A/N Angry9guy: Yes, the sequel to Luke In The Loud House is here! Also, you may wanna check out A Bitter End, which is a prequel to this.
It was the morning of a certain blonde's 12th birthday. A blonde who won Audition and took America by storm. Snow blankets the ground outside Huntington Manor, almost like the thick frosting on a cake.
Luke slowly wakes up and stretches, then gets out of bed. He then goes into his bathroom and smiles at his reflection as he brushes his hair.
"Today is my birthday. It's the best day of the year!" Luke says, smiling. He walked out of his room and saw Luna.
"Oh, good morning, sis." Luke says.
"Morning and happy birthday, Luke!" Luna says. She had grown up a bit and wore a purple hoodie and purple pajamas with white moons and stars on them.
"Thank you." Luke says. "I look forward to today and seeing what it will bring. This is my favorite day of the whole year, next to Easter and Christmas!"
"Happy birthday, Luke." Lana said. She had grown up a bit and even let her hair down. She wore a green hoodie, blue pants, and held Hops in her hands.
"Thank you!" Luke says as he soon goes downstairs.
Lincoln and Charity finished making Luke's birthday breakfast. They had outdone themselves this year, as they made the pancakes into the shape of the number 12.
Lucy came downstairs as she had gone though some changes. She had trimmed her hair showing her eyes and wore a black sweater with a white skull on it. She also wore some black gloves.
"Happy birthday, Luke!" Lincoln says as he didn't change too much.
Luke smiles and noticed his birthday breakfast.
"Happy birthday, Luke. Hey, Lincoln." Lucy says
"Thank you!" Luke says as he looks at the pancakes. "Amazing!" Luke says.
"Any big plans today, birthday boy?" Charity asks Luke.
Luke thinks. "Planning on getting back on TV soon." Luke says.
Leni soon came down. She had her hair in a bun and wore a teal green shirt and wore green slippers. Luke smiles at her.
"Happy birthday, Luke!" Leni says.
"Thank you!" Luke says, smiling.
Luke is in his room after breakfast, browsing on his laptop. He sees something catch his eye, which is an ad for America's Next Hitmaker.
"I gotta join…" Luke says. "All I have to do is record a song and send it in. Easy enough."
Luna overhears and sees that Mick was going to be a judge. "Oh, wow, Mick's going to be there! I need to find a way to get there…" Luna says. "I'll just record one original song after Luke's birthday celebrations. I'll tell the Moon Goats too." Luna says.
Later, Lucy decorates the house for the party. She was using Arctic blue balloons and an Ace Savvy style birthday banner with Luke's name on it.
Luke was recording a song in his room. It was a cover that he did amazingly every time, and that song was "Don't Walk Away". He sings it beautifully and soon sends it off.
Luke begins to wait.
Meanwhile, Ronnie Anne was with her family, heading to Royal Woods for Luke's 12th birthday celebration.
"Carl, don't touch Luke's birthday cake! I worked super hard on it and I want it to stay nice until it's time to cut it." Ronnie Anne says.
Carl crossed his arms, pouting.
Meanwhile, Luna was smiling and seeing gifts from Brandy, Randy and Savannah. "That's nice. Wait, oh, no….I left Brandy alone with Randy that night. How could I have done this to my Munchkin? He was too young to die. Okay, after Luke's birthday celebrations, I'll find him." Luna says, feeling like a horrible sister.
(A/N: If you read "A Bitter End", you'll know what happened.)
Soon, Luke got a response.
"I'M IN! I'M IN! AHHHHH!" Luke screams.
Lucy comes in.
"Luke?! Are you all right?!" She asked.
"I'M IN! I'M IN!" Luke shouts happily.
Charity smiles.
"Cupcake, that's amazing!" Charity says, hugging Luke. "Ronnie Anne's here, by the way."
Luke smiled. "My lovely Spanish rose is here…." He goes to greet her.
"Happy birthday, Luke!" The Casagrande family says.
Luke smiles. "Thank you. Where's my lovely girlfriend?"
Ronnie Anne came up to Luke and kissed him. Luke blushed and grinned.
They walk to the party.
Downstairs, the party is in full swing. Luke looks around. He overhears that Garrett wouldn't be able to make it to his party. It saddens him.
Luke sniffed. "My best friend hates me…" he sobbed. "He doesn't want to celebrate my birthday…"
"It's okay, he can come tomorrow. I mean, you're celebrating twice…" Lincoln says.
"It's not the same! It's only perfect if everyone is here for both days! I don't care about his family emergency. I'm the only one he should worry about!" Luke sobbed, simply not caring that Garrett's aunt was sick.
Lucy tries to calm him down. Luke walked off, infuriated. He is now sitting away from everyone.
Ronnie Anne came to him.
"Luke, are you okay, love?" Ronnie Anne asks Luke as she rubs his back.
Luke sniffed, still upset.
"It's not fair….I thought he was coming today…." Luke says sadly.
"It's going to be okay." Ronnie Anne says as she holds Luke.
She brings Luke back to the party, only to discover Carl had eaten half of the cake she made for Luke.
"Ha, ha, ha!" Lucy laughed.
"What's so funny?" Carl asked
"I made a duplicate. I knew someone would want to be after the cake." Lucy laughed and revealed the real one was okay.
Later, it was gift time. Luke was sitting in a corner, Ronnie Anne trying to coax him out of said corner.
"I hate everyone, they all failed Luke…even my mom hates me…." Luke says.
"That's not true, Luke." Ronnie Anne says.
"Yes, it is. They never loved me…" Luke says. "If they did, they would know that I deserve to feel special every day!" Luke sobbed.
Ronnie Anne hugs Luke. "Don't you want to open your birthday gifts, love?" She asks him.
Luke sighed, nodded, and opened Ronnie Anne's gift. It was a spy costume for his performance wardrobe. Luke smiled a bit.
Lucy watched over the cake, making sure no one eats it until it's time.
Luke opens Lola's gift to reveal a silver crown. Luke smiles at this and puts it on.
Luke opens Luna's gift and sees a blue guitar. "Awesome! Thank you, Luna!" Luke says.
"No problem." Luna says, ruffling his hair.
After a few more gifts, Luke had gone back to his corner as the dancing began again.
Leni puts a teddy bear next to him, and Luke sadly holds it. He saw this party was falling apart and quickly escaped it by scurrying up to his room with the bear in hand, not coming out for 45 minutes.
Carl snuck up and tackled Lucy. "Get off of me!" Lucy says and chanted a spell, but Carl poked her in the eye and began eating the cake.
Some time later, Luna came to check on him.
"Hey, little dude…are you okay?" Luna asked Luke. "Everyone got pretty worried when you just ran upstairs."
"No!" Luke sobbed. "I'm not happy at all! I thought that everything was supposed to go my way today, but so far it hasn't…" Luke then sniffed and blew his nose into a tissue. "My best friend forgot my birthday, my cake is ruined, my friends would rather see Garrett instead of me, and of course, the other siblings are trying to get out of celebrating my birthday…."
Luna holds him, furious with the others and because Luke's day hadn't been about him.
"Does anyone love me?" Luke asked Luna.
"I do, Ronnie Anne does, Lucy does, Lisa does, Leni does, Lincoln does, and I know Mom does." Luna says.
"I'm leaving…." Luke sobbed.
"No, you're not. I've had enough of the others' attitude toward you, and I'm going to let them know that while you're by my side." Luna says, holding Luke's hand as she leads him back downstairs.
Downstairs, the party was still going on. Carl had eaten the cake while Ronnie Anne was screaming at him and Lucy was hurt. The siblings were eating the food and dancing as their friends looked at them in shame. Sam had arrived to see all this and she was just in shock at this behavior unfolding at Luke's birthday party. Luna came down with Luke by this point.
"Lunes!" Sam says upon seeing her.
"Sammy!" Luna says back, smiling at her.
"What's been going on here?" Sam asks Luna.
Luke screamed and sobbed. Sam then holds Luke, consoling him.
"My siblings are being selfish and mean, and I'm going to put a stop to it." Luna says as she walks over to the stereo and shuts the music off. Leni, Lisa, Lily, Lincoln, Lucy, and Lana take that as a cue to come up to Luna and side with her, as they are about to watch the 'fireworks' get released.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi had seen the party from outside and decided to head to the store and buy a cake for Luke, but he was short 5 bucks. "Oh, no…" Angry Luigi says.
Alem tuber sighed and gave it to him. "Here, take it." Alem tuber says.
"Thanks. Does that mean you're done hating Luke?" Angry Luigi asked
"He's still my rival." Alem tuber says as Angry Luigi sighed.
"What are you waiting for? Go!" He says as Angry Luigi runs off before tripping and dropping the cake.
"On second thought, we should have just asked Savannah." Alem tuber says as Angry Luigi wishes he could have his money back.
They begin to head to see Savannah.
"Hi, guys, let me guess, Luke needs a cake?" Savannah asked as they nod.
"Lucky for you guys, I made a backup cake. All we need to do is to get it to Luke somehow." Savannah says as Angry Luigi gets an idea.
Meanwhile, Leni was feeling bad, worried about Luke. He had been happy most of today, but now it had turned to "smushy mud and sharp rocks", a term Lana now uses to describe a bad situation.
Luna is now standing before the rest of the siblings, her face a very angry shade of red.
(A/N- Crumbelina's Sweet Admirer: Leni, Lisa, Lily, Lucy, Lincoln, and Lana are not the ones in trouble here.)
"How could you do this?! Why do you hate Luke so much?! Why are you so impatient?! He waits on all your birthdays! Why can't you wait for him to be ready to eat or rejoin his party when he's feeling upset?!" Luna says as she is steaming mad.
"It's how we are, you know we can't control ourselves…" Lynn says.
"Why don't you talk to Carl, the cake addict?!" Lori asks Luna.
Luna saw that Ronnie Anne and the Casagrandes were already dealing with Carl, so there was no need for her to intervene there. She turns back to the siblings, angrier than before.
"This is about all of YOU!" Luna screamed. She saw Lori was texting and not listening to her, so she walked up to Lori, grabbed her phone, and put it in Charity's waiting hands. That was a guaranteed sign that Lori wouldn't be getting her phone back for a long time.
"Thank you. Now, you all better listen to Luna!" Charity says before letting Luna continue to scold the siblings before her.
"Lori, can you stay off your phone for 5 minutes?! It's like we barely exist to you! Lynn, can you stop talking about how GREAT you are at sports?! It's annoying as hell! Lola, you can stop acting like you didn't do anything wrong, because I know for a fact that you have acted spoiled, conceited, and just plain mean since you started doing pageants, and frankly, I know that Lindsey Sweetwater has plenty of proof of you cheating and bribing the judges in several of them just so you could have more trophies and tiaras to brag about in front of your little pageant friends! Luan, you may be a great cook, but your pranks and puns have driven me insane! Frankly, I don't understand what Benny even sees in you!" Luna says, still steaming mad.
"Now, here's what will happen to the four of you. Starting with Lori, your driving privileges are severely limited as the only places you'll be allowed to go are to school, work, and church. That's it. Your phone will be in my possession for a while. And your laptop is going to have school settings put on it, which means it will be used for homework and any other non-school assignment you will be given, starting tomorrow. No social media or going out with friends, either." Charity tells Lori. Lori looks ashamed of herself, hurt by the punishment given to her.
"Lynn, no more sports for you, young lady. I'm calling all your coaches as soon as I'm done here and telling them to take you off all the teams you're currently on. That means no more playing sports here at home and no more turning anything into a sport. And for trying to hurt Luke before you went to jail, you are no longer wearing anything relating to sports. And your laptop will also have school settings put on it. Also, when we're done here, you can pack up all your sports equipment and have it ready to go to Goodwill." Lynn just looks down at her feet, quietly sobbing.
"Lola, after what I heard Luna say, I'm definitely pulling you out of all your future pageants. And you will start dressing like a normal little girl, because you have so many cute outfits in your closet just begging to be worn by you! All your gowns, tiaras, and gloves will go in storage and will be used on FORMAL occasions only! No more wearing them for tea parties or to school. And as for your princess bed, I will make sure you sleep in a GUEST ROOM instead!" Charity says. "I will sell your bed at the next auction I'll be part of!" Lola can do nothing but sob as Lana smirks.
"Luan, it honestly does pain me to say this, but you can't do jokes or puns here anymore. It's honestly not worth all the pain and suffering this family has gone through every April Fools' Day. And I would think of what to tell your viewers and listeners, because I'm also shutting down your little podcast. The only things I'll allow you to do are cook and do your party business. Nothing else. The only things you'll be keeping are what you need for Funny Business and Mr. Coconuts, too. Everything else is to be boxed up and ready to be donated to the local joke shop in town. And I have signed you up for cooking classes. You are expected to take them seriously, young lady." Luan nodded shamefully, her head hung low.
Lisa was working on something when her transporter was acting up as Lisa sees a box with a cake inside "For Luke, how nice! Wait, Either Bill sent this or it's poisoned…" Lisa says as the portal closes. "Oh, well, let's just hope for the best." Lisa says and heads out of the garage.
"What is wrong with you, Carl?!" Ronnie Anne says. "I asked you to leave the cake alone, but you couldn't even do that!"
Carl just burps in response.
Back with Luke, he was in tears as Sam held him. He knew his birthday wasn't happy, and all he wanted to do at this point was to just go to his room and never come out again.
"I hate them!" Luke sniffed as Sam wiped his tears.
"I heard you're going to be on America's Next Hitmaker. That's wonderful news!" Sam says, smiling at Luke. "It's the best show! This is bigger than Audition! You get to go to cool places and sing at them all! And the finals are always hosted at the most prestigious venue of them all….Madison Square Garden!"
Luke gets excited and smiles. "Amazing!" Luke says, thinking of his future performances and being famous
"So, Luke's heading to America's Next Hitmaker. I really don't need that when I've saved the world." Alem tuber says and walks off.
"Where are you going?" Chrissy asked
"On my next adventure. Later!" Alem tuber says and flew off so fast he becomes a blur.
" I guess I better follow him have fun without me " Angry Luigi sighed
"What about Luke?" Savannah asked.
"I know, I know, we all gotta be there for Luke, but he's my twin. Like it or not, it's my duty." Angry Luigi says, but Bill stops him before he can leave.
"Luke isn't even aware of whether Alem tuber is alive or dead, so it doesn't matter. Luke doesn't want him around." Bill says. "You know Alem tuber doesn't want you tagging along on every adventure. You're better off fulfilling your second promise, and that's making Luke happy."
Angry Luigi grabbed a hammer, mad. "I know that he doesn't, but Alem tuber will get himself in trouble. I need to make sure he's okay!" Angry Luigi says, hissing.
"You need to let him go now." Savannah says. "You have to fulfill the second promise you made. At this point, you need to focus on that. Alem tuber will be fine. You can't always go along with him. He can take care of himself."
"You guys just want to get rid of him, don't you?" Angry Luigi says as Bill looks away.
"No." He lied. "Okay, fine, we want to get rid of him." Bill says.
"Sigh." Lucy sighed while writing a poem.
Luke is now in his room at this point, crying about this being his worst birthday ever. Charity starts to feel bad for Luke. She then notices the cake Lisa had brought to the kitchen earlier.
"What is this, Lisa?" Charity asked, looking at the cake.
"A cake that was transported here. I don't know whether my friend Bill sent it or if it's poisoned. But it is for Luke." Lisa explained.
"It's fine." Lucy says as she soon sat on a stool next to the kitchen counter.
"It's almost dinner time, so we can have this with dinner." Charity says before putting the cake away and going up to check on Luke.
"Todd, protect that cake." Lisa says. Todd does as he's told.
Luke was doing his daily sobbing fit.
"Hey, sweetie….how are you feeling?" Charity says as she enters Luke's room.
Luke sobbed. "Sad…"
"Do you feel like eating dinner tonight, honey cake?" Charity asks Luke.
"Fine…" Luke says. "What are we having?"
"One of your favorites, hamburgers and homemade French fries." Charity says.
Luke smiles a bit.
"Okay, I guess I can eat some dinner." Luke says and follows Charity downstairs.
As he eats dinner, Luke notices the cake in the middle of the dining room table.
"What's that?" Luke asked, pointing at the cake.
"It's your birthday cake." Lisa says.
Luke is stunned by this as he looks at the cake. The cake is a chocolate cake with white frosting and Luke's name on it in colorful mini M&M's. 12 blue candles surround Luke's name, unlit. Luke is in awe of the cake.
"I absolutely love the cake. But will I get another day about me?" Luke asked as Charity lit the candles on the cake.
"Tomorrow you will, my treasured son." Charity says with a smile. "Go on. Make a wish and blow out the candles, my sweet boy."
Luke stands up and thinks of a wish. He wishes that he could have one good birthday before blowing out the candles and cutting a big slice of the cake for himself.
