Hunter Noceda: An Owl house story
(Noceda residents, Gravesfield, Connecticut, USA)
Hunter looked out as the rain fell from the night sky. He was a bit surprised when thunder roared and lightning cracked through the sky! After a moment Hunter looked back out the window, while the thunder and lighting were not to his liking, the rain was still beautiful. He would be leaving soon. Willow, Gus, and Amity had already returned to the boiling isles after Luz had begun to undo the damage to collector had done. Vee unsurprisingly was staying here in the Human world, she had already been officially adopted by Mrs. Noceda. Hunter hated to think this but he was jealous of that…that was why he had to go home. Luz, Mrs. Noceda, and Vee deserved their happiness and they couldn't have that with him around ruining their good lives. He wished he didn't have to go, that he could stay here and be a part of the family had known only briefly but had known that he had always wanted.
He then felt a tear drop fall onto his hand, followed by a few more. He wished Flapjack was still here, at least then he could share his emotions with someone.
"Mind if I join you?"
Hunter quickly wiped away, his tears and turned around to see Luz standing in the doorway to the living room. Without waiting for a response Luz joined him on the couch and looked out at the rain with him. The two stayed there for a while not saying or doing anything but looking out at the stormy night sky.
While he was looking out, Hunter began to remember all the happy times he, Luz, and everyone else had had then he felt the tears begin to flow down his cheeks again, and before he could wipe them away, Luz beat him to them. She wiped away his tears with a paper towel.
Without thinking, hunter embraced her. Luz surprisingly, not that shocked embraced him back. She was about to say something but Hunter interrupt her.
"I don't wanna go but I know I have to," Hunter said.
Now Luz was surprised.
"Hunter, what're you-"
"Just let me Finnish."
Hunter then looked Luz in the eyes.
"I know now that things are better in my world means that I don't have to stay here anymore and I know if I do, I'll only ruin the happy life you, vee and Ma-I mean
Mrs. Noceda has but I want you to know Luz that you are my Sister! I never knew what having siblings was like until recently and based on what I've seen and read that's what you are to me."
Luz didn't answer but Hunter got off the couch. He tried to leave the room but Luz grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him back onto the couch.
Hunter now noticed tears were beginning to run down Luz's cheeks. Hunter in typical male fashion used his sleeve to wipe away her tears. This made her giggle for a moment before she took Hunter by the hand.
"Hunter, you can't just go," Luz said.
" I can't just stick around here and get in the way of your life, the life you fought so hard for, the life you Deserve."
"Why would you staying here ruin anything? Hunter, do you know how much My mom, I, and vee would miss having you around?"
"What about when Willow, Gus, and amity left? You didn't stop them from leaving. Doesn't your mom care about them too?"
"Of course, she does but in the way a mother cares about her child's close friends but with you it's different. To her, you like the son she never had but always wanted…and…"
Hunter looked askance at Luz.
"And what?"
Luz looked away for a moment before looking back at Hunter.
"And I don't wanna lose my brother."
"W-what?"
Luz wiped away a tear and smiled at Hunter.
"You heard what I said, Dummy. I don't wanna lose you. I can just crossover to see Amity, Willow, and Gus whenever I want but you're not like that, Hunter. Your family. When I was a little kid, every Christmas season my mom would ask me what I wanted Santa to bring me and I would always say I wanted a brother. Someone I could fight with, pull my hair, call me to squirt, and all that but my mom couldn't have any more kids after I was born and she was always working all the time so as I got older I stopped asking. Vee would miss you too, ya know. She loves having a big brother figure like you around."
Now it was luz's turn to embrace Hunter.
Hunter smiled inwardly and hugged his sister back.
"You are part of this family, Hunter, and as corny as this sounds, Family sticks together."
Luz's eyes then went wide as she remembered something then gave Hunter a rather evil-looking smile.
"Wait here, I'll be right back, Brother."
Luz then got up and left the room.
Hunter waited for a moment before Luz came back with two items. One was a stack of papers the other was a small Ashwood box.
"What's all this?" Hunter asked.
Now Luz looked excited.
"Read the papers, Read 'em!"
Hunter looked at the paperwork and his eyes went wide as he read them, they were adoption forms, filled out completely, and the only thing it still needed was his signature he then heard the click of a pen and saw Luz holding one near his face.
"All it needs is your John Hancock and then you'll be an official Noceda."
Hunter took the pen from his sister's hand and wrote his new name on the form: Hunter Noceda.
"Mom wanted you to fill these out sooner but I convinced her to wait till after I got back. I wanted to be here for this."
Hunter then carefully put the forms on the Dinner table, trying to keep them all nice and neat to not ruin his new family life as a Noceda.
Luz then looked at Hunter and he back to her.
"Now let's get out your next gift."
Luz opened the box and out of it flew a miniature Bald eagle that flew around the room a few times then stopped in front of Hunter before Turing into a palisman staff. Hunter fought it in his hands and looked at his new staff before looking back at Luz.
"I know we can never replace flapjack but as a witch, in training, you still need a Palisman. Eda and I found this little guy deep in the forest."
Hunter looked at his new Palisman again then at Luz.
"Hey luz, there's still something I wanna do, mind helping me?"
"Sure, what do you need help with?"
Hunter then put Luz into a headlock and began to give her a noogie.
"Ow, Hunter, stop."
"No way, squirt."
Luz after hearing this began to laugh and then said: Welcome to the family Hunter."

(I love Hunter and hope he becomes an official Noceda by the end of the owl house also I plan on writing more Owl House works in the future, two I have in mind are an Owl house movie fic and a Next generation fix with Luz and Amity's Daughter and Hunter and Willow's son)
