Commissioner Gordon slowly sat up. His body ached and he felt his head throb. He reached up, touching the bloodied wound. His eyes traversing over the scabbed bits in his hand.
It was an old room. The bed he laid on smelled undisturbed at least for a long while. The dresser was caked in dust. Along with a bookcase and desk.
A couple of papers lay on the floor and a jewelry box was tucked under the dresser sloppily. Not much else lay in the room besides a trunk at the end of the bed.
Gordon carefully got up and stepped over the papers nervously. He delicately opened the book on the dresser, pulling his sleeve up to not inhale the dust.
The pages were written by a feathered pen. It was obvious how some of the ink splintered off.
Gordon read the pages and rubbed his finger over some of the words. His eyes never leave the book. It took a minute before he finally broke interest and shut the book.
He gingerly walked over to the dresser and pried it open swatting away dust as it blew up into his face. A small cough as he tried to peer back down.
He blinked surprised to find a singular outfit tucked inside. His clothes were torn from the rough road trip. His horses' feet clopping and breath heaving etched into his mind.
He still has yet to remember how he ended up here or even injured. He carefully changed into the new wear and set his clothes on a chair.
Gordon shifted the shirt and tucked it into his pants. His eyes lifting up as he heard something creek. He quickly turned to see nothing but a door.
He dug into his jacket and tucked something into the pants, hooking it onto the hem. He also grabbed a vile of liquid hiding it in his pocket.
It disturbed Gordon that his bag was missing. However he knew he'd need to find it soon in order to leave. So he began to approach the door grabbing a candle holder on his way over.
Gordon twisted the knob, eyes calculating as he shoved it open ready to hit something. He froze, finding a candle lit corridor with nothing except a table or 2 by the windows.
Next to the door was a chair with food and water. A first aid kit as well. It startled Gordon but he nervously set the candle holder down and picked up the tray of assortments.
Gordon looked around before carefully shutting the door behind himself. He examined the med kit and food before trying it out.
He was pleased to find it wasn't tainted. So he used the med kit to clean up his wounds and wrap himself up. All while a pair of eyes watched Gordon cleanse his wounds.
Gordon set the dirty cloth aside and began to eat. His stomach ached like he hadn't eaten in days, which is sometimes the case for him.
So he was familiar with the bubbles of hunger. He drank the water slowly savoring it and pulling his feet up onto the chair as he tried to think.
He remembered waking up in that graveyard with a hangover. The mayor asking him for a favor seeing as they had a monster problem… He remembered finding their hideout….
Then he remembered running away on his horse..
Did he kill them?
It's all a blur.
His bag had been with him though. He remembered using Vodka on a wound mid ride…
So where was it now?
Gordon had so many questions as he held his head. His ears flattening in response to the pain. His partner went back home so he didn't have anyone to bounce his memories off of.
Even so, how did he end up here?
Gordon was tired of being confused and swallowed the last lump of food. His back slumped against the chair as he tried his best to recall why he might be there.
As he stared at the ceiling he felt sleepy.
So before he could pass out he snagged the water and downed the rest of it.
Not wanting to waste it.
So he carefully set the tray back outside the door, keeping the medkit for himself since he didn't know if he'd need to rebandage. Turning towards the bed he'd never felt so comforted by the sight.
He felt nervous as he pondered if someone was watching him or even in the building with him.
Someone had to have put the tray outside his door. He's just hoping they don't intend to sell him or something. It was a headache just trying to remember what happened yesterday…. Or… how long had he been sleeping for?
Fuck it. He was too tired to think now. It was nice and warm.
He'd thank his host later if they proved not to have ill intent towards him.
Gordon had woken up to the sound of a door shutting. His ears twitching as he lifted his head up and turned towards the door. The light from a lit candle made him squint as he sat up to check the door.
The drift of snow outside the windows provides Gordon with some estimate of time since last he knew it had been the late months of fall.
Which means he'd have to have been sleeping for 2 weeks or more.
He carefully stepped over the loose papers again and tried the handle to the door. He opened it and peered out to see the candle lit corridor again. This time however there was a couple extra candles strewn about the floor. Gordon grabbed the Med kit and carefully crept out of the door.
The chair was still there with a new tray. Gordon took a bread roll and snuck around the corridor. Trying every door with no luck. He peered out of the corridor into a massive hall, finding a grand entrance hall. With seats and decorative tables.
The Hall however was dark and quiet. Gordon could see his breath in the cold distilled air. He heard walking and hid, grabbing a fire poker. Unsure who was walking around this place. If it was his host or maybe some servant of theirs.
Gordon peered around the column to see a butler. He was carrying towels from the upper floor down towards a random room that he unlocked, disappearing from Gordon's view.
Gordon put the fire poker back and booked it back to the room. His feet only make a sound every other bounding step.
He slid into the room and hid peeking out seeing nothing but a couple of the candles disturbed by his rush to the room.
Gordon looked down at the food tray and carefully took it into the room before shutting the door. He ate and drank and checked his wounds, repatching them and trying his best not to hiss in pain as he added a small bit of antiseptic to it.
Gordon sighed rebandaging when he heard something outside the door. He froze and turned to see a shadow under the door.
Gordon hid and pressed himself behind the dresser holding his breath as he pulled out his revolver he'd hidden in his pants. He peered out and watched the door open.
The butler walked in and looked around, beginning to panic and he ran off shouting something Gordon couldn't make out once the door shut fully.
Gordon sighed and tried to slip back out and froze as the Dresser didn't shift off of him. He squirmed and tugged. His breath caught in his throat as he pressed his shoulder against the dresser in a desperate attempt to get out from behind it.
Gordon's eyes widened as he was pressed against the wall and he cursed his dumb luck.
He thumped his head against the wall and flinched as a picture frame came off the wall next to him.
Gordon shifted and looked down to see a family photo of some mice and he sighed. He tried to wiggle out and placed his foot forwards however his knee knocked into some of the glass. Cutting through the fabric and into his exposed leg.
He yelped and slid down behind the dresser. Holding his leg and nervously pulling the piece of glass out. Blood seeped up and out of his new wound and he cursed being stuck behind the furniture.
However in an instant Gordon's fur stood on end as he felt something in the air shift.
He felt the dresser suddenly pull away and he was lifted up. He gasped and pointed his gun up only to have it slapped away.
Gordon struggled in the stranger's grip as he was pinned down to the bed and his knee was lifted up.
"S...Stop it!" He cried as he was roughly handled. His free leg swung violently to escape.
Gordon felt the stranger's mouth latch onto his knee and he gasped, eyes widening as his leg kicked upwards into their maw and he felt their tongue lap at the wound.
It felt too intimate for Gordon's comfort and he began to struggle again as they lifted their head off the wound revealing… the wound was gone.
Gordon grunted as they shifted him onto his stomach.
"L..Let go of me!" Gordon said, squirming all over again as they tugged his shirt up. Gordon felt fear spike through him now. He yiped as cold fingers dragged over his birthmark. They're lips brushing over it afterwards.
"H..Hey!" Gordon gasped as he felt overwhelmingly warm. His cheeks burned as he tried to get them off.
"It really is you, Van Helsing."
They softly reply.
Gordon shifted to look back at them and froze, seeing a Cat looming over him.
"Wh...Who are you!?" Gordon shouted trying to kick back at them. They used their free hand to grip his ankle and he felt powerless as they leaned in. Breathing incredibly close.
Gordon shuddered as those piercing red's circled over him. Something felt like it was clicking into place slowly. It licked Gordon's insides like fire.
He'd always felt weightless but something seemed to solidify in his chest.
"I don't think I'd be ashamed to claim this one." Was the soft whisper Gordon heard. He froze as he was flipped around and given a full view of the cat above him.
The 2 sat staring for what felt like a minute. Gordon felt a burning need. He just couldn't place it as they traced his cheek with their free hand.
Gordon flustered as they leaned in and his eyes flickered around and back nervously. They lifted Gordon's head up a tiny bit, their faces a breath away. When Gordon successfully slipped one of his hands free.
He grabbed the closest candle holder and smashed it into their face. Startling them, Gordon made his escape. He ran picking up his gun and sprinting down the corridor. His breath slowly became visible as he reached the grand entrance.
A couple of maid's or butlers tried to stop him as he shoved open the heavy set doors and ran into… A hedge maze!
His feet carrying him around corners and further into dead ends and loops of confusion. The snow was thick and cold on his bare feet as he tried his best to navigate out.
Gordon heard people calling out and even heard them come close; however he just dove into some of the hedges to escape. His ears stung from the cold wind as he panted. Escaping a few more servants before he found himself smack dab in the middle of the maze. Gordon's eyes were glassy as he looked around for a place to hide.
He took notice of a large empty stone encasing, before ducking into it and tugging the lid up a bit to hide him better. His breaths still came short as he tried to quiet himself.
It didn't take long before he heard them close in and he shut his eyes covering his mouth in an attempt to hide his breathing.
The snow still falling hid his tracks well. Gordon was thankful for that at least; however once he heard them leave he didn't know what to do. He was stuck in god knows where with a vampire and his servants.
He didn't know the way out of the maze and he was terrified to try and leave the box he'd tucked himself in.
His eyes had started growing accustomed to the dark and he slowly noticed his hand was against something. He turned and gasped pulling his hand away from a skeleton. It looked ancient.
He shoved the lid aside, climbing out feeling sick. He flinched as the lid shattered and he hoped no one heard it. But just to be safe he scrambled away and went a bit further into the maze.
The midnight air welcomed him uncomfortably. Gordon knew these people probably wanted something from him. Now he was certain it was his blood.
He grasped numb fingers around his cross chain. Feeling the chilling metal against his palm.
He found a nice hiding spot under some overgrown hedge and curled up there trying to keep himself warm as the night bore on.
Gordon felt his temperature plummet and began to regret waking up.
Something about it all made his stomach churn and he really just wanted to sleep.
However he knew once he did he might not be able to wake up again. So he tried his best to stave off sleep by checking his gun or warming himself up.
After cramping up 3 or 5 times, Gordon finally climbed out of the hedge stretching his sore limbs.
Gordon dusted himself off and turned to find himself face to chest with the cat he'd been avoiding.
He gasped backing away from the vampire only for them to swipe him up into their arms.
"No no! Put me down, I'm not something to claim!" Gordon shouted and swung his feet. He didn't like the looks of this, but the warmth made his body feel fuzzy seeing as he'd started to shiver.
"You'll die out here!" The cat finally snapped at him and Gordon glared up at them.
"I'll die in there too! No thanks to you!" Gordon exclaimed as he tried with all his might to squirm harder.
"What makes you think that I'd kill you?" They chuckled deeply. It sent chills through Gordon but he didn't understand it.
"Your going to drain me of my blood just like every vampire wants!" Gordon accused pulling out a vile of holy water and tossing it down at the cat's feet. However… it seems to have frozen over without Gordon's knowledge.
He gasped as his gun was taken and he tried his best to grab it back.
"Stop being foolish, I will do no such thing!" The cat said as Gordon yanked on his shoulders and arm.
"Why should I…. AH… Believe you!" Gordon yelped out and flushed as he was hoisted up more.
"Because you've been here for 3 weeks and I've done nothing even remotely cruel or devious to you!" The cat shouted and Gordon finally broke loose falling backwards into a pile of snow.
He gasped and looked up surprised by the amount of time he'd been unconscious.
"I...I've been here for… 3 weeks…" Gordon muttered, feeling his heart sink. He'd been gone longer than he thought.
"We found you and your horse. You were both practically dead had we'd of left you." The cat said, reaching down to help Gordon up.
Said rabbit nervously accepted the help and stumbled forwards. "Th...Then why did you attack me!?" Gordon shouted, flustered remembering the close bite attempt.
"I was healing you for 1 and 2 you got yourself stuck behind the dresser!" The cat argued, making Gordon stutter in embarrassment. "I...Didn't think I'd get stuck!" Gordon said defensively.
"Plus you said something about claiming this one after finding out I was a Van Helsing!" Gordon stomps his foot and glares daggers at the cat.
"Have you never been told of the Van Helsing pact?!" The cat shouted back and Gordon glared. "NO!" He shouted startling the cat.
"Why wouldn't your parents tell you about it, it's cursed yours and all vampire bloodlines for millennia!?" They stated startling Gordon back a step.
"I...I never knew my…. Parents…" Gordon said a lot softer now. The tone startled the cat and the 2 sat in silence for a minute. The male handing Gordon back his gun and sighing.
"That explains why you're so reckless and different." They mutter before leaning down. Gordon went to spit an insult when their lips connected. Gordon's eyes widened in shock as Dragul pulled him closer.
N..No this wasn't right… it can't be… Gordon was certain it wasn't right. However the warm feeling didn't fade, it just lit that fire he'd tried to ignore. As he nervously placed his hands on their shoulders.
It took a second as Gordon processed what was happening before the warm lips shifted into a deeper kiss.
Gordon's eyes fluttered. He was yet again stung with confusion as he slowly melted into the strange cat and the kiss was slowly returned. A fire licked it's way across Gordon's skin and he was pretty sure this guy felt it since he slowly shoved Gordon to the ground and began to ravish him.
Gordon's eyes fluttered as he was kissed, bit, hickeyed, and groped. All as he tried to gather his senses again. Before long he couldn't even gain a semblance of thought as his body rocked with this vampires… back and forth.
Leaving Gordon in a haze as he clung to the other and moaned for them in a way only a lover could. It was so intimate.. It was so wrong. Why did Gordon struggle to care though?
Why was this stanger laying claim to his body, mind and soul like this?
Why…?
Was all he could think as they both howled for each other out in the snow.
The warmth never left Gordon as he, his clothes and gun were lifted up into the vampire's chest and they were walked back into the castle. Tired from being marked and loved in the cold.
He heard voices but didn't care to listen as he nodded off unaware of what had just been done to him fully.
As the vampire lay with him, back in his room. Away from the cold.
"I never thought I'd feel so full." The vampire shuddered as he rubbed Gordon's hip and decided to clean them both up before calling it a night with the hunter, nice and comfortable.
_A month's time skip_
Gordon stared out the window while pressing his face to the glass. His ear smooshed next to him as he dazed off. His breath streaking across the glass. As he simply waited for the sun.
His dreams of Elemental Drone becoming more substantial and common. After their mating ritual last month Gordon was unsure if he felt love or disgust for the vampire. It all still stirred and twisted in his gut.
Getting to know the mansion and its inhabitants was interesting and confusing all the same. All of them seemed to have a friend in Elemental Drone and often told him stories of Elemental Drone's younger years and it left him with questions.
After all, he was wrapped up in a curse of blood. The same curse that ripped his family from him and into the maw's of Court Jester.
The same bastard who Gordon wasn't allowed to deck at dinner 3 nights ago. He wanted to shoot the snarky man and his supposed submissive servant who claimed Gordon a lousy chef, let alone lover.
He never asked Elemental Drone to bed him.
He didn't even know they'd end up doing that, that night in the maze. It just all stressed him out and caused him to be less hungry. His stomach however still growled in disagreement.
Gordon never learned how to cook, so being put on the spot made him uncomfortable seeing as Court Jester expected him to have so much down, being Elemental Drone's other half.
It made him hate this place. Which until Court Jester showed up, he'd slowly started to enjoy.
Elemental Drone seemed embarrassed by Gordon which ticked the rabbit off more.
So Gordon stood and grabbed his revolver from under his pillow. Changing into his original clothes he'd tucked into his trunk and grabbed his bag.
Gordon was going to get Raspberry and get out of this nightmare. He didn't belong there. Not with Elemental Drone. Not with anyone.
Gordon was just a homeless mess who drank until the sun came up and fought monsters for his stay in villages.
He was a weary mess and a loveless one at that. So seeing as he'd overstayed his welcome he began to head to the stables. He remembered the first day Elemental Drone allowed him to see his horse.
It still brought tears to his eyes knowing he'd thought the poor thing was dead. However, seeing her all snuggled up under a horse quilt made him more emotional.
Gordon opened her stable and she stood up walking over nuzzling her face to his. He smiled and pecked her forehead.
He carefully climbed up and onto her back. The 2 of them head off onto the side trail away from the Maze and straight towards the front gates. Gordon's hood pulled up as he felt dread sink into his empty stomach.
It didn't take long to get there and he carefully slid off Raspberry to open the gate when he heard his name from a distance. He started quickly tugging open the gate when arms wrapped around him, halting him in his spot.
"GORDON STOP!" Catwoman shouted and Gordon struggled.
"Get off Catwoman!" Gordon shouted and squirmed as Joker and Batman also surrounded him.
"Why what's going on? Why are you leaving in broad daylight? Elemental Drone won't be able to come get you If you're hurt! Unless you want him to burn!" Joker said and Gordon struggled in their grasp.
"I don't belong here!" Gordon shouted startling the 3. "What? Who told you that!?" Batman argued hands on his hips as Gordon slowed his struggle down.
"I'm not what Elemental Drone wanted, I'm just some bum who travels around and kills pests, I'm an embarrassment to Elemental Drone!" Gordon said as he began to feel tears sting his eyes.
"The maze was a mistake!" Gordon said and Catwoman let go of him. Gordon gasped as he stumbled forwards and landed on his arms and knees in the snow.
"You don't believe that do you?" Came the soft voice Gordon dreamt about. Elemental Drone's sad eyes as he turned towards the cat. The sun is starting to break lightly through the tree's.
"F...Elemental Drone!" Gordon shouted, yanking his own cloak off and draping it around the vampire lord. Elemental Drone grasped his hand before he could lift the hood and Gordon squirmed.
"What are you doing you'll burn!" Gordon shouted and Elemental Drone glared at him startling the rabbit. "Why do you care Ozzy!? What could I have possibly wanted from you besides your love?" Elemental Drone asked stepping forwards the other vampires back off to give them room.
"F..Elemental Drone…" Gordon softly whispered. "You don't understand." He softly muttered, looking away in shame.
"Then tell me damn it! MAKE me understand!" Elemental Drone cried bloody tears starting to slip out as the sun rose higher.
Gordon's panic set in and he lunged forwards kissing Elemental Drone, startling the cat as he yanked the hood up and over them. The sun is bested by the black cloth.
"Because I love you…" Gordon whispered, pulling away from the cat tears spilling down his face. "I've always loved you, I just… I don't deserve you." was the heartbreaking response.
"Gordon I love you… You're all I've ever wanted. I don't care if you can cook or please me." Elemental Drone whispered softly kissing the rabbit's forehead.
Gordon shuddered as he was pulled into Elemental Drone's chest. "Just tell me what worked you up so much, you've been in a rage ever since Tuesday." Elemental Drone whispered and Gordon felt his heart thrum in sync with Elemental Drone's undead one.
"M...Court Jester…" Gordon whispered and Elemental Drone blinked confused. "What did he do?" Elemental Drone asked and Gordon felt shaky as he finally voiced his disdain.
"He's the one who killed my family… he… he's the reason I've been all alone and tormented for years... " Gordon whispered startling the vampires around him. Gordon looked away, his ears folding backwards.
"He killed them and he's been trying to hurt me ever since he got here… either through taunting my… mating abilities… or by straight up trying to bite or kill me." Gordon finished and Elemental Drone felt red hot anger fill his lungs as he held his lover close.
"I'll kill that rat!" Elemental Drone growled and they all heard the breakfast bell. Gordon's hands latching onto Elemental Drone's hood to keep the sun away.
"Let's head inside shall we." Catwoman said voice filled with venom.
The rest agreed with the sentiment.
_?Really long time skip?_
Gordon struggled under the male above him. His eyes trailing the long fall under them as they continued to fight on the roof. Gordon could feel his wounds flare in pain as they pressed him down harder.
His eyes were watering as he was choked. His leg pressed against Court Jester's stomach as he laughed down at the poor rabbit.
"F..Fuck you!" Gordon strangled out as he hit Court Jester with a roof tile. It knocked him off a bit and the 2 froze feeling the roof tiles under them shift and they were being dragged down with them.
Gordon struggled and turned around grasping onto one of the gargoyles. His eyes wide as he almost missed the edge of it.
However he cried out in pain as his leg was gripped roughly and his stitches were re-opened. He looked down to see Court Jester laughing and trying to reach up to grasp higher on Gordon.
"G..Get off!" He cried and he gasped as Court Jester dug his claws into his leg. Blood dripped out and Court Jester licked it up smirking as he felt the power of Van Helsing's rush through him.
"You're so much more special Gordon, just give in to being mine!" Court Jester laughed and Gordon looked around desperate to find a way out.
"I will never give myself up to you! I don't care how many pact's my family made. The only one I will succumb to is Elemental Drone V. Bathory!" Gordon shouted which startled Court Jester when a glowing chain suddenly burst from Gordon's chest and swirled around the rooftop and swung down through a wall and straight to Elemental Drone's sleeping form.
Gordon's tears escaped as he lost his grip on the gargoyle and fell. Court Jester laughed as he fell with the rabbit. Ready to latch onto the smaller male when a shadow shattered out through a window and tackled Gordon through the air.
Falling away from Court Jester's falling form as the rat screamed in rage. Wings spread from the shadows back and Gordon looked up in shock at the strange figure to find Elemental Drone's red eyes peering down at him.
"F...Elemental Drone!?" Gordon asked, startled by the vampire as the 2 of them flew down through the maze backup and around the castle. Landing swiftly and neatly on Gordon's balcony.
Gordon panted adrenaline, leaving him as he finally caved into his lover's arms. Elemental Drone carried him into the room and set him on his bed. Gordon's wounds were severe and his heart was beginning to pound faster as he struggled to regulate his body.
Elemental Drone licked the wounds and kissed the bruises. Holding Gordon close as he healed him. Gordon's shaky breath began to worry the cat as he hurried the healing process.
Curling around his lover to keep him warm as he tried to keep Gordon awake. "Ozzy! Please stay with me, You can't leave now. I love you too much. You just bound us. I can't lose you now!" Elemental Drone cried in panic as Gordon's eyes slid shut.
Elemental Drone's cries went unanswered as the other vampires found them. All of them were wounded but alive.
It took them a bit to check Gordon and pry him away from Elemental Drone. He just needed rest after the fight and then he'd be fine.
Elemental Drone never left Gordon's side, afraid to lose him. Court Jester was proclaimed dead the next morning.
Elemental Drone could care less as he dragged his hand through Gordon's fur and tried to wait patiently.
When Gordon finally does wake up he finds himself wrapped in lush blankets and comforting pillows. His face is buried in Elemental Drone's fur. He couldn't help but snuggle closer, eyes shutting softly as Elemental Drone shifted Gordon closer.
Gordon's eyes opened again at the contact and he looked up to see Elemental Drone wide awake.
"Elemental Drone." Gordon muttered softly getting the cat's attention. "Oh my GOSH!" Elemental Drone cried, kissing Gordon all over his face deepening the one he gave him on his lips, startling the rabbit more awake as he was snuggled and loved.
"A...Aha...Elemental Drone!" Gordon mewled as Elemental Drone started sucking on his neck. It caused Gordon to moan a bit as he grasped the cat's shoulders. It didn't take much to get Elemental Drone to calm himself.
It startled Gordon just how much had changed in the amount of time since they're mating ritual took place. Almost 2 years ago now.
What a surprise.
He didn't mind it though seeing as Elemental Drone still loved him and he too returned the love Elemental Drone gave.
Plus now that he'd accepted the mark of a Bathory. He didn't have to worry about anyone else trying to claim him.
