After leaving Dawn Island the married couple that was Niki and Yamato sailed lazily through the East Blue. Why they were just cruising had a simple answer. Seven years in the weakest sea had nearly driven the lovers crazy. At least in Wano there was always something to do or someone to fight. Out at sea was a different story. The waves, the salty sea air, the sea creatures from various fish to even sea kings. The sea was rarely boring. With that thought in mind, as if summoned by the mere thought a whirlpool appeared, luckily it was not big enough to even move the White Haired pirate ship.
Yamato looked over and saw a passenger ship being scouted by a pirate ship that was fairly well hidden behind a small island. She asked" What should we do Niki-chan? I mean it's clear we will do something but what we do there has a couple options." Niki looked at Yamato for a moment then looked at the ship before she said" We will let them board the ship I'll be waiting for them. While I take care of the pirates you go aboard their ship and plunder their treasure. I have a feeling they will leave one pirate to guard their treasure. Let's begin the operation my love." After a quick kiss to Yamato she flew into the air, while Yamato took the ship under water and snuck behind the pirates and their horrifyingly colored pink ship.
Niki posting herself on a sail to overlook the point the pirates would attack watched as the quite obvious captain bullied a boy with pink hair and seemed to puff up at the fact that she had absolutely dominated the pink hair kids will. This pissed off Niki something bad. She was pissed at the large woman for needing to bully her crew around to get what she wanted and then she was irritated with the pink haired kid because he obviously lacked a spine. However she needed to stay focused because she wouldn't allow a civilian to be harmed if she could do anything about it. Which she quite clearly could.
Meanwhile with Yamato. She was right above the front deck staring down at the pirates who she had learned was led by their captain who's name was Alvida. Right now Alvida was barking at a pink haired boy who looked absolutely terrified of the large woman. Soon she was broken out of her thoughts when she started asking a question that even made Yamato cringe at the obvious lie Alvida wanted to be told." Coby who is the most beautiful woman in all of the seas?" The pink haired boy now known as Coby stuttered out his answer in a shaky tone" That would be are beautiful captain lady Alvida." The captain roared with laughter and Yamato couldn't help but pity the brat named Coby. Sure he was weak willed but it wasn't his fault. No, the blame lies with Alvida. She knew and could feel the anger from Niki. No doubt having heard everything with her enhanced hearing.
Seeing the crew just having leapt on to the passenger ship Yamato was quick to begin her search. She first searched the kitchen and the living quarters and found nothing. Then she searched Alvida's quarters and was horrified at the smell of cheap perfumes and fish. However she saw a large chest which when it was opened it consisted entirely of Beri. If she had to guess there was about a million Beri. She closed the chest and picked it up and walked to the vault which was below the deck. When she got to the vault she was disappointed to find only one guard and he was clearly drunk if the red cheeks and the drooping eyes not to mention his breathe smelled of sake. Simply decapitating him she walked in and sighed in annoyance after realizing that the treasure in the vault was all fake. Leaving the ship she whistled and a fire ball hit the ship, setting it on fire with the white flames known to be used by Niki.
Meanwhile a woman with orange hair and reddish brown eyes was watching the ship she had hoped to raid burn to ash. She then caught sight of the one who raided the Alvida pirates and smirked though she wouldn't have smirked if she saw the full image of the raider instead of a shadow cast through the flames. So choosing to follow the person who raided the Alvida pirates. She nearly collapsed in shock at what she saw when she caught up with the figure. The ship was massive and clearly was designed by the best. She watched as a door closed and she felt her hope get crushed. The vault was coded to with retina scanners and palm scanners. It was new tech that had been created by two woman and endorsed by Dr. Vegapunk. Then she saw who came out and paled drastically. The woman was a giant compared to her. She then heard the woman speak" You need to work on your stealth. I knew you were following me the moment you decided to follow me. You also need to learn how to mask your intent I could practically feel the greed pouring off of you. Now why don't we wait for my captain so she can decide what to do with you. By the way I'm Monkey D. Yamato and this ship belongs to Monkey D. Niki." The orange haired girl coughed and said" Right my name is Nami." With a nod Yamato led Nami to the deck where they watched Niki deal with the pirates.
Back with Niki. She was watching the large woman bark orders at her crew before having Coby inflate her ego by telling her whatever she wanted to hear. Then Alvida ordered" Take everything of value and kill everyone afterwards. We can't have someone reporting us. Coby be useful for once and go find me some good wine, a queen only drinks the best." Everyone stopped when they heard a laugh. Finally after a moment everyone saw a woman with long white hair that was done with a braided ponytail and several strands framing either side of her beautiful face. Her eyes were silver and appeared to be so sharp that they could pierce your soul with a single glance, she was wearing black combat pants that had dark purple stripes running down the sides of her legs. She wore a dark purple tank top and a black sleeveless long coat. There were black combat boots on her feet but what really pissed off Alvida was the sheer beauty of this woman. However all thoughts halted when she stood up and towered over everyone. They then heard her speak." I am quite disgusted with the lot of you. You target innocent civilians. While it's true a pirate does what they want, they should never target the innocent. However you will not harm anyone anymore after today. I will kill your crew, my wife has already raided your ship and I burned it a few minutes ago. So without a crew or a ship you are just a disgusting human being that will soon meet lady death. I am ruthless to my enemies after all and a leader to my allies.
Niki then began her deadly dance. Dodge a swipe and counter a stab. She moved with such grace that all observers were mesmerized at the dance of death. Every time she would dodge someone else would die in her place. She then did something that no one other than Yamato understood. She stomped the ground and white flames erupted from her feet and spread out incinerating anything it touched. By now Alvida was trying to hide a wet spot in her pants. She had never been as terrified as she was right now. Suddenly the dance was over and Alvida's crew were gone, not even ashes remained of her crew. Coby had managed to board Niki's ship and was now wondering if it was smart to board a monster's ship. While Nami was pale as a ghost. She was now very happy she wasn't able to steal from these pirates or else she wouldn't live to see the next day. Then a stray thought hit her" She is strong enough to help me. I just need to know what kind of person she is. We don't need an even stronger person ruling us like Arlong has for the last decade." She was cut from her thoughts when Niki spoke" Alvida your life is forfeit, pray to whatever god you believe in before I send you to lady death." Not hearing a word from Alvida she shrugged before throwing a white flame at Alvida and watched her burn. With her business done Niki went to her ship where she was immediately brought into a hug by Yamato.
Before they could celebrate to much, three marine battleships arrived and started firing on Niki's ship" Are they stupid? They could hit the passenger ship if they aren't careful. Time to dive." Pulling Coby along while Yamato pulled Nami. They went to the command center and submerged underwater. No doubt the marines were confused. After all a submarine in the East Blue was unheard of. As Niki piloted Yamato asked" Where are we going Niki-chan?" Smiling Niki said" We're headed to Shells Town. I hear Zoro is there. I figure a good person for you to train. He uses three sword style. He also has the Wado Ichimonji." That peeked Yamato's interest. There were only a handful of swords on the level of that blade. Her Nidai Kitetsu being one of them.
As Niki piloted her ship underwater Nami decided to ask some questions." Who are you people? I've never seen anyone with your level of strength. Also what was your purpose for setting sail." Sure it would seem rude to ask such a question but Nami needed to know who she was dealing with so she had little choice but to ask. Niki looked at Nami before saying" We are from the land of Wano which is on the second half of the Grand Line. The lady standing next to you is my wife. Monkey D. Yamato and I am Monkey D. Niki. As for my goal, I will become the queen of the pirates. I want absolute freedom. You see to us being a pirate isn't about ruling anything, it's about being free. Don't get me wrong if anyone crosses me or the ones I love I will crush them without hesitation."
While Nami was thinking on Niki's words, Coby had to speak his opinion" The queen of the pirates that must mean you are looking for the ultimate treasure. You are seeking the One Piece." Niki nodded and Coby began his panicked rant" No way, that's impossible. There are thousands of pirates out there that are stronger than anyone in the East Blue. You'll die way before you get to the One Piece." His rant was effectively silenced when Yamato smacked him upside the head. Niki just laughed before saying." First we are not from the East Blue. Second we are among the strongest in the world. Do you really think I would be foolish enough to have a dream like the one I have and not have the power to make my dream come true. Look sometimes you have to fight for your dreams. Tell me, what is your dream?"
Coby paused at the question before summoning all the courage he could muster and proclaimed proudly" I want to be a marine. Ever since I was captured by Alvida, I've wanted nothing more than to be a marine and catch scum like her." Niki then asked a follow up question that made him deflate." Do you think a weak person with a weak will can force that dream to become a reality. Look kid I'm not trying to be mean but you need to understand that this world is cruel and if you lack power there will always be someone who will use your weak will to their advantage like Alvida did. She used you to inflate her ego. She was by far the weakest pirate in the East Blue and yet she had you beat into submission. Coby you must become strong if you want your dream to come true. I will talk to my grandpa and see if he can whip you into shape. Maybe then he will get off my back about me becoming a marine." Yamato walked up and said" Now Niki-chan Garp only wants you to follow in his footsteps and not your dad's footsteps."
This caught both Coby and Nami's attention. Both have heard the name Monkey D. Garp before so the question was, where. Suddenly Coby gasped in shock having finally remembered who Garp was" You can't be, you're Marine Vice Admiral Garp's granddaughter." Nami blinked then gaped at the new information. Niki just shrugged before stating rather nonchalantly" Grandpa is fine following orders, well I'm not. I will go where I want to go and do what I want to do. Grandpa not only has to take orders from the Admirals but also the Fleet Admiral, Commander-in-Chief and the worthless bastards calling themselves the Celestial Dragons. To hell with that." With that said Niki refocused on getting to Shells Town.
A few hours later the foursome that consisted of Coby, Nami, Yamato and Niki were standing before the dock master." Halt, all visitors must pay an entrance fee of 4,000 Beri per person." Niki asked" How about 16,000 Beri for the four of us and an additional 5,000 Beri for you to forget you ever saw us?" The dock master looked around for a moment before taking the Beri offered. He then turned back to his clipboard and simply waved off the group. Everyone seeing the dismissal left quickly. Only to have to pause at the rather depressing mood coming from the villagers.
Walking through through the town Yamato and Niki who could sense emotions were getting rather pissed at how bad everyone was feeling and it was clear that someone is causing this. Yamato then asked" Who is in charge of the town. I find it hard to believe that they would willingly let the town get like this. Maybe Zoro had something to do with it." People screamed when Yamato mentioned Zoro's name. Coby blinked before saying" Well we might learn what happened to this town if we go ask Captain Axe-hand Morgan." Again people screamed confusing Coby but made Niki frown before turning to Yamato and raising a delicate eyebrow to which Yamato just shrugged but they both knew something fishy was happening on this island.
Niki walked to the marine base with the others following behind. Niki soon asked after seeing a man tied to some posts" Is that Zoro. They must be trying to humiliate him. I mean why else would they have him displayed. Nami having finally climbed high enough on the wall to see over just said in a deadpan voice." Niki why don't you look at the wall in front of you and look at us that aren't giants and tell me why they are trying to humiliate a man that no one besides you and your wife can see unless they climb the wall." Niki stared at Nami for a moment then looked down and saw that the wall was around eight feet high but Niki didn't even notice having been following the presence of the strongest in the town other than herself and Yamato. She blushed in embarrassment before saying" Sorry about that I was following the presence of the strongest in the town and it appears it led me to Zoro." Coby and Nami could only nod dumbly at the reason.
A little girl soon appeared and seeing the quartet she put a finger to her lip before climbing over." Well this just got interesting.." The others could only nod at Niki's words. They had been worried at first simply going off the reaction from the townspeople. However it seems they got it wrong if this child holds no fear towards the swordsman. They then heard the little girl speak." Hey Nii-chan I brought you some rice balls . You've been here for three weeks because of me. I at least want you to eat." Zoro looked at the little girl before growling out" Look I can't eat that. I have to make it a month tied up here without food for an entire month or that stupid brat said he would execute you and your mother. I appreciate the thought but in order to keep you safe I can't eat anything until I'm released. I only have one more week." The little girl was about to cry when everyone heard a voice.
" Now now Zoro it's impolite to refuse food when offered. However I'll be taking those rice balls." The little girl screamed at the newcomer" No you can't have those. They are for nii-chan." The man scowled at the little girl before taking a bite and immediately spit it out before yelling at the little girl" You dumb brat did you use sugar when you made these rice balls,? You idiot child you use salt when making rice balls, salt you hear me." He then turned back to Zoro and said" By the way did you not know anyone who aids a criminal is to be executed immediately." Turning to a lieutenant he barked out an order" You there soldier, toss this girl over the wall." Seeing the hesitation the man screamed at the lieutenant" Do what I say or I'll tell my father that you disobeyed me." The man picked up the little girl before saying." Try to curl into a ball. It will reduce the damage you take from the fall." He then tossed the girl. Niki seeing the girl getting tossed over the wall like that made her scowl before she jumped up and caught the little girl. Putting the girl down she said" Hey why don't you go on home. I'll check on Zoro for you." The girl nodded into the embrace Niki held her in. After the little girl left Niki lost that kind smile and now a look of murder made it's way into her face.
After the brat who screamed about his daddy left Niki was quick to hop over the wall and make her way to the tied up swordsman" You know I'm not sure whether to be impressed or call you a dumbass for what you're doing. You know that little bastard won't keep his word about releasing you. He will likely draw out your misery for as long as he can then when he gets bored he'll execute you. I admit your will is impressive but I wonder what is stronger? The sword they use to take off your head when you are no longer amusing or a starved, tied up and beaten man? Anyways I hear you are one of the best swordsmen in the East Blue. While that is acknowledged you are weak compared to the swordsman like Tenguyama Hitetsu from the land of Wano in the New World. I can offer to make you much better than you are. My wife and I were trained by Tenguyama and as a result we are very strong. I will come back after you have had some time to think about it. You should know I am the woman who will become the queen of the pirates so when we train, we train to be the best and that means you will be broken again and again and come back stronger each time. As my sensei said years ago." I will train you to be ruthless to your enemies and a leader to your allies. Until we meet again Roronoa Zoro."
Zoro hearing this was forced to think on the opportunity that lay before him. While he couldn't care less about being a pirate and hated by many he also gave an oath that he would take the punishment in exchange for the little girl and her mom. He then noticed the woman walking away and asked" Before you leave, will you pick that up for me?" Niki turned and saw that Zoro was looking at the mud ball that's all it was now and shrugged before picking it up and feeding it to Zoro. He then asked Niki to tell the little girl it was good. Smiling Niki waved over her shoulder.
When Niki walked into the restaurant everything stopped. Niki ignoring everyone except the little girl walked up and said" Zoro said your rice ball was delicious." The little girl cheered before blushing in embarrassment before saying" Sorry you saved me and I didn't even tell you my name. My name is Rika this restaurant is my mom's." Coby then asked" I wonder if Zoro is as bad as everyone says he is." Coby was cut off when Rika exclaimed" He's not. He is nice. He got himself put in that situation because of me. You see it's that dumb Helmeppo's fault. He came in with a wolf that started terrorizing the other customers and when I took a broom to the wolf, he threatened to execute my mom and me. Zoro was tied up and told if he managed to last a month without food he would be freed and mom and me would not be punished. However he keeps beating Zoro while he's tied up. He's being so cruel and if anyone points out his wrongdoings he says he going to tell his father, who is the captain of this base."
Everyone then watched as the person in question walked in with a wolf and two marines. Helmeppo then demanded" Hey woman bring me some food and a bottle of the best sake you have. Make it snappy woman I'm growing bored and people die when I get bored." At this point the people in Niki's group were getting pissed and Niki herself was ready to murder the bastard. To hell with the consequences. She was brought out of her thoughts when Helmeppo spoke again" Man this town really is boring. I guess I could go ahead and execute Zoro. I mean it's not like anyone would miss him." Niki had finally had enough and stood up. When she made it to a laughing Helmeppo, She grabbed him by the face and tossed him with such strength he went through three walls and cratered the fourth wall. She then turned to the wolf and not showing any mercy she picked it up and with a twitch of her hand snapped it's neck. Finally she turned towards the two marines who were horrified and said" Take the idiot and go tell your captain he dies today. Anyone who stands against me will die as well. If need be I will annihilate the base and claim this island as my territory. Now get out of my sight." The marines nodded and took off at surprising speed to get away from a monster. Niki then turned towards Yamato and asked" Yamato-chan do you want to come along or will you stay here?" Yamato shrugged and said" Where you go, I go." Niki pulled Yamato into a kiss before saying" Then let's go end this tyrant." So Niki, Yamato, Nami and Coby left a still shocked restaurant.
Meanwhile Helmeppo was crying as he ran to his father." Daddy someone threw me through three walls and killed my wolf. I want you to execute her immediately. Are you even listening?" The captain didn't even look at his son before saying." Shut your mouth Helmeppo. No one demands anything of me. Now if you're done moaning watch as the man you call father has his statue raised. This statue will announce to those who gaze upon it, that I am in charge." He then looked at his lieutenant and said" Now stand it up in one go." While that was going on on top of the base. The group of four were in front of Zoro.
Niki ripped off the restraints and said" Helmeppo was going to execute you because he was bored. Now you are free, will you join my crew and become the swordsman you have the potential to become." Zoro thought for a second before saying" I'll join your crew. Now what captain?" Niki thought for a moment before she gave an evil smile that made everyone shiver. She then said" I see a ugly statue of the man in charge of this island meaning he has a massive ego. If I were to destroy that statue it will no doubt cause him to go crazy. So I'll be back in a moment, I have a statue to destroy." Niki then flew into the air and upon being right above the statue she yelled gaining everyone's attention" You with the axe for an arm watch this." She blasted white fire at the statue and in a blink the statue was melted and doing a damn good job at pissing off the captain. I want that one alive so I can kill her myself. Everyone else take out the group that's in the yard." Hearing a chorus of" yes sir " The captain leapt at Niki only to get kicked in the face that literally sent him into the dirt. Crawling out of the whole in the ground Morgan looked up and growled when he saw the unimpressed look on Niki's face.
" Is that it? Are you really this wea? How are you a captain? You know what don't answer those questions they don't matter after all rank won't mean anything when I kill you. Now come on and at least try to fight for your life." Morgan jumped again and smirked when he connected a punch but crumpled to the ground when Niki grabbed his hand and crushed it with ease." Really please tell me that wasn't your strongest punch. I let you hit me because I wanted to know how strong you are. Now I'm just disappointed. You know the curse about being the strongest is there's no one who can make you feel alive. The rush of fighting for your life is pure ecstasy. Now let's get back to it." As Niki played with her enemy the beat down of the others marines was already over. Even the ones that were born and raised in the East Blue were all thinking the same thoughts." Are these guys really marines?"
Getting fed up with being toyed with Morgan finally asked" How are you so strong? Why do you a filthy pirate have so much strength?" Niki shrugged before giving a nonchalant response" I had a sensei from hell and I pushed past my limits every time my body was broken. I also have the will to ensure that I achieve what I set out to achieve." Niki then disappeared and when she reappeared Morgan was sent flying. Running up behind him, Niki kicked Morgan into the air before leaping behind him and wrapping him up, she began to spin at an alarming speed. The speed at which Morgan was launched into the ground literally turned him into red paste. Everyone watching paled at the sight before they heard Niki speak" Ok I admit I didn't think I would turn him into paste but in the end he's dead and I did say I would end him. So I'm not a liar."
This of course made everyone sweatdrop at Niki and her nonchalant attitude for the brutality that was just displayed. Niki spoke again" I'm hungry let's go to the restaurant and grab a bite before we head to Orange Town. I have business with Buggy the Clown." Nami and Coby were now scared, despite knowing their was no one in the East Blue who stood a chance against the white haired pirate captain. As they walked Rika came and jumped at Zoro who could only laugh at the little girl and her antics." Your free nii-chan, I'm so happy. Thank you everyone for helping him." Niki and Yamato just smiled and soon everyone was in the restaurant where the people were staring at Niki and Yamato in morbid fascination at the amount that they were eating. Suddenly the door was opened and a marine came in and asked" You are pirates are you not?" Receiving a nod the marine continued" While we appreciate what you've done, this is a marine base and we can't let pirates stay here. So I am going to have to ask you to leave immediately." Ignoring the protest from the townspeople he just waited for a response" Sure that fine. We were leaving anyways." He turned and saw it was the captain who had spoke. As Niki, Yamato, Zoro and Nami were leaving the marine asked" isn't the kid with the pink hair with you?" Niki turned and said" No he was on a passenger ship that attacked by Alvida and her crew. When I killed her and her crew I just grabbed the kid without thinking. I told him once I realized that he was with us that I would leave him at Shells Town. I may be a pirate but I won't ever kidnap someone and force them to join my crew. Goodbye Coby." With that the group went to Niki's ship and soon they were gone.
