Both are shy and kind of nerds and have big troubles finding a girlfriend. However, fate has big plans for them; let's find out how this works out. AU, with references to the real story.

Effie Trinket has been training for the moment when she is to go to Panem, what was once North America, and gather more information about The Hunger Games to report back to her superiors. What she finds instead might not just help to gain intelligence on the Games, but put an end to them altogether.

A rebellion was sparked during the 95th Hunger Games. Panem almost fell. But the Capitol squashed the rebellion, extinguishing any hope at a new future. Now, President Pitheart is in charge, and he refuses to allow Panem to break. With all his victors on a tight leash, he's about to welcome 24 new tributes to the 110th Hunger Games. There's always more to the game than merely playing by the rules; that's why Career districts win the Hunger Games so often. Even for them, however, nothing is ever guaranteed.

After years of boring twists, the Capitol has had enough of the Gamemakers' attempts to entertain them. They want blood, and that's what they get when the newest twist is announced: for the 117th Games, tributes will be Reaped as pairs of siblings. Luna Brimstone hasn't spoken to her brother in two years, and she longs to see him; at last, it seems her wish could finally come true.

"As a reminder to the rebels that even the strongest among them cannot overcome the power of the Capitol, the male and female tributes will be reaped from their existing pool of victors." Catching Fire from the perspective of the victors across the districts and a reflection on their centrality to the rebellion. There's more to the Hunger Games than Katniss Everdeen.

It is time for the the One-Thousandth Hunger Games, the Fortieth Quarter Quell. One thousand one hundred and fifty two tributes go into the arena, and only one will survive. Slight alternate universe to The Victors' Tales. I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES. IT IS SUZANNE COLLINS CREATION.

A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

Roselyn Larson won her Games five years ago, and her life has since then become a never-ending trial. Forced into the dark underbelly of Capitol society, she doesn't have much to live for. Until, that is, she meets Cato Hadley, the newest Victor who is pleasantly naïve about the horrors of the Capitol. Cato/OC
