"Jayden! It's awful, Chazz is gone!" Syrus came running into the class.
"And that's awful how?" Jayden asked, Syrus rubbed his head, "I don't know, isn't Chazz your big duelling rival?"
"You are right, I need my competition, let's go Sy," Just as he stood up, Chazz's former lackeys spoke up, "He lost to team mustard and ketchup, he doesn't deserve to be Obelisk anyway."
"Jeez if all I had were friends like this I would run away too, Let's go Sy," With that off the two ran and I got elbowed by my partner which I caught.
"Where?" She asked me, her hand gripping the pencil, I rubbed my sides, this bitch, "It's not military intelligence okay? It is delayed by a day or two unless I am specifically looking at it. It involves me dragging cards to the well."
She shook her head as she stood up and dragged me as well, "We are helping them aren't we?" I asked with a morose hope that we were not. She shattered it with the words, "We are."

"You know I always wondered where that hole was connected to. Now I know, the boy's bathroom," I commented as Jayden and Syrus popped out from it.
"Oh hey, Mira, Alexis and you two," I giggled as he pulled a 'me' and forgot the two names of the lackeys. I just pointed at the black bun one and said, "Boy crazy," and then at the other one with the rust-coloured hair, "Romance crazy."
"There's a difference?" Syrus asked and I nodded, "In about ten years you will be called homophobic for that and as for the real answer, the Boy crazy one just wants a boy and the Romance crazy one wants a boy to sweep her off her feet."
Alexis for one just shook her head, "Mira's…existence aside, we are here to help find Chazz," Yeah totally.
"Oh sweet, let's go!" I gave him a deadpan stare and said, "To the rejection well, I have [Aitsu]'s card on me, and others are hidden around the island. When we get there we can ask [Aitsu] to ask others…Jayden you can just talk to him right now, can't you?" I feel like strangling him, while we mortals have to work, Mr Supreme King here can just command. Fuck's sake.
"Oh, he left? What? To find his path?" Jayden talked to invisible air and then turned to us to open his mouth, "Yes we got that Jayden."
"Oh sweet…so what do we do now? We already snuck out of class," I shrugged, "Beats me and by the way keep this," I handed him the [Aitsu] card.
"Why?" Jayden was confused by my action, but I pushed it to him nonetheless, "Because it will be more effective since you can talk to them without the well."
"Oh, that makes sense," He nodded and folded the card into his Jacket, "Hey! [Aitsu] tells me that some scientists are catching a duelling monkey called Wheeler and he's gotta family. We gotta help him!"
"Wheeler as in Joey Wheeler?" I laughed aloud at that, "Man, I strive to be even half as petty as Kaiba!"
I did not get smiles but rather serious glares, "Oh please, he said duelling monkey, it has to be bulls…oh you're serious aren't you?"
"Yeah, Mira and we need to help…" A monkey jumped out of the forest and jumped towards me, likely planning on grabbing and running.
Its arms spread wide and it was already turning around as it landed on me, luckily, I had prepared for his exact eventuality—well, kidnapping not this—and I pulled out my taser wedged against my stockings and jammed them into the monkey before it could figure out what those three teeth biting into his flesh were, I pressed the big red button.
Cats go "Mew," Cows go "Moo," and a monkey with a taser jammed into it goes, "Ohoho." Before it drops unconscious, that is, on top of me.
Rough fur and painfully heavy with bits of sci-fi strapped on top that's what the fella was but at least I didn't get any saliva on me. I counted my blessings as I pushed my kidnapper off of me.
"Damn that could have gone better," I said as I patted any accumulated dust off of me.
"Mira! Are you okay?" Alexis immediately rushed to me and hugged me.
"Mira, you have a taser?" Midget asked as I and Alexis shared the hug which would later spawn a gay fanfic about the forbidden love between me and her, with a synopsis like, 'Mira was almost abducted, but even now when she was safe in her arms. Alexis' heart knew no calm.'
"Of course I do Syrus," I said as Alexis buried her head into my shoulder. Oh, Alexis, don't give those writers more fodder. I patted her head with one hand and patted her back with the other.
"Sorry Mira," She said as she pulled herself from me, "I was…I was just reminded about what happened with Titan," Oh she is traumatised? Now how do I use that?
"Hey! That's our monkey!" A short scientist-looking manlet shouted from a distance.
"Not a chance," Jayden shouted.

"Man, I can't believe everyone left for winter break," Jayden said as he and Syrus duelled in the Slifer cafeteria.
"Everyone does Jayden, you three Slifer slackers are the weird ones," I said to the three and then turned towards my partner, "And you too Alexis. I have been meaning to ask you this but, why are you here?"
"It might have something to do with the fact that my mom told me to bring you or not come at all!" She smashed her head into my back with enough force that it hurt.
"Ouch! Who told you to tell aunty about me, you imbecile?" I retorted with a physical jab from my elbow.
"You already know I tell her everything," She said holding her side, "And when I told her I have a poor orphan friend who will be spending her entire break here guess what she told me?"
"Fine! Fine! But you can't fault me on this, I am staying here to research not play," I said as I shifted away from her.
As we were fighting, the wooden door cracked open, and through the flying paper and wood came a kid dressed in obelisk blue.
"Ugh, Ugh," He lay on the floor barely moving. Jayden moved over to him and quickly picked him up. He was as pale as milk, his body slightly quivering at Jayden's touch. "Bro, you look like you have seen a Ghost."
"Jinzo…"

The central power station for the island, we were all there, Me, Alexis, Jayden, Baner and the two irrelevant Slifers. And the boy Tori, one of the summoners.
I knew what was coming, so I wasn't too worried. And when I saw the beautiful flakes of snow shimmer down onto us like heaven's icing, I could not resist trying to catch a flake with my tongue.
Well as a little flake shimmered down onto the tip of my tongue I could not help the feeling of elation creeping up my spine. It was like pixie dust and like all things magical soon the magic was broken as current blistered and blared from the power stations.
A translucent Jinzo started forming.
"Professor, why is this happening?" Syrus asked and to the credit of the man's remarkable acting talent he trembled, "He is using the electricity to power himself."
"I see that you have bought the offering, Good I will do my best to fulfil your wishes after your death," The thing spoke and Jayden stepped up, "He's not an offering Jinzo! You will have to go over my dead body for that."
They made a wish? Did they ask for immortality? Or power? Or for the revival of a loved one? I wanted to know if those things were possible.
"Gladly," I interrupted the two, "What was the wish?"
He stopped, considered and then decided to speak. I was excited, this was the stuff of fairy tales. Yes! Go on!
"To make a Girl names Mira Heylel fall in love with them," All the excitement drained away in an instant, my hand reached for Jayden's shoulder and I yanked him back, "Fuck off Jayden, this is my duel. First I will kill this freak and then those three freaks who summoned him."
"Eh!" Tori jumped from behind me, I turned to him, "After this, you are a dead mother fucker."
"No, it's dangerous Mira," Jayden screeched but Alexis' hand stopped him, "When she is pissed you best give her way Jayden."
"You are Mira Heylel? That makes this simple girl after you lose I will turn you into a mindless puppet."
"Oh, we will see about that. We fucking will. You first."
I heard a familiar roar from my deck and I agreed I was going to go full tilt. And conditions. Right.
"Right, conditions. You win, you get my life energy and my body. I win? I'll get them back… and I get your card?"
"Very well, this limbo should sustain me long enough."

In front of him, vague outlines of cards started appearing.
And when I saw my hand, I knew this was an FTK. [Chaos Dragon Emperor, [Graceful Charity, [Manju, [Mystic Tomato, [Monster Reborn].
"I summon [Malice Doll of Demise(1600 atk)] in attack mode, then I play [Ectoplasmer] by doing so I can tribute [Malice Doll] and deal half its attack points in damage."
The doll was ripped apart as a ghost rose from the corpse and shot at me. When it hit, I looked down and an ankle was missing along with a groan of pain that I bit the fuck back down.
Mira-4000-800=3200
"Oh no! She is already behind," Syrus screeched and I shouted, "Shut the fuck up."
"Are you done Tin-Can?"
"For now and I will have you know, I am not just a Robot but an accomplished field surgeon turned trap clearer."
"Who cares, Draw!" I did not even look at the draw, "This duel is over. I play [Graceful Charity]. I draw three and send two to the grave," Again I did not look at the draws, "I send [Manju] and [Sangan] to the grave."
"Oh! She is going for it. This will be so awesome if she pulls it off!" Jayden cheered to a much sceptical banner, oh shit he was here, fuck. But it was not like I could stop. If I did, I was waging my life here, I would be fucked, right? Stupid emotions! Fuck.
"I then banish [Manju] a light monster and [Sangan] a dark monster to summon, [Chaos Emperor Dragon]."
He roared into life as all the electricity around us ripped and tore itself and Jinzo's eyes widened, "Ah, I have lost haven't I?" He said immediately, "Go ahead girl, Mira, finish it. I would gladly come under the service of one who commands [Chaos Emperor]."
"You would?" I asked and he nodded, "I have done worse. A certain wielder of [Red eyes] comes to mind." Joey? Huh.
"I pay 1000 life points to active [Chaos Emperor]'s effect." And as I said my torso vanished and a blood-curdling pain ripped it from me. But fuck me if I ever let a feeling like physical pain make me scream.
"Strong," Jinzo complimented as all cards on the field and in our hand flew to the grave. And Jinzo had five since [Ectoplasmer] was a field spell card.
"Now you take 5x300=1500 points of damage."
A void gathered over [Chaos]' head and it flew straight through Jinzo, gutting him.
Jinzo-4000-1500=2500
"[Chaos]' finish him. The ultimate end, void annihilation."
The Emperor roared as a concentrated pure dread gathered in its jaws, this was the end.
It disintegrated not just Jinzo but the fence and the mud beneath Jinzo as well

And as my duel disk was undeployed and a card of [Jinzo] appeared in my hand I realised that the damage did not go away as it did with holograms. The ground was just gone from there. At least when I looked down my complete body was there.
Tori's two buddies appeared in the place Jinzo stood but fell about two feet when gravity started working again.
I turned to the third one, "Tori if I ever see or hear that you talked about this? Then see this?" I showed him [Jinzo]'s card, "I always have the option to let him loose."
He nodded desperately as he circled us and ran to the bodies of his two buddies.
"Thank god, for a moment there I thought we would have to take care of three bodies," Banner joked as he scratched his fat cat's head.
"Jesus girl, I know not to ever objectify you," Jayden pitched in with his levity, "Between the tasers and the hardcore duelling skills…"
I shook my head, "You guys can objectify me all you want, I don't give two shits, but the fact that those three idiots had a scenario straight out of fiction and what did they ask for? A fuck hole. God damn it. Do you know why I was pissed? When I was little I always wished for a fair to come and solve all my problems, for someone to get me a damn wish. And what do these three fuckcers ask for? For me to fall in love with the three of them. What were they thinking? For me to open a reverse harem in school? Mother fuckers. Let me guarantee you Immortality, power, and shit like that did not even cross their minds."
"Even if it did my lady, other than the Gods, perhaps no one can grant that," A voice spoke to me and I jumped.
"What happened?" Jayden asked and I paused.
In the anime, Jayden saw the [Winged Bitchball] properly only after his first shadow duel, perhaps that's how this works?
"Jinzo," I pulled up his card, "Was that you?"
"Yes, my lady. Are you perhaps unaware of why you can hear me?" I nodded, "It is because when you made me your servant I was bound to your will, so I can." So I was wrong about my theory of shadow duelvictory=profit? Huh. More research it is then.
"Mira, did you just talk to Jinzo?" Banner asked and I nodded, "This is incredible. Marvellous. Can you hear anything else?"
"No, I can only hear Jinzo cuz I enslaved him. You know I asked for his card," A look of realisation dawned on the rest.
Alexis looked incredibly worried and asked, "Don't worry Mira, we will find a way to undo it, I know it must feel terrible to do that."
Oh, fuck off you blonde bitch.
"...He says he wants to stay."
"What?" Alexis looks stunned.
"He wants to serve the one who commands [Chaos Emperor] so I am letting him," I shrugged.

Me keeping Jinzo around and enslaved had put this idea in her head that I was at constant risk of something and having seen me being cut apart in the shadows had activated a very strong instinct of being my mother into her.
But what I was not expecting was the 'hottest boyfriend material' around to save the two of 'us.' As if I was in any danger.
"So like he is Harrington Rosewood and Rosewood as In Rookwood sporting goods they have stores everywhere and he is a third-year Obelisk," The 'boy crazy' said. And the 'romance crazy' agreed.
Alexis on the other hand had an irritated face as she sat next to me, "Are you two listening?"
I nodded, "I am, I just don't know why I should?"
Alexis silently agreed and dragged the three of us out of the locker room, there we were greeted by Bastion, who gave us one look and said, "Heard you three were in an accident, so came to check, no point it seems."
I nodded, "Some guy named Harrier Mark 3. Super…" I was cut off by 'boy crazy'—the little bitch—who intercepted my words, "Harrington Rosewood. Why don't you and Alexis understand? He is older than us, rich and handsome, and in Obelisk blue! What more can you want in a boyfriend!?"
She had been annoying me long enough, "Counterpoints dipped in narcissism: I am young, with a height and figure supermodels would kill for. I have voting stocks in Kaiba Corp as my full inheritance, so when I become eighteen I am going to be swimming in money, and I can count on one hand the students that are an actual challenge in a duel. Are we done?"
"Wow, now that you say it, yeah. If this is your body now, men will be drooling in three years," Boy crazy agreed.
"Yeah, you would have CEOs fighting for your attention, at parties," I could see the jealousy burn bright in their eyes as they understood something, I wanted to shut them up permanently, "I can realise any fantasy that you two can only dream of. Not that I would, of course."
"I think we will be back soon," 'Boy Crazy' said as she dragged the other away.
Alexis shook her head at my display, "I know they were asking for it, but you should not have hit them this hard."
"I was trying Alexis, my face practically gave off the 'not interested' vibe for the last hour. I gave so many clues for them to fuck off, I am not you. I don't have infinite patience with them," I said as I pressed my foot down, cracking a bone with a satisfying sound.
"What was that bit about Kaiba Corp?" Bastion asked his eyes shifting away from my body, perhaps my comments had made him conscious of me. Meh.
"It's what my parents left me, a very small number of voting shares in KC, and while I am a minor I am getting a trickle of the dividends each month, and you know how expensive KC stock is," As for where they got it? Well, we will have to find that out.
"Hey! Alexis! Mira! Bastion!" We shifted our attention to Syrus Tdale, who had come running down the hallway, "Where's the tennis team?"
"In the court, why would you want to know?" Alexis asked but her eyes were on me, we were probably not finished with this whole 'showing-them-reality,' bit.
"Crowler has assigned the Captain to train Jayden and it's terrible!" He said turning and running.
Sensing an escape from mama bird I chirped, "Why's that?"
"He's the one who hit Crowler, not Jayden!" And he was gone around the corner.
Alexis palmed her head, "We gotta get Jayden out of this mess, yeah we nearly got hit because of it but he should not get punished for an accident."
"And how do we do that?" I asked a bit dismissively, she removed her hands, "Any ideas?" She asked.
"Well, since it's the good Doctor who punished Jayden, we aren't talking him out of the punishment," I put my finger on my chin, "Well we could just use our charm to get him out."
"Our…charm?" The dumb mama bird chirped in confusion towards her charge i.e me.
"We are two of the prettiest girls on campus, I am sure some testosterone-fueled monkey would let our friend go to help us with our decks if we ask nicely and tell Crowler about it," Her mouth looked like you could fit an egg through it, I giggled and asked, "So?"
She sighed, "That's the first thing that comes to your mind? To seduce our way out of the problem?"
"Can you think of a better way?" I leaned in and asked her with upturned eyes, she suckled a deep breath, "No-no! God damn it, Mira, those puppy eyes are not allowed!" She pushed me away, hah like all girls she was weak to cute things.
"And here I thought you had a leash on her but she has you wrapped around her finger," Bastion commented while turning away from us, I could see a hue of red on his cheeks. Hehe.

"An accident—Accident?" Harrington struggled with his words as I gave him my most innocent smile, "I see that's…that's most terrible. Like a foul."
"Yeah, and you saved me and Alexis from the ball but it racked off to hit Doctor Crowler, see? It's all a terrible accident. And you were so brave too," He scratched his nose with a red blush on his face. And he was supposed to be experienced with girls?
Also, why was I doing all the work? Why was Alexis just standing to the side and talking to Jayden? Bitch.
"And you know, how Crowler is, he is so against Slifers so he won't let this punishment go even though it was not Jayden who hit Crowler," I shook my head, "But senior you can't let this injustice happen now can we?" He nodded with an iron conviction, "You are right as your senior I can't let this happen, but Crowler…"
"Oh don't worry about that. Just let Jayden go and if Crowler ever asks? You made Jayden sweet tears of blood," He smiled, "Absolutely!"
"Thank you," I waved at him and started running out of the stadium, before turning to the Captain again, "You are an amazing guy Senior Harrington! I am sure the girls must love you!"
"Oh, they do! Thank you, Mira." I giggled like a lovestruck girl and walked out.
"Well would you look at that, actress of the year," Alexis sneered as soon as I stepped out of the court, she was with Jayden and Bastion, oh, and Syrus too.
"Yes yes, now where is my signing bonus?" I asked with a matching sneer.
Jayden for his part scratched his head, "Thank you, Mira, you played them like you would a card in a duel."
"Jesus fucking christ, you make me sound like a terrible human being even when I helped you!" I shook my head, "Let's go. I need a shower after acting cute for those bozos."
Alexis fell in step with me, "You are a terrible human being. But at least you are ours."
