Chapter Six: Million Thoughts
Thomas lowered his arm and stared at the now-silent phone in his hands. A million thoughts raced through his head. Every aspect of the call with Ivan was demanding to be carefully considered even though he felt he was short on time. Though Ivan had not said anything about how much time he had to complete the task, Magnum had the impression that he had to have it done sooner than later.
But when it came down to it, the thought that constantly kept forcing itself to the fore of his mind was if Juliet was alive or not. Though Ivan said he had Higgins, and it was more than likely he did, Thomas didn't know if he should simply take the man's word for it.
He was almost afraid to check.
