CHAPTER 4: Captain Luffy. Villains in U.A.?
My Hero Academia world, U.A. teacher's office [17:14]
Right now, in the U.A. staff's room, we found five teachers finishing today's share of paperwork before returning to their homes, or that was what they were doing until the sudden entry of All-Might distracted them all.
Normally, when the Symbol of Peace enters the room the first thing he usually does is to greet everyone inside; however this time he only walked quietly to his desk, with his head low and without his signature smile; he seemed to be deep in thought, that would be the best way to describe him at the moment.
This was, of course, strange enough to catch the attention of his co-workers who were used to a more boisterous All-Might; although some of them, like Eraserhead, rapidly dismissed the situation and went back to what they were doing.
Only Midnight and President Mic, maybe out of curiosity or because they didn't want to do more paperwork, approached the pro-hero's seat to talk to him.
"Hey, All-Might. Is everything alright?" Asked the female hero.
"Huh?" He muttered a little surprised. For a moment he forgot where he was "Ah! It's NOTHING! Don't worry about me" Said All-Might's coming back to his usual cheerful self.
"Oh, come on. When you arrived you were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even notice us" Hizashi commented not believing him one bit "Your last lesson was with class 1-A, right? Did something happen there?"
That definitely made certain teacher interested in the conversation again "It's their second day and they are already problematic. What did they do now?" Asked Aizawa "Do you need to expel any of them?" He spoke again with a rather sinister smile.
"No, no. I mean, I was distracted because of something that happened with that class but it's nothing bad. I think" All-Might tried to explain in a hurry, not wanting misunderstandings.
"Then, what's wrong?" Intervened Midnight
"Aaaahh..." He sighed loudly "The class went really well, and except for one of them, there weren't any major injuries. The problem was that, at the end of the lesson, one of the students… said he wanted to challenge me to a fight"
"WHAT?! WHO?"/ "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"/ "That kid thinks to highly of himself…" Said Midnight, Cementoss and Ectoplasm at the same time. And honestly, those were the logic reactions that everybody in that world would have.
However the other two teachers present in the room remained calm, like they knew who he might be referring to. I can't say I didn't see this coming. Thought Aizawa rubbing his temple. I don't know if that brat is as strong as he alleged to be but I do know that he is obstinate enough to get what he wants.
"And who was the kid that challenged you?" Asked Hizashi despite knowing it.
"Well, in fact, it was your cousin Aizawa. Monkey D. Luffy" Admitted All-Might
I knew it. The two pro-heros thought but with little to no surprise visible in their faces.
"Monkey D. Luffy? Do you mean the student that got the first place in the practical exam?" Inquired Ectoplasm
"Yes, that's him." Said All-Might "And I admit that he is pretty strong and he seemed to be more experienced in hand-to-hand combat than anyone else in the class, but I think he got carried away by the praises he received in the last lesson. I tried to dissuade him but he doesn't listen; so Aizawa, Hizashi, how do I convince Young Luffy to withdraw from the fight?" He asked to the guardians of the boy.
For their part, both teachers only had to look at each other once before knowing the answer "You can't" They simply said.
"Huh? B-But, why?!"
"Because he is too stubborn, that's why" Said Aizawa with a boring expression "And if you want to get out of this I recommend you to fight him as soon as possible before he drives you mad"
"HA! That's right. Our boy sometimes is too obstinate for his own good" Laughed Hizashi. Though, I hope they fight. I really want to see Luffy's other transformations.
"Guys, are you serious?!" Exclaimed Midnight "Do you plan to let that boy fight the number one hero of Japan?"
Aizawa only shrugged "It's not like I could stop him"
"True. But if you are so determined not to fight him, you can also keep giving him excuses until he forgets about it" Suggested Hizashi.
"And do you think that's going to work?" Questioned Ectoplasm
"Honestly, if it's not related to fighting, he is not the sharpest tool in the shed, so there is a possibility that he will believe whatever All-Might says"
"Then I will do that. It not like I have other ideas" All-Might said "But I hope this works; I don't want to hurt him. Even if I restrain my power it could be too much for him to handle"
At this, Aizawa and Hizashi could only smirk. "All-Might, I think you are underestimating him. Yes, you are the strongest hero in Japan but that doesn't mean you can let your guard down. And much less with him" Commented Hizashi
"Are you implying that this boy, Luffy, could have a chance to defeat the Symbol of Peace?" Inquired Cementoss with an incredulous look.
"Maybe. If there is someone with a pair of tricks up his sleeve, it would be him. He is more than may seem at first glance so, if at the end you two fight, it would be wise to not be overconfident" Advised Aizawa as he looked directly at the hero's face.
"…" All-Might lowered his gaze "I will keep it in mind" He finally said. He is right. I shouldn't underestimate him despite being the number one hero… well, the number one for now. He thought touching his stomach. Besides, the kid is interesting, until now it's been obvious that he has been holding back in the physical exams. But the question now is how much.
My Hero Academia world, U.A. academy [8:25]
The next day, in the class 1-A, the students were starting to occupy his seats as they talked about what happened a few moments ago at the school gates.
"There were a lot of reporters" Said Mina
"Yes, I had trouble to enter for a moment because they blocked the exit of my limousine" Commented Momo
She's so rich
"They were asking about All-Might. The fact that he is a teacher in U.A. it is now known to the public so it makes sense that the press is camping outside the academy" Mentioned Uraraka.
"Yes, and now that we talk about All-Might" Said Sero as he turned to the straw hat boy's direction who was, to anyone's surprise, sleeping with the legs on the table "Hey Luffy, wake up!" He yelled.
"Wha…aaahh!" Luffy indeed woke up however due to his position and the sudden call; he ended up falling to the floor. Inevitably, this was followed by the laughter of his classmates who watched with amusement how a drowsy Luffy was trying to get up.
"That wouldn't have happened if you had put your legs down when I told you so. Besides, although the lesson hasn't started yet, falling asleep in the middle of the classroom is a great disrespect not only to the institution but also…" Lectured Iida to Luffy, well, he rather tried to before he was interrupted.
"Aye, aye… now shut up, it's too early for this. Man sometimes you remind me of Nami but without the punches" Said Luffy picking his ear "And you, weird elbows why did you call me?"
"My name is Sero, S-E-R-O. Is that so difficult?" He said but after seeing Luffy's blank expression he just decided to let it pass, again. "Aaaahh… I call you to ask why you challenged All-Might. You went home so fast that I couldn't ask you yesterday"
After Sero formulated his question, the face of his classmates changed in a moment, as they remembered what happened at the end of yesterday's combat lesson.
"I almost forgot it. It was too unreal to believe it" Said Kaminari putting his hands on his head "What were you thinking, Luffy?! He is the strongest pro-hero in Japan!"
"It's true Luffy-san, you know who All-Might is, right?" Izuku asked to which the other only nodded "Then, why did you do that?"
"What do you mean, why? He is strong so I want to fight him, is that not enough?" Luffy Replied confused
"But Luffy you must understand that All-Might is league of his own, he is far above us. If you fight him you could be badly hurt" Intervened this time Kirishima "You are pretty strong but I think this is too much even for you"
"Huh? Are you saying that again? We haven't fight yet, you can't know what will happen" Luffy said with determination "I get that he is very strong here, I felt it when we met him yesterday, but I fought people more dangerous than him and I beat them. Shishishishi, so I am not worried" He laughed not realizing how the rest were looking at him, even a certain ash blond-haired boy who got the last part of their conversation.
That little piece of shit fought people stronger than All-Might? Ridiculous. He thought
I don't know if it's true but, for the time I know him, Luffy-san not seems the type of person that would lie about something like this. For his part, this was what Izuku, and a good part of the class I have to say, was thinking.
"People more powerful than All-Might? Are you kidding, right?" Asked Jiro after a moment of silence.
"No. I haven't fought against Mr. Steroids but I can feel his aura and it's not as strong as other people I know"
"You can feel his aura?" Luffy just nodded again "And ours? You can feel it too?" Inquired Tokoyami just to receive another positive response "How?"
"Because I have haki" Luffy simply said.
Haki? Isn't that what he used yesterday? Pondered Mina
Is that another quirk? Thought Izuku as dozens of questions started to appear in his mind. I have to write this.
"Luffy-san, how-…?" However he couldn't finish his question due to the appearance of his homeroom teacher who was in his sleeping bag crawling around the classroom like a caterpillar.
When he finally arrived to his desk he started to talk. "Good work on yesterday's combat training. I already saw the videos and the results and even All-Might is very happy with your progress" Said Aizawa with his usual monotone voice "However they are two things that must be addressed. First, Bakugo, you are talented so stop acting like a kid. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement, especially in a battle"
"Tssk. I know"
"And Midoriya" The teacher continued saying "You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying for the rest of the year that you can't control your Quirk. You have a good potential so try to fix it" He recommended to the boy who was listening nervously to his speech. Well, it's good that my face keeps intimidating them. With someone like Luffy at home sometimes I forget how scary I normally look to them. "Did you understand?"
"Yes, sir!" Replied Izuku
"Good. Now let's get down to our business. Sorry about the late notice but today you all must…" He said, what made the students feel the tension of the moment "…decide on a class representative"
Finally, a normal school activity.
"Hey, little bush. What's a class preventative?" Whispered Luffy to Izuku
"It's called a class representative Luffy-san, not preventative"
"That's what I said"
"Yes, yes. And answering to your question, it's like the leader of the class and is normally elected by…"
"Then, it's like being the captain of a pirate ship!" Interrupted an excited Luffy.
"Y-yes. I suppose" He answered, not fully understanding how he came up with that.
"YEI! Guys, I'll be that class thing. I'll be your captain!" Luffy yelled making his voice to be heard above the other students who were trying to give their own reasons to be chosen as the class representative; all of them failing in the attempt.
"The captain you say?" Said Momo once her classmates calmed down. She was a little confused just like the rest of the class.
"Yes, I will be the captain of this crew" Replied Luffy with standing up in the chair and with a foot in the table.
"Crew? Are we now in the marines?" Laughed Kaminari looking at Luffy's silly pose.
"Ugh! The marines? That's horrible, pirates are much better. I will be the pirate captain of this class" Exclaimed Luffy to the bewilderment of some and the amusement of others.
"But, we want to be heroes, are not pirates usually bad people? Villains even?" Asked Mina playfully making some of his classmates laugh.
"That's not true!" Answered Luffy seriously "Being a pirate is awesome, better than being a hero, and a lot of them are good people" He, of course, was thinking about pirates like Shanks, Whitebeard, his brother, Torao and even his own crew.
"And how do you know that?" Questioned again Mina with a smirk on his face.
"Because I am a pi-…Mmmmm!" Luffy was about to answer when the scarf of Aizawa wrapped around his head preventing him from saying something he shouldn't have.
That damn brat, always causing me trouble. Today I will definitely throw him to a water tank. Thought Aizawa. "What nonsense are you saying? Don't waste more time and do what I told you. Did you understand?" He said with a murderous face.
"YES, SIR!" The whole class answered terrified.
"Good" Said Aizawa as he abruptly released Luffy from his scarf's grip "Now, don't disturb me until my nap is over" He warned them before going back to his sleeping bag.
"…"
"Mr. Aizawa is right, this is a serious matter. Being the class representative is a job with great responsibility, being a leader is not something that anyone could do." Said Iida.
"I can do it!" Intervened Luffy raising his hand.
"I would be better than a rubber idiot like you" Fumed Bakugo glaring at the straw-hat boy.
"Huh? But to be a leader you have to be the strongest and that's me" Said Luffy bluntly.
"ARE YOU SAYING THAT I AM WEAKER THAN YOU?!"
"Silence everyone!" Said Iida as he stood between the two "As I thought the only way to choose our leader democratically is to do an election and each one vote for who we want to be the representative" He explained hopeful that the person that will be elected will be him
"Are you sure that is the best way?" Questioned Kaminari
"We haven't known each other for long, so how can we know who we should trust?" Said Tsuyu
"That's true. Everyone will vote for themselves" Said Kirishima agreeing with Tsuyu.
"And that's precisely why whoever receives multiples votes will be the most suitable person for the job. If at the end we have a tie we'll use other method" Argued Iida. This ended up convincing most of the class.
The minutes passed and ten minutes later the results were shown in the blackboard. The only two students with more than one vote were Monkey D. Luffy, with 3 votes, and Midoriya Izuku, with 2 votes.
"Shishishi, I told you I'll be the captain" Luffy said jumping around the class excited, thinking that he is in a similar position that the one he had in his original world.
Oh God, oh God, OH MY GOD. What am I going to do? Thought Izuku getting more nervous by the moment.
"What idiots voted for that rubber airhead?!" Yelled Bakugo very angry against his classmates making a certain pink-skinned girl and a green-haired boy to look off nervously to the sides.
"Did you really think that with your explosive personality they will vote for you?" Said Sero pissing off Bakugo even more.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY SHITTY FACE?!"
Zero votes. Zero votes. Those were the words that kept repeating over and over again in Iida's mind. I can't help it. I can only accept the result and support Luffy's role as the leader of class 1-A. Although that was easier said than done. Despites his previous thoughts, Iida's body, especially his face, reflected the tension and disappointment he was really feeling.
"Huh? Glasses are you okay? Do you need to poop?" Asked Luffy upon seeing the weird faces the blue-haired boy was making.
"Silence!" Said Aizawa with a loud voice "If you are talking that means that you have already chosen. Luffy, Midoriya, come to the front!"
As always, Luffy just stood there bouncing to the sides and smiling meanwhile our little bush was giving the opposite image.
"Then, the class rep will be Monkey D. Luffy and the deputy class rep will be Midoriya Izuku" Announced Aizawa with his monotone voice.
"S-Seriously? I-Is this not a mistake?" Izuku asked with a trembling voice and standing as rigid as a statue
"Hey, relax! You are now my first mate and the vice-captain, you need to keep it cool!" Said Luffy thinking about Zoro. "If you could use three swords it'd be better"
"Thr-three swords, what are you talking Luffy-san? How am I supposed to use three swords?"
"Are you stupid? With your hands and your mouth, it's obvious"
"WITH MY MOUTH?!" Exclaimed Izuku not knowing if it was a joke or not.
"Ey Luffy!" Intervened Kirishima in that moment "So now we have to call you captain?" He asked with a little of harmless mockery in his voice.
"Yep, that's right!" Replied Luffy happily "And you are my nakamas now so if someone messes with you have to tell me to kick his ass, okay?" He said with a determined, and almost fierce, look in his eyes, surprising some of his classmates for his response.
"Then, you are saying that you will protect us-kero?" Aked Tsuyu receiving a nod from the straw-hat boy "Even from the villains?"
"Yes! A captain is the first to fight to keep his crew safe, and that's my job!" Affirmed Luffy gaining some smiles from his classmates.
Maybe it won't be so bad to have him as the class representative. Thought Momo as well as some other students.
Again, Luffy has shown me he is superior to me. I can't keep feeling sad for not being chosen, I have to focus in helping our "captain"; if I work hard I could even become his other right-hand man". Said Iida to himself with more confidence.
Luffy-san is amazing. Thought Izuku looking at his 'captain' with admiration. I wish I could be like him; for now, I don't think I have what is needed to be the deputy class rep.
"Tssk, idiots" Whispered Bakugo angrily
The rest of the class passed with relative calm until the bell rang indicating the end of the lesson and the start of the break for lunch.
As always, Luffy was practically inhaling the food, eating a large quantity of dishes before he decided he was already full. In his table they were seated most of class 1-A, even Bakugo was not so far from them.
"I still can't believe that you eat so much. Are you even human?" Said Kaminari looking with round eyes at the pile of plates at his right. For his part, Luffy only laughed in response.
"Hey, Iida" Called Uraraka
"Yes?"
"I've been thinking, you are very formal when you speak and said you were in a private school, right?" He nodded "Then, are you a rich boy?" She asked with curiosity.
"R-Rich… Ahem!" He cleared his throat "I tried to change the way I talked to avoid being called that, but I guess I didn't do a good job" He said while Uraraka, Izuku and a couple of his other classmates were looking at him waiting for him to continue. "Aaah. Yes, my family has been heroes for generations. Do you know the turbo hero, Ingenium?
"Yes, I know him!" Replied Kirishima along with Mina "I've seen him from time to time in the TV"
"Of course" Said this time Izuku "He is a really popular hero who has sixty-five sidekicks working at his Tokyo agency! Wait, don't tell me…"
"Yes! He is my elder brother" Finally revealed Iida proudly
"WOW!"/ "That's incredible!"/ "Amazing, I didn't expect this…" Those were the reactions of his class. For his part, Luffy only understood that the boy with glasses had a brother like him.
"He is a likable hero who honors the rules and leads the people. I set my sights on being a hero because I always wanted to be like my brother"
"I know what that's like" Said Luffy catching their attention "I've always wanted to be as strong as my brothers. Since I was little we used to fight every day in the forest but I could never beat them"
"So you have more than one brother?" Asked Momo, not really sure if she should ask about them knowing the cause of Luffy's scar. Although it seemed he didn't mind.
"Yeah, I have two, Ace and Sabo. They are the best"
"And what are their Quirks?" Inquired Mina this time.
"Both have fire powers, and they are really powerful" He replied remembering that the two had eaten the mera-mera no mi.
"Like Endeavour, then?" Said Kirishima
"Who?"
"And where are they now?" Asked Uraraka innocently without realizing her mistake until Luffy answered her.
"Well, Ace is dead" He simply said, remaining oblivious to the atmosphere that was formed "And Sabo is working with my dad"
"Luffy, I am sorry. I didn't-…" Tried to apologize Uraraka but was interrupted by a sudden noise coming from the speakers.
*There has been a level three security breach. All students please evacuate outdoors promptly*
"Wait, what is a level three security breach?" Said Iida not understanding what was happening.
"It means that someone is trespassing on school grounds" Replied on of the senior students "I've never seen anything like this in three years I've been here! You should hurry too and get out of here"
And as he was told, Iida hurried everyone else in his table to get out of the cafeteria as soon as possible; however, the other students seemed to have the same idea causing a traffic jam in the middle of the hallway.
"Don't push!"
"Wait, I'm falling"
"I said, DON'T PUSH!"
"What the hell is happening?" Luffy said trying to make some space for his friends, who are being crushed by the stampede of students, especially some of the girls due to his short stature. "Are you guys okay?"
"Not much, I can't even breathe!" Yelled Mina
"Me too-kero"
"As expected of the best of the best. Everyone reacts so quickly in a crisis!" Said Iida not in a better situation than the rest of his classmates.
"They were so quick that now is a mess" Shouted Izuku trying to not get swallowed by the crowd.
"Ouch" Whined Iida as he was almost thrown to one of the windows "In any case, who in the world trespassed?" He said looking outside "Huh? That's… the press!"
"Oi! What are you looking at?" Said Luffy arriving at Iida's side
"They are the reporters from this morning. We have to warn the others that there is no danger" He said to Luffy "Attention everyone! It's just the press, there is nothing wrong!" Iida yelled as loud as possible; unfortunately, the people didn't pay attention to him and his voice ended up buried by the shouts of the others "It's useless, everyone is so panicked that no one has noticed me"
"Hey Glasses" Luffy called him "You know what's happening, right?" He nodded "Then, I will make them listen to you"
"But how?! They are so focused trying to get out of the school that they are not paying attention to anything else" Explained Iida trapped against one of the walls.
"Shishishi. Don't worry, if I use it it'll be easy!" He said with a smirk.
Use it? Thought Iida a little clueless.
Although that confusion was short-lived as he saw Luffy taking a big breath of air before shouting to the top of his lungs "EVERYONE! STOP RIGHT NOW!"
The shout was followed by a little wave of conqueror's haki, not so strong to make anyone faint but enough for everyone to freeze immediately on the spot.
What is this feeling? My body doesn't respond
I can't move. I'm terrified
What's this? A villain's Quirk?
Those were the general thoughts of the people who, just moments ago, were in a state of panic. In a second, only silence filled the corridor; and the next that was heard was Luffy's carefree voice.
"Great! Now that you are more relaxed listen to him. He has something important to tell you" He said slapping Iida's back "Your turn"
"Huh? Y-Yes, of course" Said Iida coming back to reality. What was that? No, I don't have time to think about it. I have to appease the students. "Everyone, everything is fine! It's just the Media; there is nothing to panic about! I repeat, everything is fine!"
His announcement woke up everyone from the little trance they were in and also managed to calm them down by the time the police arrived to the school gates. At the end, all the students could go back to their respective classrooms without problems.
A little later, in class 1-A, we found Luffy standing again in front of his classmates and a nervous Izuku next to him.
"Why are we here again?" Asked Luffy picking his nose.
"I-I have something to say" Said Izuku "I think… that Tenya Iida should take my place as the deputy class rep! With Luffy-san's help, he was able to solve the previous situation in a short time. He understood what needed to be said and done, so I think he would fit better in my position. I-I mean, if that's okay with Luffy-san too, of course"
Luffy only shrugged. "Sure. Why not? Glasses is great, he will be a good first mate"
"I'm good with that too, Iida was a big help at the cafeteria today" Intervened Kirishima
"Yes, you are right" Agreed Kaminari
"Aaaah. You're wasting my time" Interrupted Aizawa still in his yellow sleeping bag "I don't care who will take that position. Just hurry up and solve it quickly"
"Well, if Midoriya has nominated me, the it cannot be helped" Said Iida getting up from his chair "From this day forth I, Tenya Iida, humbly accept the position and promise to do my best to carry out the duties of the deputy class representative" He announced before turning to Luffy's direction and bowing his head "I hope I can be a good right-hand man, captain"
"Shishishi. Don't be so tense Glasses" Luffy replied with a big smile "You'll do great!"
Meanwhile, at the U.A. entry, principal Nezu along with Recovery Girl and two other teachers were in front of the pulverized gates.
"How were ordinary members from the press able to do something like this" Said Nezu, concern visible in his voice. "Someone else instigated this. But the question now is, did someone evil slip in or was it intended to be a declaration of war?"
My Hero Academia world, U.A. academy [14:50]
The next day
"Listen! Today the hero basic training will be a little different. At the end it turned into a class with three instructors instead of one as usual; All-Might, me and another person" Announced Aizawa to the class.
"Turn into?" I wonder if it's a special case because of yesterday's incident. Thought Izuku.
"Excuse me, sensei!" Sero suddenly spoke up with his hand up "What'll we be doing?"
"Disasters, shipwrecks, accidents and everything in between. It's a recue training" The teacher explained making everyone excited.
"Rescue, eh? It looks like it'll be a lot of work this time too" Commented Kaminari remembering how tired he was after the first lessons of hero training.
"This is exciting! I'm already motivated" Kirishima said.
"Me too!"
"Hey, I'm not done" Said Aizawa interrupting their conversation "This time you can decide if you want to wear your costume or not this time because some of them will limit your abilities. Also, the training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That's all. Start getting ready" He finished saying as he was heading to the door.
Rescue. It's one of the most important trainings to become a great hero. Today I will give my all. Thought Izuku
"Hey, Luuufffyy. Wake up, captain!" Said Uraraka shaking his shoulders.
"Huh?" Said Luffy still a bit sleepy "What's happening?" He asked as he saw his temporary "crew" taking their costume suitcases
"We are going to do hero training in a new battle ground" Said Iida "We have to take a bus because is quite far from here"
"Yahooo! We'll fight again" Exclaimed Luffy already running towards the exit.
"Class Rep! Wait!" Said Iida following him with his and Luffy's suitcases in his hands "Don't run in the hallways; it's against the rules and you have to set an example! Also, you have to organize the class before getting on the bus!" He lectured him when he managed to catch him by the collar.
"That's not fun!" Luffy whinned.
"I'm sorry but as your vice-captain my duty is to give you my advice so you can make the best possible decisions" Iida informed him as he adjusted his glasses.
"Aye, aye… now, let's go" Said Luffy as resume his way but this time dragging Iida with him.
"I said it's prohibited to run in the hallways!" Yelled the boy trying to get off his grip.
"Shishishishi, you are funny!"
My Hero Academia world, U.A. academy, USJ [15:10]
Class 1-A was now inside the bus talking among each other, some of them excited to prove themselves in this training, and others already lamenting the muscle pain they'll get after they finished the lesson. At that moment, Tsuyu decided to talk about what she has been pondering for some time.
"Hey, guys" She said drawing the attention to her "I have been thinking and during yesterday's incident, did you not feel something right before everyone went silent? Like an invisible force?"
"..."
"Yes, I felt it too" Replied Izuku after a moment of silence "It's like someone entered in my mind paralyzing me on the spot"
"That also happened to me!" Commented this time Kirishima "I was really confused, my body wasn't responding to my orders"
"Me too" Said Kaminari
"I also felt it. I was really afraid for a moment" Confessed Mina
And so on, the rest of the class also shared how they had the same experience, some more intense than others.
For his part, Iida could only think in one thing. "Shishishi. Don't worry! If I use it it'll be easy". That's what Luffy said before 'that force', like Tsuyu called it, appeared. But what was that? What was the thing he was referring to? A Quirk? Iida was about to asked him in front of the class when the boy in question decided to speak.
"Ah! You mean that thing. Sorry, it was me" Luffy said bluntly.
"…"
"WHAAAT?!" It was everyone's response before each of them started to bombarded him with questions.
"What do you mean it was you? How did you do it?" Asked Izuku with wide eyes.
"Tha-…"
"It was a Quirk?"
"Well, it-…"
"Wow, awesome"
"Rubber brain, you better tell me what shitty trick you used before I explode your face" Yelled Bakugo, as angry as always.
"Silence!" Said Iida stopping his classmates from speaking further "If you want answers you must let him explain without interrupting him. Now you can continue, captain"
"Thanks Glasses, you are a good first mate" He said making Iida to feel proud for a moment.
"Cut the crap shitty brain. Explain now!"
"Aye, aye… well, what you felt was just my haki" Luffy finally said making the people around him more confused than before.
Wait. He said haki? Thought Mina. "Hey Luffy, that was what you used to predict the ice attack from Todoroki that time, right?" She said recalling their first lesson with All-Might.
"And what you said you used to sensed our auras" Completed Tokoyami
"Yes, that's right!"
"But what's haki?" Asked Izuku still not understanding anything.
"It's a mystery ability" Luffy simply said smiling.
Aaaah. He is an idiot. They thought
"Explain it better, dumbass" Demanded Katsuki.
"Okay, okay. Then…Mmmmm. How can I say it?" Said Luffy thinking really hard as he tried to not say anything about his original world, like Eye-bags told him. He didn't want to be without meat for a week "It's like using you willpower as a weapon to intimidate other people. Yeah, that's it"
Although, everyone was still confused, until Momo talked.
"Your willpower? So what you are saying is that you can concentrate your willpower in your body and then release it as waves?" She said trying to improve Luffy's explanation.
"Yes! You got it" Confirmed Luffy despite not really understanding the last part.
"Wow"/ "You are amazing"/ "It's also a little scary…"
Tssk. Idiots, I am much better than that rubber airhead and his little tricks. Thought Bakugo with his ego still intact.
"But I only used a little" Intervened Luffy again.
"A little?! And what happens when you use it all?" Asked Tsuyu.
"Well, you wi-…" But when he was going to reply Aizawa spoke up in an attempt to distract them from asking too many questions about his powers.
"Stop messing around we are already here" He said from the front seats.
They descend from the bus in order and when they were all of them out, they spotted the third instructor Aizawa was talking about "Everyone. I have been waiting for you" Said the U.A teacher and pro-hero Thirteen.
"It's the Space Hero, Thirteen!" Said Izuku with eyes full of admiration just like the rest of the class "She has rescued tons of people from disasters!"
"Oh, I love thirteen!" Exclaimed a really excited Uraraka.
However, our captain was another story. "Wow! A talking marshmallow"
"Luffy, how dare you!" Fumed Uraraka really offended by his comment.
"Hahaha, Hizashi was right, you are a funny little punk" Laughed the pro-hero not believing that the boy was insulting her intentionally "Now, let's go inside without delay! We have a lot to do today" She said as she turned to the entry of the USJ building with class 1-A following her closely.
"Wow, it looks like Universal Studios Japan!" Kirishima said when they were inside.
"It's like an amusement park. This will be fun!" Said Luffy already wanting to go to the "water park", as he called it, not remembering that he can't swim in this world either.
"This is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters. It's called the "Unforeseen Simulation Joint", or "USJ" for short. And now before starting with the class let me say a couple of things. I am sure you are all aware of my Quirk, Black Hole…" Thirteen started explaining.
As expected, everyone was listening to her words very attentively; well everyone except for a certain straw-hat boy, how surprising.
For his part, Luffy was looking like a kid in a candy store, his pirate instincts were telling him to explore every corner of the building, and he was about to give in when something stopped him.
He was trying to decide where to go first when his observation haki alerted him that something was wrong. His face, full of excitement, now wore a serious expression not very usual to see in him; then, he began to walk to the front not caring about the marshmallow speech.
"…hey, hey. Young boy you can't go down there yet. I still have to explain what we are going to do" Said the Space Hero when she noticed that Luffy was approaching the stairs.
"Captain? What are you doing?" Asked Hagakure. Her classmates were going to ask too but they decided not to when they saw Luffy's face.
I'm having a déjà vu again. "Kid, what's happening?" Inquired Aizawa as he walked to his side, hands already in his scarf.
"Something's coming. Something bad"
And not even five seconds passed when all the lights began to fail, to go out shortly thereafter, and a weird purple portal, similar to the one Aizawa and Luffy saw the day they met, appeared in front of the fountain.
"Kids, gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students" Said Aizawa.
"What's that?" Asked Kirishima looking at the fountain
From the purple portal a guy with… hands? in his face and body showed up, but unfortunately he was not alone. Soon after dozens and dozens of villains started to emerge from that same portal.
"Is this like the entrance exam? The lesson's has already started?" Spoke up Kirishima again.
"I said don't move!" Aizawa almost yelled when Izuku was going to take a step forward. "Those are real villains, so stay back. That goes for you too, kid" He said this time to Luffy.
"No" He refused without even looking at him; his eyes seemed to be fixed to the weird guy with a hand in his face, the feelings he was getting from him were very dark.
"Luffy!"
"I said no" The boy said as he finally turned his head to Aizawa's direction "I've never run from a fight and now I am the captain so my job is to protect them" He declared as he briefly looked back "And I don't care if you don't like it, I'll still gonna do it"
Aizawa then decided to only give up as he knows first-hand how stubborn he can be when he wants.
"Tssk, do what you want. But if you get hurt don't blame me later"
"That's not gonna happen!" Luffy said recovering a little from his smile. If he was honest, not all his motives were as good as he claimed; deep down he really wanted to fight. He has been in this world for a while now and he was starting to get bored.
Without having heard the previous conversation between Aizawa and Luffy, the other students were watching with fear how villains kept appearing from that purple hole.
"Villains?! There's no way they could get into a hero school, and much less U.A., right?" Said Ojiro expecting this to be a bad joke.
"Sensei, what about the trespasser sensors? Why haven't they worked?" Asked this time Momo.
"We have them of course, but…" Started to say Thirteen not understanding why the alarm hasn't been activated.
"Maybe they have someone with a Quirk that can deactivate the sensors" Started to say Todoroki "Also, this doesn't look like a random attack either; this is a well-organized plan with goal in mind. They didn't just chose to strike an isolated area, separated from the main building, but they did it during the time a class was supposed to be held here"
This got everyone thinking until the voice of his homeroom teacher disrupted their line of thought.
"Thirteen start the evacuation" Said Aizawa approaching them "And Kaminari try to contact the school, if they have someone blocking the communications maybe your Quirk can annul it"
"Yes, sir"
"But sensei, what about you? Will you fight all of them by yourself?" Asked Izuku very worried for his teacher.
"He won't. Don't worry little bush, I'm gonna fight too" Replied Luffy with confidence.
"But Luffy-san…" He tried to talk without success
"And now, let's see which ones can still stand" He said with a smirk under his hat.
Huh? All of them thought not understanding what was happening until they felt it again.
Luffy released a wave of conqueror's haki ten times stronger than the one in the school hallway and the afterwards effects were only the expected; half of the villains were starting to fall one after another before the incredulous gaze of all the people present in the building, especially one that belonged to a certain light-blue haired villain.
What the hell is that power? He said, barely whispering, as he looked up to see a boy with a straw-hat standing in front of them with a big mocking smile. It was coming from him. He realized.
"Wow, there are more left than I thought. Then let's try with another thing" He said raising an arm to the side "Gear Second!"
And like a flash, in just one jump our captain passed from being at the top of the stairs to be above some groups of criminals "GOMU GOMU NO…" He yelled to then cover his arm in Armament Haki and throw it way back.
This caused every villain and student to look at him in shock as they saw how his now black arm was starting to be engulfed in fire.
"…RED HAWK!" He said as his fist met the ground, creating a big explosion that also reached the villains that were in the surrounding area.
"Well that's a new trick" Commented Aizawa with a little smile on his face "He could fight them all by himself but I guess I need to join the battle too if I don't want to look bad" He said as he also jumped to the battlefield, thankful that the kid has made his job easier.
And if one wasn't enough for them, now the criminals had to deal with two experienced fighters, one able to erase his Quirks and with excellent hand-to-hand combat skills and the other with a monstrous strength and speed. They were basically sweeping the floor with them.
"I think we must proceed with the plan sooner than we had expected, Shigaraki" Suggested the guy responsible for the portal.
"Indeed" He agreed as he saw the pro-hero and the… student? defeating his troops like they were practice targets "We need to get rid of them. They are too annoying"
Meanwhile, back to our class, they were with his eyes fixed in the battlefield, not sure if right now they should be afraid or amazed.
"Luffy is definitely way stronger than we thought" Commented Mina.
"Yes, he is so mainly. And his fire attack from before was amazing" Said Kirishima with admiration.
"He is literally on another level. But the fact that we only have seen him fight like this now is proof enough that he has been holding back with us" Intervened this time Tokoyami, receiving several nods.
Holding back? Ridiculous, That rubber brain was just lucky. If I could fight I would be even better than him. Bakugo thought as he tried to take a step towards the stairs, only to be stopped by the teacher's arm.
"I won't let you go down there. I know that you want to help them but you can't, the best thing we can do now is to get out of here and warn the other U.A. teachers" Said Thirteen determined to not put more students in danger.
"Sensei is right. Our captain will be fine with Mr. Aizawa by his side. We should evacuate as soon as possible to avoid being a burden to them" Agreed Iida "Now, let's go!" He said leading his class to the exit.
However, they stopped when the villain that was with the masked-hand guy, the one who created the portal, now appeared in front of them.
Bakugo and Kirishima tried to attack him unsuccessfully, making it impossible for Thirteen to use her Quirk in time; and as a result, this caused the disappearance of most of them, except for three or four that managed to avoid the purple smoke.
"Gomu Gomu no…Gatling!" Luffy said punching several villains before noticing that the weird smoke-guy was attacking his friends.
"Damn it! I only blink once and the most problematic guy runs away" Cursed Aizawa.
"Don't worry Eye-bags, I can feel them. They are still here but in different places" Luffy reassured him. "There are bad guys with them, but they are strong enough to kick their asses"
"Aaaah" He sighed "Thanks, your haki is pretty handy in these situations" Replied Aizawa now being able to concentrate in the fight knowing that his students are safe, at least to an extent.
The time passed and both, Eraserhead and Luffy, kept beating up the villains that dare to cross their way; the only problem was that, despite the kid's help, the pro-hero's stamina was not nearly as high as that of his student.
This was noticed by the villain called Shigaraki as he saw how Aizawa was starting to get more tired by the moment.
"This is so fun! Who's next?" Said the straw-hat boy as he left unconscious several criminals with one kick.
"Don't be an idiot, kid. This is not a game!" Aizawa reprimanded him; he was enjoying it too much.
A couple of minutes later, some students manage to come back to the main battlefield like Tsuyu, Izuku and Mineta that were coming out from the water zone, as well as Kirishima, Bakugo and Todoroki who also managed to escape from their respective areas.
All of them were thinking if it was a good idea to intercede in the battle when they heard Luffy's scream
"Eye-bags" He shouted but it was too late, even with his future sight haki he couldn't prevent his teacher from getting hurt.
Aizawa was knocking out three villains that tried to ambush him when he felt a presence behind him. The guy with a hand in the face attacked him directly and for a moment he thought he could take him down, until the criminal found a breach in his defense. With only one touch he was able to disintegrate the skin of his elbow, and probably he would've done the same with his muscle and bones if he hadn't moved away.
"Sensei!" His students yelled very worried. With his right arm now useless he won't be able to fight much longer and they knew it.
"You are really cool, Eraserhead! Even when you are at a disadvantage, you didn't hesitate to jump to the battle to protect those brats, although one of them seem to have jumped with you" Shigaraki said as he watched how Luffy was busy dealing with more than thirty villains at the same time "But you know, sadly I am not the final boss"
Aizawa, already panting, was trying to understand what he was referring to when a huge figure appeared at his back. It was a massive villain of the size of All-Might with black skin and his brain exposed; he could only contemplate him for a brief moment, cold sweat running down his back, before that thing pinned his head to the ground breaking his arms and several ribs in the process.
For their part, his students were too shocked to move, they felt useless but at the same time they couldn't looked away from that horrible scene.
"What do you think of him Eraserhead? He is the anti-Symbol of Peace; a creature capable of taking down All-Might himself!" He said "Let me present you the artificial human, Nomu"
At that moment, a purple smoke appeared next to Shigaraki "Oh! Kurogiri, did you kill Thirteen?"
"I put her out of action" He replied "But, there was a student who managed to run away"
"Aaaahh! If you weren't so useful I would've crushed you!" He told him harshly as he scratched his neck "We can't win against dozens of pro-heroes so it's better to go home. It's a shame that All-Might is not here, but before we leave… let's smash some of his pride" He said looking at Tsuyu's direction.
However, before he dared to run in her direction, out of the corner of his eye, he saw something rush past him with great speed, making him stop in his tracks.
The next thing he saw was the straw-hat boy from before punching the Nomu with all his might. "Gomu Gomu no… PISTOL" He heard him say as he sent it to the other side of field with just one blow.
For his part, Shigaraki couldn't believe his eyes. A kid has just stroked the Nomu with enough strength to separate him from the bleeding pro-hero. "You damn brat! What do you think you ar-…" But he couldn't talk any further as he received the same destiny as his creature when Luffy's fist, covered with Armament Haki, reached his stomach.
"The next time you try to attack my friends again I'll punch you ten times harder" Luffy said to the villain that was now coughing blood in the floor.
"You…I'll kill you!" He tried to say with his hands clutched to his belly.
"Try it. You wouldn't be the first" He told him before turning to his classmates direction "Guys, come here and take Eye-bags with you, I'll take care of that thing" He said as he pointed to the Nomu.
"What?!"
"Rep, what are you talking about?!" Yelled Mineta
"Luffy, are you crazy? We won't leave you here. We'll fight with you" Said Kirishima
"No" He firmly said "This is my fight"
"Luffy-san, the villain said that the creature was created to defeat All-Might. It's too dangerous" Izuku tried to convince him.
"And? I'm the captain here so you must do what I say" He ordered them with the coldest and most commanding voice they had ever heard from him "Now, take Eye-bags with you and go. Now!"
Everyone looked at each other before answering "Yes, captain" Everyone except for Todoroki and Bakugo who decided to wait in the sidelines and intervene when the rubber airhead had problems with that monster.
The rest of them, to prevent his injuries from worsening, tried to carry their teacher with the most care possible, but then they saw him opening his eyes and turn his head towards Luffy.
"Kid…don't…" Aizawa attempted to say with the strength he had left.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine!" He simply said
Once he was sure that they were out of the danger zone he turned around, seeing the creature approaching him. When he was face to face with that thing he tried to use his Conqueror's Haki again but it didn't work, not because the Nomu had a strong will but because it didn't have any willpower at all, it was like a puppet.
"Huh? I was getting bored but you are tougher than the other guys" Luffy said with a smirk on his face as he put both hands on his knees "Good, because now I will be your opponent"
Meanwhile, in the main building, we found all the teachers in the staff's room. For his part, All-Might was about to leave for USJ hoping he could, at least, being present for the last part of the lesson. However his plans were ruined when the pro-heroes saw Iida appearing through the door, panting like he just run a marathon.
"Villains!... The villains are attacking us!"

Also, this fanfic is inspired by Luffy is Lost in the MHA world, but he gets taken in by Momo's dad by Andreiuhs.
I was really excited to write these scenes. This, along with the all the sports festival (the last part) and the internships are always my favorite moments.
