Within an hour, Restoration Aerial Transports had arrived and began hauling off the remnants of the EggConda. New trees would be planted in the affected areas come morning, and medical checks were being performed on all parties involved(including Marbles, much to her protest). Jack signed off on some paperwork before turning to a tree that Cyber and Raccoon were relaxing by. "Alright, that should be everything. Marbles, you can come out now. The doctors are gone."
The young cat gave a nasty hiss as she peeked out from the treetop, a small lollipop they had used to coax her into the medical exam was still in her mouth. "They BETTER be. If I never see one of those people again..."
"I hear they have a fear of apples." Raccoon growled to her in Beast Speak. Marbles made a mental note of that. "Look, I know this wasn't exactly the SMOOTHEST operation, but...You DID help out today, kid. I just want you to know that." Jack said, swallowing some of his pride. "Oh, well...Glad to hear that." Marbles replied, as she stepped out more into the open. "What did that chicken man want, anyway?"
"EGGman, and honestly? That's kind of above my paygrade." Jack answered, before pulling out a small device and tossing it to Marbles. "But if you ever DO find out, and things get rough, hit the red button on that device. We'll come running."
Grinning from ear to ear, Marbles leaped down from the tree and tackled Jack in a full body hug, almost knocking him off his feet. Jack, not expecting such an overt display of affection, just awkwardly patted her on the back. "Eh...Yeah, guess I'll miss you too, kid...But we kinda need to get going."
"Heh. Right." Marbles said, shyly getting down and walking off towards the trees ahead. She turned back for only a moment to don her newly acquired black cowboy hat before giving a good-bye salute. Feeling the top of his head, Jack only just noticed that Marbles had absconded with his headware. Cyber leaned over to him as they watched the cat walk away. "-You, uh...Gonna try to get that back?-" Jack just shrugged as he began walking towards the air transport that would take them home. "Eh, I have spares."
