Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was currently in his bed trying to get some sleep. After everything he had gone through recently (meeting Toothless, having a fight with his father, nearly dying in an inferno, and losing his lower left leg), sleep was very difficult.

He had tried many different ways to fall into a deep, peaceful slumber and weirdly, the most effective solution had to do with what he wore to bed. For Hiccup, he alternated between his whole outfit (minus his footwear), a nightshirt, or went full nude when it came to going to sleep. Of the three, he found sleeping nude was the most beneficial, even if it was the most embarrassing. But unfortunately, it wasn't working like it used to and Hiccup was struggling to fall asleep.

After a while, Hiccup just gave up on sleep and got out of bed. He took the covers off him and saw the stump that used to be his foot. He touched it and the realization that he could never walk normally again hit him once again. He didn't know if he could ever get used to it but it wasn't like he had much of a choice.

"Maybe some fresh air will do me some good." said Hiccup before he put on his prosthetic and walked out of his house. Since everyone was asleep at this hour, including his father, Hiccup wasn't too bothered being naked outside. He walked a few feet outside of his house and embraced the nice, cool breeze that hit his body. To Hiccup, one of the best things about being naked alone was that he didn't have to feel so self-conscious and insecure about his body. For the longest time, his small size bothered him because it was so inferior to his father and most Vikings that it was laughable. He hoped he would get a growth spurt at some point, and it may still be on the way, but for now, he was a short and scrawny Viking who just so happened to change the relationship between dragons and Vikings forever.

"Looks like a nice night." Hiccup said to himself as looked at the moon.

Little did he know that his best friend/dragon, Toothless, was also up and he was watching Hiccup from a distance. Hiccup didn't notice anything until he heard a random noise and was spooked when he saw Toothless.

"Bud, you scared me. I didn't even know you were there," said Hiccup.

Hiccup noticed how Toothless was looking at him. He saw that there was curiosity in Toothless' eyes and it was probably because Toothless had never seen him like this before. He had only seen him in clothes up to this point, so seeing him naked must be throwing him off.

"Oh yeah, you've never seen me in my natural form. Well, here it is. I'm just as clothed as you are right now." said Hiccup.

Toothless was walking up to Hiccup and Hiccup knew he had to make some rules clear for Toothless before he did anything.

"Toothless, bud, before you do anything, I need to let you know something. You see this?" Hiccup said before pointing at his groin. "This is a no-touching spot. And this," he said before turning around and pointing at his butt. "Is also a no-touching spot. Okay, bud?"

Toothless then continued to walk up to Hiccup and kept walking until Hiccup fell down on the ground. He put a paw on Hiccup's bare chest, which made Hiccup say, "Toothless, I know you're not touching anything bad but what are you doing?"

Toothless then proceeded to lick Hiccup's face a few times just for his own amusement. And while Toothless was licking Hiccup's face, Hiccup's father, Stoick, came out of the house to try and find Hiccup. And when he found him, he was quite shocked by the visual in front of him.

"Hiccup?" asked Stoick.

Hiccup and Toothless looked at Stoick and at that moment, Hiccup wished he was engulfed by that inferno.

"Dad, it's…it's not what it looks like. I can explain," said Hiccup.

"Then explain," said Stoick.

"Toothless, bud, can you please get off?" Hiccup asked before Toothless took his paw off Hiccup's chest and Hiccup was able to stand up.

"Okay, um, I couldn't sleep so I came out here for fresh air and then I saw Toothless was up too, and then Toothless pushed me down to the ground, starting licking my face and that's when you showed up," said Hiccup.

"Why are you naked, son?" asked Stoick.

"I…I sleep naked sometimes and tonight was one of those times. I know it's weird and stuff, but I find it comfortable in a way." Hiccup said awkwardly.

Stoick sighed before saying, "Hiccup, my boy, I'm not going to shame you for sleeping naked. I've done it myself and it is quite comfortable. But if you're going to be naked, stay in the house. Understand?"

"Yep, I understand. Loud and clear," said Hiccup.

"And I'd rather not see you naked with Toothless. It would put…visions in my head," said Stoick.

"What type of visions?" asked Hiccup.

"Sexual visions," said Stoick.

A shocked and appalled Hiccup said, "WHAT THE…Dad, NO! THAT IS SICK! I would NEVER think of Toothless like that! He's my best friend! UGH! And I already told Toothless where he shouldn't touch me."

"Good. I'm very glad to hear that. Well, I'm going back to bed, and you should go back to sleep soon." said Stoick.

"I will. Goodnight, Dad." said Hiccup.

"Goodnight, son," said Stoick said before he walked away.

Now that his father was gone, Hiccup groaned and looked at Toothless and said, "Thanks for creating that disaster, bud."

Toothless had an apologetic look in his eyes, which made Hiccup say, "I can never stay mad at you for too long, bud."

And soon enough, Hiccup and Toothless went back to sleep and Hiccup was able to have a mostly peaceful slumber.

Hope you enjoyed the story. Boy, the timing of this story couldn't be any better, considering how a live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon was announced and will be coming out in 2025.
