Chapter one:
The past sins
-She returned home to see destroyed walls and blood-soaked ground. Her yard has been wrecked, leaving tracks of blood, gore, and ashes. A telltale indication that fighting transpired lately. People who used to work for her family were found dead at her feet. Despite the want to run, she managed to push her body and fly into the interiors of the flaming building. The alarms beeped, but no one heard them. After a few moments of walking down the dark and ruined hallways, Bulla spotted somebody lying in the rubble of stones and dust. She swallowed hard and moved in that direction. Her body was stiff, and instincts told her to be cautious. It all added to her fright.
The blue-haired girl took a deep breath, then shifted the body to face her. It was a bulky body with purple hair there. It seemed as though a ghostly hand had taken the cord and wrapped it around her neck when the whole event happened.
"Trunks!" having lost all the colors in her face. His throat was so badly slashed that he choked to death. His pupils were blown and his complexion was gaunt. Trunks' body was growing cooler. Her breath caught in her throat as her body jerked and hiccuped. Bulla threw her arms around his torso, dousing her outfit with blood.
"You know he put up a decent fight. Not bad for a half-breed. "A Raspy voice came out of the dark corner of her kitchen. Bulla turned in haste, never letting go of her brother.
"Who are you? " She questioned, wiping the tears off her face quickly. In the process smeared some blood on her cheeks, and it brought out her pale complexion even more. She was always pale.
„ I'm someone Saiyans should've never crossed!" She never sensed a Ki ball coming her way. Both her and Trunks' bodies were sent flying outside. It took her a moment to realize, and she descended to the ground, holding her wrist that took most of the damage. Bulla looked at it. The burn hurt badly but probably won't leave any scarring in the future. She sensed something coming her way, but for her, it was way too fast to defect it the other way. It hit her directly, making her lose her footing and fly a few feet backward.
"You are nothing compared to them." Came the proclamation of her attacker. Bulla used her arms to lift herself to her feet. The attacker allowed her to take a fighting stance as he took one, too.
"I don't know you!" Bulla argued and narrowed her eyes at him and then she charged. Their fists collided with each other. Blasts were exchanged between them and the fight carried on. When she tried to charge again, the pain in her neck stopped her in the tracks. She brought her hand underneath her hair to find a small, needled device. Then crazed laughter was heard.
"Do you like a little spice there?" As soon as her opponent said that, her body became weak and lax. She tried to move, and it seemed like her body did not react to her. The girl watched her opponent closely as he charged another Ki blast headed in her direction.
"No, I can't deflect that." She thought to herself and crossed her arms in front of her face.
"Well done, boy." There was praise for another person that she heard before the Ki was sent toward her. Bulla never realized that her enemy was above her.
Smoke and fire were all she could recall following the blast. Trunks, her elder brother, lying among her surroundings with his neck cut, underneath him a pool of blood. His stare was blank. Bulla attempted to release herself from her extraterrestrial abductor, who had his boot wedged between her shoulder blades. The captor was tall and muscular, with dark blue skin and shoulder-length blackish-gray hair secured in a neat ponytail. He was old and had fine lines and scars on his face. His eyes held nothing but hate and contempt toward her.
Her innate strength was useless, no matter how much she fought. She was pummeled to a pulp. They arrived unexpectedly with medications that rendered them weak. Bulla appeared because she couldn't sense her father's energy.
At first, that seemed normal for her. Vegeta's always done that after training when he wanted some time for himself. Her gut feeling told her that something was off. She never skipped her classes, but this time she had a good reason for that. She excused herself and as soon as she came into the hall, she ran as fast as her legs allowed her to. The closer she got to home, her feeling became stronger.
The thought dawned on her when her enemy spoke again. If she only stayed at school, maybe she would have survived this and helped her family recover. Collect the dragon balls and revive her brother or anyone that was killed.
"See that, princess? Not one of you Saiyan scum deserves to live."
Through blurry vision, Bulla saw another alienated man kick her brother's head so hard that it flew away from the body. It made contact with the walls of her former, now destroyed home. It cracked, producing a sickening sound, and she could do nothing to stop them from vandalizing the body of her family. She screamed, but the boot was pressing down so hard that it came out as a wheeze.
Tears rolled down her cheeks, but they were ignored.
The man above her enjoyed her pained whimpers. "You see, if your father hadn't destroyed my planet, my home, my family, none of this would have happened." The kick was delivered to her rib cage, and it sent her flying upward only for the blue-haired girl to be caught by her throat when she descended.
The calloused fingers pressed hard on her windpipe. Bulla clawed her hand against him, but he wouldn't budge.
"Why? My brother and I never hurt you or anyone for that matter-" She was cut off again. The man let out a low, angry growl while tightening his grip.
" I'm only returning the favor. Your father and his comrades had done the same to me!" The man rubbed his fingers from another hand and almost softly and caringly said,
"If you only knew how much I hated the guts of any Saiyan-" The kick to the stomach made Bulla gasp, as blood poured out of her mouth onto the alien's hand.
"You dirty lot don't deserve a grain of my mercy or any mercy, for that matter!" Another kick was delivered, and another followed soon after. At this point, Bulla thought that her rib cage had cracked at this point and had some severe organ damage. Her breathing was starting to hurt, and it was hard getting air with the man's hand blocking her airway and the pain from kicking.
"No, boss, I don't think she knows the weight of her father's crimes in this galaxy." Another kick and she retched blood on the man and he smirked from ear to ear almost mockingly.
Blue eyes, half-lipped, met cold black ones. She breathed through her mouth, and her nose was congested with dried spit blood. She meekly breathed out as she gave another go at her captor's wrist.
"No, she does not, but she pays for them. Half-breed or not, Saiyans are not innocent." said the blue man.
The shorter of the two cocked his head and scratched his neck feverishly.
" Agreed, boss. They're evil, and the universe should be free from the shit-stained race of theirs'' the man casually said. "Look where the mighty warrior race is now!" The man went on until Bulla asked softly, weakly,
"Why didn't you settle and repopulate somewhere else?" For a few moments, everything was silent until the blue alien dropped his grin and constricted her airway once again.
The girl choked and started to grip the man's wrist.
"Repopulate and live in trepidation, knowing that the monsters live, unpunished and comfortably." Another kick to her stomach. It made her lose all the air she had left in her lungs. Her face started turning from red to light purple. At that moment, she thought it was over. Her irises shrunk and black dots started dancing in front of her eyes and she almost lost consciousness, when all of a sudden she was released from the man's grip.
She made contact with the rough ground with her limp body. Out of instinct, she grabbed her neck and started coughing and wheezing. Bulla's body started trembling from the lack of air and pain.
Blood came out of her mouth.
"Look at her, boss. We should kill her." the other comrade said. The blue foreigner crossed his arms and grinned again.
"No!" came the soft growl, almost overwhelming
He let out a sigh as he watched the girl wheeze.
"I want her to suffer in this galaxy, to face and live in fear of the monsters created by her race." The man loomed over the girl as his boot pressed against Bulla's neck and everything became black.
