The only things purer than divinity, are the eyes and mind of a lost child…
"Oh no! Someone help me!"
A woman with forest green hair curled herself underneath a soft yellow blanket. Her green eyes glimmered with a spark of mischief.
Inko Midoriya giggled as she heard the excited yell of her daughter.
"I'm trapped! I hope that a hero will help me soon!"
"Don't worry! I AM HERE!"
A tiny little girl with forest green curls and emerald eyes slid into the doorway. A very well worn, limited edition All Might onesie perfectly fit on her tiny frame.
The two tufts mimicking the number one hero's hair flopped down a bit, making the girl even more cute as she tried to strike an awe inspiring pose.
"HAHAHA!" The girl acted. "Good day to you mommy! Are you alright?"
The woman embraced her daughter in a hug. "Thank you for saving me!"
The little girl gave her hearty hero laugh once again. "All in a day's work! HAHAHA!"
Inko laughed with her child, carrying her out to the dining room. "Now, let's eat dinner."
"Katsu-katsu- katsudon!" Izuka sang. Inko sat the girl down at the table, right in front of a steaming bowl of fried pork cutlet over rice.
"Itadakimasu!" The two said, before beginning to eat.
"Slow down Izuka. Remember to blow on it so it's not too hot."
The little girl coughed as she tried to cool down a piece of pork sitting on her tongue.
"Here, drink some water honey." Inko said, passing the girl her little cup. Izuka downed the glass, before letting out a small belch.
"Excuse me…" the little one squeaked, before resuming eating her food.
After finishing dinner, Inko shoed Izuka into her room, having her change into a new outfit as she had stained her other one at dinner.
As Inko was brushing her teeth, a pair of orange tufts waddled up to her side.
"Momma… this one's itchy…"
Inko looked at the endeavor outfit, nose squinching upwards. The number 2 hero was- for lack of a better term- an ass. Inko shook her head before picking Izuka up.
"Let's see if we can find a better one."
The two managed to find a pajama decorated with lightning bolts, which Izuka changed into, not caring about the Endeavor pajama.
Inko made popcorn as she had Izuka build a blanket fort. The mother sat down with the snack as her daughter started a movie.
An orchestral intro played as the screen panned outwards on a large castle.
"Cruella" played as Izuka snuggled up to her mother. As the movie went on, Izuka would ask questions.
"Why is she stealing the puppies?"
Inko smiled. "One of them ate a special necklace, and she needs it back."
"Did they just try to kill her?"
"Because bad people do those kinds of things."
Izuka rolled over and looked at her mom. "Isn't Cruella Deville a villain?"
Inko nodded. "Izuka, villains are people too, even they have a story. Were the people who were mean to her heroes for being mean?"
Izuka shook her head.
Inko smiled. "They were really mean, weren't they."
Izuka nodded.
"Remember Izuka, sometimes all a villain needs is for someone to believe in them."
A rumble woke Inko from her sleep.
'Probably a villain attack a few blocks away.'
The woman stretched as she got to her feet. A quick check informed her that Izuka was snuggled on the couch, asleep after watching an old movie again.
The woman smiled, before walking to the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet, she scrolled through her phone, commenting on friends' pictures and reading comments on her repost of the blanket fort post with Izuka three years ago
-Such a wonderful little one!
-Cruella is such a great movie!
-A little bit of a villainous movie, no?
Inko smiled as she turned off her phone, leaving the bathroom and walking to get a drink of water from the kitchen.
The clock on the oven flashed as it changed to three A.M. Inko took a sip of water as she gazed out of the apartment window. A few flashes lit up across the city.
'Like I thought, a villain attack.'
The woman took another sip of water, sitting down at the kitchen table. With the wave of a hand, a black bound book flew to her hand, as if pulled by a magnet.
The cover of the book was simple, just plain black leather with a green "M" in the center. Inko opened the book to a marked page, before taking out a photograph from the blanket fort and sliding it into place on the empty page.
Inko studied the picture, before flipping back through older photos.
October 3rd year xxxx: A picture of Izuka writing in one of her hero journals. A drawing of some sort of boot was on the opposite page.
July 15th year xxxx: A picture of Izuka passed out with a party hat on. An All Might figure was clasped tightly in one hand.
January 1st year xxxx: Izuka and Inko standing and looking up at the sky as fireworks detonated.
Inko smiled as she got more towards the weathered pages. A few messages were scribbled in her husband's jaunty handwriting. The smell of ink filled Inko's nostrils as she flipped the pages.
September 13th year xxxx: Izuka and a tall man with white hair sitting together laughing. The man wore a black suit, and gloves with two fingers cut out to negate a five point touch quirk.
June 3rd year xxxx: Izuka smiling with her eyes wide as elements spun in the air at her fathers command.
Inko sighed, closing the book as she thought of Hisashi. His white hair and dark eyes. The eyes that seemed to hunger for the world.
They were always so bright around his daughter.
The apartment shook a little more as Inko thought. Outside, sirens could be heard as explosions detonated.
Inko peered out of her window to make sure that the fight wasn't too close. The woman's eyes shot open as she beheld All Might. The symbol of peace wore an expression of pure rage, his bright blue inspiring eyes burning with hate and rage as he faced down his nemesis, the one person Inko hoped all Might would never find.
Hisashi Midoriya, the great All For One.
"Well well well All Might, it seems that your time will end tonight!"
"So you say, but you'll find that it will be the night that sickening smile is wiped from your face. CAROLINA SMASH!"
All Might crossed his arms and chopped outwards, sending a shockwave at his enemy.
All For One simply blocked and sent a shockwave if his own hurtling back at the hero.
All Might kicked off from the ground, zipping away from the attack before rocketing back at the villain.
All For One raised a hand as All Might threw a punch, catching it with only a little bit of strain.
"You've gotten stronger, but it's still futile."
All For One hurled All Might into the ground, before breathing in and activating a fire breath quirk.
"ALL YOU CAN DO IS KNEEL BEFORE ME!"
Fire spewed forth from the villain's maw, orange tongues of flame rushing down in a waterfall of blazing destruction.
All For One halted the assault with a chuckle, eyeing the steaming form of All Might with glee. "You are persistent…"
The hulking blonde hero stood up, his face blistered from the flames. The ground around where he stood had turned molten and was now quickly cooling.
All Might Clenched his fist. "A cute trick, but nothing more. It is time to finish this All For One!"
"I couldn't agree more." The villain smirked, his dark eyes sparkling.
All Might inhaled, before he disappeared. All For One blinked as he felt his hold on his quirk slipping.
'What is this?'
His eyes were drawn to a young man in yellow goggles, staring at him from atop a lamp post.
'No, not that quirk!'
All For One ducked as All Might attempted to punch him.
"Gran Torino!"
A man in a yellow hero costume rocketed into Hisashi's stomach, causing him to cough.
"Toshinori!"
"RIGHT! United STATES OF-"
"HISASHI!"
All Might grunted, freezing for a moment as he heard a woman's voice.
Gran Torino's eyes widened as a woman with green hair ran out onto the road, hand outstretched as she called to the villain before everyone.
"Inko?"
Gran Torino leapt back as Hisashi kicked All Might away, before scurrying back himself.
Inko embraced the man she loved, tears brimming at the corners of her eyes. "Hisashi, why didn't you leave?"
"They started tracking me…" the man grunted, before falling to one knee and coughing.
"Hisashi!"
"It's okay! Everything is okay…" All For One took a deep breath. "Shota Aizawa is erasing my healing factors…"
Inko saw the man staring at her husband and turned so she was between them. Hisashi immediately felt a surge of energy and breathed a sigh of relief.
"What are you doing here?" Hisashi breathed.
Inko pointed to the window. "We're at the apartment."
"You there! Are you some sort of evildoer as well?"
"Go, get to safety." Hisashi turned to All Might.
Inko ran into the apartment complex once again as All Might dashed in. "It doesn't matter, I'll make sure they are captured as well!"
All For One took the hit to protect Inko, flying back into the wall of the apartment complex.
Inko dove out of the way as debris showered over her. Hisashi grunted and leapt back out of the building.
The woman ran up the stairs and grabbed Izuka as the building rumbled again.
"I won't let you HURT THEM!"
A laser fired from the street as All Might gave a loud shout. The hero sailed onto the balcony clutching a bloody arm.
All Might turned and saw Inko, holding her sleeping toddler. The woman took a step back but tripped and fell. Landing on her back.
All Might stalked towards the woman, his face stone hard. His blue eyes were menacing as they fixed themselves on the cowering woman.
"I'm afraid your fate has been sealed as an ally to that man."
All Might cockled a gist back, but was suddenly ensnared by bone like cords.
"You will not hurt them… I've underestimated you for too long!"
Hisashi yanked All Might from the apartment, hurling him onto a metal pipe on the street. All Might grunted as the pipe pierced through his stomach.
Inko shook Izuka awake. "Honey, wake up! We need to leave."
Izuka gave a sleepy blink and rubbed her eyes as her mother ripped a painting from the wall.
Behind the painting was a small safe. Inko quickly opened it and withdrew a bag of money, along with a small black case.
The woman opened the case, revealing two syringes. One glowed a light blue, a few bubbles suspended within it. The other was completely white.
Inko pocketed the blue syringe, before closing the case and rushing her daughter to the door. As she opened it, the building rumbled again, and All Might flew into the hallway, crashing into the open door. Inko pulled Izuka back and ran to the balcony.
All Might shouted something and a shockwave knocked the mother and daughter over. Izuka began crying as the hero stalked towards them. Inko pulled a book towards her, hitting All Might in the back of the head as she did so. The hero was stunned for a moment, which is all Inko needed to pull his heel upwards, flipping him over.
The hero caught himself in a handstand, before flipping back over. He quickly grabbed Inko and tossed her aside, before laying his eyes on Izuka.
The little girl cowered as tears flowed from her eyes. This didn't look like a hero. It was a monster in human skin.
All Mights tufts of hair seemed like devilish horns, His blue eyes seemed malicious in the light. His smile was forced, stretched outwards in order to inspire false hope before the end. In the moment, her mind seemed to skip, telling her that it was okay, that he was a hero, it was the only thing that made sense.
"Are you here to save us All Might?"
The muscly hero froze, a step away from the little girl. The shuddering, scared, threatened little girl.
All Might turned and looked at Inko, who sobbed in the corner.
"P-please… St-stay away from ou-our daughter…"
The hero breathed out, kneeling down and patting the girl on the top of her head.
"Yes… It's okay."
The hero's smile stretched wider as he pointed a thumb at himself. "Now that I am here!"
Izuka's eyes sparkled as the hero stood up and walked to the balcony. Inko ran forward and Grabbed Izuka just as the hero leapt off once again.
The two ran down the stairs, Inko pulling Izuka as the building began to crumble. Chunks of drywall fell behind the two as they flew down flights of stairs.
As they ran out onto the street, the building fell. Concrete and drywall tumbled down, trapping Inko.
"MOMMA!"
Izuka turned and tried to dig Inko out of the rubble, before turning to All Might who was walking towards All For One.
"Mr All Might! Please, save momma!"
All Might looked at the family of two. If the rubble killed them, no one would know. It'd just be another death on a battleground.
Fitting of All For One's family in his opinion.
"The other heroes will be here soon. Hang in there."
With a kick, All Might left to fight his nemesis. The shockwave caused more rubble to begin falling.
Inko noticed and procured the blue syringe, before injecting herself with it.
At once, everything froze, before blasting back. Inko crawled towards her daughter as the drug faded, procuring the white syringe.
"Izuka… whatever happens keep your quirk a secret. I'm going to give it to daddy. Tell no one about what you could do."
Izuka screamed as Inko stabbed the syringe into her. Black lightning crackled as the white was replaced by deep red.
Izuka dropped as Inko took back the syringe, before putting it back in its case and tapping a button on the side.
"Hisashi, it's here. She no longer has any quirk factor in her blood. Take this, and hide. I love you, and I'm sorry that I'll never see you again…"
The case gave a whirr as the recording processed, before it disappeared in a shower of sparkles.
Inko's eyes grew heavy, and she collapsed as she heard a great bellow.
"United States Of SMAAAAASH!"
End Of Chapter One
