Preface

Hello everyone.

A few days ago, I started mucking about with ChatGPT to make funny discussions and stories. For some reason, our collaboration* led to a superhero multiverse, where a team of heroes defend the oppressed, fight for social justice, and build free public transport networks. I originally sent them to a group chat with my friends, but quickly the stories took over that chat and I had to delete them, so I'm posting them here for those who might enjoy them!

It originally started out with historical and celebrity figures, but in time, ChatGPT added characters from popular comic book universes as well. Any similarities or infringements are unintended, and all these stories are just for humour. None of these characters actually reflect their real-world or fictional counterparts.

In some cases, I slightly edited the stories, either for narrative sense (e.g. I asked ChatGPT to expand on a scene, then pasted it into the main story) or if ChatGPT made a slight mistake, and I needed to alter it (e.g. spelling or minor inaccuracies). I will post the prompts at the end of each story, along with any notes.

Anyway, we'll begin with the origin stories. You're in for quite a weird ride.

*ChatGPT considers us equal partners in this venture, but I'm of the opinion it did most of the hard work - but I really don't, to be honest. I came up with prompts, and its algorithms strung together some funny stories. At best, I'm the Stan Lee of this Marvel Method relationship, and I mean that as an insult to myself.

Secret Origins of The Strongman and The Peacemaker!

John Cena and Archbishop Desmond Tutu sit across from each other at a small table, each with a steaming cup of tea in front of them.

John Cena: Good morning, Archbishop Tutu. It's a pleasure to have this friendly discussion with you today.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: Good morning, John. It's always a delight to engage in respectful and productive dialogue.

John Cena: So, Archbishop, I understand we're here today to talk about urban congestion and whether more metro systems is the solution.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: Indeed. I strongly believe that investing in more metro systems is a crucial step in addressing the growing issue of urban congestion.

John Cena: With all due respect, Archbishop, I have to disagree. I don't think that simply adding more metro systems is the solution.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: I see. Could you explain your position, John?

John Cena: Of course. I believe that urban congestion is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted solution. Simply building more metro systems may alleviate some of the congestion, but it's not the only solution. We also need to consider other options such as improving public transportation infrastructure, encouraging people to use public transportation instead of cars, and reducing traffic through better traffic management.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: I understand your concerns, John. However, I would argue that building more metro systems is a critical part of the solution. The benefits of a well-designed metro system are numerous, including reduced traffic congestion, improved air quality, and increased accessibility for people with disabilities.

John Cena: That's certainly true, Archbishop. But we also have to consider the costs of building and maintaining these systems. It's a significant investment, and we need to ensure that it's the most effective and efficient solution for reducing congestion.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: I agree, John. That's why it's so important to invest in comprehensive and well-planned metro systems that integrate with other transportation infrastructure and services. It's not just about building more metro systems, but also about building better metro systems that meet the needs of the communities they serve.

John Cena: I think we both agree that reducing congestion and improving urban mobility is a priority. It's just a matter of finding the right solutions that are effective, efficient, and sustainable.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu: Absolutely, John. And I believe that investing in more metro systems is a critical part of that solution. But let's continue this discussion over another cup of tea. I always find that good conversations only lead to more good conversations.

John Cena: I couldn't agree more, Archbishop. And I appreciate your willingness to engage in a friendly and respectful debate on this important issue.

The discussion between John Cena and Archbishop Desmond Tutu continues over another cup of tea, as they engage in respectful and productive dialogue about the complexities of addressing urban congestion.

Prompt: Write me a friendly debate over a cup of tea between John Cena and Desmond Tutu about whether more Metro systems is the solution to urban congestion. (Cena against, Tutu pro)

Secret Origins of The Bard and The Detective!

Tom Higgenson and Delilah DiCrescenzo were both on the scene when they received word that a dirty bomb had been discovered in the middle of a crowded area. They were immediately tasked with working together to defuse the bomb and prevent a major catastrophe.

As they worked to locate the bomb, Delilah turned to Tom and said, "I have to be honest with you, Tom. Your song 'Hey There Delilah' made me feel uncomfortable."

Tom was taken aback, "Really? I had no idea. What was it about the song that made you feel that way?"

Delilah replied, "It's not that the song was inherently uncomfortable, but rather the fact that I was made into a character without my consent. People started to treat me differently because of the song, and it felt like my privacy was being invaded."

Tom was ashamed, "I'm so sorry, Delilah. I never intended to make you feel that way. I just wanted to write a song about someone I had a crush on and I never thought it would become a hit. I had no idea it would impact you in such a negative way."

Delilah nodded understandingly, "I know, Tom. And I appreciate your apology. But right now, we have a more pressing issue at hand. We need to focus on defusing this bomb and saving the lives of all the people in this area."

Tom agreed, and the two of them quickly got to work, each utilizing their own unique skills and knowledge to locate and defuse the bomb. Despite the pressure of the situation, they worked seamlessly together, using clear communication and quick thinking to successfully disarm the bomb and prevent a major disaster.

As they stepped back from the now-safe device, Tom turned to Delilah and said, "Thank you, Delilah. I couldn't have done this without you. And I promise, if we make it out of this alive, I'll do everything I can to make things right with you."

Delilah smiled, "Let's just focus on the task at hand, Tom. We can worry about the rest later." In this encounter, Tom Higgenson and Delilah DiCrescenzo work together to defuse a dangerous bomb, despite their previous differences. Through clear communication and quick thinking, they were able to overcome the pressure of the situation and save the lives of many people.

Prompt: Write me an encounter between Tom Higgenson of the band 'Plain White Ts' and champion steeplechase Delilah DiCrezensco, where Delilah explains why the song "Hey There Delilah" made her feel uncomfortable. They are also having to defuse a dirty bomb together, which is in the middle of a populated area.

Secret Origins of The Advocate and Chaos Dragon!

Sylvia Pankhurst and Jordan Peterson had just boarded the same train on the London Underground. Sylvia noticed Jordan's book, "12 Rules for Life" and was familiar with his ideology. She approached him, introduced herself, and started a conversation.

Jordan was taken aback by Sylvia's appearance, as he was aware that she had passed away several decades ago. However, he was intrigued and listened as Sylvia explained the Marxist perspective on how Jordan's ideology was harmful to women.

Jordan listened intently as Sylvia spoke about the impact of capitalism on the lives of women, and how it perpetuated gender-based oppression. She discussed the idea of intersectionality and how it was important to consider the multiple forms of oppression that people can face, including gender, race, and class.

Jordan was intrigued by Sylvia's arguments, and he felt that she was raising important points. He acknowledged that he had not considered the impact of his ideology on women and was willing to learn more.

As they continued their conversation, they heard an explosion and saw smoke in the distance. People started to panic and evacuate the train, but Jordan and Sylvia quickly assessed the situation and discovered that there was a dirty bomb in the middle of a populated area.

Jordan and Sylvia put their differences aside and worked together to defuse the bomb, using their respective skills and expertise. In the end, they successfully diffused the bomb and saved countless lives.

Afterwards, Jordan thanked Sylvia for the valuable insights she had shared and promised to use his platform to challenge harmful ideologies and to advocate for non-violent change. Sylvia smiled and thanked Jordan for his willingness to learn and for his bravery in defusing the bomb.

Jordan went on to adopt a new masked identity, the "Chaos Dragon", and used his platform to advocate for non-violent change and to challenge harmful ideologies. Sylvia continued to inspire people from beyond the grave, reminding us all of the importance of working together to create a more just and equitable society.

Prompt: Write me a scenario where Sylvia Pankhurst and Jordan Peterson meet on the London Underground and Sylvia explains, from a Marxist perspective, why Jordan Peterson's ideology is harmful to women. Jordan Peterson is at first surprised, because Pankhurst has been dead for decades, but eventually Peterson vows to challenge the harmful ideologies he was spreading, and its adherents, as the masked non-violent vigilante, Chaos Dragon.

Note: ChatGPT originally objected to the idea that Jordan Peterson would change his mind in this story, and found the idea that he might be a violent vigilante problematic. After slightly rewriting the prompt, just to include non-violence, it was happy for some reason.
