"How much tinsel do you think we should add? A little? A lot? Somewhere in the middle?"

"Anthony, what makes you think we need any tinsel at all?"

Tony looked at his boyfriend like he'd sprouted three additional heads.

"It's tradition, duh, what kind of Christmas tree doesn't have tinsel?"

"One with taste."

"I'm not going to dignify that with a response," He huffed before perking up at the sight of Sylvie stepping out of the elevator," Let's ask la nostra principessa what she thinks about it."

"What are you asking about?"

"We wanted to know how you think we should decorate the Christmas tree."

"Oh! Alright," she said before scrunching her nose up in a confused expression," What's a Christmas tree?"

The room went completely silent. Tony gave her a flabbergasted look while Loki sported a sympathetic one.

"You...don't know what a Christmas tree is?"

"Nope. Is it different from any other tree?"

"Only in that mortals decorate them for Christmastime."

When she continued to stare blankly, Tony came to a startling revelation.

"You don't know what Christmas is, do you?"

"It's not something that's ever come up in the apocalypses I've been to, although there was a universe with something called Krampus..."

"Ok that settles it,"Tony interrupted before his girlfriend could bring up anything related to the movie that haunted his nightmares," we are going to do a full-on Stark family Christmas."

"Isn't that the one involving alcohol and familial disappointment?"

"Ok so it'll be a Stark-ish family Christmas...jeeze, way to kill the mood there, Bambi."

"Sorry Darling, I'll try to be more festive."

"That's better," Tony said before turning to Sylvie, " want to start with decorating the tree?"

"Alright, but do you have anything to use besides that tinsel stuff? It's awfully tacky-looking."

Loki let out a snort and the genius gave him a disapproving side-eye.

"Not one word,Elsa...Not one word."

Despite it being her first time decorating, Sylvie had a real talent for it. She helped Tony cover the tree in swirling patterns of green and purple ornaments with subtle hints of blue garland. Loki levitated the star to the top, and took care of the wreath over the fireplace. Sylvie hung up stockings, and her mortal boyfriend fell over laughing when she asked what sort of gifts he could possibly be buying a Platypus.

After everything was done, they stood back and admired the scene before them.

"I have to say, this looks way better than when I brought those overpaid professional decorators in, FRIDAY take a few pics will you?"

" On it, Boss."

" Okay so what do we do next?"

"Now we bake some Christmas cookies!"

" Boss, should I remind you that the last time you did any baking the tower exploded?"

" Correction, Tony sighed before heading towards the elevator," we're going to buy some Christmas cookies."

The week before Christmas was chaotic at best. They introduced Sylvie to Santa Clause, then had to keep her from stabbing him over "enslaving elves".

Then Loki went with Tony to buy Sylvie's Christmas gifts, while she went shopping with Valkryie and Natasha.

"So, got any idea what you wanna get these bozos?"

"Hmm...something that screams, 'I'm tired of not having a last name, give me one of yours' perhaps?"

Nat tapped her finger against her lips in thought, before a wicked grin spread across her face.

"How big of a credit card did Tony hand you this morning, Vie?"

"Unlimited, apparently he doesn't carry anything else."

"Perfect. Then I have an idea."

On Christmas morning, Sylvie crept out of bed before the boys did, eager with excitement. The glow from the Christmas tree lights reminded her of the times she'd stay on Lamentis before it exploded, admiring how beautiful it's constellations were. She was so lost in thought that she barely registered when Loki snuck up behind her, until a warm pair of limbs wrapped around her waist.

"Penny for your thoughts, elskaður ?"

"Just thinking about the celebrations later today. Did you get Tony's present from us?"

"I did," Loki said as he withdrew the object from his pocket dimension," one golden apple...courtesy of a tree rescued from Ragnarök."

"Good, although I wonder if we might be doing the world a disservice by unleashing an immortal Tony Stark upon it."

"Better they learn to live with him instead of us having to live without him."

"I hope one of you early birds thought of coffee."

Loki moved to wave a hand and sent a steaming mug towards Tony as he stumbled down the stairs. He grabbed the cup and inhaled the scent before taking a huge gulp.

"God I love boning magic people...sooooo present time?"

"Indeed, present time."

*

"I don't feel any different...am I supposed to feel any different?"

When Loki and Sylvie presented Tony with a golden apple, he didn't even hesitate before biting into it. Even though there weren't any overly obvious signs that things had changed, the two Góð's could already sense that his life force matched their own.

"Believe me, Anthony, it definitely worked. Now whose gift is next?"

"Oooh mine is!"

Sylvie grabbed two boxes from under the tree and presented one to each of her boyfriends. Natasha had showed her how wrapping worked, so each gift was meticulously covered in carefully trimmed satin paper.

The boys opened them slowly, eyes widening when they saw the contents. Loki pulled out a ring carved out of dark green jade, and Tony's was carved out of red jade. Each band had a miniature arc reactor embedded in the center.

"No wonder my credit card bill was so high! Sylvie these are freaking amazing! How did you even find someone to design this?"

"Natasha put me in contact with someone."

"That also explains why my credit card bill was so high."

Loki had been silent so far, cradling the band close to his chest, making Sylvie worried.

"What's the matter, Loki? Don't you like it?"

"Oh no, quite the opposite, actually. I just didn't understand how you could want to marry both of us."

"We're a couple of aliens and he's Tony Stark...surely we could figure something out."

"What Bambi means is, he didn't think you would want to marry him," Tony said as he sat a box in her lap," stupid I know, but he didn't want to listen and insisted that I make this just for you...luckily I didn't listen either."

Sylvie opened the box and found two bands, one for her and one for Loki, each with one half of a diamond shaped helm in the center.

For once in his existence, the famed wordsmith was struck silent.

"This is how I see it, Lokes, you and Princess Stabby over there are it for me, mio per sempre, if you will. There's no part of me that wants to live without you...either of you."

"That goes double for me,Loki," Sylvie said as she scooted closer and wrapped her arms around him," You were the first person that taught me how to love...Anthony simply completes that love. So put on those rings and marry us you big dummy! We want you!"

Loki gave a watery laugh and slipped on both bands before pulling Tony against his other side.

"I want both of you too...Thank you."

They sat in silence for awhile, basking in the warmth of the tree and each other, until finally Tony spoke up.

"So Sylvie, do you like Christmas now that you know what it is?"

"I do, especially decorating the tree. Maybe I can rearrange the lab next."

"Don't push it, baby."

Loki snickered and hid his face in Anthony's shoulder.

Eternity with these two was going to be a wild ride...and he didn't want to miss a single minute of it.
