Title: You're my dream

Summary: Emma gets caught up in the rain, and Draken comes to her aid.

'Are you by any chance home right now?' Sano Emma asked and bit her lip while looking up at the dark clouds and the seemingly endless rain coming down from them. It certainly didn't look like the type of weather anyone should be out, let alone without an umbrella and with a broken shoe.

The weather was unforgiving without any signs of stopping anytime soon. It was raining since the early hours of the morning, so it seemed reasonable that any sane person would stay indoors if it wasn't a life-or-death situation. That or an impulsive shopping spree to make herself feel better only to end up in an even more disaster. She wasn't planning to spend her Sunday like this, but then her brothers got on her nerves again with their absolute lack of help when it came to the chores so...

Another shiver ran through her body as the adrenaline started to fade away. It was really chilly right now when she wasn't kicking some jerk into the head with a high kick her grandpa and brothers would have been proud of.

'What happened? Are you alright?' asked the unmistakable voice of Draken from the other end of the call and despite the cold, she felt something warm bloom inside her chest. At least he cared enough to ask.

But then again, he always cared. He was Toman's big brother after all. That included her as well.

She sighed shivering some more, 'Yes, b-but my shoe broke, and they took my umbrella.'

'Who?! You…!,' for a moment he rose his voice like he was genuinely upset before he toned it down again as if he realized she wasn't the one to blame and be angry with, 'Where are you right now?'

'Two streets over. By the old movie theater,' she said and turned around as if to check if she didn't just make it all up in her mind, 'Do you think you have any sneakers I could borrow and an umbrella?'

'Wait there, I will be at your side shortly,' he said but to her surprise didn't end the call as she heard him move around and breathe, 'Are you alone right now? They're not around, right?'

She smiled a bit realizing he was planning to keep on the line until he got to her.

At times it was so easy to think I meant more to him too.

'No, I kicked their asses, but the heel on my shoe broke, and only when they ran, I realized one of them snatched my umbrella. I couldn't follow them with a broken shoe, could I now?'

'You shouldn't ever follow them, dummy,' he said like the grump that he was, but it wasn't as mean as he could be to others.

She was about to retort something when he spoke, 'But good job, taking care of them. They messed with the wrong girl.'

Emma smiled and let that praise settle over her and sparked that beautiful and fulfilling warmth inside her chest before Draken got to her. In record time, she might add.

It felt so good to see him. Especially when she didn't know she would. Every time she met him, she couldn't help but stare at his dominant figure and handsome face knowing she was far too obvious, but not really able to do anything about it. Time meant little for her feelings, and Emma knew that no matter how much older and more mature she would get, she would always feel this way about the tall blonde best friend of her brother's.

'Are you alright?' asked Draken as he put the umbrella above them. He didn't even use it until now probably in favor of getting to her faster. It was ridiculous how happy it made her to realize this.

'Yes,' said Emma before she purposely spun around on her one leg so he could see that she really was fine minus the wet clothes, missing umbrella, and broken shoe, 'It's going to take forever to get to the train stop though.'

He shook his head and handed her the umbrella, 'Forget it. The weather is horrible. You can come to wait it out a bit at my place.'

She wondered if the shock appeared across her face due to how quickly his dark eyes averted from hers, and how a bit quieter he added, 'Only if you want to, though.'

Sano Emma would be the biggest lying if she didn't admit she fantasized about such an offer, but even still it surprised her that it would come true.

She wondered if she should ask if he was sure because she knew how big it was for him to take her there, but despite this, she feared he would take it the wrong way or come to his senses and take his offer back, so she said nothing and rather tried to make the first step only for Draken to stop her.

'Come here,' he said turning his back to her and squatting down in a way he usually did for Mikey when he was forced to carry him around because her brother was too sleepy to do it himself.

'Oh, you don't have to-,' that much she forced herself to say already feeling like overheating at the prospect of him carrying her.

'It's fine.'

'I'm heavy,' she couldn't help but say even if she was certain, she couldn't be worse than Mikey despite what the scales said last time they took turns. She refused to believe someone nicknamed Invincible weighed less than her short height or not.

He paused and looked over at her with his dark eyes clearly mocking her even before he grinned and spoke, 'Don't be ridiculous. Come on.'

She bit her lip and finally got onto his back letting out a small sigh of relief, 'You're so warm.'

She felt him flinch or pause for a moment before he stood up with her and started to walk through the terrible rain with Emma holding the umbrella above them.

It was incredibly pathetic in the poor girl's mind just how happy it made her to be able to be this close to him and for him to carry her. Emma knew she must have been a bit crazy, but her heart couldn't be settled as it beat fast yet her whole body felt in bliss. It felt like those rare occasions Draken had to take her on his bike because Mikey wasn't around or took someone else. She would wrap her arms around his middle bringing her nose against the back of his Toman jacket and breath him in. It was so embarrassing, and she prayed no one saw her, but she couldn't help herself. She was crushing on Draken since she was a kid, and the feeling only grew strong and strong with the adding years.

Her free arm sunk toward his chest catching a bit of feel, and she bit her lip before whispering, 'Sorry.'

'It's fine,' he said in a voice that did justice to his usually unbothered nature, but when her eyes looked to the side, she could see the tips of his ears were pinkish.

She gripped the umbrella a bit tighter as it occurred to her that she would like to run her finger through the skin there or maybe press her lips against it to see if they would be warmer than the rest of him.

Her face heated up making it clear anyone who would look would see her blushing since she suddenly did not feel bothered by the rain at all. Perhaps, that was due to how warm Draken's body was.

It felt so beautiful to be carried by him like this even if it was just because of a broken heel on her shoe. If the world was a kinder place, he would carry her around like this because he felt like it, and he would like to keep her close.

Wishful thinking

Once inside his place, Draken allowed her to get down from his back, and she took off her shoes grimacing at the broken heel, 'They were new too.'

He left the umbrella to dry in the hallway, before he glanced over at her, 'Let me see.'

She showed him the shoe in her hand, and he took it to look closer at it, 'I have some glue around. I will fix it for you.'

'Really?' Emma asked hopefully clenching her hands together in excitement over the prospect of still being able to wear her pretty heels, not to mention feeling very thrilled about the idea, that Draken would do something like this for her.

He's so considerate and kind.

It often baffles her how someone could think he was just a scary delinquent when he could be this nice to her and the people he cared about.

'Yeah, give me a second,' he said and dug around the small hallway until he found a piece of old cloth and some glue carefully cleaning her shoe before he would apply it.

It fascinated her to watch him work and daydream that it was something a husband would do for his wife causing the girl's heart to beat even faster in absolute love and adoration.

'There. It should be dry before you leave. Go grab a towel from over there to wipe your hair,' he said as he put her shoe carefully aside and pulled the tie holding his blonde braid together off.

Emma swallowed a bit watching the young man undo his braid with his fingers and snatch another towel to dry it. It was a simple task of course, but for some reason, she couldn't stop staring.

Silly

It just was so enchanting to watch him work on his hair with the raindrops falling down his face and neck. It was impossible to look away. He was so handsome Emma couldn't think straight. It was always like this really. He would show up and do something that many people didn't even notice while she would be a lovesick mess thinking about how amazing he looked and was while doing it.

After a while it must have become obvious, she was staring because those dark eyes moved to hers and caught her. In more ways than one with how intensely they were looking at her.

The thing was she wasn't some crazy naïve little girl. At times, ah, at times, Emma knew surely as the day came after the night that Draken felt the same. It would be impossible to think otherwise. It would be a pure fabrication to think otherwise with the way he looked at her and smiled at her, and the little things here and there he did for her. All her teenage magazines unanimously agreed it meant he liked her back not to mention her own heart told her he did because no one not even the lustful perverts the poor girl occasionally encountered acted or looked at her as intensely as Draken did at times.

So, Emma knew he had feelings for her at those times. However, other times, it was just so hard with him acting almost indifferent toward her, ignoring her presence, remaining silent toward her attempts at flirting, at sparking something between them. She wasn't naïve. She wasn't a pushover or someone with low self-esteem, but it was so hard at times to convince herself he genuinely liked her and didn't just see her as the little sister of his best friend.

Those other times, it was so frustrating, the honey-blonde-haired girl wished to scream like a lunatic out of pure agony over the dilemma.

Now, now, Emma-chan, Draken-san is just like that, but he cares about you a lot. The way he always keeps an eye out where you are. He likes you.

Hina ever the supportive best friend always tried to reason when her frustration got the best of her, but it was still hard.

'Oi! Don't just stand there,' she heard right before the towel that was lying in her hand was snatched away from her and tossed over her head, 'Do you want to catch cold or something?'

A pair of strong hands started to rub her honey-blond hair trying to dry it a bit from the cold and the merciless rainwater.

Emma swallowed as she felt his warmth knowing he was utterly close to her even if she couldn't see him. He was just like that. If he got too close, his warmth and presence consumed everything else for her. She didn't mind it though. She liked those moments especially since he rarely allowed them to happen always keeping her at a bit of a distance, and she was never brave enough to try and forcefully cross it herself. Not brave enough at least.

Her heart speeded up before her mind could properly go over her intention. He was busy with her hair right now. Occasionally throwing in a word about how the weather was shit since the morning and she should have known better than to go shopping which was fair if a little bit annoying since it was the same kind of talk she would expect from a big brother. But then again Ken was just like that at times.

He always does these nice things for me.

Softly pulling her lip between her teeth she rose her arms up and due to the high difference and poor aim since she couldn't see anything she circled them around his middle effectively hugging him a moment later by pressing her head below his chest.

The movement above her head stopped completely, and Emma's heart was beating so loudly that she couldn't hear a damn thing even if she was sure Ken was quiet too.

It was probably weird. It was definitely awkward.

Ken wasn't doing anything, so it was just her hugging him while he just stood there, with his hands still on her head, and she had no idea what his face looked like.

Her own was warm and surely scarlet from both the motion and the humiliation.

She had to let him go. She really did. This was so strange and out of the blue. But he felt so nice and comforting even if he stood there like a statue, she liked the feeling of it.

With a small sigh and gathering the bits of her pride, the girl decided to pull away and leave the gesture without an explanation just like those few occurrences they had so far.

Just as she was above to raise her head, she felt a single palm press firmly against the top of the towel over it, and a loud sigh of some sort of resignation echoed above her.

The sound itself would have been enough to make her blush for some reason, but the words brought nothing but warmth into her chest and happiness into her heart.

'It's okay. I'm not mad. I just want you to be safe.'

They stayed like that for a moment, and her heart filled with more warmth and happiness before he moved his hand toward her shoulder and pulled her away only to proceed to dry her head again. She didn't mind it though. She didn't mind being taken care of by him like this.

She wanted them to always take care of one another.

When he deemed his work satisfying enough, he finally pulled the wet towel off her but turned his back to her before she could properly see his face. She wondered if it felt as warm as her own did.

'Come on, let's find you something dry to wear for a bit.'

Ken's hunt to find some suitable clothes for her was fruitless as literally, everything he owed was too big for her average female frame.

'What about something from the girls?' she asked quietly as he looked more and more grumpy the further he searched through his clothing.

That made him pause, and although Emma didn't think it was that much of a big deal, for some reason, she could tell the blond young man was the opposite of thrilled with her solution to their problem.

Draken wasn't a silent type per se. He wasn't as loud or a chatterbox as her brother Mikey, but he definitely wasn't the quiet one either, but it seemed that whenever it was just the two of them, he kept a lot of his thoughts to himself and only shared a few words.

'No,' he finally said looking a little pissed now before he pulled some shirt and a pair of shorts, 'These will do. They have an elastic band.'

'What's wrong?' she asked as she took the clothes from him recognizing he was upset about something, 'Did I say-'

'No,' he said quickly recognizing her train of thought.

He looked like he calmed down a bit before he replied, 'I just don't want you to have to wear anything they do. Their clothes aren't exactly meant for…girls like you.'

'What does that mean?' she asked although she understood the point was that he didn't want her to wear anything that the working girls wear. She didn't think the girls wore too revealing things all the time, but it was a safe bet they wore them often. She figured they could have Pjs or something like that she could borrow though.

He frowned, but it seemed he wasn't angry at her, just frustrated over something, 'I…I can't explain it…just put this on. Come get me when you're done. I will text Mikey to let him know you're okay.'

She narrowed her eyes as well looking as he left and wondered what happened.

Girls like you. Girls like you. Girls like you.

What? Young high school girls?

That idea left a sour taste in Emma's mouth, but it seemed like the most reasonable assumption. He would always view her as younger than him and Mikey even if the difference was only one year, and the only reason he wasn't in high school anymore was that he was working in his shop. It seemed really unfair, but she tried not to be too childish about it. It would just prove him right.

Still, as she started to undress, she couldn't stay upset about it for too long as she realized she was undressing in Ken's room.

Somehow that made her pause and glance around. She had been here a total of three times before. He didn't want her to come, she knew that much, but Mikey took her anyway.

'Are you insane? What kind of brother are you to take her…here of all places?' he whispered-yelled loud enough for Emma to hear even if she was a bit further talking to the girls.

She felt embarrassed that he might have insulted them, but the women just laughed, 'Ken must really like you if he fights so hard for your innocence.'

It could have been chivalry, but Emma couldn't help but think if it wasn't another proof that he saw her as some high school girl who needed a babysitter.

She started to unbutton her wet blouse as she noticed the pictures on his wall and went to inspect it again. She did so during every one of her visits, and even if she was so thrilled that she was at least on some of the photos, the excitement faded rather quickly as she realized so was anyone else. She wasn't all that special.

Damn it.

She put the shorts on and tied the extra fabric in a knot and then did the same with her shirt. Her debate about keeping her underwear on or off was a short-lived one as she didn't want to come off as desperate. Although, she feared that the ship had sailed a long time ago. Perhaps, they could both ride it off as some immature behavior of a child? She was seventeen now, that has to give her some credit, right? She would be graduating in less than six months after all. Her birthday would come even sooner than that.

'All done,' she announced as she opened the door to the hallway and found him leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

She stepped aside for him to enter. He was so large in every way filling out every space.

Once he got inside, he didn't head straight for his room to find some clothes too. Instead, Draken paused and watched her for a painfully long and short moment before he averted his gaze and cleared his throat, 'S-sorry.'

'It's fine. It's better than nothing,' she said and giggled a bit trying to ease the moment for some reason all the while staring at his face.

It looked flushed now, 'No-Yeah, never mind.'

He quickly walked around toward his closet to find some dry clothes too, and a part of her wickedly hope he was like this because it did something to him to see her wearing his. Even if it was just a plain shirt and shorts. She liked that she was wearing them. They were washed, but if she snatched the collar and hid her face under the fabric, she could imagine it still smelled like his scent that she imprinted into her mind from those ten times she rode with him instead of Mikey.

Then horribly cruel and wonderful disaster stroke as she continued to sniff on his shirt like a bloodhound.

Draken reached behind his back and pulled the shirt that was on him over his head.

Oh Kami, why?!

It was like all the air got sucked out of her. He was so well-built and just…beautiful. She knew this. She was around the Toman for years before Mikey disband them, so she knew to some exact just how to fit Draken was under his clothes, but it was still one thing to see it while he was surrounded by their friends and her brother! and a totally different thing to see it while she was alone in his room wearing nothing but his clothes and her underwear.

This is starting to feel more and more like some romantic hentai manga.

He tossed another shirt over his chest before he glanced at her causing both of them to pause realizing he never asked her to turn around, and she never had the decency to do so herself. It all just happened too fast. Not to mention she was still hiding the lower part of her face under his shirt. Could he guess she was breathing it in to capture his scent?

She might just as well die out of embarrassment right now.

'Could you-'

She didn't let him finish and immediately turned around ready to go wait outside-

'No, it's cold outside! Just wait and stay like that,' he said or maybe ordered her while she tried to get a hold of herself and let the collar of his shirt fall away from her nose.

She took a deep breath and in the next moment, he announced it was alright for her to see him again.

He wore a plain shirt and some sweatpants now, and yet Emma couldn't help but feel flushed about it all.

'Alright, give me your clothes, I will hang them to dry a bit,' he said, and the honey-blond-haired girl did so trying and failing to form a grateful smile without being too obvious.

'Are you hungry?'

Draken didn't have much around, but she made it work with whatever he did and quickly wiped them something out. It got a bit awkward as they heard one of the girls giggling with a customer, but they chose a further room from Draken's so the noises weren't too horrible.

'It's a bit funny,' she admitted after a while and giggled to break the ice, 'If you were the main protagonist your manga genre would be a comedy.'

'That's because you don't hear it all day and night long,' he replied while they sat on the ground near his bed eating the food she made them, 'It gets old real quick. t reminds me I need to ask someone to borrow me a pair of headphones. My old ones are dying on me.'

She chuckled again before she asked, 'Why not buy yourself new ones?'

He shook his head, 'I'm saving up all I can to be able to move out of here.'

This caused her to blink surprised, 'Yeah? Don't you like it here?'

He smiled a bit, and Emma couldn't help but admire the curve of his lips as he did. Usually, if he was really happy he would show her a wide grin, but this smile was one of his softer ones, so she wanted to imprint it into her mind for later as well.

'I like the girls. They raised me and gave me a home. But this isn't the place I want to live forever. I want…I want something decent,' his dark eyes drifted to hers, and she knew she wasn't imagining the softness behind them now, 'Something worthy of a decent life. I want my life to be clean, proper, and approvable. Worthy of…someone better than me.'

Worthy of you

He didn't say it, yet her mind couldn't help but think he wanted to. She couldn't help but think he was thinking just that with the soft look behind his dark eyes. Could it be true?

Her mouth felt dry all of the sudden, and she licked her lips blaming it on the food. Even those his eyes never followed the movement of her tongue as they would in some spicy anime, it was still caused her heartbeat to raise up and her insides to melt.

It all just felt so nice.

Domestic.

Yes, that was the word. It felt domestic. Sitting here, with Draken talking about the future, eating food she cooked for them, sharing his clothes and just looking at one another. It felt so good, nice, and domestic, Emma's whole body warmed up at those ideas.

'You have a decent life,' she found herself saying as if someone else took over her voice box, 'You are a good man who works hard to earn his living and make a better future for himself. You have good friends you care about and who care about you. That's a decent life.'

The look inside his dark eyes remained soft yet something changed.

Emma wasn't certain what, but it did, and suddenly she had the uncontrollable urge to say, You're worthy of me.

Her lips parted. Could it be just wishful thinking? Maybe she wasn't a factor at all? But something told her she was, and she should let him know. This was her chance. Maybe this time he wouldn't brush it off or ignore it or-

The sound of his phone going off started them both enough to almost spill her food over his floor.

'Shit!' cursed Draken loudly as the connection and moment passed and his hand reached for the cursed device.

Right before he answered, Emma saw him grimace in a way she knew it would be her brother calling even before he said it, 'It's Mikey. He must have finally woken up and read the message.'

Emma nodded even if he couldn't see her and listened, 'Hey, finally awake?'

She could hear her brother's voice even if she couldn't make out the words, 'Yeah, she's still here. The storm is too strong.'

Mikey's voice went from casual to that annoyingly obnoxious one he sometimes got when he was being purposely difficult, and based on the angry vein that popped across Draken's forehead, he was especially difficult right now, 'SHUT THE HELL UP! Maybe next time, be a better brother and go with her, dumbass!'

He pulled the phone away from his ear and handed it to her, 'Can you talk to him, please? Before I tell him to go to hell?'

She took the device while he turned partly away from her and started to stuff himself with the food looking mostly angrier than happier about it now.

She sighed and called out to Mikey, 'Hi, can you please tell grandpa I will be home later? The weather is bad, and my clothes are soaked.' She regretted the moment she said it as she could practically picture her brother turning into his teasing self, 'Oh, so your clothes are all soaked? Lucky, that Ken-chin was nearby, huh?'

Emma understood Draken's anger perfectly now. No doubt, he implied the same teasing to him a moment ago, 'Don't be like that. Just tell grandpa, okay?'

There was a sigh from the other end, but it sounded mostly lazy than annoyed, 'Alright, but you know, I could just tell him you're staying with Hina-chan or something.'

She was ready to tell him goodbye, but she paused upon hearing him say something like that, 'Why?'

'Well, so you could finally make a move on Ken-chin, right?'

She felt heat return to her face and quickly sat the place down so she could push her hand over her mouth a bit to muffle the sound. She would have done better if she left the room, but she settled for turning her back to the young man behind her.

Her poor attempt at a whisper was still too loud, 'Why would you say something like that?'

'You're alone in his home right now. Seems like the perfect time for a confession, right?'

'SHUT UP!' she yelled so loud she sensed Draken flinching behind her for a moment.

A lazy yawn could be heard from the other side of the line, 'It's your choice, but you can't argue that it seems like a perfect moment. Isn't this like every scenario from your magazine?'

Her mouth opened, but no words of argument came out. It was, wasn't it? Alone, in his home, dressed in his clothes without a chance to leave or run. It was the perfect scenario to make a confession like the one she read so many times before.

'Got you thinking, didn't I?'

'Just tell grandpa, okay?' she said quickly before she bit her lip, 'We will talk later. Bye.'

'Bye, and Emma? Brave heart. Ken-chin really likes you. Everyone can see that. I think…I think he might be ready for you to say it out loud.'

The other line went dead after that, but she kept the phone pressed to her ear for a moment longer. She wasn't sure if she was ready or not to face Draken yet. What Mikey said made sense. The teenage magazine and romance manga she read all pointed to the same conclusion. But if by some chance it wasn't the case that Draken had feelings for her too, and she was just seeing what she hoped to see, then how could she stay in the same room with him ever again without dying out of humiliation? It just seemed like too much of a risk, right?

'Can I take your plate?' he asked startling her a bit which made her realize he was still there behind her and knew she ended the call a while ago.

'Uh, yes, thank you!' she said quickly and watched as he picked up her almost finished plate and went to wash it in a nearby small sink.

'I can help-'

'That's fine,' he assured her without looking at her but with a genuine looking grin, 'You already did a lot by cooking. I still suck at it.'

She carefully set his phone next to the bed like it was made out of glass. Strangely, she felt clumsy all of the sudden, 'Well, I can help you learn if you're interested,' her heart speeded up again, 'Or I could cook for you. I'm…,' she swallowed a bit, 'not half bad at it, right?'

His hands paused at soaping the plate, 'No, you're not bad at all,' he grinned at her properly now, 'You're an amazing cook.'

'Thanks,' she whispered and closed her eyes fighting against her instinct to stop and change the topic, 'Uh, in that case, I could cook for you tomorrow after school…every day.'

That sounded like a confession. Not a very good one in Emma's mind, but it sounded close to one, right?

His grin fell and her heart sank as he turned back to the task at his hand.

Stupid

She shouldn't have said anything at all. She would have to kick Mikey into the head when she would get home. She should leave right now.

'You shouldn't waste time like that after school, Emma,' he said suddenly surprising her a bit as she was certain he wouldn't say anything at all, 'Don't you want to study hard and graduate with good grades?'

She giggled at that, 'Have you seen my grades? Uh, I might be better than Mikey, but I'm definitely following the same example.'

'Is that a good idea? Don't you have a dream you want to achieve?' he asked finishing up and drying his hand in a small towel. She knew he meant a dream-like his, Mitsuya's, Baji's, or others to open a business of their own, to have a profession or something of the more practical side of life.

Emma watched him carefully waiting before he would look at her again. Once he did, she shook her head, 'I will work as a makeup artist. I already make some money out of it from the girls and teacher's in my school. But it's not…it's not my dream.'

She must have said it in a way that got him thinking because he was quiet for a moment once again looking like there was a whole scenario going on inside his mind before he finally spoke again.

'What is your dream, Emma?' Draken asked in a very low voice that caused the hair on the back of her neck to stand up.

She always adored it when he said her first name out loud like that.

She should have been more nervous than she was, but the moment he asked the girl felt all her troubles and worries fell off her shoulders.

Brave heart, right?

'You.'

'You're my dream, Ken,' she explained watching him continue doing the dishes with his blond hair running down his back and shoulders, out of its usual braid, while wearing casual clothes and looking so domestic, content, and peaceful in a simple moment like this.

It was a moment, an image that Emma couldn't look away from, 'Us eating together the food I made, wearing your clothes while watching you do the dishes and talking together on a day off like this is my dream.' And once she said it out loud, she knew it was true because this was what she wanted. She wanted to be with Draken, yes, but she wanted to be with him like this. Like a family. Ideas of cute dates in café, teashops, or movies were nice, but this moment right here wearing his clothes and with her makeup all wiped away by the rain and towel was the most she felt like her dream came true.

She stopped talking and carried on watching him finish and set the wet plates aside to dry as he did with her shoe, and clothes earlier today.

Once he finally looked back at her, his face was a bit unreadable, but Emma found some more bravery to finally say, 'Ken, I love you,' it was surprising how light those words were when they came out of her mouth when they were true, 'So, please, help me make my dream come true.'

He sighed and after a moment walked back to her kneeling in front of her. His height still made him tower over her, but right now, Emma was more focused on the way his whole face softened, 'I will do anything to make all your dreams come true, Emma.'

Her heart filled even before he finished, 'So you-? Do you feel-?'

'I love you…how could…I not?' he asked looking a bit embarrassed now and trying to look away, but she stopped him by snatching his face with her hands forcing him to look at her shocked.

She was as well that she acted too abruptly, but she was even more shocked that they had just confessed.

Was this real?!

Maybe the guys who tried to rob her kicked her into the head instead and this all was a dream or hallucination.

She must have analyzed the idea for too long because Draken suddenly grunted a rather annoyed, 'Fine, you're almost as impatient as your bratty brother.'

Emma was puzzled why he was bringing Mikey into this before she felt one of his palms settle against her back while the other moved to the back of her head.

When his lips touched hers she was certain this couldn't be a dream or hallucination because the honey-blond-haired girl would never be able to guess the feeling of Draken's lips. They were softer than she would have imagined and a bit chopped, and even if the moment was so brief their taste was something Emma never wanted to forget and would forever keep inside her mind and heart. It was perfect and wonderful just as she always knew it would be because it was her first kiss with Draken.

He must have assumed I wanted to kiss him when I grabbed him, crossed her mind at one point, but everything else faded away in favor of the moment.

When he leaned away, she let his face go smiling with nothing but contentment and happiness blooming inside her chest, 'You love me?'

He looked genuinely embarrassed, but still nodded, 'Yeah, don't get sappy about it, okay?'

'You looove me,' she giggled feeling like she was a carefree child again.

'Oi, don't make fun of me. You love me too, don't you?'

'YES!' she said shamelessly and put her arms around his neck feeling the warm flush settle against her cheeks even now, 'But I was worried you wouldn't, but you doooo. Ken,' she sighed relieved as if a huge weight fell off her shoulders. After all this time and doubts, Draken really loved her. She couldn't believe it, 'You made me so happy right now. I feel like I'm going to burst.'

She saw how his cheeks remained a bit warm before his hands pulled her closer and tugged her head against his chest, 'Alright! Just don't expect too much just yet…I had a plan. I still have a plan, and I can only carry it out in six months.'

Emma moved her hands toward his back to pull him even closer breathing in his scent shamelessly and with nothing but the pure joy that she could. He smelled even better now.

'Six months? You mean after I graduate?' she asked even if it was muffled by his shirt.

Her heart speeded up again at the implication of what that could mean for their future, 'Draken, what plan?'

'Not telling,' he said and pushed her head against his chest some more ruffling her hair in the process, but he didn't use enough force for her to feel pain or for it to be uncomfortable like Emma knew he never would have.

'Ken, tell me?'

'No, wait and find out.'

'But Ken!'

'No, I already failed by confessing so soon to you. I won't fail with the rest,' he said, and she was about to protest some more when she felt something heavy against her head and realized he settled his chin against it, 'Be patient, I promise it is worth it. It's worthy of you.'

His voice sounded so soft and calm, she couldn't help but close her eyes due to its soothing sound.

'I don't need it to be worthy of me. Everything you do is worthy, Draken. I mean it,' she told him with confidence as she knew it was the truth but also did not pressure him further.

Sitting in his arms like this, Emma couldn't feel too upset about his secret. She would wait. Ken was worthy of waiting especially now that Emma knew he was hers. Especially now that she knew he would make sure to make her dream come true.
