After the incident in the mall things seem to finally be normal . However except one . Lucas Sinclair is struggle with issues like racism . Can his friends help him out

( this is a stranger things fan fic . I do not own the characters or the show .this takes place after fighting the giant monster at the mall and everything went back to normal . However Lucas still faces challenges like racism . Can his friends help Lucas over many obstacles that he faces also I ship Lucas and eleven . I like a interesting paring . Don't judge ).

(Warning this will be a darker story of stranger things and not because of the abnormal stuff also heavy themes such as suicide is in this story . Don't like don't read . You have been warned)

Many many years later after a incident happened in Hawkins. A place were the abnormal happens and strange things happened around to those who live there . A place were creatures from out of this world came . All became very quiet after the mall incident . Once the monster was gone the town became very quiet . No one ever spoke of what happened they just moved on with there lives . Acting like nothing ever happened . No one could forget what happened they just simply didn't want to talk about it . Still they carried on with there lives and peace finally happened in that town . The town was never been seen the same but people were hopeful for a better future in this crazy town . Once the incident was completely forgotten they all moved on for a better life included the main cast .

Mike and his own group of friends went there separate ways after what they all went through .

Mike: Mike stayed in town and focused more on himself . Learning not to blame everything on everyone . He maid amends with eleven and started dating max . He wanted to find a job and get out more .

Everyone else stayed as well . Max dating Mike now and everyone else ( except eleven) started a relationship with someone . Some of them went to college and some just had a job right away . It wasn't easy for them to move on from the trauma they all went through but they had each other to get through . They all stayed in contact and maid sure to visit each other once in a while . However only one didn't stay .

Lucas Sinclair didn't stay in the town anymore . He had a lot to impact from what he witness and experience. From break ups , almost losing someone , almost losing friends , and dealing with bad people in general . Lucas was aware he made a lot of mistakes along the way but he never meant to . He just wanted to help as much as he could . He wasn't as smart as will or Dustin . He wasn't powerful like eleven . ( to be fair though she probably didn't want to have it to begin with). Sure he did help with fighting the monster or saved people from certain trouble but when it comes to emotional problems Lucas was at lost . He didn't know what to do in those kinds of situations. Along his journey he had a dislike of bullies and he wanted to protect his friends but he always gets into arguments with them . Lucas never understand how to help someone emotionally . He wanted to find his true self and worth . Wanted to sort out his situations . So he and his family left hawkins . Even though there on better terms deep down he did not like Mike anymore .

Lucas was in his car thinking about everything that happened to him lately . All the times when Mike yelled at him or when max broke up with him . How he missed hanging out with Dustin so much . Through everything Dustin was his closest friend . He just stared out the window with a expressionless look on his face . He didn't felt any emotions . He didn't felt anything really but deep down he knew he had depression and there was no one to help him through his troubles . Everyone forgets about Lucas some times . Like if he wasn't even there in the first place . Why would Any of his friends care about him . They probably just yell at him again for leaving town . The parents who were driving notice Lucas looking very down .

Dad - what's wrong son you look down

Lucas turned his attention back to his parents who looked at him concerned .

Lucas - I'm fine dad .

Mom - honey we know how hard this must be for you to leave your friends

Lucas looked away from his parents and mutter something.

Lucas - (whispering) there not my friends

Luckily for him they didn't heard him say it but he notice there still looking at him .Lucas notice his dad wasn't paying attention to the road and he yelled at him .

Lucas - DAD PAY ATTENTION !!

His father turned around to look what's ahead and he didn't notice a car was coming right in front of them . ( they were on the wrong lane )

Mom - LOOK OUT!!-

(BANG!!)

The cars collided with another and it was a big crash . Lucas was knocked out unconscious and who knows for how long. After many hours Lucas finally looked up and he notice the wreak . It was bad it was very very bad . He unbuckled his seat. He looked around the car to look for his parents . He was screaming at the top of his longs .

Lucas - DAD MOM !!

Lucas was in a panic. His body was shaken in fright and tears formed in his eyes . He didn't know what to do . He hated when he was in these kinds of situations. He hated when he didn't know what to do .

He looked around and he saw broken glass and a bit of blood at the front .

Lucas - (gulp) oh no

Lucas got out of the car as fast as he can . He got out and at the front of the car was his parents . Blood was around there body's and his eyes formed major tears . His parents were gone . First his sister now his parents . Everything goes wrong for him . Why can't anything good happened to him . He laid on there body's and cried out in pain .

Lucas - (sniffle) MOM (sniffle) DAD PLEASE COME BACK TO ME (sniffle) I NEED YOU (sniffle) please .

Lucas laid on there bodies crying out to them . Things could not get anymore worst for him but they did . They very much did .

While Lucas was crying over his parents a person came out of the crashed car . He looked very very angry . Who ever did this to his car was going to pay . He yelled out to Lucas to get his attention.

- HEY YOU !!

Lucas stopped crying and turned around to see there was another person looking at him very angry .

- DID YOU DO THIS TO MY CAR !!!

Lucas - (sniffle) it was a accident I swear I never meant to -

- BUT YOU DID !!!!

- YOU BROKE MY EXPENSIVE CAR .

Lucas was frozen with fear . He didn't know what to do . He wished his friends were hear with him but they weren't . The man had fire in his eyes . He had no sympathy that this boy had lost his family right in front of him instead he only cared about his care .

- IM GONNA TEACH YOU WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO BREAK MY CAR !!!

The man suddenly started to run towards Lucas and as much as Lucas didn't want to leave his parents he had to . To avoid this crazy man's wraith . He got up and ran towards the woods . Lucas ran so fast that he tripped himself and got cuts and bruises on his body . Though he was far away from the man but he did heard the man yell at him from afar .

- GET LOST YOU FREAK DON'T YOU EVER COME BACK . YOU HERE ME GET LOST BOY !!!!

Lucas who was scared ran as far away as possible but he can still hear the man yelling and threatening him from a distance. Lucas was letting out loads of tears in his eyes . He ran very far but he didn't know were he ended up . He was all alone in the woods . Scared and miserable. Nobody wanted him . He remembered the words that people said to him back in town too . A lot not so good ones .

( flash back )

Mike - WHY CANT YOU STAY OUT OF PEOPLES BUSINESS LUCAS . YOU ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE AROUND HERE !!!

Mike - GET LOST LUCAS !!!

Mike - WERE DONE LUCAS!!!

(Reality)

Despite having bad encounters with other people the most conflict Lucas had was with his friend Mike . He had a fight with him after all when they were younger and protecting eleven . Speaking of which he wonder how she's doing lately . He hadn't seen her in a very long time after the mall incident . He hopes she was ok . He didn't bound with her much but they were still friends . Maybe he could see her one day . Nah why would a cool girl like her ever wanted to see Lucas . Lucas remembered a time when he had a crush on eleven . Yes he dated max but they didn't had to many happy moments together and max broke up with him . All because he didn't want to open up to her . Lucas wanted to open up with max he just didn't know how to . Regardless they still broke up but elven still understands what it's like to struggle especially being emotional. Lucas liked that about her .

However Lucas woke up to reality . That dream he sees with her will never happened . After a couple of hours of being in the woods . Lucas's energy felt very low . He suddenly fell to the ground and he cried again . All day he couldn't stop crying he missed his family to much. To Lucas he felt he had lost everything he once had and he lost a purpose to live anymore . Lucas laid on the ground and eventually fell asleep on the ground .

Meanwhile back in Hawkins. Eleven hadn't seen her friends in a long time . After the incident she hanged around with max more often than with the guys . She decided she wanted to visit the guys . She went over to Dustin to go talk to him . Once she got to his house she knocked on his door and Dustin opened the door . He looked very down and maybe a bit grumpy .

Dustin -(sigh) hey eleven .

Eleven - hey Dustin . Are you alright you look upset

Dustin - well yeah my best friend Lucas left town and he ain't coming back

Eleven was shocked to here that . Lucas left town why would he do that . Eleven begin to freak out she was wondering if it was her fault that he left town but Dustin quickly calmed her down .

Dustin - it's not your fault eleven .

Eleven - what happened

Dustin - come inside and I will tell you all about it .

Dustin led elven inside and she notice that Dustin had another guest over . It appeared that will was here too . They must have wanted to hang out sense Lucas left them . Dustin led eleven down the hall and into the kitchen room . Will was sitting at the kitchen table . Dustin sat at the table and so did eleven .

Dustin - you hungry eleven

Eleven - I actually ate on the way but thanks for asking .

Dustin - you will

Will - I'm good Dustin thanks though .

Dustin - well I'm going to eat before we start

Will - start what

Dustin - eleven wants to know why Lucas left town

Will - oh ok

Eleven - what what happened .

Will - you don't know .

Eleven - really what happened how bad was it

Will - it's bad

Dustin - really bad

Eleven felt nervous if they spoke like this . Something must have happened for him to leave town . After dustin ate a snack and the three got comfortable dustin begin .

Dustin - eleven remember the mall incident when he face that monster

Eleven - yeah but what dose that have to do anything

Dustin - well that's were the problems started for Lucas .

Eleven - what kind of problems

Dustin - (gulp) racism

Eleven - racism ??

Dustin and will both nodded there heads as to agree with her . Eleven had heard about racism from max once and it sounded terrible from her description of it . Dustin told eleven what happened exactly.

Dustin - you see we thought things would go better from there and everything will be ok but it turns out it wasn't . That jerk face Mike had to ruin everything

Eleven - (GASP)

Eleven was shocked to hear that Mike was involved in this . She didn't know one of her closest friends was involved in this .

Eleven - really Mike was in on this

Dustin - yes he was

Will - let's just say he and Lucas got into a fight so bad that Mike said some things that were not only mean but kinda offensive to Lucas you know .

Eleven - what did he say

Dustin - we don't know because we were there to hear everything . All we know is that Mike blamed everything on Lucas .

Will - yes . He says that Lucas is the problem to everything . He's the reason why everyone breaks up and friendships spite apart

Dustin - he even said he never wanted to see him again . He even told him to leave town directly in his face . IN HIS FACE !!!

Dustin's blood begin to boil and so did eleven how could mike do such a thing . She knew a long time ago that Mike and Lucas argue and some times fight even but this was out of control .

Dustin - he called Lucas a freak ,A mistake , A monster , and so many other names . We could go all day talking about how many mean things he said to Lucas . The worst thing he had ever said to him was that he will have true love in his life .

Eleven - (gasp) but I thought he was dating max . I thought they made a cute couple together .

Will - they did until max broke up with him for not opening up to her about his feelings for her but I thought he wasn't ready for a relationship because he wanted to know what kind of person he was .

Dustin - plus they argue a LOT . They have very small amounts of happy moments together but not enough .

Eleven - poor Lucas . He must be feeling all alone right now

Dustin - yeah and people being prejudice towards him in this town doesn't help ether .

Suddenly a radio station was being played and the kids all leaned to here what it had say .

Radio - hello my names Nancy here and I'm here to report some news . A boy named by Lucas Sinclair that some people might know and love has been missing for days . Nobody knows were he is but the police are on the case hopefully they can bring the poor boy home safely .

The three kids were terrified at what they just heard . Lucas was missing and they don't know were he is . Dustin as stubborn as he is was not about to lose the closest friend he . He got up and went to the basement in his home and the other two followed him.

Eleven - we're are you going Dustin

Dustin - I'm going to go find my friend .

Will - will help to right eleven ??

Eleven - right he's are closest friend .

Eleven wanted to find him and comfort him so badly . Not only because what he's been through but because he also helped her out when she and Mike had a fallout . He always listened to her and treated her . Eleven scolded that max wouldn't try to understand Lucas's point of view . Lucas wasn't ready yet and he was more akward that Dustin can be . While Dustin try's to talk to people lucas shy's away from everyone . Not wanting to talk to them or bother them . Sense lucas never had a real relationship before maybe eleven could help him out . She had a smirk on her face . Oh she was going to help him out alright . With a smile on her face .

Dustin pulled out two bikes for his friends and they got on and ride away . They didn't care how far away they left town . They will look around the whole world if they have too as long as Lucas comes home . So they set a journey to find Lucas and bring him home .

Lucas was still in the middle of the woods sleeping . He had nothing better to do so might as well get more sleep . He had spent a hole day sleeping on the ground and he didn't even notice that he was starving . He knew it too but why would he care to eat when no one else was gonna care for him and after loosing him family who in the world would care for him now . When you got no one to turned to for help why bother to do anything . Lucas eventually though woke up and got up from the ground and started to walk . His body hurt a bit from tumbling over on rocks and falling on the ground . He limped a little bit before he can properly walk again . Lucas who was extremely upset from the events unfolded yesterday went back to his unfeeling expression . He was depressed again and more sever this time . He wanted to leave town so bad . So he kept on walking hoping no one from this town would find him .

Eleven and the three kids were now in the middle of know we're . They were far away from there town looking for there friend and having no success so far . As much as Dustin and will want to keep searching they had to go home eventually.

Dustin - dang it we got to go home it's late

Will - what about Lucas who will search for him

Eleven - you guys go on I will find him and bring him home

Dustin - you sure we can stay if you l-

Eleven - no I'm good . You guys really need to go see your family . I will search for Lucas my self

Will - alright be carful out there

Dustin - please bring him home . It ain't the same without him

Eleven - I promise

Dustin and will than both turned there bikes around heading home while eleven kept on going . She honestly wanted to get away from this town anyway with all the problems it was facing and still now facing . Why can't this town ever be in peace for once . No drama and no monsters coming after you . She kept on riding her biking very determined to find her friend and secret crush . Eleven kept on going and eventually she found a car crashed . She was horrified at what she saw and she hoped Lucas didn't get killed . Luckily for her he wasn't . After looking at the accident she than kept on going .

Eleven kept on going . She kept riding her bike and going faster and faster . She was very worried for her friend and she didn't know were to look . So she kept on and on . She wouldn't dare to stop riding until she finds her friend . However while she notice there was a trail to follow inside the woods . Foot prints were maid on the ground so she went into the woods . She kept follow the trail but after hours of riding she notice there was blood on the ground . She went even faster worried Lucas might have already done something horrible . She stopped when she heard someone cry. So got off her bike and started walking to who was crying but as she got closer she starts to recognize that voice .

- (sniffle) why dose no one love me . What did I do so wrong (sniffle) all I ever wanted was to help my friends but I guess they didn't need me after all (sniffle).

The voice was coming from behind a tree and when eleven turned are that tree . What she saw made her scream in fright . Her eyes widen and her body tremble a little at the sit . It was Lucas on the ground blood covering his body . Some wood were in his arms and legs . Lucas was suicidal. Lucas turned his head around was shocked to see the person he never thought he would .

Lucas - (GASP) eleven what are you doing here ?

Eleven - coming to find you and good thing I did . Your definitely in a terrible state .

Lucas - (sniffle) I know

Eleven sat down next to Lucas . Eleven used her mind powers to heal up the injuries Lucas had and took the wood out of his arms and legs .

Lucas - thanks I guess

Eleven - why did you leave town everyone's worried about you

Lucas - not everyone . Besides everyone blames me for there problems .

Eleven - why would they

Lucas - don't know but they just do .

Eleven - I heard what happened between you and Mike and I'm sorry about that . I don't know what's been going on with Mike lately but he has no reason to be cruel to you .

Lucas- (chuckles lightly) don't put the entire blame on him . True he did said stuff about me but he's not the only one at fault .

Eleven - what do you mean

Lucas - well max also said stuff to me too . She's a nice girl at heart but can be stubborn at times .

Eleven - what happened between you both . I thought you guys made a great couple together

Lucas - I did too but she says I'm not a good boyfriend all because I didn't tell her I liked her you know . I mean I do like her but I wasn't sure about it . I don't want to be heartless towards her I just wanted to find my purpose the real me .

Eleven - oh . I guess you weren't ready for it weren't you ?

Lucas - no I wasn't but in the end she just broke up with me not even giving me time to explain to her my situation but I should had told her but I didn't and yet I still blame my self for it .

Eleven - why would you blame yourself if it was her fault for not giving you a chance .

Lucas - well I have to take some sort of responsibility for my actions . I may be awkward around people and not talk to people I don't know that still doesn't excuse for what I did.

Eleven - I still think you did nothing wrong

Lucas - well thanks but I still need to hold my self accountable. I had a lot of issues with people in that town eleven . Mike , max , the basketball players , and anybody else .

Eleven - I'm sorry for what happened to you Lucas . You didn't deserve to go through all of this .

Lucas - it's hard to move on when you lose someone so closed to you like my -

Lucas didn't even finished his sentence. He suddenly had a flashback of that horrible day .

(Flashback)

Mom - LOOK OUT !!

( reality)

Lucas burst into tears as the thought came back to him and eleven gave him a big hug . She held him and not letting go of Lucas because he needed somebody to be with him . Suddenly eleven gave him a big kiss on the check and Lucas's face turned red . Eleven giggled at him a bit for how embarrassed he was.

Lucas - did you just -

Eleven - kiss you . Of corse I did Lucas why wouldn't I .

Lucas - well I just think I didn't deserve that how I treated max and everyone el-

Eleven - don't say that Lucas of corse you deserve love . Everyone needs a bit of love in there lives . Why would you think you wouldn't

Lucas - because I'm -

Eleven - oh . you don't need to say it I understand .

Eleven knew what he was going to say before he was going to say . She knew because what he would have said was part of racism .

Eleven - you know max told me what racism was and that's horrible I hope Mike doesn't treat you that way .

Lucas - well maybe not him but the people in hawkins town dose .

Eleven felt awful if everyone treated him like this and she wanted to protect him from racism . so as she thought about it she really wanted to ask him while there alone .

Eleven - hey Lucas . I have a question for you .

Lucas - sure ask away

Eleven - will you be my girlfriend

Lucas looked Stunned and disbelief. After him and max had a fallout he hadn't dated anybody sense but here eleven his closest friend asking him out of all people .

Lucas - aren't you with Mike though ?

Eleven - more like we were . We too had a fallout and that's a very long story to share another day

Lucas - oh .

Eleven - don't worry about it I moved on from it .

Lucas - so you want to date me right ?

Eleven - yes

Lucas - is there any reason for it

Eleven - well your nice and kind person . You always looked out for others. Some times you do make mistakes but so dose everyone else out there and your putting yourself at Risk before others . I think I said enough to totally fall in love with you .

Lucas - well I'm fine with it I just don't want to lose another love one .

Eleven - trust me you won't . You will be Stuck with me Lucas. I won't leave you behind .

Lucas - thanks eleven .

Eleven kissed Lucas again and this time he kissed as well . Eleven than got up while holding his hand .

Eleven - come on let's go home shall we

Lucas got up while holding her hand they both walked together . Lucas didn't feel exactly better right away in fact he still had to over come the traumas of losing his family and over coming racism but he felt a bit better with eleven by his side. Eleven has changed after the mall accident . Instead of being quiet and shy . Eleven begin to talk more often and open up to people more often as well . She also started to help people out with there problems like she was doing with Lucas right now . Eleven knows this will be a long road for Lucas to fully recover from everything he faces but one thing she did know was she and her friends will be with him .

On the way back they were both silent . They hadn't talk for hours and it was awkward for them both . Never had they both thought about dating each other . It was weird for them but they both know they will fall for each other . Eleven is going to help Lucas out . After all he did save her one time . Lucas still look depressed still . He didn't even know what to do . Going back to hawkins is going to be a nightmare for him but on the other hand eleven chased him all this way and she wanted him . Eleven excepted his mistakes and his flaws for who he is . Most of the time people like Mike or max calls out on him for what he did . Never letting him forget them . Makes him feel worst . Lucas was aware that he made mistakes and try's his very best to fix them now however it still doesn't changed the fact that people would hate him for making mistakes . He never forget someone pointed a gun right at him . Jason could have killed him than and there . Instead he got delayed by Lucas and Lucas took him down . Lucas wonder if anybody else would point a gun right at him and just killed him not having a second thought. Lucas hung his head down low not looking at eleven . Eleven notice this and was concerned .

Eleven - hey what's wrong

Lucas notice eleven was talking to him and looked at him sad .

Lucas - oh nothing . Just been thinking

Eleven - thinking about what ?

Lucas - everything .

Lucas looked down again and rubbed the back of his head .

Eleven - your not good at sharing your feelings are you

Lucas - what are you talking about eleven ?

Eleven - I mean your not good at showing your feelings to anybody . That's why your relationship with max isn't good was it ?

Lucas - look max is a great girl and I did like her but -

Eleven - but what ?

Lucas - I wasn't ready for a relationship . I had a lot of struggles within my self . Max didn't take that very well . She thought I didn't like her but I did .

Eleven - why didn't you tell her you like her .

Lucas - I don't know . I wanted to tell her but I never did .

Eleven - I see

Lucas - the truth is eleven . Back than I didn't know how to express my feelings for anybody . Like I didn't know how to express my feelings to max . It was a struggle for me and I didn't know what to do .

Eleven - so you stayed silent .

Lucas - yeah

Eleven - well I had the same problem with Mike except I think he lost interest in me . So I left with max that one summer .

Lucas - I thought you wanted to have a girl bound or something

Eleven - (chuckles) yeah that too but mainly to get myself recovered from the drama with Mike . How did it go with you at that time .

Lucas didn't answer that . He didn't know what to say that . He was sad looking at max leave at that time . Eleven notice what she said and apologized for it .

Eleven - sorry

Lucas - it's ok . It's not your fault and it's not max's fault for leaving me anyway . I totally understand why she did it .

Eleven - how can you except all of this Lucas I don't understand. Your a great kid that makes mistakes like all of us even me .

Lucas - well truth be told eleven were I come from . You make mistakes people gonna hate you . Which in this scenario is me

Eleven - ( GASP)

Lucas looked back down at the ground again missing his parents more than ever again wished they were here to give him good advice like they did before . Eleven held onto Lucas's arm and not letting go . This was harder than she thought but she won't let go of him that easily . As hours have passed they found that car crash she saw a while ago and she wanted to know who crashed there .

Eleven - who crashed there

Lucas - that's my - my -my (sniffle) my parents .

Eleven hit her self in the head . She couldn't believe she forgot about that . She heard that on the radio at Dustin's house . His parents were gone and she had to ask something so personal for him . She held him tighter in her arms not letting go .

Lucas - (sniffle) thanks eleven . I needed that

Eleven - don't mention it

After more hours have gone by . They finally made there way back in hawkins . Eleven was glad there back but Lucas wasn't sure to feel about it . He was glad to see eleven again and looking forward to see dustin again but a lot of people he didn't want to see again . They walked right into town passing by a lot of people . In town we're a lot of teenagers doing stuff , partying , making out or drinking , hawkins was a bad town when it came to doing bad stuff but thats not what bothered Lucas so much . As they walked by a lot of teenagers were staring at Lucas and glaring at him . He kept his eyes on the ground not even looking at them . He even heard a few comments on him through town .

- oh great what is he doing in this town .

- go back were you came from freak you don't belong here

- he looks so ugly who would want to date him . I know I wouldn't .

- he's a traitor to the basketball team .

- you won't last long in this town kid .

While Lucas was walking two teenage boys grabbed Lucas from behind and took him to a small alley . They didn't want to get caught by police . Lucas was fighting to get out of there grip but they had a strong grip on him .

Lucas - HEY LET ME GO !!

- NO !!

- were not going to let you go boy . Your going to pay for what you did to him

Lucas - what do you mean

The two teens pushed Lucas on a wall and once Lucas saw them both he recognized them immediately and panic was on Lucas's face .

- do you recognized us now

Lucas - your Jason's friends right ?

- yep and we heard what you did to him that one night in particular and that infuriated us .

- yeah freak and we're going to teach you a lesson for messing with Jason .

They both punched him in the face and than the stomach . One of them grabbed him and slammed his face on the ground. Than they both grabbed his head and slammed it on concrete . Lucas's body and face was full of blood . He knew they were going to kill him . Than one of them held him up with two arms and the other pulled out a knife . He walked closer to Lucas and held the knife up to Lucas's neck .

- any last words jerk

Lucas didn't say anything . He closed his eyes knowing full well that this was it . He was going to die just like he knew he would if he came back into town . However he notice someone in the background coming up to the teens

- leave him alone

The two teens both turned around to notice . Lucas knew who it was and it was eleven and max was with her . Eleven and max were horrified at what they saw . They both saw Lucas's head and body were full of blood and he had a black eye . These two teens were going to get it now . Eleven used her mind to teach the two jerks a lesson while max grabbed Lucas and walked away . Max looked down at Lucas with worry in her eyes .

Max - are you alright Lucas

Lucas - (cough) never better (cough)

Max - this isn't funny Lucas .

Lucas - (cough) why did you come for (cough) me

Max - because I care about one of my friends . I wasn't going to let them torture you .

Lucas - (cough)(cough) but you were mad at me a lot

Max - Lucas I get upset with you a lot I do but that doesn't mean I hate you .

Lucas - (cough) we broke up though .

Max - (sigh) I know we did but I still care about you even if we're only friends now .

Lucas - well (cough) thanks for the help

Max - your welcome

Eleven ran back to her friends after leaving the two guys hurt. She needed to keep a even closer eye on Lucas after that . Eleven went back to max with worry in her eyes .

Eleven - how's he doing

Max - well besides the blood I think he's fine

Eleven - we need to get him somewhere safe the streets won't be a safe place if teens are going to come after him .

Max - dustin has some medical stuff at the house we can go there

Eleven - good idea

Eleven than called dustin and let him know that they have Lucas with them and there on his way to his house now . Max carried Lucas in her arms and Lucas passed out right in front of them and fell on the concrete . Eleven and max both picked him up and both held him together and making sure they don't drop him .

After a little while they mangine to get to Dustin's house and once they rang the door bell dustin immediately open the door in a hurry and he told them to follow him inside . They laid Lucas on a guest bed and he ran to go get the medical equipment . Dustin came back to clean up the blood and took care of the bruises however not even he or eleven can fix the black eye on his face . They all sat down all waiting for Lucas to wake up and Dustin wanted to know what happened .

Dustin - so do you guys know what happened for Lucas to be like this

Max - I didn't show up until I saw Lucas getting beat what happened Eleven .

Eleven - well I just got back with Lucas -

Max - wait wait wait hold up . What do you mean by getting back with Lucas ?

Eleven - Lucas wanted to leave hawkins so I left and brought him back .

Max - WAIT why did he leave in the first place

Will - he didn't want to stay here anymore . He says he's the problem to everyone's lives .

Dustin - he didn't even tell us goodbye or anything . His family left and that was that .

Max gave out a moan in frustration. Despite being upset with him she did care for him as a friend now . She wanted nothing bad for him to happen and yet here he was . Laying in bed and injured .

Max - (sigh) it's all my fault . If I tried to understand Lucas's struggles instead of being stubborn with him . Maybe he wouldn't do this .

Dustin - don't beat your self up max . You were the reason why he left in the first place .

Max - what do you mean Dustin ?

Dustin - well you see . After the mall incident . Let's just say Lucas and Mike had a bit of a fight .

Will - A big one at that

Max - what did Mike say to him

Will - your the reason of everyone's pain and suffering . You make things worst on everyone and nobody can be happy around you . You say you fix things but you make them worst . Why can't you stay out of peoples business .

Dustin - he finished off by saying we're done . As in there no longer friends .

Max felt like she wanted to punch something out of rage but eleven held her tightly and keeping her from doing something reckless .

Max - (sigh) are you guys still friends with Mike .

Dustin - me . Not really . He insulted my best bud and wanted him to leave . Trust me I was just as mad as you are .

Will - I was disappointed in how Mike acted but I still have hope that he will change for the better in future .

Max - so your still friends with him

Will - yes but I don't see him as often as I used to .

Eleven - can we please forget about The Who's fault it is or the incident with Mike . We need to focus on Lucas right now . We ignored him for a long time before

Max - she's right we need to be here for Lucas .

After waiting for a very very long time for Lucas to wake up . He did eventually woke up . Lucas look very tired but when he looked up he was shocked to see everyone looking at him all concerned .

Lucas - we're am i

Dustin - your in my house bud . Eleven and max brought you here .

Lucas - why am I here

Eleven - to help you recover silly .

Lucas - why do you guys care so much to help me .

Max - we're your friends Lucas . We really do care about you . What part of friends helping friends do you not understand.

Lucas - well I remembered getting heart broken by you , getting into a fight with Mike , and haven't really been see the other guys lately . So I didn't think I had any friends anymore .

Max felt stupid saying what she said now . Of corse he remembered the problems he encounter one or two years ago.

Lucas - I also remembered Jason pointing a gun at me

Everyone - (GASP!!)

Lucas - I wanted to help max out whatever she was going through but Jason found me and he thought I was the problem and could have killed me than and there .

Eleven - well thank goodness he didn't . I mean your still alive and we're glad your ok

Lucas - but that's the thing eleven im not ok .

Max - what do you mean Lucas

Dustin - yeah we all defeated the monster at the mall and you stopped Jason I mean we should be better .

Lucas - (sigh) you see . After the fight with Mike . I grew severely depressed. Some times I left home to grab a drink and drink a lot I did . I passed out sometimes but I didn't care . I stayed in my room all the time and living in a dark room . In public people made fun of what I look like and you know my skin . The two guys you saw max and eleven they were Jason's friends . So now I know people who love Jason wanted me dead now . I left hawkins because I thought life be better without me but than that day happen .

Max - what happened .

Lucas - my (sniffle)(sniffle) parents (sniffle) DIED !!

Eleven knew about that incident but everyone else was horrified at what they heard . They didn't know what to think . There best friends was breaking and he didn't had any help with it .

Lucas - (sniffle) I felt like I lost everything I once had (sniffle) my friends (sniffle) my date (sniffle) and my family . What's to live for when you feel like you lost everything

Lucas was laying on his bed crying his hearts content . He couldn't handle the pressures of life anymore . He used to know what to do but he never once had a grasp on feelings or emotions . He just didn't know how to handle them .

Lucas - (sniffle) I'm so so very sorry max (sniffle) I should have told you how I felt about you (sniffle) but I didn't (sniffle) I wanted to recover from what struggles I was facing before I told you (sniffle) I wanted to be a better man for you (sniffle) but I screwed it up like I always do (sniffle)

Max went up to Lucas and gave him a big hug . Tears flowed through her eyes as everyone else's did as well .

Max - (sniffle) Lucas (sniffle) I'm sorry for my stubbornness with you (sniffle) I should have tried to understand your issues but I didn't (sniffle) but I still love you Lucas and I hope eleven can treat you right (sniffle)

Everyone was having a rough day but hopefully things would look better some day . They all knew they had to look after Lucas and make sure he was ok were ever he goes . Also they need to protect him from whatever threats are coming his way .

Dustin - well I think it's getting late everybody we should go get some sleep .

Eleven - what about Lucas

Max - yeah we can't leave him .

Dustin - he can stay at my house but will have to figure something out with him tomorrow.

Dustin decided to turn off the lights and they all went to sleep . Dustin and will got in some bean bags to sleep near Lucas while max and eleven slept with Lucas . Eleven on his left and max on his right . For the first time ever Lucas felt at peace with himself . There was only one friend left to conceal with and he can only hope that he can forgive him . He doubts it but he can only hope that Mike no longer holds a grudge with him .

The next day . Everyone woke up and went upstairs to eat breakfast . Lucas stayed in bed asleep . He really didn't want to wake up or get up from sleeping but eleven did eventually came to wake him up . He got up than went to see the rest of them . When he got to everyone in kitchen he was so very tired and he went to sleep again on the table.

Eleven - you still tired Lucas

Lucas didn't responded back to her he only kept on sleeping and snoring .

Max - yep he's passed

Will - well he look like he could use more sleep . At least after what happened yesterday that is .

Dustin - what are we gonna do with him though . He has no we're to go

Max - maybe he wants to live with one of us

Will - and Billy giving him a rough time . No chance

Eleven - well I told him I would watch after him I made a promise to him .

Max - eleven I'm curious to know . Do you like Lucas I mean like like him .

Eleven - yes I do

Dustin - good for you two guys

Will - yeah it's about time for someone to date are friend

Will Gave a glare at max and max looked away embarrassed . Dustin stop the two before things escalated.

Dustin - enough . We're not going to play the blame game . All of us in are own way have made mistakes with Lucas in the past but that doesn't mean we can't change and help him out .

Will , max - your right

Lucas woke up and he saw them in a group huddle . Talking privately with one another . This gave him the perfect opportunity to leave them behind and go wherever he wanted to go . He walked very quietly in the hallway and made it to the door but than suddenly by force he was dragged back to were the group was . How could he flew way back or flew In general . He suddenly remembered that eleven had some sort of mind powers and she brought him back . Once Lucas was back by force he was looking at eleven who was staring at him with a serious expression on her face .

Eleven - were do you think your going mister ?

Lucas - I wasn't going anywhere

Eleven - you were going to leave again were you ?

Lucas - no why would I

Lucas saw everyone staring at him with concern on there faces . This was all to much for Lucas to take . He didn't like being stared at so he finally told them the truth .

Lucas - ok fine I was

Eleven - where were you planning to go

Lucas - to find a new town again

Max - why do you still want to leave us again we're your friends Lucas .

Lucas - really . It doesn't feel that way

Max - remembered that time you always came to help me out and told me " friends don't lie never ever . No matter what " .

Lucas did remember saying that to her when she was struggling . However he also remembered that every time they talk to each other max always left him .

Lucas - right . That explains why you left me all the time right . Like I try my hardest to help you out in anyway but no matter what you keep leaving me .

Max - I would never leave you

Lucas - oh really than In lighten me max . Why did you always leave when I try to reach out for you . Why did you leave when I try to talk to you .

Max didn't have anything to say . She just kept being silent and guilt begin to wash over her but she wasn't the only one because Lucas wasn't finished .

Lucas - dustin you used hairspray on my eyes . That burned like crazy !!

Dustin - I don't like surprises ok !!

Lucas - yeah and max over here grabbed my head and shoved my face in water

Max - I was trying to help you out with your burning eyes . Plus you weren't taking your situation to seriously

Lucas . I was I just tried to defuse some tension with humor . Is it so wrong for me to tell jokes .

Lucas - (sigh) I'm sorry everyone I appreciate for what your doing for me and how much you really want to help me but I'm just tired of it all . The monsters , the drama , and -

Eleven - and what ?

Lucas - and living .

Everyone was beyond shocked at the news . Lucas really was feeling suicidal. They honestly didn't know what to do about the situation and they quickly thought about sending him to the hospital for mental help however eleven had a idea on her . She asked to have Lucas alone with her . So everyone else left the two alone so they can talk it out . Lucas slowly begin to panic . His lips were trembling again and his body started shaking rapidly . He knew he wasn't himself . He thought he was becoming a monster . Rejected everyone he knew and loved . Eleven rubbed his back slowly and had her fingers around Lucas's body . Her icy cold touch of her fingers made his body relax a little bit . Lucas tried to speak to eleven but eleven told him to be quiet .

Eleven - shhhh everything is going to be ok Lucas . Think of happy thoughts . Happy thoughts .

Lucas was much calmer now but still he had tears in his eyes . He was extremely emotional now and only eleven knew how to calm him and be his self again . The others were watching from a distance and they couldn't believe there eyes . They were shellshocked that eleven was doing all of this .

Dustin - you know eleven would make a good girlfriend

Max - yeah but also a good therapist

Will - after everything we been through . We could use some sort of therapy are selfs.

Dustin , max - agreed

Lucas and eleven both Continued to talk to each other . The more they do the more Lucas feels more . It seems eleven was the only person he could trust . Well and Dustin top of corse . He had problems with Mike and max . He didn't really hang out with Will much . Hopefully he can get on better terms with max now but knowing her it seems unlikely . After how many times max and Lucas were on again off again . He just wanted that to stop . He didn't care if there no longer friends at this point . He just simply wants things . To end .

Lucas than went to lay on the couch and went to sleep . He clearly needed more rest and he wanted eleven by his side . She of corse was more than willingly to do so . She wanted to be there for him as much as she can for him . With the monsters gone eleven can finally help other people in need like Lucas. Eleven slept with Lucas on the couch . She rapped her whole body on Lucas and there legs were tangled under the blankets . They didn't let go of each other . They needed each other so much especially for Lucas.

Lucas - (yawn) eleven

Eleven - yes what is it Lucas

Lucas - promise me you will never abounded me

Eleven - I won't . I will be with you to the end of time

Lucas - thanks . I needed to hear that from someone . My parents used to say that to me all the time

Eleven - Lucas I'm so sorry that happened to you . It must be so hard to loose family .

Lucas - yeah . I even lost my sister too but not from the car crash though .

Eleven - I know but still this is so much for you

Lucas - (chuckles) not as much as what you had to endure . It's nothing compared to what I'm facing right now .

Eleven - that doesn't mean your not going through pain Lucas .

Lucas - I love you so much eleven . Never had I thought I say it to you but here we are. I love you so much eleven.

Eleven blushed at the compliment from Lucas .

Eleven - thanks and I love you too Lucas . I'm glad your ok now .

Lucas - I'm sorry for giving you a rough time when I first met you . I was just protective of my friends .

Eleven - you wanted to keep them safe Lucas . There's nothing to be sorry for .

Lucas - yeah .

Eleven - forgive me for asking but what's your life like before coming to hawkins . Assuming that was any better than hawkins .

Lucas - in all honesty it really wasn't . Life was rough for me and my family . My parents couldn't get any jobs because of there skin color . Me and my sister didn't have any friends because of are skin color as well .

Eleven - sounds like your old town has issues with racism .

Lucas - indeed they did . However the town never once address the issues of racism and left people like me getting bullied by people who ever I cross paths with .

Eleven - I'm so sorry that you and your family went through all of that . I don't think I had ever met your parents before but I have met your sister and she's really sweet .

Lucas - yeah she is . There's no other sister I want than the one I had .

Eleven - yeah I bet your parents are sweet also

Lucas - you should have seen them . They always know what to tell me when I needed it .

Eleven - I bet they did

Lucas - (sigh) yeah they do

They were both silent for a moment before Lucas spoke up again .

Lucas - it's hard to love yourself when you feel like all you ever do is causing problems

Eleven - what do you mean

Lucas - I mean is . Ever sense I came into this town I felt like a mistake. Mike didn't like me . Max wouldn't let me help her and I don't think she liked me so much when I tried to be friends with her . No matter what I do someone is always mad at me .

Eleven -( gulp)

Lucas - I had so much anger in me . I wanted to give Mike and max a piece of my mind for how they treated me but I didn't because I knew that was wrong . I wanted to punch anybody that dare to mess with me but I also know that was wrong to .

Eleven - I see

Lucas - (sign) sometimes it's hard being nice to people you know.

Eleven - yeah I do . People were afraid of me when they knew about my powers

Lucas - I bet

Eleven - you went through a lot Lucas but we're here to help you now . If you had left hawkins would it have changed anything.

Lucas didn't responded back but deep down he knew that eleven was right . This town was the only nice place he had ever went to . No other town had excepted him but this one .

Lucas - nothing would had change but would anything changed here .

Eleven - honestly no but that doesn't mean we won't try .

Lucas - who's going to help than ?

Dustin - can't leave me out buddy

Will - I don't know you too well but you seem like a great guy so of corse I will help out too .

Lucas was lost for words . He didn't know what to think or to say . These guys wanted to help him out even if he made them upset with him. Lucas couldn't believe his luck . They actually care for him . Lucas was always the head strong one of the group . He wasn't afraid to do what he thought was right . Like taking on Billy or the monster in the mall . He's a very loyal friend to them always helping them out but no one helped him out before . Until now that is .

Max - Lucas your alright

Lucas - yeah . Sorry for making you guys worry about me . I normally don't need help or nobody wants to help me out . I usually am the one to help others out and not the other way around .

Dustin - well buddy . We all need help from time to time .

Will - and friends always stick together to the end .

Max - no matter what

Eleven - we look after each other and protect one another .

Lucas - yeah . I guess so .

Eleven hugged Lucas and gave a big passionate kiss to Lucas . Ever sense she found him in the woods she was head over heals in love with Lucas . Despite the struggles he was a much better person to her than Mike was. Lucas at least apologize to her being mean . Mike never apologizes to anyone. Lucas had definitely won her heart by a mile away . She was glad there going to be a couple now . Eleven always wanted a date as she got older in her life .

Lucas - every time I look into elevens eyes . She gets more and more beautiful by the second .

Eleven blushed at the comment Lucas made towards her . Max was a bit jealous that Lucas was now starting to shower Affections towards eleven but she didn't let that bother her . Maybe she and Lucas could have still been a thing if her stubbornness didn't get in the way of her relationship when Lucas was trying to help her out as best as he could . However that was all over now but nevertheless she was happy for them too .

Eleven - you are a very gorgeous man Lucas .

Lucas - thank you my dear .

So they all hanged out for the rest of day and probably spend the night again as well . Things were finally going the way Lucas wanted them to go .

The next day . Lucas had to do this eventually but now he did it . He finally got enough strength to do what he had to do . He and his friends went to the graveyard to have a funeral for Lucas's family . They all dressed up for the special occasion even though it was only them there . The girls stood there with tears in there eyes while the two boys got the coffin . Once the coffin laid down Lucas did the rest of the work . He put his parents in the coffin , closed the coffin , and with a very sad look on his face buried his parents . May they Rest In Peace .

Lucas than stood up and stared at the grave stood thinking about the good times he had with his family . He missed his family so much and tears formed in his eyes again . Eleven gave Lucas a hug and everyone else did too . Though after a silent moment Lucas decided to speak .

Lucas - my parents were the best I had ever had . I may not get along with them all the time but they give the best advice when I needed it . They helped me fix my relationships in the past . Gave me advice on relationships which help me see things differently in a relationship now . However it wasn't only that but also advice on racism , bully's , loneliness and other things I dealt with . They always took the time for me and so did my sister even though we bicker a lot . Even though we fight I love my sister to death . I couldn't ask for a better sister . I'm going to keep moving on and try my very hardest to make my parents proud of me .

Lucas than put a Rosie on there grave stone and he and his friends left . While he was walking away from the graveyard with his friends . Up in the sky very very high we're three people looking down on them . Lucas's family were looking down on them with smiles and tears in there eyes

Dad - you Already have son you already have .

Mom - show them what it means to be a Sinclair

Sister - I love you brother

They than vanished in into thin air .

EPILOGUE

As days went by . The group decided to get therapy together so they can over come there trauma especially for Lucas . They all hanged out a lot and making sure to keep each other safe . Lucas and eleven were boyfriend and girlfriend and after a couple of years passed . They both eventually got married and started a family . Dustin and will and max were happy for the two . They went to there wedding to watch them get in gaged . Lucas with his beautiful wife and friends . He feels like he can tackle anything but if there's anything he had learned from his experience is that . no matter what happened's family and friends stay together to the very end .

( hey I hope you guys like this story . I tried my hardest to keep this as friendly as possible because I know how racism can be such a sensitive subject . I tired not to say anything that would personally offend anybody . I want to say I'm very very sorry for killing off Lucas's parents they were great parents but I wanted to break Lucas's character down because of the things he went through . Speaking of which no offense to anybody when I say I'm not a fan of max and Lucas's relationship. They always on again and off again . Max would not ever give Lucas a chance to speak his mind off . Which to me max was be very rude and she broke up with Lucas . But that's just my opinion I hope you guys enjoyed this story .)
