CHAPTER 1

The oak leaves shook, with aggression. Wind blowing harder then a car passing by at high speeds. The ground was dry and the grass was yellow and dying. Ashen'blade took a step towards a large and broken oak tree. It's bark stern yet so fragile. Her orange pelt shined in the early dawn, seeming as if it was purely silk. She sat next to The Old Oak, at least that's what she called it.

It was days since she's seen her old camp. Where her tribe lived in a dried up river bed. TheHiddenClan grew so large since she left searching for where she was born. Her light green eyes sought of anger. She loved her tribe with all of her heart and her pride. How could she stay knowing she was forcefully taken from her true parents, who were solely loners. Ashen'blade had no choice but to find her answers with her adopted parents Cloud'run and Mouse'fang.

The Old Oak was on a small cliff that looked over the HiddenClan. Ashen'blade stumbled gracefully down the trial that led to an entrance of a abandoned beaver damn. She was met by a protector, a fancy word for a warrior. It was Wasp'thorn, a dirty golden tiger pelt Tom who was muscular but no brains. Ashen'blade stood her ground and showed no intimidation. Wasp'thorn jumped down from the ledge on the entrance of the thick beaver damn. "Well look who finally showed their face again." Wasp'thorn smirked mocking the young she-cat. Ashen'blade raised her chin and met his yellow eyes. "I came back, finding the answers I needed. You know full well that Blacken'branch acknowledged my leaving and said I'd be welcomed back." Wasp'thorn flexed and stood blocking the entrance. There was no way around and no way to jump into the dried up river, as it was too steep to jump in from the top. Ashen'blade took one step puffing up her fur making her seem bigger then she was. "I come for no fights, you and I were once protectors together and trained together. I rather not show you why Blacken'branch choose me as second in command." Wasp'thorn bared his fangs, unhooking his large thorn for claws. "Blacken'branch knew of nothing! You obviously left our home, especially when we needed protectors. You knew TheFallenClan would attack, we lost elders that day and you could have saved some, if not have you been a coward!"
