The Capsule Corporation

'A single shot, a single bullet, and everything I worked so hard for is gone.'

"ATOM!"

Atom's body dropped to the floor in the ring, staining the mat with his blood. 'Who would have thought, fighting would take me so far. Ahaha, can you see me dad?'

His opponent, Gordon Fuse was tackled by the referee, tearing the gun from his hands as authorities stormed the building.

'If I had the chance, 1 more time, even a hundred, I would fight again. I wish I could fight some more, feel that thrill.'

Atom's heartbeat stopped before paramedics could arrive. World renowned boxer, fighter, Atom Hull laid dead in the ring he spent most of his life.

"Your wish has been granted."

Age 733 – Planet Cereal

"Ma'am, it's a boy." A light flickered in the room, the sound of electronics buzzing.

"Atom, little Atom." A cerealian mother hugged their newborn tightly, ignoring the carnage outside to the best of her ability. Her husband was already gone, died fighting his own people to protect his new home.

"What are you going to do with him?" The doctor lit up a cigarette and blew out a puff of smoke.

"I'll send him away. He will live a great life, have lots of friends, eat good food, and be away from the life of a warrior."

"How optimistic. I don't owe you anything now Prot, we're equal."

"Thank you. Brother."

"I'm no brother of yours."

The doctor huffed and left the room quickly. Prot slowly stood up, ignoring the loud beeping of the machines around her, and stumbled into the hall. "I'll get you to safety Atom, a distant planet that will keep you safe.

Prot stumbled out of the hospital as smoke plumed from the building she left. Explosions rung out across the landscape while the ground rumbled beneath her feet.

"There should be a ship around here." She whispered, her right eye glowing with crimson power as it searched across the plains. The once green, lush fields were now blackened, scorched, and permanently stained from the scars of invasion.

A large silver sphere slammed into the ground in front of Prot, launching her backwards with a large cloud of dust. A large woman with black hair and a tail ran out of the pod, screaming a battle cry.

"Perfect! Let's get you out of here Atom." Prot ran up to the pod and took the remote that was left inside. "God dammit! Where do I send you to?"

"Outside of the tyrant's jurisdiction, where, where?"

Prot scrolled through the pod's mapping system before clicking on a random habitable planet with a low power level. "I'm sure you'll be safe here Atom, good luck, I love you."

She pressed the launch button as another explosion sounded out. The pod slowly floated into the atmosphere before blasting off into space.

14 hours later

"Alka! Where the hell is your pod?" A commanding Saiyan shouted.

"I-I don't know! I left it right here!" She kicked he body of a random cerealian woman that was laying where she left her pod. "Well we don't have any spares, so I guess you're stuck here."

"What!?"

"Don't worry, you're just a low class anyway."

"Commander Zuki! You can't just leave me here!"

Zuki put up a hand and tapped Alka on the shoulder. "Don't worry, we won't." A large energy blast blew off Alka's arm from his palm before he obliterated her with another blast from his left hand.

"Wrap it up boys, we're getting off this crap shoot." Zuki called out, tapping his feet on the ground impatiently.

All of the invading soldiers on planet Cereal soon blasted off back towards their headquarters, planet Vegeta, under orders of lord Frieza.

3 years later Planet 4032 – 877, Age 736

*CRASH*

A silver pod, containing a small baby boy with dark aquamarine coloured hair, a red right eye, and a small green tail landed in the middle of the largest, most technologically advanced city on Earth. Conveniently, right in front of where Bikini was sunbathing.

"Oh!? Dear! A crazy spaceship just landed in our yard!" The blonde woman yelled.

A stocky man with blue hair and a cat over his shoulder raced out of the house. "A spaceship!? Where?!" He ran straight towards the orb and pulled a crowbar out of… somewhere and pried the thing open.

"A baby?!" The man yelled out, reaching inside, and removing the babe from the seat. "We just had bulma as well…"

"Aww, c'mon dear, it'll make a fine addition to the family!" His wife said over his shoulder. The man sighed and gave the baby to Bikini. "Can you hold it for a second? I need to move this thing into my workshop."

He grabbed out a remote and pressed a few buttons, calling upon a dozen robots to carry the spaceship to his workshop. "We'll keep him, but what will his name be?"

The baby slowly opened its eyes and yawned, startling the duo. "Atom." It said in a croaky voice.

"It can talk?" Bikini squealed, holding the baby up and hugging it tightly while spinning. "Little Atom, you'll fit in just right!"

"I guess that answers that question." The doctor said, prying the baby from his wife's arms and putting it into his own. "I'll need to run some tests, then we can introduce him. Just for safety."

"Of course, I'm going to go and rest again."

Bikini planted a kiss on the doctor's cheek before turning back and walking towards her chair. "Alright Atom, time for some tests. I'm Dr. Briefs."

Briefs stepped into the large building that was his home. A yellow dome of tremendous proportions with a large logo plastered on the front. "I'm the owner and creator of Capsule Corporation, the worlds leading dynocap manufacturer. Pretty nifty huh?"

The baby didn't respond to any of Brief's prodding while he was being tested on. "Your structure is remarkably similar to a human's, but that tail is something we don't have."

The doctor placed the baby on his working table before backing away. "3. 2. 1. Say cheese!" A flash of light engulfed the room as several photos were printed out of a computer nearby.

"Your dental health is fine, physically, your growth seems to be a little stunted but that could be due to the pod. Your vocal cords haven't fully developed, which isn't very surprising of someone of your age." The doctor played with a pen in his fingers before placing it on the table, giving the baby an eye smile from across the room. "Overall, you're pretty healthy!"

Briefs waltzed over and placed the cat on his shoulder on the baby's lap. "This is Scratch, I'm sure you two will get along well." He said, picking up a remote and pressing several buttons.

"You'll get some food soon, so don't worry." He reassured, opening the door for a robot to come through with a bottle of milk and some apple slices.

"Ah, here it is, milk first Atom." The doctor attempted to push the bottle towards the babe, but it flicked the drink away and picked up a piece of apple.

"Oh? That was unexpected."

"Water." The toddler weakly said.

"Sadly, you need this calcium. I'll get you some water in a minute if you finish this."

"Fine."

Briefs handed the bottle back to the baby, who slowly sucked on it, nourishing his dry throat. "Year."

"Hm? Its age 736."

"Year, not age."

"Is that a metric you used on your home planet? Here we use the age system."

"Age? Like Dragon ball?"

"Dragon ball? That doesn't ring a bell, besides that old myth of the wish granting orbs."

'Ah, so that's what happened. I read a novel about this before.' Atom thought, slowly petting the cat in his hands. 'I've been reborn, into the perfect world for fighting. Or is this a dream?'

"We'll take you to your room, and your new sister."

'Sister?'

"Ah, we should get you some clothes first."

Briefs touched a few buttons on his remote again and a robot immediately came through a hatch with a pair of navy cargo shorts and a green shirt. "These should fit." The doctor said, sliding them over Atom's body before picking him up and leaving the room.

Briefs carried Atom through the long halls of the estate, eventually stopping in front of a room with a pink door and wooden letters on the front. "You'll be staying in here, with Bulma."

The doctor slowly opened the door to reveal a small blue haired girl messing around with a chalkboard. "Bulma, this is Atom, your new brother."

Bulma turned to face Dr. Briefs and stood up, straightening her blue sundress out. "I'm Bulma! Nice to meet you!"

"Atom." The boy responded.

"Great, Bulma, you'll be in charge of getting Atom used to things around here. He'll also be staying in here with you."

"What!? We have so many rooms though!"

"As the older sibling, now you have to protect the youngest right?"

Bulma looked a bit sad but nodded none the less. "Good girl, I'll be back in a few hours, have fun." Briefs left the room after placing Atom on the ground.

"Why is your hair weird?" The girl asked, sitting across the room from Atom, on a nice carpet surrounded by her tech.

"Yours is the same, blue is just as weird as green." The boy responded, sitting against the door with his legs crossed.

"What about your eye? And your… tail?"

"I'm a bit special."

"Special huh? Well let me show you around!"

Atom stood up and turned around to open the door before his body slumped to the ground, powerless. "What's going on." He ground out, face first in the floor.

Bulma tugged on Atom's tail a little and he grunted in pain. "Does that hurt?" She asked. Atom turned his head around and looked at her hands. "Pulling my tail? Yes."

"Oo, sorry." She let go and it slumped to the ground.

Atom got up and opened the door. "It's nothing, don't worry. Now, are you going to show me around or what?"

"For sure!" Bulma exclaimed, following Atom out of the door and into the hall. "Where do you want to go first?" Bulma asked, rolling on the balls of her feet in place.

"Well, I don't exactly know what's here." Atom responded, standing still while looking at her.

"How about my workshop?"

"Sure."

Bulma skipped across the carpet through the winding halls, stopping near a closed steel door. "818733." She said out loud while entering the digits in a keypad nearby.

"What're you working on?" Atom asked, following Bulma as the steel door buzzed and opened. "Right now, just a couple of things. My dad finally let me do some practical stuff, so I'm working on a car engine now!"

"That is… impressive." Atom responded.

"It's nothing big just yet, but when I succeed the company, there'll be things like this driving all over the world."

Bulma opened the main door after putting in another code, revealing a small yellow sedan with its body stripped away. "Ah, I forgot to clean up." She looked over the dozens of stray parts across the workshop.

"Dad's gonna kill me!" She screeched, racing around the room as fast as she could and picking up different parts. Atom walked up to the stripped vehicle and peered inside the hood.

'Finally, something my auto degree can be used for.' Atom thought, scanning over the engine's details. 'This is similar to the one's from my old world. How did they get these into capsules?'

"Are you wondering how it works?" Bulma called out while attempting to block the remains of her junk in a cupboard.

"Yes. How does it fit into the capsule?" Atom asked. Bulma slowly pulled a latch over the closet and walked over to the car. "It might sound stupid, but patterns. To put it simply, everything stored in the capsules has a unique barcode that expands from energy into matter and then returns into the same pattern."

"So, its mega compression?"

"On the absolute simplest terms, yes."

"Haven't there been duplicate codes?"

"No, not yet. Our codes are around 40 digits long and are controlled by our super computer and engineers. Maybe in a few hundred years there will be, but for now, it's perfectly fine."

"Wow."

"Let's go to the next room, one of my favourites."

"And what would that be?"

"The botany lab!" Bulma exclaimed, dragging Atom through the facility until the duo reached a large garden with dozens of people working. A couple of heads turned with their arrival, but Bulma ignored them as she dragged her new brother over the tiles up to her little corner.

"This is a special request I had made." She pointed at a small tree with ripe strawberries growing from the branches. "The sweetest, tastiest, strawberries on earth!"

"You have… interesting requests." Atom said, picking a fruit from the tree and popping it in his mouth. "But they are quite good."

Bulma laughed and grabbed one herself. "That's for sure! Let's go to the next room then, the gym I guess."

"You don't sound too pleased."

"I don't like the exercise stuff; it makes me all sweaty and disgusting. Plus, I heard it stunts your growth."

"Wow."

"Yep, that's why I don't do it. How can I get a good husband if I'm a muscly mess?"

"I don't think being in shape makes you a muscly mess."

Bulma seemed a bit perturbed, but swung open the door to the gym. "We have all of the state-of-the-art equipment, though it isn't used often." Just as quickly, she closed the door. "Next room is… the kitchen?"

Atom shrugged his shoulders and Bulma sighed. "Of course, you wouldn't know."

Dr. Briefs laboratory

Briefs was standing in the corner of his lab, watching closely as a scanner investigated every detail of the pod in front of him. "Alien technology, I never thought I would see this so soon."

The scanner stopped moving and retreated into the ceiling, a sign it had completed its report. Briefs looked over the computer at his desk and saw the information being compiled.

"It seems to use rather rudimentary materials, but there are some things I don't understand. A projector with an image of the moon? A radio? The computer inside is quite impressive, and the travelling components are uncomfortable at best.

Is that a… suspended animation device? The more I see, the more impressive this little device is." The doctor said in interest, moving closer to the pod and inspecting the inside.

"A remote?" Briefs pried open the machine and picked up a calculator sized device. "Is this for the radio? Or to summon the ship? So many questions, I might have to delay that theme park idea."

Bulma's room

"Well that about finishes the tour, and I'm pretty tired. Are you coming to my kindergarten tomorrow?"

"I am not sure." Atom robotically responded, trying to hold back a yawn.

"Since we don't have the bed in yet, you'll be using a futon for tonight."

"That's fine, where are they?"

"In my wardrobe."

Atom opened a sliding door and picked up a rolled up futon, laying it on the floor while Bulma climbed up to her bunk. "Hey Bulma, don't you find it odd that I'm here all of a sudden?"

"Uh, yes and no. Dad and Mum do weird stuff all the time, so this isn't that far out of the realm of possibility. It's also kind of nice having someone my age around, since Tights left a little while ago. She's my big sister by the way."

"Oh, okay. Night Bulma."

"Goodnight Atom."

The next day

"Bulma, its time to wake up." A robot chanted, opening the door with a plate of hot breakfast for Bulma, who was slowly waking up in her bed.

"Sorry Atom, I haven't written the code for yours yet, but come to the dining room so we can eat." Briefs apologised from the hallway. Atom groggily sat up and nodded his head, stretching his back before stepping out of the room.

'This is too real to be a dream, have I really been reborn?'

Atom took a seat across from Dr. Briefs at the dining room table, robots were skittering around preparing food and plating up. "Atom, I will be conducting a couple of tests on you today, just to see where you are at in terms of knowledge. Then we can see what type of path you want to take."

"Paths?" The toddler responded, staring at the hot plate of food in front of him, a stack of pancakes with maple syrup drizzled on top.

"You seem to be quite articulate already, but I want to know exactly where you are at, then we can decide whether you want to continue education in the public path, or be taught here. Bulma has taken the public route, but she is already far ahead of any other kids."

"Why would she want the public route over private education?"

"Probably the social aspects, but you'll have to ask her. Speaking of which." Briefs pointed his fork at the doorway, where Bulma was strutting around wearing a cyan blue uniform with a navy bucket hat.

A robot passed her a bag full of school supplies and lunch which she smiled at before taking a seat next to me. "Dad, is Atom coming with me?"

"Not today sadly, but maybe soon. Have a good day."

Bikini walked around the table and gave Bulma a kiss on the forehead before the blue haired girl jumped off her seat and walked out of the room.

"Well Atom, lets get those tests done, shall we?" Briefs wiped his mouth clean with a napkin and stood up. "Mm." The boy responded, swallowing his last pancake whole before jumping off of his chair and following Briefs towards his lab.

Dr. Briefs Laboratory

"I say the first test should be language." Briefs looked at a worksheet in his hand before passing it to Atom, along with a black pen. "Write out the alphabet and label each colour on the right."

Atom quickly scribbled down his answers and handed the sheet back. "You're good enough for kindergarten, now let's take it up a notch."

He handed a list of jumbled words to the toddler. "Unscramble these words and write down their correct spelling in the right-hand column.

'I may not have graduated high school, but I can do this easily.' Atom thought, scribbling down more words and handing the page back.

"Splendid, now time for arithmetic." Briefs brought out a folder with several sheets of paper inside and handed the top one to Atom. "Evaluate these equations, you have 30 minutes."

'30 minutes?! There's over a hundred questions on here!' Atom's eyes widened before he closed his eyes and buckled down to the first question.

Each equation became progressively harder until number 38, where Atom needed a calculator. "Can I please have a calculator for this?"

"This is not a calculator test; you will not be able to use one." Briefs responded cooly, taking a sip of his coffee and continuing to clack away at his keyboard.

'Who the hell is doing trigonometry in their heads?!' Atom exclaimed mentally, he was a boxer, a fighter, not a nerd who remembers how to do cosine rules without a calculator!

Atom was barely half way through when his brain fried and he lost concentration. 'Ah, it's been a while since this has happened.' Atom snapped back into concentration with a slap to his own cheeks.

Flashback – Atom POV

"Atom, you need to pass this year. Me and your mother put a lot of work and money into your education, are you really going to spit in our faces by getting expelled?!" Dad yelled, it was often he talked down to me like this, but it didn't become easier to listen to over time.

"I'm not spitting in your face! I- It's too hard to focus there!" I yelled back, ignoring the stinging pains over my body from my fight earlier.

"Atom… you have everything you need to succeed, the potential, the money, you're just too lazy!"

"I'm not lazy!"

"Then why don't you study!? Why don't you help yourself?! Help me help you, what the hell do I need to do to make you succeed? I'll do anything!"

"Just let me focus on what I like! Then I'll succeed!"

"The world isn't so nice that'll let you do what you like all the time, get it through your thick skull that you can't fight for a living!"

"Watch me! I'll do it, I'll win!"

"Win what? A fractured arm? A broken pelvis? How much pain do you have to feel to understand you aren't built to fight. There are those out there who are, you're not one of them."

"I don't need to be!"

"Yes. You do. You have no idea how the world really works. You think I wanted to be a cook? No! I wanted to be an astronaut! But you just have to suck it up and deal with it. Not everyone can be everything, we all have strengths, so play to yours.

You're smart Atom, I know that, Your mother knows that, you know that. You're smarter than this childish tantrum, you're above it."

I didn't respond before leaving the house. 'I'll show him. He doesn't know what I'm capable of, I do. Who knows me better than me?'

The gym door slid open as my coach checked his watch. "Atom! Did you get the money?"

"Sorry Coach, my dad said no."

"What!? I thought you said he supported you!"

"He does, he said I need to be independent sometimes, so I'll get the money."

"Atom… its alright, I'll pay this time. You better win though, so I can make back my money on bets."

I smiled widely and hugged my teacher, someone who was more of a father to me than my own. "Definitely!"

He pointed to my bag and I nodded, strapping my gloves on and getting into position. "You're biggest weakness is how slow you are, so lets fix that today." Coach yelled, putting up his mits with a smile.

I launched a hook forward and connected with the cushion, shuffling my feet and ducking under a return swipe. 'Yeah, this is what I like, the thrill, this is what makes me feel alive.'

Flashback End

"Atom, times up."

The doctor stood up from his chair and took the worksheet away from me. "Question 38 huh, that's a pretty tough one. Well, now I know you have got some intellectual chops haha."

"A little, but academics aren't really my thing."

"Hm? Then what is?"

"I like to fight."

"Fighting? Then maybe you can protect Bulma. Food for thought though." Briefs took out a booklet and passed it to Atom. "That covers the curriculum from kindergarten to grade 3, that small booklet there can save you 4 years of schooling. Now time for the question, would you like public education, or private?"

Atom looked at the booklet in his hand and smiled. 'I never was much of a people person, I prefer to fight than make friends.' He thought. "Let's do private, but you might need to change a few things for me."

"Mm? How so?"

"Well, I need a bit more practical stuff."

"Oh, don't worry. I designed that myself, I suffer from a condition that makes me more of a practical learner, so it should help you too if that's the case. Did you do testing on your home planet?"

"Something like that."

Briefs smiled and nodded. "Well, your home is on Earth now, here with all of us. And we'll be here to help you."

"Thanks…"

"Just call me Dad, you'll be living here from now on, as Atom Briefs."

Damn, I got a feeling this story gonna be mega cringe. I'm just satisfying my op oc fantasies don't mind me.

Half cerealian, half Saiyan, how much more cringe can we get?

Anyway, this is my first DBZ story and I haven't read many on ffn so I'm not sure if there are certain narrative goals I need to hit for one of these stories.

This is a little side project of mine, so it won't be consistently updated, just whenever I feel like it. I respond to reviews in the chapter after their posted and I have a matreon if you want to support me.

Question for this chapter, Are there any ships you want to see in the story? I don't mind writing romance, but I do mind writing lemons, so keep that in mind.

Have fun, I'm going back to dokkan. - tired
