Beep beep beep!Gwenn slammed her hand on her alarm clock, the device shutting off. Her black hair had fallen out of its bun, her bangs entering her field of vision, the girl got out of bed putting her slippers on.Gwenn hated mornings, it made her wish to sleep in even more but she had school, and her dog Milo was clawing at the back door. The great Pyrenees whined wishing to be let out " Hey Milo, I know I'll let you out." Gwenn opened the door to be met with the cold morning air. " Great, it's freezing outside" Gwenn sighed her shoulders slumping. She walked back into her room to grab a change of clothes before walking into her bathroom and turning on the shower the room heated up due to the water. Steam started to fog up the mirror, Gwenn set her things down and grabbed a towel out of her linen closet, setting it on the counter. She undressed and stepped in the shower. After her shower Gwenn dressed in a burnt orange sweater and denim bell-bottom pants. She blow-dried her hair it went to its normal straightness, she put in her jewelry and earrings, then she put on a necklace. Looking in the mirror one last time she nodded to herself and then walked out of the bathroom, she grabbed a pair of socks and her black hightops.She put them on and back to the bathroom " Mija! Are you awake? School starts in twenty minutes!" Valeria called out to her daughter " I'm awake Mami! I'll be out in a minute!" Gwenn responded a sigh of relief could be heard from her mother, her mother opened the bathroom door peeking her head through the door " Do you need me to drive you, sweetie? I have time before work?" Gwenn looked at her mother a tube of mascara in her hand " No, I'm good Mami, I can drive today. Thank you though" the teen smiled at her mother, and the older woman returned the smile. She rubbed Gwenn's arm before kissing her on the cheek " Okay Mija, There are some waffles in the toaster for you, don't be late" Gwenn nodded putting the mascara down " I won't Mami" She kissed her mother's cheek and walked out the bathroom " You should probably go though, it's almost eight." Her mother squeaked " Oh! Alright then, I'll see you around seven, don't forget to let Milo back in! Bye Mija!" " Bye Mami!" Gwenn waved at her mother as she rushed into her car. The Mercedes Benz pulled out of the driveway and soon sped off on the road.After her mother left Gwenn let Milo inside, the dog skidded to his food bowl eating the contents inside. Gwenn grabbed the waffles from the toaster and ate them with gusto, She looked at the time almost dropping her waffle, it was 7:50, and she had fifteen minutes to get to school, ' Shit shit shit shit shit ' Gwenn gathered her bag and keys along with her water bottle, She ran outside locking the door behind her then got in her car, she jammed in her keys, the car starting up, She put the car in drive. She drove down the streets just a little past the speed limit but arrived at school within ten minutes, she parked the car in the student parking lot before walking inside the school. Gwenn had a little time before class started so she made her way to her locker, Nancy and Barb had been waiting for her the two girls had almost left but Barb saw her. The ginger smiled at Gwenn, and the girl returned it " You were almost late Gwenn, What made that happen?" Gwenn rolled her eyes at the ginger " Nothing, I was too busy eating waffles and didn't see the time until after I finished" Gwenn smirked and opened her locker " Well if it makes you feel any better, Nancy here has been making out with Steve Harrington" Gwenn's jaw dropped ", Steve? Like Steve ' the hair ' Harrington?!" Nancy put her hand over Gwenn's mouth shutting her up " Hush! No need to be so loud" she put her hands down and looked at Barb " And I didn't make out with him" she said with a huff. Gwenn closed her locker, she had textbooks in her hands.Gwenn looked around the hallway " And speak of the devil! Here he comes with his posse" Gwenn said with a little sarcasm. Steve walked up to the trio a smile on his face " Why hello, Gwenn...Barb" He looked at Nancy his eyes staring right into hers " Nancy" Gwenn groaned " People..." Carol looked at Gwenn with an eye roll " Well, we have class so..." Nancy looked up at Steve " Maybe later" The brunette rubbed his shoulder before walking away " Bye bye Eve!" Gwenn waved at the brunette while facing away from him.Gwenn was walking to her class, but her plans changed when she bumped into someone their books flying everywhere, there were few people in the hallway so she was able to get a good look at the person, He had long unkempt hair, It stopped around mid shoulder, she noticed he had braces, and a lot of beauty marks, his brown eyes were staring into her blue ones " I am so sorry, I didn't see you" Gwenn quickly apologized, she placed her books down and started picking up his things " No no, I wasn't looking where I was going, I'm sorry" He replied, he grabbed his things from her, he stood up Gwenn soon after " Uhm- I'm Gwenn" She held her hand out to him " He looked at her hand for a second before grasping it giving a weak shake " Anthony..." Gwenn could tell he was a little shy "Are you a Freshman?" Anthony nodded his head, the boy looked at his books. Gwenn shook her head " You'd need to head to the gym for the orientation, It's outside on your left you can't miss it." Anthony nodded his head " Okay thank you" Anthony walked away from Gwenn, and the girl walked off to her class the bell still hadn't wrung.She entered the classroom, It was Chemistry, She took a seat behind a girl named Becky. Gwenn knew Becky from freshman year, but barely talked to the girl " Alright, Welcome back everyone, we won't be starting on anything just yet, but we will wait for our freshman to come back from orientation alright?" The students nodded. Gwenn opened a notebook and start to draw little cats in it, the bell rang meaning the freshman were coming back, after a few moments the door opened five freshmen filed in to find a seat. Gwenn heard someone sit next to her but didn't look up to see who it was, she kept doodling."You like cats?" Gwenn lifted her head and looked to her right, those brown eyes she saw earlier met hers " Anthony! Oh, yeah I like cats.. I'm allergic to them though" Anthony smiled." That sucks, I don't think I'd be able to live with being allergic to cats" Gwenn snickered at his remark. "What classes do you have?" Gwenn asked the brunette next to her " Well, I have Chemistry but you know that" He said with a chuckle " But I have Calculus, English, French ll, World History, Computer science, and Gym" Gwenn nodded her head. " We have gym and English together, along with Chemistry, so we have three classes together! Fun!"
