D Gray Manbaka

Jyugo x Allen

Author Notes: Who would've thought spinning a wheel full of characters would have brought forth so much inspiration. I am motivated-Happy Valentines day to me! Thought process was this-name as many characters that I liked or thought would be interesting to write about and let the pairing decide ships.

And well...I have quite the list here, some of them making so much amazing sense lol. Only two rules were implanted when doing this- first, if they were canononically gay, I had to give the character that matching partner the same gender-whoever was first to pop up.

And second I couldn't pair up characters if they came from the same franchise(ex: ash and misty from pokemon, or yugi and tea from yugioh) regardless of their season or relevance to other characters.

Now Let's see with how this goes, starting with the first pair of the bunch and already a shipping I am now setting full sail on lol. Here we go folks! I do not own Nanbaka or D. Gray Man. (edit-i'm a day late...dammit!)

3rd P.O.V

They met in prison outside of London. It was winter, and the cell they were in was drafty, always leaving them a shivering mess that made them a pile of chilled skin. But that wasn't what kept them awake tonight.

"Allen I swear to God..." But rather it was Allen Walkers incredible bottomless pit of a stomach that liked to growl like a wild beast. No matter how hard Jyugo scurried beneath the blanket and pillow, he heard it, loud and clear. "I'm starving." The raven haired teen rolled his two colored eyes.

He wasn't surprised. They had been locked up together for the last two months now, he was well used to the thieving gentleman's antics and quirks by now. Still, he couldn't stop himself from huffing in disbelief. "We had dinner like two hours ago."

The reminder did nothing to cease the endless rumbles of the white haired prisoner's stomach. Jyugo sighed as he got out from the thin cover that protected him, shivering as he planted his bare feet onto cold cement.

"Honestly you're worst then my friend Rock and he could probably eat an army's worth of food." His expression softened even as he wacked his cellmate on the shoulder. "Come on. Let's head out." Silver orbs widened in glee as he sat up, excited.

Barely hidden from the mussed up strands that stuck up. "Really?" At that Jyugo chuckled, but ultimately said nothing while walking to the bars. Within a few seconds the door slid open with ease. "At this rate neither of us are going to sleep. Sides it's been awhile since we've gone on a date."

The two of them wore similar blushes at the admittance, with Jyugo specifically looking away. Regretting his words almost instantly. He didn't even know what they were officially. Were they dating? Cellmates with benefits? They're definitely friends...but the last few weeks they've gotten closer. Like way closer.

Even kissed a few times, though neither were sure which of them truly crossed that line. Immediately Jyugo wished he listened more to his friend Uno when he went on and on about dating. "Er-unless you don't want that? We can just eat or whatever." In general the convict was not used to situations like this.

He had no idea what to say or how to act. Usually the people around him made the decisions and he just went along with it. "N-no! It's fine, I want it to be a date!" But Allen was an enigma. Polite to the core, unless when gambling is involved.

Compassionate and just-filled, with a never ending desire to eat yet able to remain slim. How he wasn't fat or a muscle head like his old buddy Rock with how much Allen liked to work out, Jyugo will never know.

"G-great! Then let's go." Allen scrambled to his feet, instantly. Like the other teen before him, he shivered from the freezing temperatures. But that didn't stop him long. Adjusting the glove on his hands before he fixed his hair, giving his companion a sweet smile. "Ready when you are."

The blushes on their faces died down a tad. But the warmth that spread within them didn't. Allen shyly took ahold of Jyugo's hand. White glove pressed against warm tanned skin with black nails. As far as appearances go they were complete opposites.

Same could be said to an extent to their personalities, as Jyugo tended to be indifferent to most things, socially awkward to where he barely does anything. He wasn't skilled at anything except breaking out of jail, yet he couldn't help but feel happy and confident with leading Allen out of their cell.

With expert movements he was easily able to guide them passed the security cameras and patrol officers. Together they were outside within a matter of moments, taking in the snow filled ground and bright twinkling sky.

A crisp breeze blew their hair back, allowing to soak in the beautiful world around them. Though anything would be considered beautiful when stuck in gray rooms with nothing to do all day. Still neither of them could do nothing but smile, enjoying the sight before them before Allen's belly roared again.

Jyugo could only laugh when Allen covered himself with his free hand, his cheeks once more taking a red tint. "Sorry..." His friend huffed, amused before walking, taking Allen with him. "Don't worry about it. There should be an Italian place not too far."

Allen beamed, looking like a child in a candy store. Which made him actually look his age. A stark contrast to the aging worry lines that was usually on his serious face. For tonight the two of them would enjoy themselves.

"Race you there!" Stuffing their face with pasta and garlic bread, enjoying all that the restaurant would have to offer before returning to their reality of barren isolation. "He-hey that's cheating Allen! You don't even know where you're going!"

Their minds would be free from the memories of the verbal and physical abuse they have to endure both inside and out of their prison. Of the dark secrets the both of them held deep within the recesses of their hearts.

The two of them laugh as they slip on the snow filled ground. "Then that means it should be easy for you to catch up! Last one there buys!" Jyugo knew nights like this wouldn't last forever, he was well aware of this.

"Dammit!" His transfer to Nanba Prison was all but guranteed according to the warden when he interrogated him earlier this week. And Allen, though never told him, had a faraway gaze the last couple days, tugging anxiously at his gloves everytime the mention of escaping came up.

Even now, despite the bond they have, Jyugo never asked nor was told why such a good soul was in this shitty prison. "Slow down! You know I don't run!" He had no clue other than the bare basics of what makes Allen Walker, Allen Walker and frankly that's enough for Jyugo.

But...he knew that with out or without his skill, his friend with bright silver eyes, white hair and scar on his face would be leaving. That regardless of what brought him here...he would be gone, just like the wind. "I told you to start training with me. Not my fault-whoa!"

Neither of them have ever been the type to be commited to one place, thing or even person. "You alright man? You fell hard." But the bond they had was different. "Ugh...yeah I'm alright. Where's the restaurant?" No matter where they were or what they were doing...

"I'm not telling~ But I Will help you up though." These last few months will hold a special place in their hearts. As would their memories. "Thanks." Sharing a smile, the two now carefully walk, their hands still interlocked while making their way to their destination.

to be continued

Author Notes: Holy crap, I wrote this in under an hour! And it actually came out good?! I should do random wheel prompts more often because jeez i'm happy with this one. Honestly these two were paired up with other people in my wheel.

But both of the characters came from a series where they were in ancient eras that didn't really work. So because of that, those previous two were cut out and I just said screw it and put these two together.

Again i'm proud of this despite it being so short. But that is it for now guys. Thank you so much for reading my little one shot. If you like this please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean so much to me. Tchao for now!
