Here you go.

The club fair in the gymnasium was filled with all sorts of students, ranging from 1st years to 3rd years to school staff. The school staff were busy distributing pamphlets and booklets regarding the club, while the 3rd years were on the stage, each having various outfits and banners.

They were probably the club representatives.

After a few minutes of navigating through the crowds, a female voice could be heard. Turning towards the stage, it was a petite girl with purple hair and eyes.

"Thank you all for your patience. My name is Tachibana Akane and I will be the host of today's club fair!

We will now begin the club fair, with the club representatives coming up to the front of the stage and explaining their club's way of functioning and the advantages of joining. Let's begin the club fair!"

She seemed pretty disciplined and cheerful as she said that. A closer look could also highlight her short height. Extremely short for a senpai.

After the speech, the club representatives started lining up in the front. Tall, buff guys with Judo uniforms and girls wearing beautiful kimonos could be seen. There was no end to the clubs' diversity.

They all had their own different introductions but ended with the line 'Beginners are welcome.', which was understandable, seeing as that the larger a club's population, the bigger its budget would be.

All in all, the clubs were interesting and boring, except for those with top-notch equipment.

Eventually, the rest of the representatives left the stage, leaving behind a single lone senpai.

Tall and athletic, with black hair and glasses, he stood there in silence. Watching the crowd in front of him with a piercing and calculating glance, his eyes sharply analyzed the students.

I was personally interested in knowing his club, but he just stood there in silence with an apathetic face, as some dumb people started mocking him.

"Why so nervous, Senpai?"

"Did you forget your postcards?"

"Hahahahahaha!"

Such comments were hurled at him by the students, some of which had a recognizable voice.

"Look at Horikita two rows behind you, Ayanokouji-kun."

Turning towards the person mentioned by Kuroko, a familiar unsocial girl was standing with a mix of emotions on her face as she stared at the Senpai on the stage. There was some apprehensive, slight fear and for some reason, admiration.

"It seems that she knows the Senpai on the stage?" Tatsuya said, joining in on the conversation.

"Perhaps."

Anyways, the relaxed atmosphere from before had gradually turned to a very tense one, which was felt by all. Not a single student was able to open his mouth. The silence finally got unveiled as the senpai started speaking, his sharp gaze still on the crowd, skirting around.

"I am the student council president. My name is Horikita Manabu." Oh.

They are related then. Maybe siblings or perhaps cousins? Not a good relationship they have, if the look on the younger Horikita's face paints her true feelings.

Looking back at the SCP, an aura of authority radiated out of his posture as he continued speaking with a soft tone.

"The student council is looking to recruit potential candidates among the first years to replace the graduated third years. Although no specific qualifications are required for candidacy, we humbly ask that those considering applications not be involved in other club activities. We generally don't accept students involved elsewhere. A total of 3 students from the first year will enter the council, that is if they qualify for it."

His tone may be soft yet the tension in the air was quite high. Managing to silence more than 100 new students, the power and authority he held was demonstrated. His presence was simply more dominating than everyone else, save a few.

"Furthermore, we in the student council do not wish to appoint anyone with a naive outlook. Not only would such a person not be elected, but he or she would also sully the sanity of the school which has been preserved for years by the preceding councils. It is the student council's right and duty to enforce and amend the rules, but the school expects more than that. We would gladly welcome those of you who will understand this."

He didn't pause once throughout his speech. Immediately after the speech's end, he got down the stage and exited the gymnasium.

Interesting.

Glancing at the two beside me, it looked like they shared the same thought as me.

"Thank you all for coming. The club fair has thus ended. We will now open the reception area for any interested students. We ask you to bring your application form directly to the club if you wish to join at a later date." The girl on the stage, Tachibana senpai said, hence concluding the club fair.

"Are you two interested in any clubs?" turning towards the other two, I inquired.

"None, at the moment, though I might check a few out. What about you Kuroko?"

"The go-home club seems interesting, but I might accompany you."

I don't really want to explore the club fair, seeing as I won't be joining any of them. On the other hand, exploring the campus seems like a better idea.

"I am thinking of exploring the campus. I will see you two later at the dorm. Bye."

"Sure, See you later. Also please do tell us if you find something interesting about the S-system, seeing as you looked like you had suspicions about it when I asked sensei." Tatsuya replied with a small smirk.

He noticed that too?

It looks like I have reevaluated him. Fairly observant with a cunning mind, he would be a great ally in the future. He also seemed to not care enough about the class, seeing the vague question he asked sensei instead of just being blunt.

I audibly sighed before responding back.

"Okay, I will. Bye for now."

[ Timeskip ]

The campus lived up to its rumours, providing any and all necessities along with recreational facilities too. A whole giant mall was full of shops with items that a teenager might need to live his daily life.

Cafes, karaoke clubs, parks, cinemas, restaurants, leisure pools and other sorts of stores, it was almost impossible to not find something you were looking for, provided it was legal. Of course, the school didn't sell anything illegal. And if they did, it wouldn't be out in the open.

There was a convenience store too, with everything a normal convenience store would have. The prices were the same as they would be for a normal store, with 1 point being worth 1 yen. A 300 yen cup of ramen only cost about 300 points. The only difference was the change of the word from yen to points, probably so that most of them would spend it carelessly.

Sensei did not lie to us, then.

Entering the store, I decided to look around. A rare few students could be found, including a hot-headed red-haired delinquent and a black-haired annoying girl, both from our class and another red-haired student, with a small smirk on his face as he observed something on a shelf of edible products.

Putting the necessities that I needed in a basket, I made my way to the shorter red-haired boy to find him looking at the shelf which had an isolated portion of food and supplies. They were the same as everything else, except with only one thing different.

"Free?"

Picking one up, I observed the toothbrush. It was nothing different than the usual one. They were just in a bin marked as 'free of charge'. The bin also had the words '3 items per month' written on it. All these items were also daily necessities like food and sanitary items.

"It's probably emergency food and supplies for those who have exhausted their points. Surprisingly lenient of the school."

The red-haired boy was the one who spoke up beside me. While unknown, he was correct.

"Yeah. Like a safety net for some students."

While we were given 100,000 points, the students who had no sense of self-control would spend carelessly on unnecessary stuff, thereby wasting it. For a normal student, 100,000 yen would probably last for 2 to 3 months.

Regarding food, a normal meal in the cafeteria would cost about 500 points. Buying one every day would be around 15000 points. Double that for the dinner and a normal person would spend 25 to 30 thousand points on food a month. And that's not counting the points spent on the cafes.

That's 90,000 points gone while the rest 10,000 would be spent here and there.

"How rude of me, I didn't even introduce myself. I am Akashi Seijuro of class B. Nice to meet you." He replied with a small smirk on his face.

"I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka from class D. Nice to meet you too," I replied, observing him. He was no ordinary person, seeing the confident and superior aura around him. It would be better for me to be wary around him for now as he might pose some problems later.

Also, his name sounds familiar.

"What do you think about this school, Ayanokouji?"

Is he trying to probe me for information?

"It is too lenient on its students while also giving out results to its graduates."

"That's what I thought too."

While not lying, that was not my full thoughts. The school was obviously not going to give us 100,000 points the next month. The questions were why and how much we were going to get next month. What was the criteria that decided the total points we received?

And why were we told the misdirected information by the teachers? Was it just to fool us into lowering our guards or was there some hidden purpose to it? And Sensei's smirk when Tatsuya figured out a loophole in the explanation hinted that there was a lot more than we were told.

Just why were we not told clearly then?

I sighed. It was annoying to think so much without a lot of clues. The more I thought, the more questions came into my mind. Taking a backseat for now would be the best way to approach this school for now.

Future problems were future me's headaches.

Anyways, talking with Akashi for a bit more regarding the school, we exchanged contact numbers before heading our ways. He went towards the dorm while I observed the situation created by the other red-haired person beside Akashi. From what I knew about him, he seemed to be brash and violent with an irascible attitude. Or in other words, a delinquent.

He was currently sitting outside the convenience store, after causing a ruckus inside for losing his card. Finally having found it in his bag, he had paid for the Ramen bowl he was buying and gone outside. And sitting on the bench was he eating the Ramen, oblivious to the disgusted look Horikita had given him as she went past him towards the same direction as Akashi.

Stopping beside a pillar, I glanced at the three senpais approaching him with an avaricious gaze, pathetically concealing their greed with a smirk. Interest heightened due to the events playing out in front of me, I took out my phone and positioning it towards the red-haired boy on the bench, started recording.

"Hey, are you a first-year student? That's our spot you are sitting on."

The three boys approached him while carrying their own bowls of Ramen. The red-haired boy took offence at their tone.

"Who are you guys? I am sitting here now so get your own spot. You are even blocking the way."

The rest of the Senpais took an even more offensive stance and decided to insult him.

"Didn't You hear him? Scram. Some stupid first-year brat you are."

The three laughed at red hair-kun as he dropped his Ramen cup on the ground and stood up. Soup and noodles splattered on the ground as his face expressed his anger. How pitiful.

He fell right into their trap.

I sighed before stopping the video and stepping into the light in view of the 4 students.

"You shouldn't do that Senpai," I spoke up.

"The first year's trying to start a fight. Ha- What?"

I continued before the surprise effect wore off.

"You were trying to provoke him into a fight, right? Then you would threaten him with camera footage to make him hand over all his points. Wasn't that your plan?"

"Wh.. what do you mean, kohai?" They stuttered as the red-haired looked at them in shock. Some of which also came in my direction.

I smirked darkly. Although, knowing my apathetic face, I probably didn't.

"But, you know senpai, you messed up a bit."

I took out my phone from my pocket before playing the video of them trying to provoke him. Caught red-handed, they stared at me in fear, knowing that I could decide their fate. I decided to play innocent for some more time, though.

"I should probably report this to the school, you know."

" Ple... Please kohai, don't do that. Anything but that."

Anything?

'Anything? Then how about all your points for this video?"

Their faces adopted a horrified look at my demand, which they obviously had to accept. Living without points must be really bad for them to react like this. I feel a little bad for them now.

Just kidding.

Anyways, I took a look at them and stretched my hand out for their phones. They cooperated willingly with fear and hopelessness visible in their eyes.

345,000; 499,000 and 721,000 points respectively, they were pretty rich. In total, about 1,555,000 points would be added to my account. Add my 100,000 from before and take 6050 for my purchases, I now have 1,658,950 points.

Wow. I am officially a millionaire now.

"Tell anyone about this and your class will have 3 less students than before. Got it? Now, Scram." I added menacingly towards the scared senpais as they ran away towards the dorms, all scared.

Turning towards red-hair-kun, I looked back at his shocked face.

"Same applies to you too. Tell anyone and you will be expelled too."

He nodded immediately before smiling a bit.

"Anyways, thanks, man. Although you were pretty scary there, you practically saved my life. If you hadn't been there, I would have lost all my points. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Also, I am Sudo Ken. Future no.1 Basketball Player. Nice to meet ya."

I think you should be the one worried instead of me, Sudo. Anyways, I politely returned the greeting.

"I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Nice to meet you too. We will probably meet each other again as we are in the same class. See you later."

Nodding towards him, I too departed towards the dorm, all the while thinking about everything that happened today. What an exciting day it was. The start of a somewhat free life.

Walking quietly under the moonlight, I realized amusingly that the Senpais had forgotten to make me delete the video.

How kind of them.
