Izuka's eyes shot open as light filtered into the medical tent. The doctor who had cared for her the night before looked over towards her medical cot with a smile.

"Awake already?" She smiled. "I got a call from a Mitsuki Bakugo? She's going to come and check in on you two later today."

Izuka smiled. Her Aunt Mitsuki always knew how to help. When her mom had done double shifts at work, she had stepped in to babysit. Izuka and Mitsuki had built pillow forts and played "Heroes."

Mitsuki calmed her down when she had first skinned her knee after school, before helping her bandage it and watching her before Inko got home.

The woman was like a second mother to Izuka.

"Did auntie say what time?"

'Auntie? Perhaps what she always calls her… Of course, I hope that her head is okay.'

The doctor walked over to her. "Well, she called about two hours ago. You slept for quite a while. So we'll be expecting her soon. She said she had some exciting news."

Izuka smiled. "Can I go sit outside?"

The doctor smiled. "Let me get your vitals, and then you may go outside. Don't wander off please, it's very dangerous right now, and you're still recovering okay? Your brain got a bit jiggled up in your head there."

"Jiggled up?"

"Make sure you drink water and check in with me when your auntie gets here, okay?"

"Yes ma'am!" Izuka said, smiling.

After a quick checkup, Izuka was released. The little girl walked around the area, her face falling as she saw the disaster zone.

The recovery tents were set up on Musutafu's east park. Around the area, trees were knocked down, and rubble was everywhere.

Izuka sat down at the edge of the medical zone, letting her legs dangle over the large chunk of concrete beside one of the tents.

From her place on the concrete chunk. Izuka could see the whole disaster area. It was a massive crater, with demolished buildings and plumes of smoke. Every so often, a band of heroes would carry injured in, or march a villain out.

Izuka waved to each group, a smile on her face. Some of the heroes wore faces that had lost any inspiration or hope, yet her smile tended to instill a bit of confidence in them once again.

"I wasn't expecting to find you out here little one."

Izuka turned to find The Captain, his arm bandaged. His eyes were soft as they regarded the little girl.

The hero knelt down and patted Izuka's head.

"How is your mother doing?"

Izuka smiled. "The doctors are helping her as much as they can! I hope she gets better soon."

'Unaware… Hopefully she didn't get a concussion.'

"Do you have anyone coming to pick you up?"

Izuka shook her head. "No. I asked to stay with momma. But auntie Mitsuki is going to visit us!"

The hero smiled. "That's good."

"Mr. Captain? Why did you save us? The building was close to collapsing…"

'Probably a concussion with her speech pattern, also some age regression from psychological trauma…'

The Captain sighed and sat down beside Izuka. "I owed your mother a favor. At first I didn't recognize who she was, but then she pointed to you and spoke my name. I put two and two together."

Izuka blinked. "What did momma help you with?"

The Captain sighed. "She helped me get into hero school… It's a story for another day. Oh, look there, is that your auntie Mitsuki?"

Izuka followed the man's hand until her eyes fell upon a beautiful blonde woman. Her eyes were ruby red, and her skin perfectly smooth. Her hair spiked up and outwards in a shorter haircut. Upon her form was a red dress and black coat, which flapped in the air as she walked.

"AUNTIE MITSUKI!"

The Captain chuckled as the little girl was off like a rocket, her long hair flowing elegantly behind her despite her rushing manner.

Mitsuki laughed and caught the little spark plug and spun her around in a large hug, laughing as the girl squealed.

"Hey there squirt! How ya feelin'?"

Izuka smiled as the woman ruffled her hair, giggling as it flipped around messily.

"Auntie! I thought you hated it when my hair's a mess, and my head hurrrrts..."

Mitsuki chuckled. "Fine, fine. I'll stop. Seriously, how are you feeling?"

Izuka smiled again at her aunt. "Everyone has been really nice. I even met a hero!"

"Did you now?"

Mitsuki looked up and her eyes met The Captains. A flash of recognition passed through her face, before she nodded.

"I never expected you to be the one to save her Akira. After what happened at UA, I had thought you would ignore her."

"That's the past. I have changed, and I realized my faults… I had taken it too far, and she was just trying to help…"

Izuka blinked. "Auntie? What are you two talking about?"

"Oh nothing dear. Do you know of a place where we could sit down? My back is killing me…"

Akira's eyebrows raised as he noticed Mitsuki's belly.

"Well, I'm sure she can show you where she was sitting. I must be getting back to my team. Congratulations Mitsuki, raise them well."

The womans face flushed as Izuka led her away. The Captain sighed and took out his wallet, looking at a picture of him and a much younger Inko, with a white haired man in a lab coat behind them.

"Oh Inko… You and Doctor Shigaraki always did get along well. I never really expected you to end up with his child…"

Meanwhile, Izuka sat Mitsuki down at the edge of the camp. Izuka giggled as Mitsuki began telling stories of their pet pomeranian, Noisey, and funny stories of her husband.

"And before we go to see your mother, I have a surprise!" The blonde woman squealed while grabbing Izuka's hand. "You are going to be an Auntie!"

Izuka blinked. "You mean…"

"Uh huh." Mitsuki smiled. "I'm going to have a baby!"

The toddler smiled up at her auntie, the news still processing in her brain. "That's so cool! When he's big, we can play heroes together!"

"Promise that you'll look after him in school. He'll need his auntie upperclassmen there for him."

"Yes ma'am!" Izuka grinned.

The two made their way back to the medical tent that held Inko. Mitsuki prepared herself for the worst while Izuka remained blissfully unaware.

"Ah, you must be Mrs. Bakugo." The Doctor nodded. "Do you want to hear my full report?"

Mitsuki nodded. "I want to know what to expect."

The doctor nodded. "Well, the short of it is… I can't exactly say. There was a lot of damage, internal and external. We're lucky that we got her back to this state of health as is."

"How bad was the damage?"

"Other than the leg that she lost, She has a concussion, nine broken ribs, a fractured collarbone, etcetera etcetera. Internal burns from some bizarre quirk overuse."

"Wait, burns? Her quirk lets her move small objects."

The doctor nodded. "In some extreme situations, our quirks will respond to our needs. A quirk trauma response, if you will. It was theorized that this could lead to quirk evolution, but quirk evolution has been disproven many many times over. Regardless of that, this response was more than what many would consider, and beyond that incredibly violent. The psychic force she channeled through herself was so powerful it melted some of her bone fragments. Whatever her and her child were up against in this disaster, it had to be S class or higher."

Mitsuki bit the side of her cheek. "How is she now?"

"I managed to correct most of the breaks. One of her ribs was beyond repair, so I had to remove the fragments of it or risk an amalgam of conditions in the future. The leg is irreplaceable, if she could get a prosthetic, she might be able to walk again. Then there's her mental health. Her brain activity is incredibly erratic. Her functions could be fragmented, and at the very worst, nonexistent."

"Can I see her?" Mitsuki asked, a tear rolling down her cheek.

"Of course. She's in a coma currently, and as I said, there is no telling what will happen from here. She could wake up, or, she could pass away tonight."

Mitsuki nodded as she looked down at Izuka. The little girl twirled her green hair in her fingers, wondering what could be going on, her recovering mind not understanding.

Mitsuki's eyes began to tear up as she saw Inko. The woman was laid upon one of the nicer mobile beds. Machines were set up around her, monitoring her vitals. Her severed leg was wrapped in bandages, and her crushed leg was held up by a set of wires.

The Doctor sighed. "I managed to save what I could from her one leg, although it will still give her problems provided she survives. She'll be tethered to a wheelchair for life without a prosthetic. I'm sorry that I couldn't do more."

"No, you've done all you can. She's stable now because of you, thank you."

The doctor gave a bow. "Thank you for your kind words. If there's anything you would like to say, you may say it to her. I will give you time."

Mitsuki nodded as the Doctor steed away.

"Hey Ko-San, I'm just stopping in." Mitsuki sniffed as she went on. "We uh… we got the news just after the ultrasound earlier… You would've laughed at Masaru, the man cried more than you or Izuka ever could. I think all that time hanging out passed on your infinite tears quirk."

The blonde woman chuckled and rubbed her belly, where the baby she had recently found out about was currently beginning to develop.

"We were thinking of names right before we got the call. A few were jokes of course. I mean obviously who names their kid 'Mighty'? But my favorite one by far was when we thought of you and Izuka, naming him after her favorite food! Katsuki is my favorite so far… I think it's going to stick… Of course, you would talk about how the name seems almost arrogant, with what it means… But having him be close to your daughter… it seems just, right in a way."

Mitsuki smiled and wiped a tear from her cheek. "Wake up soon okay? We're all waiting for you."

Mitsuki stood up and gave a short bow, before exiting and pulling the curtain around Inko's bed.

"Thank you for giving me that time Ma'am… may I ask about my niece?"

The doctor nodded. "Of course. I'm afraid I will have to keep her for at least one more night. Her regression concerns me, but seeing her connect with several people around has given me insight into how to treat her. If you want to stop by, or have anyone she knows stop by, it may help her case. Other than that, she also has a few other injuries I will have to monitor. But her state is much better than her mothers. Given enough time, she will recover fully. If… Mrs. Midoriya passes, is guardianship to be passed to you?"

Mitsuki nodded. "As far as I know, however, depending on the circumstance, it might be someone else."

"What do you mean by that?" The doctor blinked.

"I'm afraid that I cannot exactly explain… just know that Mrs. Midoriya, despite her living space, is a very influential and wealthy individual. In this case, depending on whatever she and her daughter did see, her case may be handled by someone far higher up than we could imagine." Mitsuki sighed. "My husband and I will be visiting every day to check in on both of them. I have to go home now and rest."

"Of course, I could see when you walked in. Congratulations."

"Thank you."

Mitsuki gave Izuka a hug before she left, promising to return soon. As the visit drew to an end, Izuka's eyes became heavy.

"You've been using a lot of energy to walk about in your state." The doctor said, gently picking the girl up. "Lets run some tests and see what needs major fixes, and while I do that, you can get the rest that you need."

Izuka faded out of consciousness as her body was enveloped in warm blankets.

Izuka's eyes fluttered open as her ears were greeted by the soft chirp of crickets. The front flap of the medical tent rippled with a soft crackling noise as a breeze blew in.

Izuka looked around, finding that the tent was deserted by medical staff. The machines that monitored her and her mother gave steady beeps, which fell upon Izuka's ears like a gong because of the surrounding silence.

"Izukaaaa…"

The greenette jolted, looking around in fear. "W-who's there?"

No response was given. Izuka shivered as she looked in the darker corners of the tent, hoping that no monsters or villains were hiding within their depths.

"Izukaaaaaa…"

Izuka's eyes began to tear up. "No… Go away! I'm afraid!"

The invisible hand that had reached out to pat her head paused. The girls father sensed her fear.

"Why are you afraid…"

The girl nodded, covering her eyes. "Your voice… it's the same as the bad man, the man who fought All Might."

'Damn… her mind is filled with a storm of doubt, of fear, she fears me… her own father…'

Hisashi Midoriya pulled his hand back and deactivated his invisibility quirk, while activating a different quirk that would cover his face in shadow.

"I am no monster little one…"

"But you hurt All Might, you hurt the man who keeps everyone safe!"

Hisashi sighed. "I am sorry that you had to see that… But nobody is perfect."

"Perfect? Of course you aren't! You don't even have a face…"

Hisashi smiled sadly behind his fog of shadow. "They say… that love is blind."

"Love? How can a bad man who causes pain know about love?"

"Well then, why don't you tell me what love is little one?" Hisashi asked, sitting down in a small chair he pulled from one of the desks.

"Love is-is… Love is the greatest thing in the world! It keeps princesses safe in fairytales! And it helps knights slay the evil dragon! Love is what keeps hero's going, even when they know they might die! Love is greater than anything you will ever know!"

Hisashi gave a warm chuckle, causing the girls eyes to widen.

"Well, you certainly know a lot about love, don't you? Let me tell you something I know. Love can be a weapon."

"A weapon?"

"Oh yes. Remember how you talked about the knight slaying the evil dragon? Well what about the dragons mother, and father? What about the dragons children, who are now alone?"

Izuka looked at her hands. "I never thought about it like that…"

Hisashi gently patted the girl on the head. "Love is like a blade, a double edged sword. On the one hand, it can be used to do so much good, while on the other," A knife appeared in the mans hand, and he slashed open his palm. "The betrayal of a false love can cause great pain. But true love…"

Izuka watched in awe as a golden light smoothed over the mans hand mending it before her very eyes.

"True love can heal, as it chooses not to see the imperfections in our hearts, but remains blind to what may lie beneath."

The knife hovered before Izukas eyes. It was incredibly beautiful. A green blade with a black handle, two silver snakes intricately carved and set to hold a small gem upon its pommel.

"Love is beauty, pain, and ignorance, and with that ignorance, comes absence. Love is blind to it, for it knows what it craves will one day return."

The knife disappeared, and Izuka looked up at the man. "You are… love…"

The man gave a laugh, which turned into a terrible cough. "In some cases, yes. I guess I can be seen as love. Like here, with you and your mother.

Izuka blinked. "You love us?"

The man nodded. "I do. More than anything in the world. That's why I'm here honey."

Izuka blinked. "Honey?"

Hisashi sighed. "You and your mother are my family. You are my own blood my dear, and because of that, I cannot let either of you live crippled lives. Well… to an extent."

"Dad?"

"Yes sweetie… although, I'm sorry that you won't remember."

"Wait, what do you mean I won't-"

There was a flash of blue, and Izuka blinked, before letting out a yawn and going back to sleep. A pain itched upon Hisashis brow, as he could no longer cry.

"And beyond all of it… Love is cruel… Oh so cruel. Goodbye for a time my sweet family."

And with the deed done, His wife healed to a point, and his family's memories of him gone. All For One walked out of the tent, and winked out of existence.

Twelve Years Later:

A distant explosion caused the city streets to rumble. A tall young woman with long green hair and pale skin blinked as she finished her coffee, watching the smoke rise in the distance through the window of the cafe she sat at.

Izuka enjoyed the drinks made by the tiny cafe, they tended to be one of the best parts of her day.

Izuka was nineteen, preparing for the entrance exams for UA University. She had been barred from many other schools, for what reason, she didn't know. But since she had gained money after her mother passed, finding an education wouldn't be a problem for long.

The young woman checked her watch, finding that it was already three thirty, and made her way to the counter to pay for her coffee.

Stepping out from the cafe, Izuka was hit by a strong wind. She gave a slight squeak as she held down the dress she was wearing. Looking up, she found that whatever fight that had been going on had landed next to her afternoon coffee spot.

'Right as I have to go pick up Katsuki? Unfair…'

Izuka pouted and turned to walk away, only to stumble as an explosion rocked the battle behind her.

Izuka whipped around to find the hero had apprehended the villain. The large man in an orange vest stood tall, his face plastered with a grin as his body gave off a wave of smoke.

Ballistic, the bomb vest hero.

'His quirk allows him to generate exploding projectiles. He tends to just blast several outwards as a finishing move, not caring about the damage.'

The villain, just some simple shoplifter, was barely alive and had definitely seen better days.

Izuka marched up to the hero.

"OI! What the hell was that?"

"Um… ma'am?"

"DON'T YOU MA'AM ME! YOU ALMOST TOOK OUT THE WHOLE BLOCK LIKE THAT YOU IDIOT? Are you even a hero?"

Ballistic motioned to the shoplifter on his shoulder. "I uh… I caught the villain ma'am."

"Caught the villain did you, almost killed him is more like it! Look at the poor man! He's obviously starving and was desperate for food, go get him help!"

"Ma'am, I don't think you understand. He was using his quirk to attack others!"

"Oh, and what pray tell does his quirk do?"

"Um… His hands were sparking quite threateningly at a civilian."

"My ass…" Izuka grumbled. "Man, go take him to get help. Maybe instead of throwing an unfortunate person in prison, you could get him the help he needs. Oh, and while you're at it, pay for the damages you caused!"

Izuka huffed as she turned and walked towards Aldera Middle School.

'Maybe I've been hanging with Auntie Mitsuki for too long…'

Alright. Bakugo is seven years younger than Izuka. I did this for a few reasons. One, Izuka will be doing a lot of things that need her to be the same age as Dabi and Toga. This also will add to the pre plot and how they meet.

Next, I want a sort of duality between Bakugo growing up and finding how the system failed Izuka, strictly because of who her family is, while Izuka, who has had to be a calm and composed adult, thrown into maturity way too early, slowly spirals down to being way more chaotic. This won't be as in your face as the previous version of the story, but instead, she will be a lot more threatening, as she has an adults knowledge, with a child's freedom.

Stick with it, I'm trying to make sure that there aren't as many loose ends.

Sushui Out!
