safe? How deep is the water?" Neville said nervously
"Don't worry I'm jumping with you" Draco said
They all started walking toward the latter to get a good view. Neville went up first Draco turning to look at his friends with a smirk. This was going to be good Draco thought. They got to the top and Neville was more nervous than ever.
"Don't worry we'll jump together on the count of 3"
"…. Ok have you ever done this before?" Neville said looking down
"Yeah, we all have" Draco said lying through his teeth
They all started counting down.
"3….2….1…. GO!"
Neville jumped as Draco stayed behind. He hit the water with a huge slash you could feel the slap of the water on his skin, Everyone starting laughing until they noticed he was getting up.
"DRACO! OMG HE'S NOT GETTING UP!"
Draco looked down and Neville laid lifeless in the water. He got down the latter really quick and jumped into the water after Neville
"He hit the pipe in the water"
"I told you this was a bad idea!" Astoria said hitting Cormac on the arm.
Blaise was helping Draco get Neville out of the water.
"Come on guys leave him!" Cormac yelled panicking while everyone else was running to their cars
"Get out of here Blaise, GO!" Draco yelled with that Blaise ran Draco checked on Neville and he was breathing.
"LEAVE HIM DRACO LETS GO!" Theo screamed form Blaise's car. Draco got up and sprinted towards his car he started the car and just started driving away when the cops showed. He slammed on the gas trying to avoid the cops but cops were in pursuit he didn't see a water barrier and swerved and hit the fence. "Fuck Draco said!"
Cops got out of their car "HANDS UP!"
Hermione was relaxing on her balcony right outside her room writing in her journal she had a few candles lit. She saw Neville sneaking out through his window which was very unlike Neville. Neville felt someone looking at "Oh hey Hermione what's up?"
"I could ask you the same, where are you going?"
"Just going to meet up with some people nothing big but you know my parents they don't like me out past 9 on a school night"
"I feel you well be safe" Hermione said but had a weird feeling in her gut a feeling she couldn't shake. What people Neville was kind a like her only had a few friends well just 4 well 5 including Ron's girlfriend Susan. Though lavender and Neville didn't hang around all the time usually its just her, Ron, Harry, and Ginny
"Hermione tea is almost ready" She heard her mother call
"Ok mom coming" she blew out the candles and went inside 'I really hope Neville will be ok'
After tea she went upstairs and got her stuff ready for school tomorrow she always did it the night before because she likes having everything set tomorrow. Her wardrobe wasn't exactly stylish she loved layers and cardigans. She wore very little makeup just foundation mascara and a clear lip gloss. She has extremely busy hair though it took a lot of work she didn't always mind her hair just at school it got in the way a lot. She gets made fun of for her clothes because she's not a showy person but she didn't care school's not about fashion but about knowledge. During winter not so much because everyone wears layers. Luckily it was almost autumn so people back off her for the layers but she doesn't have a lot of close she only has one sweater she loves. Going through her closet she decided on a long blue skirt with a little floral design she paired it with a long black sweater that was semi lose on her and chose her flat black sally jane shoes. She decided to get some studying done she's always over prepared. It was almost 12 and Neville still wasn't back she was a little worried but thought maybe he's just branching out a bit. She brushed her teeth washed her face and went to bed.
Next day Draco woke up he had a cut on his forehead he came downstairs and his mom was on her laptop doing work. Their maid was making breakfast. There was an awkward silence.
"So? you want to talk about it?" His mother said
"Not really nothing to talk about" Draco reply taking his breakfast "thanks" he said to the Rose the maid
"Draco you have no idea how much trouble you caused breaking and entering, a boy got injured, you were lucky you weren't drinking and the damage to your car I swear if you father was her"
"Yeah, well he's never around I could die and he wouldn't notice plus I told you I was out for a drive saw his body heard the cops freaked out and ran that's all"
"Stop it Draco this path you're on I swear it needs to stop!" His mom almost said in tears
"Look sorry ok, I need to head to school" Draco said giving her a kiss on the cheek and headed out he checked himself out really quick in the mirror he adjusted his hair (it looked like it did in half blood prince) he always had a thing for style he wore black jeans that were semi tight around his ankle white lone sleeve with his fil velvet brown coat and paired it with his white classic sneakers he had good but expensive taste. He headed out the door he had to be at school earlier due to the fact he had to see Principal McGonagall. Lucky his car wasn't horribly damaged he can afford to get it fixed He arrived at school and he headed in. Well let the bull shitting begin.
Hermione was finishing her breakfast than she headed up stairs to get ready. She put the product in her hair and threw it up in a lose ponytails and added a headband. She was going to go get Neville they drove to school together she heard the door bell ring and went to get it but it was Neville's grandma. She heard Neville had an accident and was in the hospital. Her heart sank she grabbed her book bag and headed out she was going after school to see Neville.
She met up with her friends Ron was with Susan Bones friends today its nice how they rotated between groups she was better than Ron's ex-girlfriend who kept him away from his friends. Ginny was sitting next to Harry they make the cutest couple. She sat right next to them.
"where's Neville?" Harry asked
"In the hospital"
"WHAT!?" Ginny said
"I saw him sneak out last night he was going to meet up with some people and something happened, he won't tell the cops who he was with" Hermione said
"Oh, wow poor Neville, I wonder who the people were"
"You have to ask" Harry said. They both looked at him "oh come on who do you think did who is always causing problem which group is always causing trouble" they all looked behind them and saw The IT group
Cormac biggest cocky asshole around, Draco complete ass and tool, Blaise Draco's best friend and right hand, Theo the follower, Astoria the conceited, and pansy the slut. They were always making comments or stuff about people especially Hermione. They didn't see Draco with them probably ditching or hooking up with some random girl.
A little earlier….
Draco was waiting in office for McGonagall to arrive, He was already thinking of his excuse
"Good morning, Draco'
"Principal McGonagall"
"So? I don't need to remind you why you're hear, a student claims you were drinking on school property, lucky for you Neville Longbottom isn't talking, The factory owners aren't pressing charges at least not today I said id arrange an apprioate punishment"
"What you're going to expel me?' Draco said with a smirk
"Not yet, besides attending class, you will help our janitorial staff after school"
"For pay?"
"For inner satisfaction it brings," said McGonagall
Draco rolls his eyes
"Saturdays you'll tutor students at our sister school, you'll take part in the drama clubs final event"
"The spring play?" Draco look annoyed at this point
"It's time you experienced other things. Started spending time with other kinds of people. Don't blow it Mr. Malfoy"
Draco left the principal office to go meet up with his friends. He passed Potter and his group pf friends not the biggest nerds but definitely not in his crowd. He saw his friends sitting at the fountain.
"Yo its Draco" Cormac said giving him their handshake and took a set nest to Blaise. Much to his annoyance pansy sat next to him pratically on his lap.
"Hey Draco,"
"So? how's the leg, man?" Blaise asked
"it's good" Draco responded
"I can't believe you were in jail' Theo said
"What did you tell them?" Cormac asked
"It was a nice night for a drive, ended up at the cement factory, found Longbottom, tried to help him, got spooked. Figured I'd leave before they thought I was involved" Draco said with his famous smirk.
"Gotta hand it to you you're a jedi master of bullshit" Blaise said giving him a high five
"Damn that Hermione Granger sure has style" Astoria said with a smirk
"Been wearing same clothes since middle school" Cormac said they all said laughing
"It's the quiet once you got to watch" Theo said
"She might put it on a brother like a pop tart" Blaise commented
"a little maintenance, she might not look bad" Draco said with sarcasm
Hermione was heading to class when she heard someone
"Nice sweater" Pansy said
"Thank you" she said and continued on her way. They all laughed as she walked away
"Thank you" Blaise said mocking her
They all headed to their classes. After school Draco headed to the janitorial team. He had to sweep and mop the gym where there was a science show going on. He saw none other than Hermione Granger. Not a surprise at all if he was being honest with himself.
"This is a device made of plastic wrap, does anyone know what it is?'
"It's a star frame" Draco said making Hermione turn her head.
"it's a star frame it will help you locate stars with the naked eye. Mercury and Jupiter can be seen just over the west horizon after sunset"
All of the sudden Cormac and valise came in and Cormac being how he is had to comment
"Bet you can see angels up there flying around" Cormac said walking past Hermione
"There are things that could be called miraculous. The more Einstein studied the universe, the more he believed in a higher power'
"If there is a higher power…. why can't he find you some fashion sense"
"he's to busy looking for your brain"
Draco smiled a little. Blaise and Cormac talked to him for a bit trying to convince him to ditch since principal is gone but he didn't want to risk anyone snitching on him. Plus he made a stupid mistake and told pansy he'd give her a ride home after cheer after she was bagging him too. They left and he continued cleaning the gym. Little did he know Hermione was looking his way she was surprised he wasn't as dumb as she thought still a jerk none the less she thought going back to her presentation. Draco was waiting for Pansey by the girl locker rooms while he was, he saw Hermione again leaving with Ginny Weasley. The two girls laughing at something he'd never admit it to anyone but Granger had a nice smile and laugh if only she'd get a fashion sense as he remembered his friends saying. Just than he heard the annoying voice of Pansey.
"Hello drake you ready to go?" she said loping her arm around his which he released his arm from hers
"Yeah, let's go" Draco said walking to his car. Hermione a Ginny were going to see Neville at the hospital. Thought they could cheer him up Harry had drama club stuff to work on what with him writing the final spring play. They arrived at the hospital
"Hey Neville! How are you? Are you ok?" Ginny said with her contagious smile
"Yes, I'm fine other than feeling like an idiot for doing something so stupid"
"What exactly happened?" Hermione asked
"I wanted to expand my friend group and had to do a test I should have realized how stupid it was they would never except me."
"Who was it?" ginny asked
"I'm not saying it's over It happened trying to move on" Neville said looking down
Ginny wanted to press the matter but Hermione put her hand on her arm telling her not now
"Well, I have some of your school work if you want, I can come let you borrow my notes if you want so you can keep up on school work only if you want that is" Hermione offered
"Thank you, Hermione" just as he said that the doctors came in and they left.
Draco finally got to Pansey house she wasn't getting out of his car
"Okay, so I'll see you at school" Draco said
"My parents aren't home, if you want to come inside" Pansey said trying to be seductive
"Come on Pansey. Nothing's changed" He kept telling her this
"I know. I just thought" she couldn't finish her sentence because Draco cut her off
"it's over" he said with a firm voice
"Yeah whatever" she said getting out of the car slamming the door
"okay" Draco said and drove away
