Okay, so I know many people just follow the Canon Next Gen but that is messed up in so many ways. Like, even if you accept Harry & Ginny, a couple that made no sense, Dumbledore's really not that great that Harry should name his second child after him. And Snape bullied Harry all his life just because he was James's son and one act of bravery made that all okay. No, just no. Also, there is like a 13 year age difference between Lupin and Tonks, which is gross. So this is my own version of a next gen.

Things had changed so much since Harry was a child and he finally had what he always wanted, a family. Ava had come into his life when he hadn't been looking for love and blessed it in so many ways. From the moment he asked her to the Yule Ball – the shy girl, hair tied into braids as she wore round glasses to seeing her become the confident woman she was today.

It hadn't always been an easy journey and she hadn't been happy when he had broken up with her at the end of sixth year. He still remembered the conversation as if it had happened yesterday.

"It's not safe for us to be together," Harry said softly as he held Ava in his arms. "Dumbledore…for all his flaws died because of me. So did Kingsley."

Ava frowned at this, lips pursing slightly as she sat up and looked at him seriously. "Are you breaking up with me?"

Harry sighed and shook his head. "I can't lose you, Ava. I just can't. I got so close to losing Sirius last year and Bill got hurt this year by Greyback, fighting at Hogwarts. Voldemort knew Dumbledore was on my side, training me to fight, to defeat him. I can't put you in anymore danger."

Ava went quiet at that and for a moment, she didn't speak, and she nodded. "I understand why. But you're crazy if you think I won't fight just because we're not dating."

Harry smiled at that and kissed her. "I wasn't going to ask you not to fight. I know that's not who you are." She had started off so timid in the first few months, but she had learnt to speak up after awhile and had truly grown from who she had once been.

Now, today, the two of them were married with four kids of their own. Their eldest son was James Sirius Potter, who was 7 years old and like both his grandfathers, he was a prankster and tended to get in trouble often. Remus Cedric Potter was 5 years old and honestly, watching him, Harry was reminded of his own childhood. A little uncertain about who he was and a little shyer. His older daughter Lily Maye Potter was at 4 years, and she was definitely a little rebel and extremely friendly. Ava was convinced she took after her Mom because of how friendly she was with everyone. And then finally, Harry looked down at his 1-year-old daughter in his arms. Mabel Anne Potter.

The couple was still quite close with Remus and Sirius who had a child of their own. Regulus Remus Lupin. They had adopted him after the war although Sirius would always joke that Harry was his eldest.

"Harry!" Sirius's voice interrupted him, and Harry looked up from his daughter. "What are you thinking about?"

Harry chuckled. "Just thinking about everything that's happened. Where's Reg?"

"Moony's bringing him," Sirius said softly, tousling Harry's hair causing him to scowl lightly.

"Sirius, I'm not a kid anymore," Harry said, rolling his eyes and Sirius laughed.

"Nah, you'll always be a kid to me and Moony," Sirius said grinning. "You're Regulus's godfather and technically brother all in one. That still sounds weird though."

Harry rolled his eyes. "We have a lot of confusing relations here, anyway, don't we sweetie?" He kissed his daughter's forehead. He didn't mind though. He had his family, no matter how messed up it was and that was more than enough for him. He didn't need anyone else. He had heaven right here.
