Upon entering the EggConda's throat, Marbles immediately regretted it, as her sight line was taken up by an overwhelming wall of orange light before she could get her bearings. Thankfully, however, a hand was quick to grab her ankle before she could fall too far down. "Jack!"
"And just what are YOU doing in here, kid?" The wolf asked as he hoisted her onto his back. She clung as tightly as she could without extending her claws as the flames below threatened to consume the both of them. "I came in to get you! I figured I could help you get out, since I AM an expert in that, after all!"
"Alright then, Miss Expert, how DO we get out of this?" Jack asked, only half sarcastically. He sounded genuinely out of ideas. Marbles actually took the time to observe their situation before answering. After he got "eaten," Jack had clearly deployed some sort of magnetic clamps onto the interior walls to keep from falling into the flames below. They seemed strong enough to hold the weight of both himself and Marbles, but Jack's grip would only hold out for so long in this heat, which made climbing a no-go. And even if he did manage to maintain his grip, Marbles noted how the heat seemed to be drying up the leaves that made up her skirt, and it was only getting hotter. The snake was probably getting ready for another one of those fire blasts it did earlier. With how narrow the passageway was, there was no way they wouldn't get incinerated within a couple of minutes. Taking all of these factors into consideration, she came to a logical conclusion.
"Well, I don't think we can exactly CLAW our way out of this one."
"You don't say?" Jack said. "Well, is there any OTHER way to get out of a snake?" Marbles frantically racked her brain for a response. "...We could give it a bellyache?"
"Pfft. 'A bellyache?' Really?" Jack said, initially scoffing at the simplistic suggestion, but then he got an idea. He'd managed to quickly observe how the flame system worked in this machine, some sort of volatile compound of chemicals that were mixed over time, and which, in principle, would create a powerful, focused jet of flame to use against enemies. BUT, if something else were to interrupt that process...
He reached into his belt to retrieve some small, purple disks from one of the pouches. He never carried explosives with him, on account of having one of the more powerful Wispon types in service, but these disks had a power source specifically built to work in conjunction with the Void Wisp's unique energies for destructive results. Grinning beneath his face mask, Jack dropped the disks into the flames and braced himself. "What did you just do?" Marbles asked, as she also took the cue to brace herself.
"Just giving it a bellyache."
Outside, Cyber and Raccoon did the best they could to try and maneuver the EggConda around the more densely populated areas of the jungle while also trying to figure out how to get Jack and Marbles out of it. But before they could even attempt to make a move, the snake grinded to a sudden stop, as if experiencing some sort of malfunction. Hearing and smelling what was about to happen with his enhanced senses, Raccoon quickly brought Cyber lower to the ground behind some cover as the lower belly of the machine began to overheat and explode, sending the head and neck hurtling to the ground as it lost all signs of "life." Emerging from their cover, Cyber and Raccoon rushed to the head for any signs of their friends. Ripping open the jaws together, the two were relieved to find Jack and Marbles emerging from the EggConda's throat. Both had small scratches, and were covered head to toe in soot, but they were alive. "Ugh...I've never had a bellyache like THAT before." Marbles complained, collapsing to the jungle floor in a daze. Jack soon laid down next to her, catching his breath. "Clearly...you've never eaten at a Meh Burger before."
