Well guys, here is the prologue. I hope I didn't make it too confusing or too boring here. :-:
Prologue:
He looked at the book in front of him, never in his immortal life had he felt so vulnerable and scared. He was almost tempted to turn back. Ready to fight the demons who had almost killed him hundreds of times, just to get away from this book. But he was banished, and the only way to get his life back was to learn morality. And there it was, the quickest way to do it. Yet the most dangerous.
Hesitantly, he opened the book, and a gush of wind flew past him. His vision followed it as it formed a pretty yet simple girl, sitting on a chair. But when she spoke, it reminded him of wisdom, everytime his daughter would speak, yet her voice was also soft and gentle.
"Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Nor it is full of nightmares and trauma. It's something in between. Like Grey in Black and White. Or the balance of Karma. If one side goes too high, it will pull the other one up from falling low.
If your life feels traumatic, you will get a happy ending. If you don't, then it is the price you pay for all your happiness throughout your life.
A demigod's life is tough. Demititans' lives are tougher. But the hardest of them all would be a Demimordial. Because no matter what we do, we never seem to get a happy ending.
Like we don't deserve it.
And the sad truth? After meeting a lot of them, I can see why others judge me by my mother. I've seen a lot during my life, given the fact I never age. Or the fact that I've seen the Past, quite literally. And that gave me a new perspective on life.
All my life, what did I not suffer? What did I not do?
It's been so long since I have smiled. Since his death. He told me he would stay till the end. He promised me he won't leave me like the rest. Yet it took him only two weeks two break that promise.
I was a merry girl, excited over the smallest things. But now, those memories feel like dreams locked away in a cloud surrounded by endless thunderstorms fixated on an island filled with poisonous gas that can burn through anything, surrounded by poisonous water, hosting endless unknown monsters. And there, away from it, thousands of miles away, is me. Standing on the sand that was burning through my skin, basking in the sunlight that was giving me third-degree burns, while the air I breathe filled my lungs with toxins.
Nothing pleases me anymore. Not after what my life has been.
So would you listen? To this story of mine? That might change you in more than one way?
What happened?
Cat's got your tongue?
Zeus?"
Her voice changed cold at the end, dripping with hatred as she opened her eyes to look straight at Zeus. Her starry night which only held coldness looked at Zeus. But before he could reply, she turned back into a puff of wind and flew back into the book.
Zeus turned around to see the book again, still having double thoughts about what he was going to do. Because either this would make him lose his biggest fatal flaw, ego, or would destroy his mind utterly, as he is the one who would experience it.
So, hesitantly, he turned the page. He didn't even get to say a word before he was sucked into the book.
He didn't even get to read the title.
Day 1...
And that's a cut! Hopefully, you all would like it. Nevertheless, share your thoughts! And thank you for following me catgirl2900! You have no idea how much that means to me! Expect the chapter in a month or so, I promise to make it long. Like 9 or 10k. Cause that's my limit. Not for writing, but for typing. Unless someone is kind enough to type for me.
