After leaving Shells Town Niki and Yamato called Zoro and Nami to start their training. Yamato started" Zoro I'll be training you in swords afterwards you'll work on conditioning. After all everything leads back to the basics. You will train your body Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday you'll work on cardio. Strength means nothing if you lack the stamina for a proper fight. Sunday you will spend with Niki-chan and she will educate you in everything that concerns this world." After Yamato was finished Niki added" Nami your training will be different. I will spend more time teaching you things such as weather in other seas. This is the East Blue and it is called the weakest sea for a reason. I will also teach you about log poses." Seeing the confusion on Nami's face she sighed before pulling out a log pose and said" This is a log pose and it is the only way to navigate the Grand Line. The log pose for the New World is a bit different but that's for later. Now your training will be slightly different. You see Yamato-chan is a swordswoman and has a body that is more focused on strength while I am more focused on agility and speed. Judging by your figure and personality I assume you are like me. Preferring to dance rather than clash. So while my wife trains Zoro in strength and durability, I will train you in agility and speed. You both will be trained in endurance the same way we were trained. You will have the capability to achieve your dreams. Don't misunderstand, your training will be hell but when we are done, you will be among the strongest in the world. Now let's begin."
Yamato took Zoro to the front deck and Nami was led to the back deck where the two learned the true meaning of hellish training. First to start was Zoro.
" Ok Zoro, I first will unlock your haki because you can increase your skills with some haki use. You can use observation haki to increase evasion tactics. While also being able to find enemies even if blinded. If you advance observation haki you can glimpse the future a few moments. You can increase your destructive capabilities with an application armament haki and eventually use armament haki to coat your swords. Watch."
She then took out her blade the Nidai Kitetsu and made Zoro become quite impressed at the blade knowing all about the kitetsu series, as well as when he saw the blade turn black and could feel the power that was now coating the blade. He knew instantly he would favor armament haki. Yamato spoke after seeing the look she got from Zoro." This is just a few of haki's capabilities. Now I am going to unlock your haki so whatever you do don't pass out. If you can try to push back." Before Zoro could ask what she meant he suddenly felt the weight of the world slam against him. He felt powerless and hated that feeling. He thought of his promise to Kuina and fought back unknowingly making Yamato smile when she felt him push against her conquerors haki.
" There you did it Zoro now I will give you an hour to rest before your hell begins." Zoro smirked at the challenge.
Meanwhile Nami was being given the same talk.
" Ok Nami so I'll unlock your haki, I have a feeling you'll be great with observation haki. It allows you to sense other life forms whether that be animal or human or any other type of life. Eventually you will be able to predict enemy attacks. Now there are three forms of haki. The first is observation, next is armament and lastly is conquerors haki. Armament is using your haki to enhance your body and weapons such as coating your staff in armament haki. This will make it near indestructible and increase your destructive capabilities."
She took out her daggers and coated them with armament haki and continued to speak." The last form is all about your will. The stronger your will the more powerful your conquerors haki will be. With conquerors haki you can knock weak willed people out or if your will is strong enough you can cause their hearts to explode. I will teach you about the advanced forms of haki after you get the basics down. Now I am going to use my conquerors haki to awaken your haki. This is the same way my father awakened my haki. Now when you feel a push try to push back. Think of your reason for getting stronger, your goals and aspirations." Niki then became stone cold and all the color left Nami's face.
Nami thought about her mother and the brutal and public execution of her mother. The way he forced her to become his cartographer. She was forced to become a thief to regain her village, even though deep down she knew he wouldn't follow through with his word. With those thoughts in mind she pushed and felt something inside her snap and like Zoro Niki smiled at the push she felt from Nami.
" Good job Nami now take an hour to rest. Your training will begin in an hour. I will go arrange yours and Zoro's studies. After all to be the best you need not just power but knowledge as well."
Leaving Nami to rest Niki went below deck to the library that was next to the laboratory. Entering she started looking through all the books she had gained over the years. She had books and history that surpassed most historian knowledge. She had advanced science and scientific theory and experimentations. Advanced arithmetic and every other type of study to advance one's education. As she set books out for both Nami and Zoro she felt a pair of arms wrap around her before she heard Yamato speak.
" So how did Nami do?"
" She did well. It seems she has conquerors haki. What about Zoro?"
" Well it seems we have great luck. It appears our crew will at the very least have four people able to use conquerors haki. So what all are you planning to teach them?"
" I will focus more on weather and navigating the world with Nami though I do intend to educate her in all aspects of the world. As will I with Zoro. Now Zoro, I will be drilling navigation into his head. I've heard about his terrible habit of getting lost in a straight line. We are pirates and I will not have a liability. Getting lost is a fast way to die. I mean we would have died several times over if we didn't know where we were back in Wano. Though admittedly we wouldn't have found the underground lake if we hadn't gotten lost."
Niki turned around and after finishing setting out the studies for Zoro and Nami was quick to capture her wife's lips.
Two weeks later
Over the two weeks it took to get to Orange Island though admittedly they could have arrived much sooner but Niki decided to take her time to ensure that both Zoro and Nami had the basics down. She had lost count of how many times over those two weeks she and Yamato had been cursed. Though that was to be expected after all the best way to train observation haki is to learn to sense an attack. Meaning every night Zoro and Nami would go to bed with bruises because they failed to dodge the bamboo stick.
Arriving on Orange Island before they even set the anchor a canon ball was fired at them. However Yamato just rose her hand and a wall of water shielded the ship. This caught Zoro and Nami's attention. Zoro shaking out of it first decided to ask" What was that?"
Yamato knowing the question was for her answered" I am a wolf deity. I have been called Hati and my wife has been called Sköll. It refers to the Norse mythological wolves that chase the sun and moon. Niki-chan controls fire and is a sun goddess while I am a wolf deity who controls water and am the moon goddess. The story, Sköll, of old Norse name is a giant wolf and Hati's brother. This beast chases the horses Árvakr and Alsviðr, that drag the chariot which contains the sun through the sky of Midgard, trying to eat it. Sköll would reach Ragnarök and swallow the Sun, who would die in a splendid eclipse. Hati is the giant wolf in constant pursuit of the moon. Like his brother Sköll, he's one of the Managarm wolves. However, Hati is in pursuit of the god Mani (the Moon) whom he will also swallow during Ragnarök. While we are women, the names do not mean to insult us by using a masculine name, but rather is meant to respect our power. Or so that's what Shanks once told us."
Nami stood up and asked in a bit of panic knowing that without the sun and moon all life would cease." Wait if you two are the gods of the moon and the sun, then what will happen when you die? I mean I know what will happened if the sun and moon vanish but are you saying that you have the powers of your respective celestial bodies or are you saying that you merely have abilities that are reminiscent of those celestial bodies. The Sun and Moon are Earth's constant companions. We bask in the Sun's heat and light. It provides Earth's energy, and life could not exist without it. We rely on the Moon to light dark nights and control the tides."
Niki looked at Yamato who just shrugged as if to say " tell them " so that is precisely what Niki did" We are immortal. We literally became the gods of the sun and moon. Didn't you ever wonder why the devil fruit reappear after the wielder dies. It is because, devil fruits will always exist. They control the very aspects of our world and the universe. Though do keep in mind that very few devil fruits have as much potential as the ones we had. I mean most are just an attempt at copying the first devil fruits that were born from the universe rather than the ones that were created long ago by mortals. However unlike every other godlike devil fruit we have a connection with more than just the devil fruit. Well others that have godlike devil fruits Yamato-chan and I no longer have the husk for the devil fruit we gained our abilities from. We instead are connected to the sun and moon respectively. I am not just connected to one sun but every sun in the universe likewise Yamato-chan is connected to every moon. Because of an incident we took the power of our devil fruits away from the fruit. The devil fruit we once had ceased to exist. Though I have been a god since I was two weeks old. While Yamato-chan has been a god since she was six years old."
Zoro and Nami were understandably shocked at the news but showed great control over themselves by not letting the news keep them in a state of shock.
Niki then said something to change the subject" Well we are here and it's time to pay Buggy a visit. Though looking around I may have to put him down."
After activating the ship's defenses the crew of four made their way into the town.
As they walked through the town Niki had to be restrained from running off and ending Buggy and everything he stood for. It was pirates like him that gave pirates a bad name. Ok to be fair there are a lot more pirates like him then there were like her.
Shaking out of her thoughts she saw a dog standing guard in front of a pet food shop. Walking up to the dog Niki knelt down and offered a hand. If she had just reached out and touched him it might have been a bad move considering the poor dog looked like he had been in a fight with a lion.
Once the dog touched her hand with his head she started scratching his ear, this turned the dog into a blissed out mess. Just by looking at the dog you could tell he was in love with Niki's magical scratches. While this was going on an old man walked up and upon seeing the state of the dog decided these people weren't bad. After all dogs are said to be good judges of character.
" Who are you people and why are you here?"
The crew turned and saw an old man with bushy white hair and wearing a leather armor of sorts. He also wore glasses that were slightly cracked.
Yamato decided to answer the question" I am Monkey D. Yamato and these two are Zoro and Nami. Finally the lady who turned the dog into mush is our Captain Monkey D. Niki. We are the White Haired Pirates."
The mayor roared with fury so Niki decided to clarify" We don't harm the innocent. I came here to kill Buggy for bringing shame to the rest of us. That and he really pissed me off with the senseless destruction he has brought to this island. Now I have a question. What's with the dog and why is he injured?"
The old man sighed before he sat down and began to talk." First off I'm the Mayor of this island and my name is Boodle. As for Chouchou he is guarding the shop."
Nami asked" Why though? The shop looks like it's barely standing."
Boodle sighed again but told the story anyways" The shop belonged to an old friend but one day my friend went to the doctors and never came back. I later heard my friend never made it to the doctors office because he was gunned down just outside the doctors office. To add salt to the wound it was Buggy who did it. So I'm forced to watch the man who killed my friend destroy the town we built with our own two hands."
Before anyone could say anything, everyone heard a large animal growl and they turned to see a lion with a man riding on his back. Niki couldn't help but ask" Did I jinx us by thinking if Chouchou had been attacked by a lion?" All she got were shrugs.
They then heard the man speak" Move out of the way. My beloved Richie is hungry." Chouchou stepped in the way and this pissed the man off. Richie went to swipe the dog out of the way but was stopped by another paw. The lion looked up and up and finally locked eyes with a giant wolf. It was a beautiful white wolf. The red horns made it clear that this was Yamato fully transformed. She was at least three times bigger than the lion. She batted the lion away and crouched into a pouncing stance. Richie knowing he was screwed could only try to win to prove his master's superiority.
When Yamato finally pounced she easily cut the man (who's name was Mohji) in half then spun around and bit the lion's throat before she jerked her head and tore out his throat. She quickly transformed back and using her control over water she pulled some water out of the atmosphere to wash her mouth out, not wanting to taste the lion all day long.
She walked back to everyone and Niki said" Good job. Though I already knew that they wouldn't be a problem for you. Well let's go take care of Buggy.
As they were about to leave the old man suddenly started walking with them. Seeing the questioning looks he was getting he answered the unasked question." I'm going with you. The lady just fought for us. What kind of mayor am I, if I don't fight for my village."
Niki sighed and said" Look old man, why don't you go get the villagers and leave this to us. It will be over in less than an hour. Plus Buggy has a devil fruit and a devil fruit versus a untrained civilian is not an even fight. So let us handle this." Receiving a nod the crew of four left to take out the Buggy pirates.
Arriving at a tavern the quartet that was the White Haired pirates could hear the party that was because of the successful creation of a new canon ball that according to what they heard was called the Buggy ball. They all had one thought" Really?" The thought of naming something after you just screamed "arrogant "
Not wanting to listen to the celebration anymore Niki decided to push the clown captains buttons by calling out." Hey big nose, get your ass down here so I can crush that big nose before I rip you to shreds for making Shanks look bad."
Everything stopped at those words. Nami was pale Zoro rose an eyebrow and Yamato just rolled her eyes at the obviously " Niki " stunt. She saw this coming a mile away.
Meanwhile on the tavern roof every pirate was shaking in fear and Buggy was beyond pissed at the words. Then the rest of what he heard finally clicked and he had two thoughts" First how do this person know Shanks and second who the hell has the guts to call me out like this." Standing up he went over to the edge of the building and saw two giants and both he could tell were strong. The question was were they stronger than him?
" Who are you little bastards?"
" It matters very little to you since we intend on killing you."
Buggy looked at the tallest one and saw it was her who spoke. He growled and finally regaining his composure asked" How do you know that bastard Shanks? Why do you care about that bastards name?"
Niki answered" We met Shanks when I was ten years old. As for why I care, it is rather simple. You were both cabin boys on the Oro Jackson under Gol D. Roger." This startled everyone besides Yamato.
Buggy growled before he began his story." We had found a chest with a devil fruit and I heard about how much you could sell a devil fruit for. One day I came up with a plan to steal the fruit and I had already found a man to sell it to. So I started my plan. I got a fruit and made it look like the devil fruit. After I made it look like a perfect copy, I rushed off and proclaimed I would eat the fruit. Several people cheered me on, so I took a bite and gave a pained grimace at the taste. Truly I was a good actor. When I said that I don't feel anything different. One of the men asked if it was a dud. Later that night as I was planning to go sail away and sell the real fruit, I was interrupted by Shanks and in a panic I shoved the fruit in my mouth. Shanks asked what I was doing but I had already gotten pissed at the fact I had just lost something that can cost around 100,000,000 Beri. Then a wind kicked up the map I had found and the map fell into the sea causing me to lose even more Beri. In a panic, I leapt after the map only to find the moment I hit the water I immediately started to sink. Shanks leapt on after me and from that day on I blamed Shanks for losing so much Beri."
Everyone even Buggy's crew stared at the big nose pirate and then the White Haired pirates roared with laughter. Nami decided to speak" Ok wait, wait. So you decided to steal from your own crew then when Shanks startled you, you ate the fruit and then nearly drown but Shanks saves you. So now you hate him for causing you to lose so many Beri. You do realize how big of an idiot you sound like right now, don't you?"
Buggy grit his teeth in anger. He never wanted to realize the truth after all it's easier to blame someone else rather than blaming yourself.
Niki spoke up" Well you don't have to worry anymore about the shame you feel because today you and all of your crew will die. I did promise to kill you, and I never break a promise. Nami I think the grunts would be a good test for you." She turned to Zoro and said" The acrobatic idiot who called himself a swordsman is yours."
Buggy said before a battle could start" Fire the Buggy ball."
Niki stepped up and blasted the ball with white fire melting it before it could explode then blasted her flames at the tavern reducing the building to ash. Though the Buggy pirates were not harmed. After all it wouldn't help Nami if Niki killed her training dummies.
Nami stepped up and took a stance to prepare for battle. A man as if to announce the start of the battle charges at Nami who started to use observation haki to doge, twist and flip out of the way before she thrust her staff forward and pierced the man's brain via eye socket. Her stomach churned at the death after all she had never killed anyone before. However she knew the battle just started so she had to keep focused.
Pulling her staff from the dead man she managed to block a swing from another grunt before she lashed out a kick since she was still blocking the sword. The man flew back the last thing he saw before flying away was her leg turned black as if coated by metal.
Nami then ducked under a swipe from an axe before turning and piercing a man's stomach by shoving her staff through a small hole in the leather armor.
Nami ripped the staff out of the man's stomach before coating her arm in armament haki to block another sword that snapped on the impact with the armor covered arm.
Meanwhile as everyone watched the battle Yamato spoke." Nami is doing quite well considering she has only been training in haki for two weeks."
Niki nodded at her wife's statement before adding" True enough but she is a rather quick study. This will be quite beneficial in the long run."
Back with Nami she had just crushed a man's skull and finally the battle had ended and Nami finally took notice of the dozen dead men scattered around her and she quickly rushed off to the side to empty her stomach.
Zoro stepped up and the acrobatic swordsman who was riding a unicycle. He introduced himself" My name is Cabaji. I have heard a lot about you Roronoa Zoro. I have decided your fame irritates me so I will show the East Blue that you are pathetic."
Zoro scoffed and replied" I never asked for fame. It's just how I make a living nothing more. Now enough talking."
Zoro took out his favorite sword the Wado Ichimonji and placed it in his mouth while he drew two other no named swords. Cabaji just pulled the rather large sword off his back and the fight started.
Cabaji started by throwing several dozen spinning tops that rushed at Zoro which Zoro simply swung his blades at the tops and a couple blades of distorted air ripped through the tops and forced Cabaji to doge but he still got cut slightly.
Cabaji then moved his scarf and a fireball was released at Zoro who dodged before rushing at Cabaji and sliced up his unicycle then followed up by slicing Cabaji's sword. Finally he stabbed one blade into Cabaji's chest then the other into Cabaji's brain, followed by turning his head and slashing Cabaji's throat.
Buggy was pissed and very nervous. If the two shorter White Haired pirates were this strong and clearly had only been training for a little while he was more than a bit terrified at the thought of how strong the two giants were.
Niki walked up and said" Now it's your turn to die Buggy I plan on ripping you in half to further humiliate you. After all a man who is separation proof dying by someone who separated his left side from his right. Wouldn't that be the ultimate humiliation."
Buggy growled before laughing hoping to give him enough time to let's his blades that were in his separated hands.
Niki sensed the knives and promptly blasted them with flames before saying." Really Buggy? A sneak attack, are you that pathetic?"
Buggy had just barely managed to pull his hands back while his knives were melted. Buggy now realized he was fucked. It seems that this woman was a logia, based on the flames.
As Buggy was in his thoughts Niki spoke to her crew" Go raid his ship and be sure to leave something for the villagers. Take anything of value or use. Yamato-chan just like we did with Ace and Sabo all those years ago."
Receiving nods from the three she refocused on Buggy who was still in his thoughts.
Niki walked up and grabbed Buggy by the face before her hands turned black and simply said" Goodbye Buggy the clown." With that said she plunged her fingers into his eye and literally ripped Buggy in half. Keeping true to her words.
Meanwhile the rest of her crew had arrived just in time to witness the brutal death while the villagers had also seen what happened.
Niki was quick to burn all the bodies. Not wanting to expose the villagers to the brutality of the battle.
She decided to speak" You are free. My crew and I have dealt with the enemy. We took our payment from the pirates and we left you a fair amount to rebuild. I hope your village is quick to recover."
Boodle stepped up and bowed to the crew and said" Thank you so much for freeing us from Buggy. I want to also thank you for avenging my friend that was murdered by Buggy. We will always remember what you have done for us."
The White Haired pirates excepted the gratitude before they Niki and her crew left the village.
As they left Niki decided to announce where they were heading next." We will be going to Syrup village. Yamato-chan, you remember Yasupp once told us that he had a son in that village. If we are lucky he will be a gunman just like his father."
Yamato nodded and then the crew made their way to Syrup village.
