Ground Zero: Six hours after the great battle.
Smoke laid heavy on the air. Heavy, black, almost impenetrable. Where there was once a great expanse of city blocks was now only rubble and destruction.
Several heroes patrolled the area, searching for any form of life. Several heroes worked in teams, transporting civilians into recovery tents, putting out fires, and clearing rubble.
"We need a team of water quirks over here!"
"Bandages! Someone grab me more bandages!"
"There you go sweetie, have some gummies."
"I'VE GOT COLLAPSING BUILDINGS OVER IN SECTOR THREE!"
"A SINKHOLE JUST OPENED UP IN SECTOR EIGHT!"
"Manual!"
Manual, a young hero, turned to the origin of the call. Manual was average height, average build, pretty much average everything. There was a reason he was known as "the normal hero." His outfit consisted of a light blue wetsuit covered by thin pieces of armor.
The one calling for him was a pro hero known as Elektra. Her suit was grey and yellow, giving the vision of a "caution" sign. A lightning bolt was emblazoned on her chest, her normal calling card. Her face was covered by a black visor, which hid only her storm gray eyes. Her vibrant blonde hair was kept in a long braid.
"Elektra, what's the matter?"
"We found a short in one of the buildings. A busted fire hydrant is gushing across it and raising the water level. The trapped civilians are in danger."
The normal hero nodded, before following Elektra into the wreckage.
"We've managed to assist all civilians up to a mile into the wreckage. We're still around a mile away from the center."
Manual nodded. "We're making good time then. Hopefully we can save those at the epicenter as well. "
"Those at the epicenter are our own. We got news that around fifty heroes were compromised in the attack."
"CLEAR THE WAY!"
Manual stopped, turning to the voice. "Is that Sir Nighteye?"
"EVERYONE MOVE!"
The tall man moved slowly as he aided a victim out of the destruction. A great muscular body was slumped over the skinny hero's back.
"Holy shit… is that-"
"DON'T JUST STAND THERE!" Nighteye yelled. "GET TO THE CIVILIANS!"
Manual shook Elektra's shoulder and motioned to lead. "Come on, where is the water flooding?"
Elektra ignored him however, still staring at the man on Nighteye's back. "All Might…"
Manual's eyes shot to the body of the number one hero. All Might's hair hung down upon his face. Blood dripped down Nighteye's back, pouring from a wound in All Might's side. Red white and blue had never filled him with so much fear, not fear of the man who wore them, but fear of the man that did this to him.
"Nighteye!"
The hero looked up to see Manual running towards him. "Normal Hero Manual… Seeing you must mean we're close to the recovery tents?"
Manual Nodded. "A few more buildings to go and you can't miss it. Nighteye, what did this?"
The hero shook his head. "A man whose presence filled even All Might with fear. He is gone. Peace stands victorious."
Manual smiled. "Of course, because All Might cannot be defeated." Manual heard a cough as All Might's body shook. The normal hero gave a look to Nighteye before moving to inspect the number one hero.
The first thing he noticed were All Might's eyes. As soon as he was within their gaze, Manual felt as though a hundred men had sat upon his shoulders. Bright piercing blue eyes studied every feature of the normal hero. A bit of blood trickled out of the hero's mouth as he coughed again.
Manual laid a hand on All Might's shoulder. "Forgive me. What I mean to say is that you cannot be defeated, as long as we are here." The hero smiled his best All Might grin, jabbing a thumb to his chest. "Here, I can use my quirk to make the pain a bit easier until you get to the recovery tent."
Manual touched a hand to the wounded hero's forehead, using his quirk to manipulate the water in All Mights blood, washing it out of his throat and lungs and giving him room to breathe.
Manual released his quirk and took a deep breath.
"Thank you." Nighteye said.
"Of course.
"Manual-San…" All Might's mouth flickered into his normal grin, although it was quite strained. "You are the normal hero…"
Manual nodded. "Because without any of this costumed act, I'm just a human, like you. I'm normal so the people don't forget that we are not all powerful, and in turn, that they too can be extraordinary."
"Such a wise ideology… I cannot wait to hear news of your efforts…"
"Thank you All Might-Sama."
Nighteye nodded and began to move again, slowly bringing All Might to those who could heal him, step by step.
Manual walked back to Elektra.
"Come on… They'll get help soon."
Elektra nodded and began to guide Manual once again. The two heroes made their way through jagged chunks of concrete and cracked streets.
After a decent walk, the duo came to a collapsed apartment building surrounded by a squad of heroes. Manual recognized Echo, the location hero, due to his cybernetic bat-like attire. His torso was covered by a gray chestplate. A blood red scarf was wrapped around his neck. A metal mask covered the lower half of his face, while his eyes were hidden behind LED goggles. Gauntlets and boots protected his forearms and legs, while a black bodysuit covered any exposed flesh beneath.
Beside Echo was the Mending Hero, Sealer. His iconic black armor that reminded Manual of an old glue bottle gave him away. The helmet was sombrero like, giving the image of a glue nozzle. The hero had two regulators on his hands, which could be adjusted to release bonding agent. His boots had spike-like protrusions, which allowed him to excrete bonding agent through the bottom in order to climb walls.
Across from Sealer stood the therapeutic hero, Numb. She was well known for giving a heavenly feeling of painlessness when extracting victims from disaster situations. Her power allowed her to take away the feeling in a person's body for a short time. Her suit was red and white. A black utility belt holding first aid equipment hung from her waist. A clump of needles was hooked to her hip, for attacking pressure points on villains if there was ever a need.
And finally, the captain. He was only known by that name. He had what many described as a minor strength enhancer, but his true weapon was his intelligence, and his ability to approach an issue from any angle. He could adapt with the snap of a finger. Manual had always thought of his real quirk as just that, instant adaptation. His suit was nothing but everyday clothes with a bulletproof vest on top.
"Elektra, you got a water hero?"
"Right here." Manual said, stepping forward. "Where's the water coming in?"
The Captain nodded. "Over on the corner, a hydrant is spraying over an electrified area. We could turn the hydrant with super strength, but it's one of the only things keeping the building up."
"So you need me to turn the flow away?"
"Yes."
Manual studied the hydrant, observing the spray through a hole in the ruined wall. "I need a wrench to open the side over here, that should help me redirect the pressure."
The muscular hero stepped up and twisted off the hydrant's side cap. Manual raised his hands and redirected the water, causing it to jet out incredibly fast.
"I'm keeping more water from moving inside with my quirk. This thing's hooked up to the city water supply, so it won't stop. I can keep it up for a few hours max, you gotta move."
"Right, Sealer, you and Elektra move into the electrified room. Seal the other side of the hydrant and try to absorb that electricity. Echo, It's up to you to locate the civilians inside. Numb, It's up to you and me to safely extract the survivors."
The heroes split up, each working swiftly to rescue trapped civilians as Manual bought them time.
"Captain… Something's wrong."
"What is it Echo?"
"I can distinguish only two heartbeats."
"Did everyone else somehow die first? Were we too late?"
The listening hero shook his head. "Sir. There's no other forms of life in this area, not even insects."
The Captain's eyes widened, he quickly spoke over a comm in his ear. "Elektra, are you guys done in there?"
"Yeah cap, area's sealed. What's up?"
"Get out quickly. Echo's only picking up heartbeats. We could be dealing with quirk radiation."
"Right. Sealer and I will be out shortly."
The Captain walked over to Manual, informing him of the change in plans.
"Radiation? Just a sec, I have an EMF on me. Just a good idea for quirk fallout…"
The Captain raised his eyebrows, impressed at the hero's cool headedness and ability to look ahead. Manual withdrew the device from his suit and began walking around the building.
As the normal hero scanned the area, Elektra and Sealer emerged from the wreckage.
"I've got a full charge now. If you need, I can help move rubble or defend from potential threats." Elektra said.
The captain nodded. "Right now, stick with Sealer and help him hold the building up. Manual will get back soon from the radiation check."
As if on cue, Manual walked out from behind the building. "I've got normal readings, whatever is happening here is not radioactive."
The Captain nodded. "Echo, guide us in."
The location hero began entering the building. "From what I can discern, they're trapped together. The heartbeats are side by side."
The rescue party found their way into the main portion of the fallen building. Several of the walls were untouched, keeping the rooms that the group traveled through stable.
"Echo, is it safe enough in here to do an exact location?"
The location hero nodded. "It certainly seems so. Give me some space everyone."
The Captain nodded to the rest of the group, and the heroes stepped back. Echo moved to his knees and placed both hands upon the ground.
'Echo's main strengths are location civilians in disaster situations.' Manual went over in his head, reminding himself of the hero's abilities. 'His quirk isn't just super hearing, like several people speculate…'
With a breath, Echo began to make a series of high pitched chitters. After around a minute, the hero stood up. Dusting his gloved hands, Echo pointed towards a patch of the ceiling.
"The two are at the edge, there should be a path carved out by the wreckage."
The Captain nodded. "I need a leg up."
Numb held out her hands to boost the lead hero upwards. The Captain tapped along the ceiling before pulling out a boxcutter. With delicate strokes, he cleared away a panel on the ceiling and hopped in.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, keep an eye on the building's integrity so we don't all go down."
The remainder of the group nodded, and The Captain went ahead. The hero picked through fallen chunks of drywall and brick, only able to see by the light of a flashlight.
As the hero moved a chunk of rubble out of his way, he was hit by the stench of blood. With a quick bow, he began checking for signs of life.

"It's been almost a half hour, we sure he's okay?"
The group of heroes stood outside the building, searching for any signs of their leader. Their worry increased as time went on.
Manual watched with an interested stoic-ness, preparing for the worst mentally, should The Captain not return.
"I hear him. He's on his way." Echo said. "There!"
A figure slowly made its way out of the wreckage. The Captain, carrying a girl in his arms, and a woman on his back. Manual's eyes shone as he tapped a button on his helmet, taking a picture of the hero as the wreckage slowly crumbled behind him.
"Captain!"
Elektra ran to the hero, hoping to assist him with the injured civilians, but was stopped as she beheld him.
Looking closer, one would see that the hero was crying. Blood was on his face as well as dust and ash.
The two civilians he carried were unconscious. A beautiful little girl with pale skin.. Her cheeks were decorated with four freckles each, making little diamond-like patterns. Forest green hair spilled in lengthy curls from her head.
The woman on The Captain's back was similar in appearance. Forest green hair and pale skin. Her body was broken from the waist down. The lower part of her left leg was gone, leaving a bloody stump, while her right leg was mangled beyond repair.
"We need to get them… to a hospital…"
Manual ran forward, steadying the hero as he almost fell. "I've got you. I've got you. Echo, Sealer, take the woman from his back. Sealer, see if you can stop the bleeding on her wound. Elektra, take the girl.
"NO!"
Manual blinked. "What?"
"No… I made a promise before she blacked out…" The hero said. "I'll take the girl to the recovery tent…"
The Captain slowly walked towards the recovery zone, following Sealer and Echo as they rushed the girl's mother to Recovery Girl.
Manual nodded and followed suit, preparing himself for any situation where he would be needed.

Among the rubble on the edge of ground zero, an injured man in a tattered black suit coughed violently. Blood spilled out of his mouth as his multiple recovery quirks worked quickly to restore his face.
"Tough… luck…"
The man took another step, and a gas tank ruptured and exploded beneath him, scorching his face and causing him to scream.
All For One knelt on the ground clutching his cauterized face in agony as the rest of his organs began to shut down from the strain.
"No… Need. more. Time…"
The villain concentrated all of his quirks into his body, forcing it to work as his face settled into an irreparable lump of scar tissue.
All For One grunted as he lifted himself to his feet. With a snap of his fingers, a box materialized before him. The villain opened it, revealing a syringe filled with red liquid.
"Inko… Thank you."
Another snap, and All For One disappeared into thin air.

Hero Analysis.
Title: The Location Hero: Echo!
Name: ?
Quirk: Bat
Echo can do anything a bat can, except fly. His wings were destroyed by anti meta activists, causing him to grow up with only a fraction of his quirks abilities. Regardless of his past and limiters, Echo uses his powers to locate hostages, disaster victims, and bombs. If ever confronted, he can release high pitched sonic bursts to immobilize his targets.
Additional Info: Echo keeps his face covered, constantly in fear of being attacked for his bat like features.
Title: The Mending Hero: Sealer
Name: ?
Quirk: Sealant
Sealer can excrete a bonding agent that will fuse any two objects together on a molecular level. His strong suits lie in damage control, but he is also a formidable fighter, with one of the most dangerous combat quirks in existence. Using his sealant, he accidentally bonded two villains heads and brains together, fusing nerve and bone, and killing them instantly.
Additional Info: Sealer likes animals, and has a particular soft spot for fish.
Title: The Numbing hero: Numb
Name: ?
Quirk: Numb
Numb can instantly take away feeling from anything she touches, allowing for easy manipulation of body parts when in rescue situations. She is a formidable fighter as well, with the ability to shut down the bodies of any opponent with a single strike.
Additional Info: Numb started out as a licensed therapist, earning her physical therapy certification and license to practice acupuncture at the age of six.
Title: The Voltage Hero: Elektra
Name: ?
Quirk: Raijū
Simply put, Elektra consumes electricity. She can use that electricity in attacks, both far ranged, and long ranged. She finds herself most useful in rescue situations that include fallen buildings, as she can consume any electricity in the building that could cause fires, electric shock, etc.
Additional info: while her quirk is strong, it's drawback is that she can only consume electricity, meaning she must have a steady supply of energy to live day to day life. Because of this, Elektra's agency and house are directly next to power plants for her personal use.
