"Zelda Tales: My Ghosts"
We meet our hero at Kokiri Forest, right where a fellow Kokiri was beginning to take name after equipping a sword and shield.
Meet Rofo, a Kokiri Boy who lives his life clearing monsters with his sword. How did he get a sword when the hero of time took the only one?
Answer was; He built it. He started from the bottom with a Deku Spear, made out of a Deku Stick and a Sharp Rock.
From there, he upgraded to a Shield, then a Fairy Bow, blessed by the Fairy of Love, until finally, a Sword, made out of Wood and Steel Bars.
…
Rofo made it far enough to venture out deep into Lost Woods, where he was to soon be deemed as a Skull Kid. But alas, none of that dark magic was effective to him. He was, however, getting ready for the big fight. For Moblins was not an easy obstacle to move through, but he did it anyway with Arrows. Blazing through Evil with Pink Hearts to shatter their helmets and make them disappear. One would think there was nothing to take from a Moblin, right?
Wrong!
Instead, Rofo stole the heavy club, shaved pieces of metal and made a remarkable hammer. All he had to do was apply the Magic Water and started shaving with his Sharp Brick.
Other Kokiri don't see him as one of them anymore, but rather, someone like the hero of time.
What they didn't know was Rofo was still a kid on the inside. Even though he killed so many Monsters, he was bound to have some inner peace. Others call him a Wolfos, he deems himself a Lambos (The opposite of a Wolfos… Get it? Wolf? Lamb?). But even then, maybe collecting and being fascinated with weapons wasn't a way to go, but a way of breathing the fresh air of nature. Other words, a fresh breath of the wild. (PS. Rofo also has a knack for Peppermint Milk.)
Rofo was walking across the ledges of the room when he heard a certain wolf howl.
As he walked across, he looked down, it was his old pal, well, sort of…
You see, the more times he would pass the same gates, the more he would nickname some of the monsters who appear here.
The White Wolfos's name in this arena is Wurst. Why wurst?
It was because when Rofo dropped a stolen line of smoked sausages, the Wolfos began to dig into the sausages rather than the flesh of the young boy.
Coming back one and one again, with Wurst, the boy trained all his days as much as he could with the Wolfos. You may think because a Wolfos would be fed, that it would mean the Wolfos would be more peaceful, right? Unfortunately not the case when it comes to certain Ganon Monsters. A Wolfos is a prime example for that instance.
But this time, Rofo wasn't here to give sausages. Nope. He was out to solve the mystery of the Earth Temple, and nothing more.
Compared to Link, Rofo may not be as wise, strong, or even as quick as the Hero. But Rofo was surely quite passionate about his career as a survivor of the wild.
It was when he began having his first bite of meat, via Fish. That he would enjoy tasting a fresh breath of air that was not from a forest.
Right now, Rofo, based on his intellects, would like to solve the mystery of the 4 mischievous sisters who live in the shadows. He was pretty sure Link had slayed them all with his Master Sword. But then again, when did he not destroy anything and everything, like pots, in existence?
…
…
Rofo went inside and explored much of the place, and found a book based on Poes.
He looked inside, and much to where he found out, it was the right book needed to conjure the Sisters, despite being put in their place by the master sword.
But what Rofo had to conjure was his damaged heart of black, the heart hurt by the so-called light of the forest Kokiri….
It was nothing personal, but this was a battle already lost when it came to the timing needed. Maybe the Hero of Time wouldn't have wasted some time after 7 years…. Maybe Ganondorf should've probably arrived to rule seven years later…
Rofo looked inside the book and whispered a spell. Realizing that he couldn't make any more magic was beyond him, he didn't use any today. But of course, it may be because of the usage of his sharp brick.
But as he looked inside his inventory, he made something that'll get his strength up to the max, and that was his skills to craft a Green Potion. He built it out of mushrooms, green desert limes and Green Chuchu Jelly. Boiled in a cup and chilled with nevermelting ice.
He drank it, feeling magic flow inside of him.
As he went to the post where the four torches burn, he set down the book of Poes and whispered a dark prayer.
He whispered, feeling the poes flow into the room as a whole army of ghosts surrounded the little Kokiri.
It was then when Four Poe Sisters surrounded Rofo. He looked around as he finished his prayer. He succeeded. He wasn't scared or shy. He was rather content. Happy to see the fairies he dreamed of in his dreams since the visions and cries of their playtime in his dreams.
"Well hello dearie." Said the purple one, known as Meg. "Why have you conjured us? We were resting in peace."
Rofo could explain the words, but he couldn't explain due to his muteness.
"So…" said Beth, the blue one, yawning. "Is this the boy we prophesied to take us with him?"
"Perhaps s-so…" The green one, Amy, looked over shyly. "He looks… cute…"
Rofo couldn't help but burst out an open vocal chuckle.
"Alright, what are you waiting for?! Open the deal!" Joelle, the red one, yelled excitedly at the young Kokiri.
"But first…" Proposed Meg. "We must test him and his skills. Is he ready to become one with the darkness? Or not?"
The four ghost ladies took battle positions as they were already not going to toy around with Rofo, for Link battered all four of them real easily.
But even then, going all out fairly, or even cheating for that matter, was going to help the Poe Sisters win anyway. With amazing speed, calculations and plain smarter, helped Rofo's victory.
As the battle finished, the Poe Sisters looked at each other and nodded.
"This is our prophet." They replied.
…
After a dark ritual, Rofo came out of the Temple, not as a Kokiri, but as a Dark Kokiri.
A magical forest child with plentiful magic at his disposal, with tools ready to collect any elemental attack as its main reversal, and awesome blasting magic, basically, Rofo was now an unstoppable Glass Cannon Wizard.
