In the New World or also known as the second half of the Grand Line, a man was holding a baby girl who had black hair and black eyes. The baby looked to be no older than a week or two old. The man was wearing a green cloak that covered his body. He had black hair and black eyes just like the baby. Though that was a likely because he was her father. The only thing that made him stand out was the tribal looking tattoo on his face. This was Monkey D. Dragon and the baby was Monkey D. Niki.
Right now Dragon was standing in front of an old man with wild white hair that stuck up at every angle. He also had a pair of goggles pulled up to his forehead revealing his eyes. He wore a white lab coat clearly showing a fondness for science. This was the scientist Dr. Vegapunk.
" Dr. Vegapunk I've brought my daughter to you because I've heard you've managed to fuse a devil fruit with Kaido's child. This enhanced the child's body and abilities far beyond normal. As you know I am the leader of the revolutionary army and that alone will draw many people both allies and enemies to her. Thus I want you to do the same to my daughter. I want her to have the strength to accomplish her dreams. I give you permission to do anything necessary to make her capable to accomplish her goals. I will leave her with you for five years to do what you need to do."
The doctor thought for a moment then said" Very well. I assume that is the devil fruit you wish me to use."
Dragon nodded before saying" This is the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika. My family has guarded this for centuries and I immediately got the feeling that my daughter was the perfect choice to have that power. The power of the sun god."
The doctor nodded and said" Ok well I assume you'll be staying long enough to ensure that the procedure is a success and to ensure I actually use the devil fruit for the intended purpose you have given." Seeing the look on Dragon's face the doctor simply said" This fruit hasn't been seen in 800 years and now it appears, that can only mean you think it's time for the return of the sun god. Well more accurately the return of the sun goddess. After all when I fuse the fruit with your daughter she will literally become the sun goddess. Nika will disappear from the fruit and the fruit will cease to exist. Your daughter will quite literally become the sun goddess. Now if I may begin."
Dragon nodded after the explanation and handed the fruit and Niki to the doctor. Who after taking the baby in one arm and the fruit in the other, went to a lab where he laid the baby down on a pillow in the lab while placing the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika in the blender where after it was thoroughly blended it was sucked into a syringe.
" This may not be easy to watch but it is the only way to guarantee success. I will first give her a sedative and numb her body so she doesn't feel anything."
After doing as he said the doctor explained what was going to happen." I will need to inject the devil fruit directly into her heart. This will bond the fruit to her and grant her the full abilities of the fruit. Now let us begin."
Dr. Vegapunk then injected the blended up god fruit into Niki's heart and soon changes began to occur. First her hair turned white then her eyes turned silver color. Her body seemed to grow more toned and her body structure strengthened. Her bones much denser her muscles became denser as well. Her body radiated heat but luckily Niki seemed to subconsciously know how to control her abilities. After all the core temperature of the sun is 27 million degrees Fahrenheit, while the surface of the sun is about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. That much heat would kill everyone near her in an instant.
Seeing the doctor done with the procedure Dragon said his goodbye and left. So over the next 5 years Dr. Vegapunk altered Niki's body. He enhanced her senses by using dna from creatures such as eagles to enhance her vision and the dna from a dolphin to enhance brain functions such as intelligence and memory. He used dna from an elephant to enhance her sense of smell, he enhanced her sense of taste with the dna of a catfish and enhanced her sense of touch with the dna of a star-nosed mole. Then the dna of a greater wax moth to enhance her hearing.
Although since Niki was a god now her senses could be top tier already so theoretically this would just make her senses even more powerful. Although it did take several months to train Niki how to control her senses.
When Niki was 4 years old, Dr. Vegapunk decided to test and see if Niki was weakened by sea stone. While she was slightly weakened, over the next year Vegapunk managed to rid Niki of the weakness by using a body suit filled with sea stone fragments scattered all over the suit forcing her body to adjust to the sea stone and totally negating that weakness. He even took her to the coast and had her swim in the sea to ensure the weakness to the sea was gone.
Of course he went out with her into the sea. First he may be a scientist but he wouldn't kill a child even if that child was a god. Second if something did happen to Niki, the doctor could kiss his life goodbye because Dragon would slaughter him.
Over the few years Niki was with Vegapunk he quickly learned that Niki developed far faster than anyone ever thought possible. Despite being so young Niki had read every book in the scientist's library. Niki learned of the seas and the several hundred islands scattered throughout the world. She read of the Celestial Dragons and the World Government. The pirates were what caught her attention. To be free, to have adventures, to be surrounded by friends and people she could think of as family. That was the day she decided her dream. To be the queen of the pirates.
Now it was Niki's fifth birthday and her father was at the lab to take his daughter to the land of Wano where she would be trained in her abilities as well as haki. Dragon would awaken her haki while they traveled to Wano. This would make it easier for her to train since she wouldn't need to waste time having her haki awakened because it was awakened before arriving.
It took a few days to get to Wano and during that time Dragon took her aside and said" Ok Niki today I will awaken your haki. Now whatever you do don't pass out. If you can try to push back. Think of what you want out of life, your goals and aspirations." With that said Dragon suddenly took on a powerful visage that made Niki pale slightly. She was then hit with an invisible force that nearly brought her to her knees. She fought to stay standing and started thinking of what she wanted out of life. She wanted freedom. She wanted adventure. She growled and pushed back against the force for a moment and when she felt the force from her father disappear she fell to her knees breathing heavily.
" Good job Niki you managed to push back. This means you have conquerors haki. This type of haki relies on your will. You must have a strong will. The stronger your will the more powerful your conquerors haki will be. Now I will give you an hour to rest and then I will teach you the basics of observation haki and armament haki. When the hour was up Niki was back in front of her father, ready to learn.
" Haki is a mysterious power that allows the user to utilize their own spiritual energy for various purposes.
It can be used to sense people's spiritual energy and predict their actions, give the user a protective coating of spiritual energy, and, for a certain group of "chosen ones", overpower the willpower of others.
All living beings in the world are capable of learning Haki; however, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it.
Now I've already awaken your haki and seeing as how you pushed back against my conquerors haki that means you possess conquerors haki as well. Now as I said earlier conquerors haki relies on your willpower. The stronger your willpower is the stronger your conquerors haki will be.
Observation haki is a form of Haki that grants the user a sixth sense that allows them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities
Armament haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to use their own spiritual energy to create, in essence, a black armor around themself, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities. Notably, this form of Haki can be used to injure Devil Fruit users that are otherwise immune to ordinary physical attacks, such as Logia users
There are also advanced version of each haki type.
First Conquerors Haki's advanced forms are: Infusion and Observation Killer.
Infusion: let's you empower your body and things like weapons with the strength of your will.
Observation Killer: is an advanced Conquerors Haki technique which allows for the control of one's own aura or presence, negating an opponent's ability to see into the future with Observation Haki.
Now Observation Haki's advanced technique is Future Sight, which as I stated grants you a brief glimpse into the future. This is useful against strong opponents.
Lastly is Armament Haki's advanced forms.
Emission: Sufficiently skilled users of Armament Haki are capable of letting the power flow out from a part of their body and emitting it over a short distance without a medium to carry it. This allows the user to unleash a small invisible burst which will knock back anything in the aforementioned body part's immediate vicinity with the force of a very powerful punch. Thus, the user becomes capable of striking and harming people and objects without making physical contact with them
Internal Destruction: A step above the technique of emitting Armament is having it flow into a targets body and destroy it from the inside out, which can be done by touching, grabbing, or even emitting Haki toward the object. Against opponents, this technique wreaks tremendous internal damage and is currently the most destructive known Armament technique. This technique is also useful against objects which cannot be broken easily.
We will train in haki until we arrive in the land you were born. The land of Wano."
So for the next few days Dragon trained Niki in haki. He quickly realized that his daughter was a genius of hard work. When he thought she was done she pushed herself even harder. When she fell from exhaustion she would immediately go into meditation to train her mind and spirit.
Soon enough Dragon was leading Niki to a temple where a teenage girl with white hair and red horns, her eyes were orange and she appeared to be around 14 years old. The man looked like a warrior priest of sorts. She was cut from her thoughts when Dragon spoke.
" Hello Tenguyama, this is my daughter that I spoke of a few years ago." He then turns to his daughter and introduces the others" Niki this man is Tenguyama Hitetsu and the girl is Yamato. Like you she had her devil fruit infused into her heart. The fruit that was infused to her was the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami. Tenguyama and Yamato this is my daughter Monkey D. Niki she was infused with the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika. Now Niki you are here to be trained in your abilities and haki. I will return to my duty as a leader but I will see you when you start your journey when you turn 17. That means you have 12 years to grow in body and mind. You will end this era of corruption. Of that I have no doubt." He then hugged Niki before vanishing as if he was never there to begin with.
Niki stepped forward and bowed politely before saying" I look forward to your training. I will not bring you disgrace by slacking in my training. Father showed me the basics of haki and explained everything about haki even informing me of the advanced forms of haki. Admittedly I think my abilities as a sun goddess need the most work. I know I can control fire since well I'm a sun goddess as well as rubber. Though admittedly I have no idea how it came to be that Nika had rubber abilities. As for my haki I am a quick learner and already have the basics down I just need them refined. I am hoping that in the next 12 years I can master my haki to a sufficient level to start my adventure of becoming the pirate queen."
Hearing all of this Tenguyama and Yamato were shocked and impressed at the young child. It was rare for an adult to have such a dream with the will to ensure that it becomes a reality, and this young girl was determined to see her dream come true.
Yamato walked up and pulled Niki into a hug before saying" That is a wonderful dream and I will assist you in that dream when you are ready to start your journey. Until then I will be happy to train with you. I can tell you have limitless potential and I will ensure that you use that to your advantage."
Tenguyama walked up to the girls and said" I will not go easy on you during training. I will break you down and build you up over and over again, each time you are healed your body will adapt and improve. Now I heard that you trained to rid yourself of the weakness a devil fruit has. Well I will not use fragments of sea stone. I will use solid sea stone such as sea stone restraints that the government uses and make a suit that is made entirely of sea stone. When I am done the sea will fear you." He then turns to Yamato and says" If you plan to be with her and join her on her journey I will train you the same. This is Wano and I will train you the Wano way. To be ruthless to your enemies and be a leader to your allies."
The two girls only gave a confident smirk and their eyes were filled with determination. Tenguyama nodded and said" Then we will begin immediately." So for the next five years Niki and Yamato were put through hell just as Tenguyama said. They were broken repeatedly then healed only to come back stronger. When the got stronger their training was tripled and when they were broken again they were healed again. This became normal so fast that the girls were not even expecting anything but the same. They grew tremendously in power. Easily among the strongest in the world but both being goddesses that was to be expected. Niki the sun goddess and Yamato the wolf deity.
Unlike Niki, Yamato and the fruit she was infused with, were built for close quarters combat where as Niki could fight at any range using her flames and rubbery abilities. Right now the two were getting ready for more training. When Tenguyama came running up to them and said" Their closing off the island. You two need to go before they do. I know you'll continue your training and in the mean time I will help the resistance from Kaido and his allies. Now go, Niki use your flames and take Yamato and take to the sky. Fly away from here. Go above the clouds to avoid the storms on the seas. Also I have something for the two of you."
First he pulled off a sword from the wall and handed it to Yamato and said" Yamato this as you know is Nidai Kitetsu. This sword was made for a man that was only one inch taller than you. So it should fit you perfectly being 8 feet 8 inches tall, there aren't to many blades that can fit you. Niki I've had a ship being designed by Dr. Vegapunk and the worlds best shipwright. It is waiting for you in the east blue, on an island known as Dawn Island at the port in Foosha Village. Now go girls before Kaido sends someone to retrieve his daughter."
Niki using flames as boosters lifted in to the sky grabbed Yamato by the hands and flipping Yamato onto Niki's back, once Yamato had got situated on Niki's back the two said their goodbyes before Niki pointed her palms at the ground and blasted flames at the ground to gain altitude. Soon enough the Yamato and Niki were above the clouds flying at incredible speeds to the east blue.
As they flew through the sky they soon spotted a city below but it was clear it was for the Celestial Dragons. It was gaudy and pretentious just what the Celestial Dragons were. Oh Niki knew all about these people who claimed to be descendants of god. They weren't. Using her enhanced vision she spotted a fishman climbing up the side of the Red Line. Niki asked" Yamato-chan can we go see if we can help? I imagine he's going to free some friends or his crew maybe. Plus a bit of action would help us stretch out our bodies, we have been flying for awhile."
Yamato looked at the fishman before she smiled at Niki and nodded receiving a cheer from the younger girl. Quickly Niki flew down and asked" Hey Mr. fishman do you want some help?"
Startled the fishman nearly lost his grip on the Red Line. He turned and gawked at the girl who was flying with a much bigger girl on her back. Snapping out of his shock he started with introductions" Hello young ones. I am Fisher Tiger and who might you two young ladies be?"
Niki smiled and said" I'm Monkey D. Niki and my friend is Yamato. We just left the New World and I spotted you. I assume you had friends who were taken by the Celestial Dragons and you're on your way to free them. I wanted to ask, can we help?" Your mission will go smoother if you have someone who can cause a diversion while you and the rest escape."
Tiger thought for a moment and finally nodded. He then heard Niki speak" We'll go ahead and scout out the city and report back. I've memorized your presence so I will know when you make it to the city." The girls seeing Fisher Tiger nod Niki flew up into the sky quickly disappearing into the night. This was because she was using haki and her rubber abilities to fly instead of her flames.
Arriving above the Holy Land of Mariejois, the girls spotted several look out towers and a dozen squads patrolling the city. They also sensed a group of people maybe the slaves in extreme pain." That must be the slaves. We should go inform Tiger then take out the guards so they don't get in his way. Niki-chan you take out the guards in the towers and I'll take out the guards on the streets. When you sense Tiger leaving the area do what you do and cause chaos."
Niki giggled before flying towards the edge of the city where Yamato told Tiger the plan. The girls after separating from Tiger went on their stealth and assassination mission.
With Niki she flew through the sky using her haki fused rubber abilities as to not be spotted in the night sky. After all flames at night would be impossible to miss. She spotted at least as many guards watching from the towers as their were patrolling the city. Pulling out a set of daggers that Tenguyama made for her she quickly and efficiently took out the guards. She slashed one guards throat while plunging her other dagger into the other guards heart. It took nearly an hour to take out the guards in all the towers. It wouldn't have taken so long if she didn't have to clear out several floors in each tower.
Meanwhile Yamato was doing the same she would however have to get rid of the bodies in case someone came walking down the street. She would take out a squad then use her immense strength and speed to pick up and haul the bodies to the edge of the Red Line where she proceeded to toss the bodies over the edge of the Red Line. She repeated this process for an hour unknowingly finishing the same time as Niki.
Tiger seeing the girls come back he set to work, freeing the slaves. 10 minutes later The girls sensed Tiger and the freed slaves leaving from the south side so Niki with Yamato on her back flew into the sky and lit all the towers on fire once Tiger and his group had left the city but caused much more chaos in the north to draw the attention away from the ones who were still making their way to the cliffs where Tiger had set a make shift elevator while Yamato and Niki were dealing with the guards.
As Niki set everything on fire in the north she felt a presence that was similar to hers if only slightly" It seem grandpa is on his way." Checking her senses she felt Tiger and the others far enough down the Red Line that she flew into the clouds where a storm was forming. Knowing the storm would help hide the two girls presence.
Meanwhile with Garp
Garp could only stare in disbelief as he watched the Holy Land burn. He knew who did this. He had felt her presence. He had only met his granddaughter once but the presence he felt was still hers if not enormously more powerful. The other presence reminded him of Kaido. Maybe Kaido had a kid as he was trying to feel out his granddaughter's presence it suddenly vanished. He was at first confused but when he saw a storm approaching he couldn't help but laugh. His granddaughter knew how to hide. He knew the ability Observation Killer and could only guess that Niki knew any marines tasked with guarding the Holy Land would know it as well so she flew into the storm clouds where the storm would mask her presence for sure. Soon the admirals, the fleet admiral and the five elders all appeared and could only watch in shock as the Holy Land continued to burn.
Garp spoke up" It seems all the slaves have been freed and this massive fire was a mere diversion to allow the one who freed the slaves to get away unnoticed. This was done by at least 3 people. One to take out the towers another to take out the patrol guards and the last to sneak past and free the slaves. I don't know who did this but I will say they planned this perfectly. Right now we need to put out the fires." The admirals all left to do just that while the fleet admiral Sengoku and the five elders stayed. Sengoku then asked" You know who was responsible for this don't you? I can sense your emotions and you know at least one person who was involved in this operation. Who was it."
Garp sighed and said" My granddaughter Monkey D. Niki. She was born in Wano 10 years ago. I haven't seen her since the day she was born. The only reason I know it was her was her presence. She's clearly been trained well. She flew into the storm clouds to guarantee that she wouldn't be sensed. The other presence felt like Kaido. Did he have a child we didn't know about. The two presences were very powerful. I'd say at least on par with me. This is bad if my granddaughter's presence is this powerful and she's 10 years old now what will she be like in 7 years when she starts her journey.
The elders and Sengoku despite themselves paled at that thought. They knew Garp never judged someone's strength wrongly even if they were family. So this could only be trouble in the future.
Garp spoke again" I need to help with this mess I'll see you afterwards Sengoku." With that said Garp vanished into the chaos his granddaughter brought to Mariejois.
Meanwhile back with the girls they had just made it far enough away from the Red Line that they could leave the clouds.
The girls soon found a small island that was only the size of a marine battleship. It had three trees and a small meadow filled with flowers. The girls decided to take a break before the head the rest of the way to the east blue.
Niki knew something would happen so she spoke up" I think something is going to happen or rather I think we should expect my grandpa to show up in a few hours. I have no doubt he sensed us. My grandpa will follow us as soon as we break the cloud cover and he can sense us again."
Yamato looked at Niki before she asked" Will we have to fight? Should we leave before he gets here?"
Niki shook her head before answering" No, he is part of the Monkey D. family we are stubborn and determined. If my grandpa wants to find me, he won't stop until he does find me,"
Yamato knew all to well that Niki's family was stubborn and determined. After spending five years with the girl she could safely say it was Niki's determination that helped her through that hell that was called training. Tenguyama was a master sensei and he drilled them in everything that concerned the body. Whether it be the body itself or the spiritual body meaning haki. He also helped them improve their abilities. However he was relentless and did not except any slacking.
Deciding to sleep a bit Yamato laid down and pulled Niki into her chest where the younger girl snuggled close and was soon fast asleep. Yamato smiled at the girl who had become so precious to her. She started remembering all the fun they had when they weren't training, subconsciously running her fingers through Niki's snow white hair.
She remembered chasing butterflies and catching lizards. She remembered playing tag throughout the entire land of Wano, Swimming in the secluded lake that was sitting underneath the land of Wano. That had been a surprise to the girls, they never knew of any place like a lake being under an island. It was a massive lake that covered nearly half of Wano. They also explored a large majority of the caves that Wano had.
After that last thought Yamato joined Niki in the dream world.
A few hours later the girls were waken up by the presence of someone powerful. It took a moment to wake up but when they did Niki spoke up" Come out grandpa I know you're watching us from the sky. It may still be dark but I can sense you watching us."
Garp came down appearing to be jumping on air. That intrigued the girls but knew it was likely a marine thing so getting Garp to teach them the technique was a waste of time.
Once Garp stood before the girls he took in their appearance. First was his granddaughter Niki, she was quite tall for a 10 year old standing at about 5 feet 6 inches tall. She had long waist length snow white hair that was done in a braided ponytail, she also had several strands of hair that framed the sides of her face. Her eyes were silver and looked full of power. She was wearing a black pair of combat pants with black combat boots. She wore a black open back sleeveless tank top. Meanwhile her friend was very tall standing at 8 feet 8 inches tall. She had long, white hair that is bound between orange rods into a ponytail at the back, which fades into aqua green and then blue the further down it goes, and ends in rectangular locks. She also has large, orange eyes with prominent eyelashes, wears gold hoop earrings on both ears, and has horns on the top of her head which are mostly red, but gradually become more flesh-colored toward the base. She wears a sleeveless white garment with a diamond-shaped design on both sides and an indigo, wisp-patterned bottom half. She is also wearing a pair of red hakama pants and sandal.
Having ended his observations he finally spoke" So Niki what happened to you. You used to have black hair and eyes but not any longer?"
Niki just shrugged before responding" my body changed when I was 2 weeks old. My changes such as my height you could say are the results of a certain fruit incident. I have the powers but the fruit itself no longer exists. I took its power and discarded the empty husk that the fruit was."
Garp blinked then blinked again before laughing and once he noticed the serious faces slightly paled. If he knew his son as well as he thought he did, there was only one fruit he would trust his family with. If Niki was the sun god now it meant trouble for the marines and anyone who stood against her. As a god Niki had limitless potential and she was already as strong as he was if his senses were right. What kind of monster would she be in 7 years when she took to the seas. He was broken out of his thoughts when Niki spoke.
" I know you sensed me in Mariejois so tell me grandpa what do you want. You should be with your foolish masters who think themselves descendants of god when in reality they are descendants of pirates who started the government after the Great War more than 800 years ago. You tell them when you return that if they come after me or anyone that I love, I will finish what I started and set the Red Line ablaze. It takes a bit more than a thousand degrees Fahrenheit to melt stone and being a sun goddess I am quite able to melt the Red Line. Remember that.
Garp was shocked at what he heard. Not only did she seem to know about the void century but also the war and the truth about the Celestial dragons. He was now getting nervous. The elders would not like to hear that they are not descendants of god. They did not know this only the Monkey D. family still had records of the truth. After all the one who came up with the idea was a Monkey D.
Before he could say anything Niki and Yamato were gone leaving him to ponder the information he had been given. Should he really tell them the truth of the origins of the Celestial dragons and risk their wrath or tell them everything but the truth of their heritage. Decisions, Decisions.
