To answer the guest reviewer, yes it will be HEA. :)

Elliot

Today is my first date with Sugar and it feels like it's been a long time coming. I told her to wear jeans and tennis shoes because I'm going to surprise her with a ride on my motorcycle. I left that little detail out because I knew that my brother would throw a hissy fit about putting her on the back of my bike. Like I'd ever put her in danger.

I pull into her driveway for our day date and she comes hurrying out, looking beautiful in a black flowy tank top and jeans. Her hair is down in waves and the wind blows it around a little when she makes her way to me with a brilliant smile plastered on her face. Gorgeous. I yank my helmet off of my head so I can greet her properly.

"Please tell me we're taking that!" She's practically bouncing on her feet. Her eyes are wide and bright and it makes me hard. She doesn't fucking know how much she affects me.

I give her a smile. "I figured you'd enjoy it."

She nods, biting her lip. "I'm so excited. I'm also surprised to see an Indian. I figured you were a sport bike kind of guy."

"I have a couple of those too, but my first bike was an Indian, so it's a love thing. Plus the cruiser has more room. We'll both fit comfortably on this. My legs will thank me later." I reach up and brush away a piece of hair that gets stuck on her lip gloss. "I got you something. It isn't flowers, but it'll keep you safe."

She looks confused. "You didn't need to get me anything, Elliot."

I climb off my bike and open the compartment, pulling out a new leather jacket for her. Shaking it out, I hold it open for her. "Try it out, Sugar."

"Elliot!" She gives me the bashful grin that sends my body into overdrive. "You didn't have to do that."

I shake the jacket a little. "Arms in. I want to see how it fits." Helping her into it, I zip her up in it while she smiles up at me. Fuck, she looks good in leather.

"So?" She holds her arms out. "How does it look?"

I grin. "Perfect. You look great."

Looking pretty happy with herself, she raises on her toes and looks me over. "We match."

I'm wearing my own leather jacket, jeans, and black boots. I give her a wink before reaching back into the compartment to pull out a second helmet. "Now we really do."

She smiles up at me with her big blue eyes and her lip between her teeth. There's nothing more I want than to yank her to me and kiss her breathless, mussing up her perfectly curled hair and glossed lips. I know I have to tread lightly though. She mentioned boundaries before and I need to respect them. We need to spend a little more time together before I attack her.

"You're so beautiful, Ana." I run my index finger over her soft cheek and enjoy watching it color at my words. "You ready to go, baby?" I plan to take her up the coast to one of my favorite roadside food stops for lunch.

She takes a shuttering breath and her palm presses to her chest.

"You okay?" I like that she's nervous but I don't want her sick.

She gives me a breathy laugh. "You just make my heart go pitter-patter."

"Pitter-patter, huh?" I lean down so I'm eye level and press a quick kiss to her lips, hoping to make it go pitter-patter even more. "Let's get your helmet on now." I lick her lipgloss off my lips, tasting vanilla. If we don't move, I'm going to devour her.

Her jaw that's gone slack snaps shut and she nods. She gathers her hair together and twists it at her scalp so she can get it in the helmet. I hold her hand as she throws her leg over the bike and help her get situated on the back before I have a seat in front of her and turn the key, enjoying listening to it purr to life. I reach back for her hands and place them on my hips so she'll hold on. I want her soft little hands all over my body, but I'll be content with this in the meantime.

When we're out of her neighborhood and pick up a little speed on the main streets, I feel her grip tighten and when we hit the highway, I feel her body relax against me and her arms come around my waist. Fuck. This girl has my heart going pitter-patter. Christian's right. She's dangerous and doesn't even know it.

I take a scenic route up the coast and feel her squeeze me, her helmet against my shoulder. She's so damn sweet. Reaching behind us, I find the small of her back and squeeze her to me, hugging her back. When I release her, my hand finds her thigh and I let it rest there during the straight-a-ways.

I give her knee a little squeeze and let it go when I slow down to pull into the roadside eatery. I cut the engine and slip off so I can help her down. When she hops off and yanks her helmet off, she shakes her hair out. There's a bright smile on her face and her eyes are wide and beautiful, the crystal clear blue of them reminding me of the clear waters from my trip to Panama.

Surprising me, she throws herself against me and squeezes me around my waist for a hug. I wrap my arms around her quickly, enjoying the feel of her against me.

"My cheeks hurt from smiling so long." She giggles as she releases me. "I forgot how much I liked riding."

I love that I put a smile on her face. "Anytime, Sugar. Just let me know." I run a hand through my hair to ease my helmet hair and offer my hand to her. I figure it's an innocent enough touch that she'd be okay with it.

"God, your hands are huge!" She picks up our entwined fingers to look. "You can't even see mine."

I laugh and give her hand a light squeeze. "I won't break you, I promise."

We settle across from each other at a picnic table with our helmets beside us while we wait for our food. I take a minute to look her over. Christian told me a little about her concerns and I'm hoping she'll be comfortable enough with me to bring her concerns to me.

"How's the job hunting going?" I know she's in a hurry to find something soon so she can move out of her childhood home.

She blows out a breath. "It's going. I have an interview with a local publishing house this week and I'm really excited about it. It's only part time, so I might have to find a second job but getting my foot in the door is exciting."

I smile. "Congratulations, Sugar. I'm sure you'll do well."

"Thanks." She smiles at me, but then it drops. "What do you want with me?"

"What?" That's one way to jump into this mess.

"I want to know what to expect. I need to prepare myself. Am I just a play toy... a phase you are going through? Play with me until you fuck me out of your system or-"

"Fuck, Sugar. You aren't a phase. We didn't plan this. When I picked up on the fact that my brother had a thing for you, I-" I see the waitress heading over with our food, so I plaster a fake smile and give the girl a nod. "Thank you."

The girl smiles at me. "You're welcome... Elliot, right?" She remembers my name from the order.

I clear my throat. "Yes. That's right."

"Anything else I can get you?" Her smile doesn't falter and neither does her eye contact. I don't even think she realizes that my Sugar is sitting here.

"Not for me." I look at Sugar. "Baby, do you need anything?" I rest my hand over hers on the table and see her relax.

"No. Everything looks great. Thank you." She gives the girl a tight lipped smile to dismiss her. When she leaves, my girl turns her hand and squeezes mine. "Thank you. I was about two seconds from ripping her eyeballs out."

I chuckle and pat her hand before releasing it so we can eat. "No problem. I'm taken, Sugar, and I'm proud to be. I know it must be a terrifying situation for you, but I hope that you can get to know me well enough that those thoughts of being tossed to the side get tossed to the side themselves."

She grins before biting into her chicken wrap. She startles a little suddenly, confusing me for a second until I see her yank her phone out of her pocket. "I'm sorry, I just want to make sure it's not Mia. She had an emotional breakdown earlier today about the catering and I want to make sure-Oh. It's Christian." She turns the screen off and starts to put it back in her pocket, but I stop her.

"It's alright. Answer it." I know he'll get all huffy and worried if she ignores him.

"Are you sure? I honestly don't mind. This is our date. He can wait."

I grin. "I'm sure. I don't want him having a hissy fit over it."

She laughs. "You're probably right. He worries and then gets all broody and growly later." She says, while looking at the text.

"Growly? Is that a word?"

She laughs as she finishes responding to him. "It is to me."

"I think your dictionary is different than mine." I give her a wink, making her bite her lip.

Now my phone rings and when I look at it, I see that it's Christian.

"What's up, C? Trying to crash our date?" I tease him.

"Can you tell me why you found it a good idea to put our girl on the back of your deathtrap?"

I laugh. "Deathtrap? You have one of your own!"

"Yes, but I don't risk anyone else's lives by putting them on the back of it!"

"Relax. I bought her a jacket and a helmet. I went the speed limit. She loves motorcycles. I would never do anything to hurt her." I watch Sugar put her hands to her mouth, her eyes wide in shock, before she removes them and mouths a sorry to me. I just give her a wink to let her know it's okay. I'm used to dealing with my asshole brother. "You know... Sugar is right. You are growly."

"God damn it, El." I can hear the smile in his voice and I grin. He sighs. "She likes bikes, huh?"

"Yep. We've got ourselves a little daredevil. You better step it up, bro. Right now it's Elliot-One, Christian-Zero."

"You can stick to your motorcycle and I'll stick to burying my face between her legs."

"Ouch, man. You hit me where it hurts."

"Good. Now stop talking to me and get back to the stunning woman you're lucky enough to be with." He hangs up and I set my phone down.

"God. I am so sorry. He asked if I was having fun and I told him yes, that the motorcycle ride was a blast. I didn't think-I should have known."

I shake my head. "Don't worry about it. I know how to deal with his assholery."

She laughs. "Now what dictionary did that come from?"

I smile. I love how playful she is. It's easy being with her. "Let's get back to these reservations of yours. I want to know what has your mind reeling."

She chews on a fry, thinking. "Well, I know how Christian feels, but I want to know how you feel about all of this. Is this an all or nothing thing for you? If one of you would walk away, would you be okay with continuing or letting Christian continue to be with me? And... if it stops working for me and I decided I only wanted one of you... how would that turn out?"

I finish chewing my burrito and take a drink from my straw before I answer her. She plays with the paper on her tray, waiting for me to respond. She looks so unsure and it makes my chest ache.

"Him walking away is not going to keep me from staying, that's for damn sure... although, I don't see him walking away. If you just want one of us... that's okay. We'd rather you be happy with one than feel like you have to walk away completely. It isn't all or nothing. Is this why you agreed to today? So you can let me down gracefully?" Fuck, I'm showing my insecurities, but I need to know. It's pretty evident that if she was going to pick, it wouldn't be me. She has spent her time with Christian and enjoys it. I can't imagine her walking away from him.

"Oh, gosh, no. I really like you, Elliot. I want to get to know you more. You already know you make my heart go pitter-patter." She smiles.

I relax and laugh. "Yes, I like that. You make mine do the same."

Her eyebrows raise and she looks delighted by my admission. "Really? I don't think I've ever done that to a boy before."

"Maybe not a boy, but you've certainly done it to men. You're fucking gorgeous. One smile would send any man into overdrive."

She rolls her eyes and bites into her food. She doesn't realize just how beautiful she really is, but hopefully being with the two of us will help her realize. "Tell me what else you're worried about." I bite into my burrito.

Wiping her mouth, her eyes roam the view of the Puget Sound behind me. "You say that you're taken now... so does that mean we're a thing? A real relationship? Or is that too heavy?"

"A relationship is exactly what it is."

Her body visibly relaxes and I'm glad she's feeling more confident about us.

"How is this going to work? With people knowing I mean?"

"How do you want it to work?"

She sighs and looks down at her plate. "I think we should figure this out first between the three of us. I mean, I don't know if you two were ever wanting to come out, but if so, there's a lot we need to figure out that only time will help resolve... and... well, I want to do more research on it."

"Research?" I should have known our girl would have done research.

She nods. "I made the mistake of trying to look up MMF relationships first and Holy moly... I quickly realized that I had meant to research MFM-V relationships."

"You lost me, Sugar."

She bites her lip and she gives me a bashful look. "The M's are for the males and the F for the female. The two M's together means...well, that they're bisexual and like to have sex with each other." The disgusted look on my face makes her laugh. "I then researched polyamory a little more and realized the F in the middle is two men and one woman... and the V at the end signifies us. The two points at the top are you two and the point at the bottom would be me. The two tops don't connect, so it's not a triangle. It's a V."

"Wow. You have done your research."

She smiles. "Yes. It's helped. Now that I've seen that this is more common than I thought, I don't feel so..."

A slow smile forms on my face. "Dirty?"

She flushes and looks down at her plate. "Yes. For lack of better term. If we ever decide to tell anyone, I want to be able to give them facts. To be able to say this is what this is called and this is how it works and it's not as uncommon as you'd think."

I feel so much affection for this sweet woman across from me. She wants to be with both of us and has done what she could to help settle her heart. This shows me that she really is serious about me. Reaching across the table, I cup her cheek and run my thumb over it. "Do you know just how incredible you are?"

Her eyebrows raise. "Oh? I am?"

I nod. "You are."

"Do you think-well-I... can I kiss you?"

My heart jumps in my chest. "Fuck yes."

I push off my side of the picnic table and make my way around to her side. Straddling the bench, I lower myself onto it and she moves to do the same.

I cup her jaw in my hands. "I've waited so long for this."

She bites her lip. "Really?"

I give her a lopsided smirk. "One of these days you'll believe what I say without questioning it. I'm taking your mouth now."

She hums in response as our lips meet. Her lips are soft and plush and I try to keep the kiss slow and light, but when her lips part, I feel starved for her. When she moans and grips my shirt, I'm a goner. I wrap her up and hold her to me and don't pull away until we're oxygen starved and swollen-lipped.

"Jesus, Elliot." She smiles at me, her forehead dropping against mine while she closes her eyes. "That was the best first kiss I think I've ever had."

I feel like a smug bastard. "Can I try for the best second kiss now?"

Her hand runs down my shirt between my open jacket. "You've got some big shoes to fill, Elliot."

I grunt and brush my lips against hers. "Better practice then."

XxXxXx

After our make-out session, we take a walk by the water holding hands and I remain a gentleman. It was hard to keep my hands off of that sweet little body of hers, especially when she slipped her jacket off and the wind was blowing her flowy black tank top around. I want my hands on that soft stomach of hers, but it'll have to wait. I can be patient. I have to be. I refuse to run her off because I can't keep my hands to myself.

We pull up her driveway after the ride home and I walk her to her door.

"Thank you for today. It was great."

I smile. "It was perfect. Does that mean there is a second date in our future?"

She bites that bottom lip of hers and nods. "Oh, yea."

I cup her jaw and peck her lips. "I like that answer. You'll text me about the interview, won't you?"

"Yes. Thank you for remembering."

My eyebrows knit together. "Of course. You're important to me. I want to know how it goes... and when you get the job, I want to take you out and celebrate."

She gives me a sweet smile. "I'd like that."

Leaning in, I kiss her goodnight, knowing her father will be home soon. I don't want to cause any issues between them because he caught us together on a motorcycle, but I could stand here all night.

She hums when I pull away. "I love your lips." She giggles. "Did I just say that out loud?"

I give her a wink and press a chaste kiss to her mouth. "I love yours, too. Have a goodnight, Sugar."

"Text me when you get home. So that I know you got home safely." For some reason that hits me hard in the chest. No woman has ever asked for that before. I love that she cares.

"Only if you'll text me goodnight later." I walk backwards down the walk, grinning.

She blinds me with a bright smile. "I promise."

She stands at the open door while I slip onto the bike and blows me a kiss when I back out of the driveway. This woman is going to be the death of me. This arrangement has got to work. I need more time with her.
