Discord server at it again with giving me prank ideas.

Reeve could be many things. The possibilities felt endless to him growing up. Working with Veld, he helped create the occasional gadget for the Turks. It made him feel like a spy from a movie during those times.

His heart ached at the thought of Veld.

No, it wasn't time to think of such things.

He needed to help set things into motion.

"What do you have in there Mr. Tuesti?" A curious employee of his asked from her spot by the coffee machine.

Good, his alibi. And perhaps a cup of coffee.

"Oh this?" He lifted his cardboard box a little higher.

She nodded.

Reeve laughed a moment and said, "I'll tell you for a cup of coffee if you don't mind."

It was nice to see her smile back. "Hmm, I'm not sure. I don't think I need to know what's in the box that badly."

Oh! Cheek! Reeve grinned at that. He remembered a time when Susie was a nervous thing.

"Buuuuut." Susie continued. "I suppose I could give my wonderful boss a cup of coffee. Black?"

"With five cubes of sugar."

Susie tutted. "Well, it's not as bad as last month's fiasco."

The director coughed and tried to keep down a blush. "Yes, well…" he bumbled.

They stood there a moment more as the slightly younger woman got together a cup.

"Soo, what's in the box?"

Shifting the box to his hip, Reeve got a hand free. Reaching out, he met a large take out coffee cup. A sip and he slightly grimaced.

"Yeah, I'm not a big fan of this new blend either." The dark haired woman pipped up.

"Well, at least we know we don't like it now."

"Except for Will and Jill. The twins love the stuff."

He could see it. "More for them then. Anyways, I brought in some prototypes I've been working on at home."

"Prototypes?" Susie tilted her head, her short braid swung with the motion.

"Just a little project I've been working on. I wanted to see how small I could make a speaker."

"Oh? Why?"

"I was curious to see if I could do it. And then what I want to know if I'll be able to put them in other things. Like a fake apple."

"Why a fake apple?"

"Why not?"

She paused. "You know what? That's fair."

"So do these speakers have their own prerecordings?"

Reeve lit up. "Ah! Wonderful question! See, you can have prerecorded sounds and messages in them. It might take a moment to access the requirements to record such a thing. But they can also act as a sort of radio. I'm currently trying to work on a way to access different channels of sorts. I'm also seeing if I can use different ways to change the volume."

"Oh that's neat!"

They talked for a moment longer, both occasionally sipping at their coffee and grimacing after each sip.

They both checked the time and went on their separate ways. Although Reeve had his alibi set, it was still quite pleasant to have a conversation with one of his workers.

He then made his way to his office, and sat his box down. Of course he spent time to work on some papers, but when someone called for him, he took the chance to leave his office.

After Reeve turned a corner, he made Cait drop down from the vents. Really, vents were a cat's best friend.

Gloved hands took as many tiny speakers as possible. His red cape was used as a makeshift bag, holding said speakers.

A glance to the left.

A glance to the right.

Up into the vents he went. Cait then spent most of his time going around and hiding the speakers in various locations. Some in the SOLDIER area. Some near science. Even the main lobby wasn't spared.

It took awhile, but most of the speakers were hidden away.

Of course he would leave some in the box. Reeve was genuinely interested in his little project and he wanted some survivors.

By the time Reeve went back to his office, he had a few other workers with him.

"And so I was thinking-" Reeve made sure he turned his head over to the direction where his box was and stopped.

"Oh. The box was closed when I last left it." He murmured.

He made a show of looking confused, and walked closer.

Blinking rapidly, he spoke, as if shocked, "what in the world happened?"

Noises of concern were made behind him.

"What is it Director Tuesti?" Will asked.

Pursing his lips, Reeve turned to see concern in Will's green eyes. "It seems most of my prototypes have gone missing."

"Prototypes?!" Jill squeaked.

"A personal project of mine, nothing of real importance. But well, I did make multiple of them to see what worked and what didn't."

"What is it if you don't mind me asking?" One of the newest employees, a young lad named Hank, asked.

Suddenly, from within his own department, speakers started up.

It was an older song. One that most nowadays hated with a passion for how catchy it was.

"Speakers." Reeve finally said. "It seems whoever took my speakers didn't bother with turning on the ones in here."

While Reeve was having that conversation, Cait had watched as multiple people in one of the cafeteria's startle real bad. One person nearly flew a foot high! There was even a SOLDIER that almost hit the ceiling!

Many people scrambled around, trying to find the sources of the music. For a moment the man with his magical knack wondered how long it would take to find the speakers that were on their lowest volume.

When talking to Susie, he was quite serious about the problems with finding other channels and volume changes. The fine tuning to different channels and stations was actually quite easy to figure it out after a while.

It was the volume that was giving him the true trouble. He didn't quite figure out how to fix it! So now all of his speakers were stuck to a single volume setting. The loudest ones would probably be the easiest to find. But the softer ones? SOLDIERS were most likely to be the ones to find them.

While Cait was watching the chaos, Reeve was a good man to help search for the hidden speakers. The man had to be careful when it came to searching. He couldn't make it look like he knew exactly where they were. Although he must admit he had forgotten where a few genuinely were.

"Yo!" A familiar red haired Turk suddenly popped up next to Reeve, causing him to startle.

No Reeve was not thinking about having Reno be his next target of pranks.

"Is this yours?" Reno smirked, holding up one of Reeve's speakers.

The man beamed. "Why yes! Where did you find it?"

"Over at one of the lounges." Reno smirked.

Reeve paused for a moment. "How did you know it was mine?" He asked cautiously.

"It has your name written all over it yo."

Reeve frowned. "Am I really that predictable?"

Reno snorted. "You always did come up with weird ass stuff."

He… wasn't quite sure how to react to that.

"Anyways… it seems someone has stolen them for… a prank I suppose."

Reno looked at him with a cool gaze. There was a time where Reeve debated on if he should have Reno join in some of his pranks. But, well, Reeve ended up saying no to himself and that was that.

"I'll tell you what." Reno finally said. "I'll help you get your speakers back. In return I get to have some."

Reeve blinked. "…is that it?"

Reno grinned.

Well, better not to question it. "Please note that these are prototypes. They might not be everything you want them to be." He did warn.

The red head just laughed.

It took a long time to find the speakers. The louder ones had been crushed by agitated SOLDIERS, while the quieter ones had been found a week later.

Reno was given a rundown on how the speakers work, and an explanation that Reeve was on a road block with them and hoped bringing them to work might've helped.

Not even the next day was Reno using those speakers for his own pranks.

Honestly, Reeve could've been anything grown up. Perhaps being an actor was one of them.
