Full chapter title- And Nothing Seemed To Ring True.

At least four or five eagles circled the sky over Dancing Lawn. Given that his ancestor was Queen of the Eagles, Ivar could feel them coming from miles away. Once he heard them outside, he got out of bed and ran to meet them, being careful not to disturb Kayla, who was in her fourth pregnancy.

"What is it, Ivar?"

"It's a letter for you, from Gandalf the Grey."

"Why would he write to me?"

"I don't know. You're the only one among us who has actually met him."

"He's asking for assistance to help the Dwarves of Erebor and the human survivors from Lake-town to help survive the winter. Thorin Oakenshield has reclaimed Erebor, and the dragon Smaug is dead."

"That's why you were shaking violently that one night."

"I hate being descended from mythical creatures. It messes me up physically, especially with pregnancy."

"Don't tell me the eagles being here messed up your mind?"

"Not my mind, but your little one was practically doing backflips when the eagles showed up. They get it from you, and that is what woke me up."

"Well, how should we respond?"

"I'll write a letter, and then you send an eagle to Cair Paravel."

"Correction Kayla, I'll write it and send it, you go back to sleep."

"I can't sleep until the eagles leave. Let's just get a letter sent, and I swear, if they send an eagle back here, I will never sleep."

"You may need your grandmother's sleep elixir."

"Lead me not unto temptation, Ivar."

Kayla and Ivar then made ready for a ride to Cair Paravel, with Kayla in a carriage instead of on horseback.

"Is it me, or are you waddling more with this baby than you did in your previous pregnancies?"

"Just how much waddling is too much?"

"If you were dressed in black and white right now Kayla, you would be a penguin."

"I love you, Ivar. Can I get a couch to lie down on for this council meeting instead of a chair? Please?"

"Kayla! I'm surprised you came here with him. Where are your children?"

"The dryads are watching over them, Susan. I need to lay down ASAP."

"And how far along are you?"

"Six months?"

"You have got to be having twins."

With that comment, Kayla started crying uncontrollably.

"I don't want to think about that!"

Ivar just glared at Susan, and so did the rest of the family, including Caspian. Kayla's mother brought a wheelchair to take her to the kitchens.

"Are you hungry again, Kayla?"

"Yes, and I need coffee."

"Why don't we have the meeting when Kayla calms down?"

Kayla was about to lunge at Peter, if she felt like walking.

"Good idea."

"We can also just talk in the kitchens. It's my hormones that made me cry, not Susan."

Ivar rolled Kayla to the kitchens with the family following behind them. Once they got there, Ivar poured Kayla a cup of coffee and sweetened it the way she likes it.

"The eagles arrived just in time with your letter, but why was the first one sent to you, Kayla?"

"Because I'm the only one among us who knows Gandalf. He was there whenAthairsent me away to the other world. He helpedAthairdecide what to do with me whenMamaídied. And a few days ago, I was shaking violently, and flames were spurting out of my mouth."

"The same thing happened with us and the children, but why?"

"Because the dragon Smaug died. Whenever a dragon dies, the other dragons feel the death, and react to it."

"Did Gandalf say what assistance they will be needing?"

"He said the company of thirteen dwarves will be staying in the Iron Hills, and the humans will be given shelter in the Woodland Realm under Thranduil. The leader of the people of Lake-Town is a man named Bard, and Gandalf says he is a descendant of Girion, the last lord of Dale before the city was destroyed by Smaug. Where'd Momma go?"

"Your parents and grandmothers are riding out to Dancing Lawn."

"If everyone in this situation is all ready to be given shelter for the winter, then sending them food and provisions is out of the question."

"Of course, Peter."

"But, a little extra help when spring comes won't hurt."

"At times like this, I miss Peridan. He would be a great envoy for this."

Just about every day, the family would have a moment when they would miss the golden age of Narnia.

"Who can we send as a promise that we will help them get their kingdoms rebuilt when spring comes?"

Usually, it was Kayla and Ivar that were sent on ambassadorial trips, but not this time.

"Don't look at Ivar and me. I'm six months pregnant, and I can barely move across a room, let alone across the country."

"Adila has been feeling sick the past few mornings. I don't want to leave her side until she's better."

"Has a physician looked her over?"

"She's weary of that."

"AskBobiesto look her over. They have medicinal knowledge."

"Don't ask me to do it, either. Lilliandil is already four months pregnant and is starting to show."

"Good job, Edmund."

"Shut up, Ivar."

The family then looked to Lucy to send to Middle-Earth.

"You're the only one among us that ain't married Lucy."

"At times like this, I miss Peridan as well. He could go with me."

"Lucy, if it was just you and Peridan going, you would have come back married to each other."

"I don't like going on ambassadorial trips alone."

"Take your parents with you. They've only seen Narnia anyways."

"I'll take Da with me. I'll leave mother with you for when your baby comes."

Lucy ran to find her father, to ask him if he would go with her.

"I'll go with you, Lucy."

"Good. I don't like going on these trips alone. And pack for warmth, Da. It's cold here, so it's cold in Middle-Earth."

After Ivar and Kayla headed back to Dancing Lawn, Kayla's parents and grandmothers came back to Cair Paravel, and the grandmothers looked over Adila as suggested.

"Peter, please don't leave me."

"I'm not leaving you, Adila."

"You have nothing to be scared of, Adila. You are not sick, nor are you dying."

"Then what is wrong with me,Bobies?"

"Your body will b changing over the next few months, but it will change for something good."

"And what will my body be changing into?"

"Your body will be going through what Kayla's, Susan's, and Lilliandil's bodies are going through right now."

"Congratulations, my dears, You're going to have a baby!"
