- CHAPTER II -

"The Scent Of A Woman"

The caveman's heart stopped as he saw her. She was a Neanderthalian form with wavy, thick hair spilling over her shoulders and down her back, her curves accentuated by the delicate animal hide dress she wore. Her skin was dark and her eyes bold, but with a sparkle of mischief in them as she watched him.

Though they had never met before, something in the young man stirred at the sight of her. He found himself feeling vulnerable and exposed and yet strangely excited. Tentatively he stepped towards her and she watched him with a knowing look that both comforted and unnerved him.

She glided gracefully towards him, and he could see her long legs and arms, strong and powerful. He noticed the way her hips swayed, and suddenly he felt very small. He tried to take his eyes off her but realized he couldn't-she had mesmerized him. He felt like she was opening a door to a new world, and he was hesitant to follow.

Her voice sounded like music as she spoke, though he didn't understand the words. He felt like they were connected in a way that he had never felt before, and he knew that something special was happening between them. He wanted to reach out and touch her, to feel the warmth of her body against his own, but instead he stayed still, simply watching her as she moved.

The young man had never felt this way before-it was like being in a state of awe and wonder, and he knew he would never be the same again. She had opened up an entirely new set of emotions for him, ones that he never knew existed and that changed him forever. From that moment on, he would never take for granted the beauty of the opposite sex.

Then comes a cloudy day. A light rain had been falling all morning, but the sky seemed to be clearing up. The sun shone through the clouds and the trees as they swayed in the wind.

The Neanderthal man wandered further into the forest and suddenly he saw her. She was standing there, her back to him, dancing gracefully and slowly with her arms swaying over her head. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He stood there mesmerized until she finally turned around and looked him in the eye.

She smiled at him, which made his heart beat faster. She motioned for him to join her in her dance. Unsure of what to do, he stepped towards her and did his best to copy her movements. She laughed as he stumbled, but kept dancing with him.

Suddenly, he felt a connection with the ape woman. He felt like the world had shifted around them and that there was something special in the air. When their dance finished he was sure it was fate that brought them together.

The ape woman held out her hand and he accepted, taking a step forward. They continued walking through the forest, talking and laughing under the brightening sky. Soon they reached a clearing, where they stopped and shared stories until the sun began to set.

When darkness fell, the ape woman asked if he would stay with her until morning. He smiled and nodded and they sat down on a mossy rock, staring into each other's eyes until they both dozed off.

In the morning, they parted ways, not knowing what their future held. But the Neanderthal man left with a feeling of hope and anticipation. He knew he would never forget the first time they met, or the moment of union they shared through their dance.
