Acting Anbu Commander Wolf was shocked that Minato Namikaze was going to do this. What is 'this?' Minato planned to leave with two of his triplets to an undisclosed location to train them while leaving one of the triplets here to be at the mercy of Konoha. Minato honestly believed that the poor child would be loved for containing the soul of the 9 tailed fox but logicist would see the child as Konoha's way of venting fustration.
"Minato-sensei, please don't do this," pleaded wolf hoping to get Minato to reconsider.
"Wolf, this is in Konoha's best interest that I teach these two how to control the 9 tails," said Minato.
"They won't obey your wishes, sensei," said Wolf but Minato would not listen.
"I believe in the will of fire, wolf," said Minato but Wolf knew better.
"The Will of Fire does not include thousands of lonely, terrified people who have just lost friends, family members, lovers and more," said Wolf as Dog stood right next to him. Dog couldn't believe what Minato planned to do, it was inconcievable in his eyes.
"I am sorry, wolf," said Minato as Hiruzen Sarutobi walked over with little Naruto in his hands. He looked at the boy, sadly, as Minato told Sarutobi goodbye. Sarutobi let out a sigh before disappearing.
"Did you try talking to him?" asked Hiruzen to his loyal anbu.
"Of course, I did but Minato-sensei wouldn't listen," said Wolf.
"I am sorry, Obito, but I think a mistake had been made," said Hiruzen with a sigh.
"Now in a few weeks, I will reveal Naruto's status to the Clan Heads and my advisores," said Hiruzen to which Wolf looked at him with the same eye that he looked at Minato "but I will swear them to secrecy."
"Now what will be done about the child?" asked Dog.
"Kakashi, I hoped one of you could raise him," said Hiruzen with a smile. This put the acting Anbu Commander into deep thought as this could be the best way of portecting Naruto.
"I am sorry but I am not really good at raising kids," said Kakashi.
"Okay, but what about you, Wolf?" asked Hiruzen with a sad look on his face at Kakashi who felt the disappointment.
"I'll take him," said Obito.
"Okay, I understand, wait what?" asked Hiruzen.
"I'll take him," said Obito to which Hiruzen looked shocked, before his expression became unreadible.
"Okay, where do you plan to raise him, feed him, other accomodations?" asked Hiruzen.
"I will raise him at Anbu Headquarters," said Obito.
"But if you raise him there, what about connection to children his age?" asked Hiruzen.
"I will let him play outside and make friends, I will take care of him and also train him," said Obito.
"Anbu Headquarters is not a normal place to raise a child," said Hiruzen.
"Naruto will never be normal," said Obito.
-Time skip to 4 years after the attack-
"Is this information right?" asked Hiruzen.
"Indeed, someone revealed Naruto's status to the commmonwealth," said Wolf.
"But who?" asked Hiruzen.
"It is believed to be Danzo but we have no proof," said Obito to which Hiruzen sighed.
"I will make a declaration that they do not talk about Naruto's status," said Hiruzen. Obito realised something, he was so busy, Obito forgot that Naruto was outside.
"Lord Third, we have to move," said Obito.
"Why?" asked Hiruzen.
"Naruto is outside," said Obito as Hiruzen and Obito suddenly rushed out with the Anbu following them. Almost every Anbu knew of Naruto's status but Obito had decided to explain it better than Hiruzen.
-Flashback-
"I know many of you think Naruto of as the 9 tails reincarnate but let me put your fears to rest," said Obito as he pulled out the kunai "now what is this?"
"A kunai, sir," said an anbu with an owl mask
"And what is this?" asked Obito pulling out a scroll with a storage scroll.
"A scroll with the storage seal," said another Anbu with a bull mask. Obito then placed the scroll out for all to see. He then placed the kunai in the seal for all to see.
"Indeed and what am I doing now?" asked Obito.
"Placing the kunai into storage seal," said an anbu captain with a cat mask named Zo.
"Indeed, the storage scroll represents Naruto while the kunai represents the 9 tailed fox, Naruto is just the holder of the 9 tails, he is not the 9 tails, nor is he a 'monster' as you say, he is a just a child, if you have any more questions come to me," said Obito.
-End of flashback-
They found a crowd hanging around saying suspicious things which shouldn't be said.
"Kill the demon!" shouted one of the people.
"Yeah!" agreed most of the crowd and said things of a similar affect. The Anbu rushed forward, jumping down finding four people kicking the poor kid. Three are instantly cut down as the Anbu Commander and Hiruzen Sarutobi jumped down.
"Lord Hokage, what are you doing? " asked the last person, "we were just trying to get rid of the demon."
"No, what are you doing, beating an innocent child? for containing the 9-tails, he should be seen as a hero," said Hiruzen.
"This thing killed my family," said The man but before he could kick Naruto anymore the Anbu commander had grabbed him.
"This 'thing' is a child," said Hiruzen as he picked up Naruto and disappeared in a shunshin to the roof.
"Where to?" asked Hiruzen.
"Anbu medical wing," said Obito as they rushed off.
-Some time later-
"We should tell him the truth," said Obito as they were outside the medical wing of Anbu.
"No! he will hate us!" said Sarutobi.
"He might for a short while but if we tell him later, we would completely lose his trust," said Obito convincing the old man.
"Do you think he'll understand?" asked the third hokage recieving a nod as confirmation.
"Fine" said Sarutobi as they walked in to explain things to the blond. Obito ordered the doctor to leave them and sat down next to Naruto.
"Wolfy, why did they hit me?" asked Naruto innocently to which Sarutobi snickered at the nickname.
"You see, Naruto, do you remember the 9 tails fox?" asked Obito to which Naruto nodded, "you see the fox was too powerful to contain so the fourth hokage had no choice but to seal it into 3 children, 2 of them got the chakra but 1 of them got the soul."
"He sealed into me?" asked Naruto as he recieved a solemn nod "so I am a demon."
"No, Naruto you aren't a demon and don't let anyone ever say that to you, you are a hero for containing the beast," said Hiruzen as he gave Naruto a hug.
"But why did the fourth seal into me?" asked Naruto as Hiruzen ended the hug.
"Because you are his son," said Obito to which Naruto gave a gasp in shock as he tried to process this information. Hiruzen gave a glare to Obito for not laying it onto him.
"What happened to the Fourth Hokage?" asked Naruto as Obito answered truthfully.
"The Fourth didn't die due to the 9 tails but rather left Konoha to an undisclosed location with your mother to train your sisters to control their abilities," said Obito in a grim manner.
"So he abandoned me," said Naruto as he processed all the information, he's recieved.
"but you still have me, wolfy and so many others," said Hiruzen to which Naruto let a small smile.
"I am going to become a better shinobi than dad and become Anbu Commander, dattebayo!" proclaimed loudly Naruto.
"Why not Hokage?" asked Hiruzen, as his mother.
"Because of all that paperwork, also wolfy looks cool and I get to laugh at you like big brother doggy," said Naruto.
"laughs at me, eh," said Hiruzen with a frown.
-outside the medical wing-
"traitor," let out Kakashi as the other anbu who had gathered around held in laughter at Team Ro, who most likely. They wanted to know how Naruto took the news and found the outcome quite humorous.
"So Naruto is the son of the Fourth Hokage," said Zo with a thinking expression to which he received a nod.
"Poor kid, to be abandoned like that," said Yugao recieving multiple nods
-Inside the medical wing-
"Naruto, I think it is time to begin your training," said Obito as Naruto looked ready to burst ",also Anbu are supposed to be silent."
